Lionel smiled at Aiden before walking to his side. He gave Aidenâs shoulder a slight friendly punch to
break the ice between them. Trish was done with the call, he then came up to the two.
âReady to go?â Trish asked
âAiden is coming with usâ Lionel told Trish and placed his arm around the blonde, smiling.
âOh both of you are friends already?â Trish grinned. âWeâll letâs go thenâ
Lionel nodded and looked at Aiden with a smiled before walking ahead, smoking his cigarette.
They were waiting for the fireflies to appear on a field with tall but thin looking trees not far from the village. The first ten minutes was almost boring, nothing but darkness of the night. Only the sound of other animals like crickets no sight of the fireflies. The wind wasnât blowing hard that night. Not much fluttering was done by the long grassed of the field. Lionel watched the trees in the jungle and the sky above before looking at the two which was not more than two feet away from him. A smile appeared on Lionelâs face. Somehow, it entertains him being in this condition with friends. He shook his head and he turned his gaze around once more.
A moment later, a tiny blue light could be seen flying around.
âFireflyâŠâ Lionel whispered and nudged Trish for his attention
A second later, there were two. Another second more, there were three. A full five seconds later, thousands of tiny blue lights filled the area. Some was hanging to the trees while some were moving around the air, lighting up the area with blue. The sight was beautiful.
âWooâŠâ Trish muttered and grinned, amazed.
While gazing at the fire flies blue lights, Lionel walked backwards and stopped beside Aiden. For a moment, he was silent.
âHave you seen anything like this before?â He whispered a question to Aiden
