Amariah stepped foot into the cathedral, built in the nineteenth century, she had only stepped foot in it the first time to settle her curiosity about the mortal's religion, her father's prophets had laid down that religion, her father's religion, by his command. She knew it as well as the next angel did, people prayed to the angels as much as they prayed to God. However, the rules state not all prayers get answered, in fact, not many do these days.

A familiar feeling moved through Amariah's body, a feeling she used to despise but now had grown so used to, the only constant in an ever-changing world. The feeling of his presence still made her blood boil, but not in the way it used to, it used to make her angry, furious even, she hated being around him. Now it was simply instinct that made it boil, instinct all angels were born with, the one that told them demons were bad and humans were flawed but good. She would never let him know that though.

"Adriel, you didn't burst into flames, interesting" Amariah teased turning to face the demon who had entered the cathedral. She moved towards him stopping about a foot away, looking up at him she frowned slightly. "I must say, I'm a little disappointed. I would have thought what the mortal's call, my father's house would cause a demon to burst into flames."

Of all the things that Adriel thought he'd be doing today, going to see an angel in a Cathedral wasn't exactly top on his list of priorities. But everything he thought just a couples months ago has changed entirely, and it's all thanks to the angel. Amariah Haven, God's precious daughter. Oh, if he could see his baby girl now.

The doors swing open at Adriel's gentle push, and the unfamiliar feeling of peace and serenity sweeps over the demon. The aura that surrounds her, his golden girl, is altogether soothing and irritating, but he decides to let the soothing part overcome him. She could make Adriel feel guilty and happy at the same time, and he wasn't sure how. Amariah turns to look at him, and no one could ever think she was human, not in his eyes; that was an insult to her beauty. She's the embodiment of gold, the epitome of an angel if anyone tried to describe one. Then, her voice. Like the very bells this cathedral housed, mocking him with their usual banter.

Adriel had heard of demons burning in cathedrals, but usually it was the malignant ones, born in Hell and could not survive outside a human host. The demons like Adriel, they could stand it. "You seem to forget I was an angel once." Adriel replies, sliding into the pew next to his angel. "I'm just some dirty little demon to you, amn't I? You really hurt my feelings, darling." He pulls off a famous pout, only for a moment, before smirking and sliding an arm around Amariah's shoulders.

"So how is my golden girl today? Slayed any demons? Answered some prayers?"

"You seem to forget I was an angel once. I'm just some dirty little demon to you, aren't I? You really hurt my feelings, darling."

Amariah rolled her eyes settling her head on Adriel's shoulder when his arm slipped around her. She would never forget that he was an angel once, never forget how unmerciful her father could be. She would never forget that her mother died and that her father locked himself away. Sometimes, she couldn't even bring herself to call him a demon, he wasn't. He was an angel, a fallen one yes, but an angel none the less, one of her father's creations one of his first creations. Yet still he cast Adriel out with the rest of them like they were nothing.

"So how is my golden girl today? Slayed any demons? Answered some prayers?"

Golden girl. Amariah sighed, how she hated that name, it was right up there with chosen one. She had almost killed Adriel the first time he had called her that, now she simply elbowed him in the side. Sometimes she even questioned if she hated it coming from his lips, they way it rolled off his tongue like honey, it was soothing to her now. Still, she didn't feel like a golden girl, not anymore. She felt like the gold had faded away, and she was just there now. Nothing important.

"I went to the hospital. A nine-year-old boy was dying of leukaemia, his parents were praying in the chapel. I snuck into his room while they were there, he's going home tomorrow. A miraculous recovery...I could hear his mother thanking God while I left like he was the one that saved him."

A sigh escaped her lips. Closing her eyes for a moment, gently setting a hand on Adriel's leg before looking up at him.

"Didn't run into any Demon's though...They don't come within a 20-mile radius of me."

Amariah elbowed Adriel in the side at her hated nickname, but he loved to call her it. Even though he loved her, he still loved to make her angry, and somewhere deep inside him, it was payback for being God's favorite. Before he can let that get to him, she tells him a tale of a boy in a hospital, and how she saved him. The fact that the mother thanked God, that wicked being, make his blood boil. Nothing irked him more, especially now, than God getting credit when an angel was at play. It being Amariah made it even worse.

Her hand settles on his leg and he's calm once more, her aura affecting him more than usual. Her comment about the demons makes him laugh. "They're afraid your kindness will rub off on them and make them... good." Adriel pretends to puke, though the thought of doing what Amariah did, helping humans, does make him uneasy. He just has such a good time ruining them. Amariah loved to help, and he couldn't understand.

"I have to go see my fath- Lucifer today," the word father hiccups in his throat. The man that ruined his immortal life, he couldn't call him that, ever, "I told him I had a meeting with a beautiful blonde angel that I couldn't miss." Adriel finishes, kissing Amariah on her forehead. She really did brighten his day, as always. But that wasn't the real reason they met up today. He knew Lucifer was plotting to kill one of God's angel, but Adriel didn't know who yet. He was afraid that if one of the demons, or even Lucifer himself, saw Adriel with Amariah, he would choose her. He had to warn her, whoever it was going to be. Adriel tries not to let the worry show, because Amariah would definitely know something is wrong.

Goosebumps covered Amariah's skin at Lucifer's name, her reaction wasn't even intentional it just happened. Looking at Adriel her expression became worried. If Lucifer found out Adriel was seeing her, if he already knew. Amariah didn't let the thought enter her mind of what he would do to her if he got his hands on her. God's daughter would be quite the prize. Closing her eyes to the feeling of Adriel's lips on her forehead forced her body back into a state of relaxation.

"Will you be home tonight then?" She questioned softly, they each had their own separate apartments of course, but they also had one they shared more often then they used their separate ones. Amariah had grown used to calling the shared apartment home. She shifted pressing a gentle kiss to Adriel's lips, keeping her hand on his thigh. That feeling rose in her chest, the one that made her not want to stop, but they always did, they always stopped before it got too far. Sometimes Amariah regretted it, sometimes she didn't really know what to think.

The sound of the Cathedral doors flying open made Amariah jump away from Adriel, it looked like a women holding a child. Amariah could feel the chill from where they were sitting in one of the front pews. It was the chill of death that filled the room causing the angel to shiver. Amariah moved out of the pew as the women ran over.

"Please, I heard miracles happen here, where is the priest?" The women was hysteric, Amariah could sense it on the girl before the women spoke of what had happened. "A man attacked her, his eyes they were pitch black!"

Amariah took the girl from her mother's arms. The girls blood was red and black quickly seeping through Amariah's clothes. She didn't have time to get the girl away from her mother to perform the miracle, closing her eyes, Amariah focused on the life in her arms. It took longer than she would have liked but soon the girl was coughing and perfectly fine.

She looked at Adriel. 'you should go, Lucifer will be wondering where you are, and you don't want him to come looking. I have to alter their memories now. I will see you at the apartment.' Amariah spoke in his mind like she often did when she couldn't speak out loud or didn't have the energy. She wanted to know why demons were full out attacking humans now, but she could find that out later.

Adriel relished the feeling of her lips on his, her hand on his leg… but she stopped, like they always did. Like she always did. "do you want me to come over golden go-" The smell of blood. It filled him up like nothing else could. Human blood, it was so sweet. Adriel went through a time in the Dark Ages where he would drink it; he didn't do it now, being all taboo. The smell drove him crazy, like a vampire three days off of a feed. He immediately tensed up, looking at the mother and her child with wide eyes.

But Amariah, she knew exactly what to do. She took the death child from the mother's hands, and before she could turn the mother away, she performed a miracle. Adriel never got to see one before he fell, and didn't hang out with angels before Amariah. The wide eyes of fear turned into the wide eyes of wonder, seeing the child healed before his very eyes. Adriel thought for a moment, if he were an angel- no, there's no place for thoughts like that. She spoke in his head, and he finally tore himself away from the scene.

"What's my baby boy doing in God's house?" Lucifer. Adriel rolls his eyes, walking down the block and away from the cathedral; taking Lucifer away from Amariah. The older demon walks right behind Adriel, and he's tried to fight it but [i]dammit], he's scared of Lucifer. Lucifer grabs him by the back of his jacket, turning them both into the tea shop on the corner. The father and son sit in one of the corner booths, and the waitress brings around a pot and two cups. "Adri, have you chosen our precious angel to kill?" Adriel peers over the cup of his tea, squinting his eyes at his father.

(ooc: sorry It's kinda short and crappy)

After dealing with the mother and her child, Amariah started walking to the shared apartment. A cool breeze pulled her blonde hair violently over her shoulders, it was like a winter's night in summer which caused Amariah to become a little paranoid, she was worried about Adriel, and worried about whether or not Lucifer knew. The war was clearly escalating if demons were starting to full out attack humans for no reason, yet she hadn't heard anything from her father about any escalations.

Amariah moved up the stairs to the apartment carefully unlocking the door, her hands were shaking, she didn't know why she was so paranoid, scared even. Adriel was really all she could think about if he was okay, she hated about what Lucifer would make him do, even the thought of it made her cringe. She strongly believed Adriel shouldn't be under Lucifer's control, that he should still be in heaven, still be an angel, but she would never argue it with her father, she would never actually bring it up.

"Adriel?"
Amariah asked cautiously, she had been reading a book, losing track of time, she hadn't even realized it was past twelve. She slowly stood up moving around the corner sighing in relief. "I was worried." Amariah rested a hand on his chest kissing him. "How was...it?" Amariah didn't even want to say Lucifer's name, she was so paranoid about it.

Adriel had never been so shaken after a visit from his father. Theres a new revival in the human culture, more people are turning to God, his father claimed, though from Adriel's perspective, they still seemed corrupt and secular as ever. This was the reason Lucifer gave for killing an angel, and Adriel was going to do it. Adriel stormed away from his father, and headed straight for his own apartment, where he would double back and meet Amariah at their shared apartment.

At his apartment, two demons met him, Seraph and Hale. They were the few, like Adriel, who were once angels and were allowed their way with humankind like Adriel. "hey Adri, why don't you come have some fun with us?" Hale purrs, slapping an arm around Adriel's shoulders, claws digging into his dress shirt. Adriel went, whether he liked it or not. And he certainly didn't. While they went on a stroll, Hale's claws slicing deeper and deeper into Adriel's skin, they told him of the plan. Attacking humans was just the start, and would end with a dead angel. They were here to make sure Adriel did it himself.

A few physical encouragements were also seemed necessary, leaving the two demons in need of half-carrying the younger demon back home. Their little walk ended at Adriel and Amariah's apartment complex. "Daddy knows you've been keeping secrets, Adri, and he's gonna find out who you keep in there real soon."

Amariah was home soon after, placing a hand on his chest and kissing him. He grabbed her waist, pulling her to him and closing around her in a fierce, protective hug. No one was going to hurt her, not on his watch. Even himself. "I have to protect you, Mari." Adriel whispers, hands twisted tight into her shirt, his head buried in the crook of her neck.

Amariah gently wrapped her arms around Adriel's neck when he pulled her into a hug. There was something wrong she could feel it, she just didn't ask or say anything, until he whispered about having to protect her. She pulled back from him just enough that she could look him in the eyes.

"Protect me from what?"
There was very little in the world that could cause harm to angels, and Amariah wasn't a regular angel. Her mother having been an archangel and her father God himself, there was even less that could hurt her, Lucifer was about the only one that could hurt her demon-wise, Adriel could too but not to the extent his father could. That's what brought on her slight distress, Adriel had just come from a meeting with Lucifer, and now he was claiming he had to protect her.

Amariah took his hand linking her fingers through his, she brought her lips back to his leaving them there for a while, before pulling away just enough to talk. "It's going to be fine. I can look after myself, and this apartment is warded to keep Lucifer and my father out." Amariah had put the warding up after Adriel and herself had started being more intimate with each other in order to keep the prying eyes of both their fathers out. It was the same warding she used whenever they were together, that way their parents couldn't see them together, though the one in the apartment was permanent, while the small ones she used were temporary.

Resting a hand on Adriel's stomach, Amariah looked up smiling at him, kissing him once more. She herself was tensed and stressed, but Adriel seemed worse off, distracting him (and herself) was the only thing she could think of doing.

Adriel sighs, pressing a kiss into her sweet, soft neck. "We can talk later." Adriel purrs, letting his hands wander to their delight, kissing her passionately. Amariah is so beautiful, and having her all to himself made it even better. They were intimate, but not yet in the way that he usually was with women.

Adriel pulls away from kissing her just long enough to lead her to the couch, pulling her on top of him, his hands cupping her thighs. "I don't think Daddy Dearest would be too happy, hm? His darling daughter in the arms of a dirty demon." Adriel teases, his breath hot in her ear. They took to their own desires, letting their instincts drive their intimacy. Adriel was waiting for the moment she would stop him, as usual, but this time it didn't come. At least, it wasn't Amariah that stopped them this time.

"You lucky bastard! Doing it with an angel?" Seraph. Adriel turns from Amariah, eyes blazing black. Hale is right behind him, a serpentine smirk on his handsome face. Adriel covers Amariah's body with his own, just in case things got ugly. "Now Adri, we know you want to prove yourself so badly, but God's daughter? There's easier angels to kill." Adriel roars, launching himself at the former angel. He could take them on, but his partial exhaustion from... activities with Amariah, Seraph and Hale had the upper hand. They got him a few times in the stomach, forcing him to his knees, and sneering at at Amariah. "I don't know about you, Seraph, but I just can't wait to see what Lucifer thinks of his baby boy falling in love with God's daughter."

A small shiver moved through Amariah's body from Adriel pressing a kiss to her neck. His hands wondering her body left what seemed to be electricity under wherever he touched her, she wondered how something that was supposed to be wrong, felt so right. Adriel was right for her, he was hers, just they way she was his. Amariah body protested slightly at the loss of contact between their lips as he led her back to the couch, taking her place on top of Adriel she smiled slightly.

"You aren't a dirty demon...Just a fallen angel." Amariah whispered pressing a kiss to his jaw. Amariah didn't stop it this time, but of course, the first time she decides to be with Adriel fully, someone else stops them.

"You lucky bastard! Doing it with an angel? Now Adri, we know you want to prove yourself so badly, but God's daughter? There's easier angels to kill." Amariah moved off the couch the minute they brought Adriel to his knees. She sneered right back at the two of them, she wasn't exactly in the mood to deal with them.

"I don't know about you, Seraph, but I just can't wait to see what Lucifer thinks of his baby boy falling in love with God's daughter." Her jaw clenched slightly, anger boiled in her blood like the first time she had run into Adriel. She watched as Seraph and Hale tormented him, one more punch into Adriel's stomach. "Stop it!" The words came out of her mouth before she could think about them, causing the two to chuckle.

"Explain to me, Golden girl."
The nickname slithered off his tongue like a snake, her hands balled into a fist. "How is it, that God's own daughter, his only daughter, the chosen one. Comes to love Lucifer's own son, the very thing she is supposed to hate most?"

"I don't have to explain anything to you."
Amariah took a step forward towards them, she flicked her wrist and they went flying against the wall, away from Adriel. "I think it is unwise for you to taunt me. I think it was extremely unwise for you to bring Adriel to his knees, and if you so much as speak another word, I will erase you from history and time just as easily as you were put there."

"Perhaps, we will see you in hell Amariah. You don't seem to be the Golden Princess you used to be. You've fallen, just like the rest of us." Amariah could feel her body heating up, and in moments, it was almost like she was glowing. Not the glow of an angel, the glow of a deity, the glow of God himself. Heavenly fire. It ran in Amariah's veins like it ran in her fathers. The room lit up for a split second then Seraph and Hale were gone, black spots on the wall was the only sign they had ever existed. And Amariah, she was unconscious on the floor, like her power had rebounded draining her of her strength.

Adriel watches, a strange mix of horror and awe, as the two demons flew away from him at the flick of Amariah's wrist. Though the two were on similar levels of power, she obviously has the upper hand. They taunt her once more, but before he can intervene, Amariah starts glowing. It's like God had entered the room and is ready to slay all these demons for their wrongdoings. And when the room lights up, Adriel is blinded. Her power wasn't directed at him, but he felt the backwash effects immediately.

When the blindness wears off, he blinks a few times, and realizes Amariah is unconscious. "Shit, Mari!" Adriel practically yelps, rushing over to her with gasping breaths. The two really knocked him senseless, and he spits blood onto the carpet. Adriel picks her up bridal style, pressing a long kiss into her forehead, one lone tear dripping onto it. Whatever just happened, it wasn't going to be good for either of them.

He slowly carries her up to their bed, pulling the sheets away and laying her gently onto it.

When she woke, he would have to explain what they meant by killing an angel- well, the reason why Lucifer wants him to kill an angel. But for right now, he just has to think of Seraph and Hale's words. The very thing she is supposed to hate most. You've fallen, just like us. Then he remembered; before Seraph and Hale interrupted, Amariah called Adriel an angel. No one thought he could be worthy of her, except Amariah herself, because she still thought of him as an angel. Fallen angel, but no demon.

Amariah came to a few hours later, her head was pounding like the universe itself was trying to get out, her vision was blurry but cleared after she blinked her eyes a few times. She turned her head resting her hand on Adriel's, the movement sent a jolt of pain through her body, she was sore, whatever had rebounded her power back at her she wasn't a fan of it. She shot up flinching at the protest her body gave to the sudden movement, it was dawning upon her that she had lost control of her power, something she hadn't done since she was a child, using the heavenly fire while Adriel was in the room.

"Are you okay? Did I hurt you?" It didn't look like he was injured in any way, but Amariah could never be too sure. Heavenly fire was a force to be reckoned with, even angels could be hurt by it. She knew Seraph and Hale weren't dead, she hadn't used it to end their pathetic existence though she could have. She used it to simply wipe their minds and send them back where they came from.

Amariah gently cupped his face with her hands looking Adriel in the eyes, ignoring the pain raging through her body. If she had hurt him in any way she would never forgive herself. Perhaps, we will see you in hell Amariah. You've fallen, just like the rest of us. She closed her eyes at the words echoing through her head, she didn't know why or how those words had made her angry enough to lose control of something she had always had control of, but she did, and those words were going to haunt her for a very long time.

"Seraph and Hale aren't dead, they just won't remember what happened....Maybe I should have ended them, but Lucifer would get suspicious if they disappeared...." Amariah trailed off, she was rambling like she often did when she was scared. Her hands were still trembling an after effect from using the power, along with the headache. Placing a gentle kiss on Adriel's cheek Amariah rested her head on his shoulder laying an arm across his torso. She was so drained, it was like Seraph and Hal had absorbed the power and thrown some back at her. The thought was rather concerning.

Adriel pops up at the same time Amariah does, watching her face for tells of pain. Her voice was concerned for him, but every inch of her body told him she was hurt. "Don't you dare worry about me right now." Adriel's voice is gravelly, trying not to tear up even as Amariah cups his face with her hands.

Adriel didn't want to worry her, but the affects of her attack took something from him. He felt weak, weaker than he ever has. It happened a lot with Amariah, like she was draining the demonic power he claimed. Heavenly fire could obliterate demons quite easily, and he was lucky to be alive. Adriel wouldn't tell her any of it. He wouldn't tell her of the blindness he felt after her attack, or the burning he felt along his back. No, all he did was kiss her, deeply. He knew that demons could heal, but only the ones that had been angels and known true healing. Lucifer had done it when Adriel was a child, when an angel had tried to kill Adriel for the mistake he was.

He does what he remembers hi father doing: he cups the back of Amariah's head with his hand, and presses their foreheads together. All at once, a surge of power rushes from him into her, and unbeknownst to him, his eyes glowed a light pink color, rather than their usual black. His body went numb, cold. The usual demon fire he felt within him was exhausted.

Adriel couldn't help but let his weakened body fall against Amariah; he was barely able to keep his eyes open. "See? I... keep you safe... protect you..."

The pain disappeared quickly. Amariah gently ran her fingers through Adriel's hair like a mother would comforting a child. He was cold, and it worried her, he was never cold even though you might expect him to be. Linking her fingers through, his a warm light came from where their fingers were linked. Her advanced healing from her Father gave her the ability to heal anything, even a Demon, with no effect to them or their own power. She let the light fade only when Adriel warmed up, only when she knew his strength had returned.

"We protect each other."
Was her only reply, she leant down kissing his temple. It was dangerous what they were doing, looked down upon, and forbidden. They both knew that, and this was just an example of it, another reminder that she was not meant to be his and he was not meant to be hers, yet, it was like they were made for each other. It was so confusing Amariah wanted to scream sometimes just thinking about it.

Everyone had labelled Adriel as a mistake, but to Amariah, he was as perfect as anyone could be. Even the most perfect beings could be flawed, all you had to do was look at her father to see that, he was the creator of everything and he was probably the most flawed. Amariah shifted so that she was back in front of Adriel, kissing him as deeply as he had kissed her before he healed her.

"You are so perfect to me Adriel." Her hand found its place on his cheek, she looked him in the eyes. "I don't care what anyone thinks, I want to be with you in every way." She linked her hand with his again. "We protect each other," she repeated bringing their lips back together.

He loves her. Every inch of his being loves her. Her kisses healed him. Her hand holds calmed him. "I'm not perfect," Adriel sighs, holding her tight, her hands enveloped in his, "but I love you. I love you so much." He looks her deeply in the eyes, his heart racing just at the sight of her. Nothing in this world could compare. So he had to do everything he could to love her and protect her. She protected him, so now it's his end of the deal.

Adriel kisses her fingertips and slowly pulls away. "I have to do something, and I don't want you to stop me. You are strong, you can protect yourself, but it would kill me if anything happened to you. So I'm going to do what I have to do." He has to kiss her, one more time. He would be back, but he had to. Amariah would always be unsafe, unprotected, with Lucifer around. Adriel knew, as his son, that Lucifer's ultimate goal was to take God's favorite creation. And after centuries, millennium, Lucifer realized it wasn't humans. It was Amariah, God's own child. He teleported quickly, eager to get away from Amariah before she could stop him.

Adriel found the man he was looking for: Michael, the chief angel of God. "I demand an audience with God. Lucifer is going after his daughter." Michael raised his eyebrows; it wasn't like any demon to tell on their own.

But he saw, in Adriel's eyes, desperate fear, and desperate love. Michael knew Amariah was too smart for the seduction of a demon, so he must have overpowered her. Michael would bring Adriel to God, for his punishment. The demon thought he was clever, yes, but Michael knew better than to trust, even with Adriel's honest eyes, the eyes of an angel that used to be.

God shifted where he was sitting lifting his eyes when Michael entered with Adriel. He left the demon at the door walking up to his Lord, he whispered something into God's ear. The man stood up immediately moving towards Adriel. "Michael, send Gabriel. Bring Amariah back now."

God circled around Adriel once, stopping in front of him, his own creation that he hadn't seen in millenniums, not since Lucifer tainted him, destroyed him and his purity. "My daughter is too smart to fall for your game Adriel. If she comes back harmed in any way." God leant over whispering into Adriel's ear. "You will truly see how unmerciful I can be."

"Restrain him. Now."

Amariah went to protest but Adriel was gone. He hadn't said where he was going so she couldn't follow, she wasn't sure she wanted to go where he went. She had settled back down in the bed when Gabriel appeared in the room with a bright light. "Amariah, your father has sent for you." How strange, her father never sent for her, never wanted to talk to her, he knew she was capable on her own. What had changed?

Like usual she did as she was told, teleporting back to heaven, back to her home. Immediately her wings appeared and a white dress replaced the human clothes she had been wearing. Angels gathered to see her, welcoming her home, but she would not be staying, she would be going back to earth, going back to Adriel.

"Father, you asked for me,"
Amariah spoke walking through the doors, then she felt it, Adriel, she rolled her shoulders glancing at him from the corner of her eye. He was bloodied, beaten, Michael standing beside him. "Yes I did. This demon, came to heavens door demanding an audience with me, says Lucifer is after you." She held her hands tightly together to keep them from shaking. "I've been trying to get him to tell me what he has done to you. He refused to speak."

God looked at Michael and the pain filled noise that filled the room caused her to feel sick. It was starting to get unbearable for her. "Michael, stop" Amariah spoke her voice authoritative. But Michael was not her angel, he was her father's angel. Amariah looked at her Father tears glazing her eyes. "Daddy, please! He didn't do anything wrong!"

She walked up to her father taking his hand, a pleading expression on her face, again the noise filled the room, Amariah closed her eyes. "Daddy....please...Adriel wasn't the one that hurt me, it was Seraph and Hale. Adriel saved my life!" God put up his hand signalling for Michael to stop. The look her father gave her was almost a look she would expect Lucifer to have. "He has tainted you!"

Amariah watched her father go for Adriel fear in her eyes she moved between the two of them. "I'm pregnant...I had to grow up without a mother, don't make my child grow up without a father." The lie fell off her tongue like she had been lying her entire life, but Amariah could tell it had hit something in her father as he took a step back. Michael let Adriel go watching him fall to the ground.

"Amariah. You are no longer welcome in heaven." He turned from his daughter. "When this war is won, and you have succeeded in the task you were given. Then and only then your sins will be forgiven and you can return." She ran over to Adriel as if her father's words hadn't affected her, she held him gently. She needed to heal him, but she couldn't do it here. "I'm sorry I've disappointed you."

She was quick to teleport them both out and back into the apartment, laying Adriel gently on the floor. "How could you be so stupid?" Tears rolled down her cheeks as she started to heal the injuries Michael had caused. Amariah was still wearing the white dress, it was no tattered and torn, a symbol that she was cast out until successful in bringing her father to victory.

Michael really showed him how merciless an angel can be.

Returning to the apartment, almost dying from the torture tactics of God, watching as the injuries wouldn't heal. The wounds were too powerful for anyone to heal but the one that had bestowed them. That was a trick Michael had used on many demons, Adriel had seen them. "No, I'm not stupid, I'm protecting you!" Adriel took her hand from his wounds, sitting up slowly and letting the pain seep through him, fuel his anger. "I'm going to go to Lucifer, and he'll see me like this. He'll want revenge. I'm his weakness, just as you are to your own father." Adriel holds her hand tight in his own, like always.

Adriel needed Lucifer's mind off of Amariah. He needed to give Lucifer a new end goal, and he could protect Amariah from it all. He was tired of being protected by her, and not being able to give the same back. He did expect Michael and God to mistrust him, but he didn't expect the beating. God wouldn't hear him out, even as he was honest. He does love Amariah, he doesn't want to hurt her. More than anything, he wanted God to look favorably upon him, for once. Completely honest.

"I love you, Amariah, I love you. You will never be safe as long as this war is going. We'll never be happy. I don't care if God clears out all of hell and Luc- my father, dies. You are everything to me." Adriel holds her against him, tears falling from his eyes and dotting her skin.

Amariah sighed wiping the tears from his eyes, wrapping her arms around his neck careful not to hurt him any more than he already was. She appreciated that he had tried to go to her father, and was thankful that her lie had stopped her father from killing Adriel. She pulled away from him looking him in the eyes kissing him. "Okay...go...but promise me you will come back."

She didn't like the idea of him going anywhere in the state he was in, but she knew there was no stopping him. Adriel was stubborn and nothing Amariah could say would change his mind. "I love you. Besides, I'm carrying your non-existent child." she joked trying to lighten the dark mood. "You have to come back." She kissed him one more time before moving away so he could teleport. Holding her breath once he disappeared.

Amariah was curled up in one of Adriel's sweaters asleep on the couch. She stirred feeling someone sit by her feet, opening her eyes she smiled seeing Adriel. It looked like his injuries had healed, she hoped he had been successful knowing he wouldn't rest until he knew she was no longer in danger. She sat up with a small yawn. "How did it go?"

Forget the angel, we're starting this war, now.

Adriel sat beside Amariah until she woke up, clasping her hand in his. "Good morning to you too sunshine," Adriel teased, kissing her hand. Things with his father went exactly as planned. Adriel crawling back to his father, bloody and beaten by his arch enemy, was just what Lucifer needed to kickstart his plan and forget about Amariah. "He's going to start the war. Another battle." Adriel told Amariah, his eyes gleaming. They could stay away from the battle, faking their own "fight" against each other, and disappear before either side knew they even left.

"There's one problem with that, Adri," Lucifer. He entered the apartment, in his true demon form, one that even God almost lost to. Lucifer grabbed Amariah, his black claws digging into the back of her neck. Adriel reached out to wrench her from his grasp, but Lucifer pointed a claw at her throat. "You make one wrong move boy, and I slice her neck."

Lucifer had seen right through him. Adriel had been too desperate to keep Amariah out of the plans, he led Lucifer right to him. The real plan involved Amariah getting Lucifer into heaven, without God's consent. And for his betrayal, Lucifer wanted Adriel to kill Amariah, right in front of God's eyes. Lucifer had been working for centuries to kill God, and now, with his own son seducing God's daughter, he had the chance.

"Wait! You let her live, I'll kill God myself. Even if I have to die, you'll win."

Amariah didn't even struggle when she was in Lucifer's grasp. She knew he needed her to get into heaven. While Adriel could teleport to the gate, Lucifer couldn't get near the place, but Amariah could, her father would never actually banish her; if he had she wouldn't still be able to hear the angel chatter.

"Don't fuss Adriel...He can't kill me, I'm the only thing that can get him into heaven."
Amariah bit her lip refusing to make any type of noise to let Lucifer know she was in pain when his grip tightened around her neck like a vice. Father, Lucifer has me by the neck. He's trying to get me to let him into Heaven...please, come, and bring the Archangels. Still being able to use the angel chatter to her advantage, Amariah hoped her father had heard her, or that Gabriel did. Her Father had Gabriel listening for anything specifically coming from Amariah, in case he missed it.

It didn't take long for Gabriel, Michael, Raphael, Uriel, Raguel, Ramiel and Sariel to appear. Each of them armed with heavenly weapons and each of them very ready to die for Amariah and their Lord. But where was her father?

"Gabriel..." Amariah was struggling to breathe now, she was starting to feel the demonic energy from Lucifer weakening her own, it was obvious.

Gabriel was Amariah's Archangel, a gift from her Father he answered to her and her alone, his attention was immediately drawn to her when she spoke. "Get Adriel out of here...Now!" before Gabriel could act a flash of light filled the room.

God was now among them, he put his hand up stopping Gabriel, placing a hand on gentle hand on Adriel's shoulder. He wasn't going to hold the boy hostage like Lucifer was doing to his daughter, he saw now, that Adriel's goal was truly to protect Amariah, that he did indeed love her.

"No need Gabriel. I will protect him, he is safer here, where I am."
Looking to Amariah who nodded the best she could, Gabriel stepped back into line with his brothers. "I suggest you let my daughter go Lucifer. This quarrel is between you and I."

She didn't understand. Nobody understood Lucifer like Adriel did. He was his child, after all. "I have your biggest weakness in my claws and you expect me to let her go? For an omniscient being, you really don't know anything." Lucifer cackles, feeling the energy from the angel weakening. Adriel could sense the demonic air swallowing that part of the room.

Adriel feels God's hand on his shoulder, and tenses immediately. God says that he'll protect Adriel. This is hard to believe, considering God had never given him any sort of attention from the moment he was born. Adriel believed it was a ploy, to get Lucifer to let go of Amariah, but there was a small feeling of hope and redemption. Lucifer cackled again, sneering at Adriel. "And I'm the evil one? Get a demon's hopes up that he could be something good again? An angel? Don't make me laugh."

Adriel hangs hi head in shame. He has to do this, Lucifer will never let Amariah go. "God forgive me." Adriel whispers, taking his father's holy dagger, filled with all of his angelic power before he became a full demon, and shoved in into God's side. The archangels lunged at him, glowing with their holy angel power. Lucifer let Amariah fall from his grasp, and Adriel lunged for her, cradling her in his arms. "Please don't hate me, please, I had to, please-" He protects her from the fight between the archangels and Lucifer, while God laid on the floor, dying. In a few seconds, the archangels would have to choose between stopping Lucifer and saving God.

Amariah pushed away from Adriel staying low to avoid any other injury from either side, she got to her Father, despite how strong her healing power was, she wouldn't be able to heal him, not alone, she would need Michael, and if he did the balance of the universe would be thrown off. This was about much more than a petty war.

"Michael send him back to where he came from."
Amariah barked at the Archangel, the seven of them had the power to do it, it wouldn't end Lucifer but it would get him out the way, give them time. Of course, they did as they were told, of course, they chose God over Lucifer. Lucifer was a fight for another day.

Michael and Amariah healed her father enough that Michael could get God to heaven where he could be tended to by enough Angels that the injuries would heal. "I will stay with Amariah." Gabriel whispered but she heard it perfectly. Her eyes went to Adriel and she couldn't help the rage that boiled in her, had she been wrong? All this time, had she been wrong? As Adriel stepped towards her she stepped away from him.

"Don't touch me."
She snapped at him. "Don't come anywhere near me." She walked around Adriel, Gabriel following close behind her, she threw the door open with enough strength that it left a dent in the wall. She was going to the Cathedral, where she always went when she was upset, and she was more than upset, she was rather heartbroken.

"No, Amariah-!" She left, and he knew that she would never trust him again. If she even loved him anymore, she would always wonder if he would betray her like that. She wouldn't understand. He did it to protect her and now… he lost her. The love of his life. "That's my boy! I didn't know you had that in you-"

"Don't touch me. I'm done with you. You're were never meant to be my father, and you ruined me from the moment I was born. And you knew I would do whatever it took to protect her, didn't you? You knew about her, how much I loved her. I'm through! Adriel screams at his father. Lucifer grabs the boy's wrist, burning his claws into the younger demon, and slams him against the wall. Lucifer smiles viciously, blood red fangs staring at Adriel. "She never loved you, Adriel. It was all an act, so she could bring me down for her father. Ever wonder why she never 'went all the way?' Because she couldn't stand you. Amariah is nothing but a liar for her father, and you were stupid enough to fall for it." Lucifer spits at Adriel, every word slicing into his tender heart.

Adriel rips away from his father, but his father's claws curl into his back. He feels the claws sink into his skin, and he cries out, brought to his knees. He can feel his demonic energy, the heat that constantly flowed through his body, draining from him. "You want to be one of God's lackeys again, fine, you'll feel what it's like to be a fallen angel again." Lucifer growls, draining every bit of demon from his son. He left Adriel on the sidewalk, laying on the ground in icy numbness and pain.

Amariah sat in the pew of the cathedral ignoring every word Gabriel was saying to her. She didn't want to hear it, she wouldn't hear it. Tears rolled down her cheeks, she had never hurt this much. It honestly felt like she was being torn apart. "Your father is going to be alright." Gabriel put a reassuring hand on her shoulder which she shrugged off immediately. "I'm not worried about my father. I'm worried about Adriel."

She sighed getting up from where she was sitting, leaving the Cathedral. She headed back to the shared apartment, avoiding the blood on the carpet from her father. Adriel wasn't there anymore, and she couldn't help wondering if he was okay. She had let her anger in the moment get the best of her, now she was worried she had lost him. Pulling on his sweater she pulled the covers back in climbing into the bed. She wasn't used to sleeping alone anymore. It was foreign, heartbreaking.

In the morning, she turned the TV on, a breaking news report flashed on the TV. "The latest victim of the serial killer that has been named the ghost killer is world famous model Aashiq Banks, who is in critical condition in the ICU of St. Mary's hospital." Amariah dropped her cup of coffee on the floor ignoring the shattering of the glass as she rushed out the apartment. What the humans were calling a serial killer was the work of demons. But a regular demon couldn't hurt Adriel, not like that.

Still too weak to teleport from her own encounter with Lucifer, Amariah had to find her way on foot. She knew where the ICU of the hospital was, she spent most of her time there. They had started calling it the miracle wing. Adriel's room was the first room.

"Ma'am, you can't go in there. Family only." Amariah rolled her eyes turning to the nurse. "I'm his girlfriend, he doesn't have family, it's just me." He just has me and I left him. The nurse opened the door for her, she rushed over to his side. Amariah took his hand almost dropping it from how cold it was. Lucifer had drained him...and Amariah was to weak herself to replace what Lucifer had taken. She was thankful this time that Gabriel had followed her.

"You need to heal him. I'm too weak, I can't." Gabriel seemed very hesitant. "Perhaps, Adriel dying is for the best Amariah." Amariah glared at the angel before her. "I will heal him, but it will leave me in the same state he is in now. I would like to see you explain that to my father." She had learned to become manipulative on her time on earth, rarely did she use it, but now she had to.

Amariah watched carefully, making sure Gabriel was doing everything right. When Adriel started to stir, Amariah ran back over to him, smiling when his eyes opened. Tears filled her eyes but for a different reason now, out of sheer relief. "Adriel. I'm so sorry...If I hadn't left..." She gently squeezed his hand a few tears rolling down her cheeks. "Please forgive me."
She knew he would still be weak, but atleast he was alive.
