He looked down at her briefly and then looked forward again, trying to find the best way to phrase what he was about to say. He eventually decides to put this straightforwardly by saying, "Do not take this the wrong way but... no, not particularly." He walks within range of Avidin and Cramoir by the time he says, "I wish to help you and get help finding Mr. Icheru as soon as possible." He lays down May and then his eyes catch a large green mass over Avidin's gills and shoulders and he curses, "The moisture here is making the fungus spread faster, this is to be expected but we need to move quickly", checking Cramoir, who actually is still standing tall, Horris lets out a sigh of relief, "You seem fine, you are infected but it is spreading slowly, are you still feeling okay?" He looks up at the merman and stands straight but still doesn't come close to matching the behemoth's height.

Horris looked toward May and saw her legs convert to one fin, he looked around, anxious to see if others were there, and he gripped his gun slightly. He then looked down at the wounded Avidin as he spoke, even though he wasn't talking to Avidin, and said, "That may be so, but I would rather stay in my own element, if I could give you watertight skin to avoid drying out, would you want to leave your almost weightless home to lumber across roads?" He then look toward Cramoic as he listened to his reply. He suddenly had a new appreciation for him, and was slightly intimidated, but didn't show it at all. He commented by saying, "Well those are some remarkable feats, and you will most certainly survive this, but you must be careful; you are basically a leper right now, you cannot touch your son's mate or your wife until we cure you, I apologize but if you did at this point they would get the fungus--and they are not warlords."

Horris looks toward the mother first when he makes his reply, "You must not touch them until they are treated, I am sorry but this is for your own safety." This is all he says to the new mermaids, for he didn't trust them because of the fact that they were strangers to him. He then looks at May and makes a solemn statement, his face frowning and eyes looking down, "You know that that is a foolish thing to believe... We will have to actively search for him, and please don't give me false hope". He lifts up his gun and turns to the forest, "But enough of that, let's cure your people so we can start on that search". And with that Horris begins to walk to the line of trees, but then stops and turns around toward May again, "Do you think it wiser for me to go with you or protect them here?", he asks.

Horris grabbed his gun and armour, strapping the armour over his shoulders and then reattaching the metal breastplate. He made sure his gun was intact and held it across his chest, gripping it tightly to keep it stable but keeping his finger off of the trigger. Once Horris finished he walked behind her, quickly catching up to her and shifting his eyes side to side and tilting his head to look where he thought he saw movement; this was a standard gaurding pattern and behavior that had been taught to him alongside many other gaurds, and it emphasized a very crucial aspect of gaurding--the need to be always alert. He had used this standard formation with Hanzel and he was using it again here. "Well, I shall follow you then, because you are not with a group and I need you if we are to cure them and get on to finding Mr. Icheru." He then slowed his pace so as to keep in step with her.
