Setting
Urithlia is a very large forest tundra region that makes home to the Urithlia Pack. This pack is the largest of the three. Not just by pack size, but by body size as well. They are very large wolves that can stand up to 3 1/2 feet tall to their shoulders. They are known to have good hospitality to new comers and are loyal and trustworthy once you get to know them. The are not quick to anger and don't fight often, so they aren't the strongest fighters of Ebodin, though they're numbers pack a punch. They aren't very stradegetic either, for they have the most prey in their region. Even though their hunting skill isn't all that great

Spark paddled softly from her place she had been resting. She stretched her golden legs one at a time, savering the feeling of her now loose muscles. She shook her pelt to get the grass off, then looked off into the distance. It would be soon that the creatures of the day would be rising.

The sun had just barely started peeking over the mountains, the air was cool and the light breeze barely tickled the grey wolf's ears. He had been watching the dark sky for far to long before the dawn finnaly broke its silence. Another sleepless night. He rested his head back down between his paws with a small sigh. If anything, he wished the moon would rise again. He wasn't even sure why.
Apollo stood, and checked around himself. He should return back to the den before the pack would awaken and find him gone. The trees rustled slightly with the wind as the wolf turned and made his way down the slight rocks, his wings nestled down on his sides. Day had begun.

Spark was still a little groggy. She had slept rather deeply. She stretched once again, then went over to a nearby creek for a fresh drink. Her ears pricked as she heard other wolves awake. Not wanting to bother them she gracefully made her way to the shadows of a nearby tree and began grooming herself thoroughly.

As Apollo made his way back to the dens, he found himself wandering through his thoughts again. Before he knew it, he was by the creek, noticing that very few of the pack were awake. Feeling a sudden shiver, he shook his body and then flexed out his muscles.
The wolf dipped down his head for a drink, lapping up the chilled water. Out of almost nowhere, a young black wolf pounced onto him playfully.
"Good Morning!!" The pup hapily yipped. Her tail wagged nearly a hundred times per second as she flapped her wings, rising a few feet from the ground before plopping down right by him once again.
"Oh, good morning, Scarlet. I see you got a good night's sleep?" Apollo sighed, what a bright young wolf she was. She was an excelent tracker, sometimes even sharper then himself, and he had to admit... he wasn't ANYTHING to scoff at when it came to tracking. Apollo couldn't wait to see what Scarlet would find herself doing in the pack once she was older.

"Good morning, Apollo." Spark approached in her ever so graceful way, golden pelt glittering against the creek-water. She bent her head down and took a swift drink to quench the thirst she had built up from her rest. "Did you sleep well, if you slept at all?" she asked, voice gentle.

"Yup, I had a great sleep. How about you?" she asked rolling around on the water. She got up and shook her fur when Spark walked over. "Good Morning!!" Scarlet said shaking the water off her fur. She hopped out of the water, her tail still wagging. She tilted her head over to a bush a few feet away watching as a bunny hopped out. She smiled but didnt go after it. Scarlet sat down, calming herself down. She was usually so hyper during the morning... and the afternoon... and... basically all through the day.

Spark's blue eyed gaze looked over to Scarlet. She was sure energetic... The she-wolf looked over at Apollo, still awaiting his answer. In the meantime she answered, "It was alright." She didn't like sharing personal info with pups. They were so loud mouthed in her opinion, though one would have to admit they were cute.

"I slept fine..." he answered, sending a slight smile the beautiful Spark's way and a reasuring nod to the pup.

"Thank you," Spark replied, eyes glittering. She looked around and took a scent of their surroundings. "I'll be right back." She gracefully crouched in a hunting stance and stalked forward through the bushes. Only a moment later did she return with a large rabbit in mouth. She stooped and dropped it before Apollo. "To you, Apollo."

Apollo watched as the shewolf caught her prize swiftly and then presented it.
"To you, Apollo." The rabbit lay limp on the ground in front of him.
The silver wolf couldn't help but give yet another smile, "Thank you." he nodded in reply.

Spark's tail lashed suddenly. Her startling blue gaze flashed as her ears pricked and her mouth opened to take a scent of the air. "Do you smell that?" she asked quietly. "It smells like humans." She took a step in front of her leader, unsure what they would do. After all, the tribe hadn't been joined by the two legged creatures for a while now. Were they still normal beings, or had they been mutated along with the wolves?

Spark's gaze flickered to the pup. "Either you mean East, or there are two groups moving towards us." She took another scent of the air. After a pause she turned to look at Apollo. "Shall I check it out?" she asked in the gentle tone she always prefered to use with him.

"Scarlet, wait." Apollo called after the pup. Scarlet was long gone already. Apollo didn't like the thought of humans being this close, not only that, but Spark was right, there were to groups heading this way, and they had no need to be. Spark awaited an answer.
"Yes, check the east, I'm going to get Scarlet and check the west. Under no cicumstances do you get seen." He gave her a nod. "If they continue progressing this way, head back to the dens and get everyone moved to the northern side of the river. We don't need a run in with them."
He quickly chased after Scarlet, knowing Spark knew what to do, but Scarlet was young and might do something... stupid.
No one in the pack really knew or saw humans like Apollo did, he had the collar to prove it. To many times as a puppy, he saw strung up wolves from all kinds of diferrent packs. They in no way showed mercy to the wolves, some were even taken at young ages and trained...others weren't so lucky. They died at the end of a strong rifle. It was his responsibility to keep that from happening to the pack.

Spark nodded. "Understood." At that she gracefully bounded off at a well-paced speed. She had a silent step though that may have been for her smaller size. Most grown wolves towered over her. After running for some time she abruptly stopped. She could see the tree line. Her two blue eyes widened at the sight of how many men there were. And there was another group in the West! Spark wildly turned and raced back through the wood towards her pack.

When Spark reached the camp she let out a warning howl. The older warriors of the clan nodded in her direction and began ushering the rest of the pack towards a safer place where the humans couldn't find them. The she-wolf turned on her heal and raced back towards the East. Somehow she would make a distraction that would give the pack enough time to flee.

Apollo raced, smelling around franticly for her scent, his ears then pricked up as he heard Spark's howl in the distance, not good. Finnaly, he caught her scent and went racing.
The silver wolf's pace halted as he crounched into some bushes. There she was... in contact with a human!
"It's okay, little one, were not going to hurt you." The female human tried once again. Scarlet made a small whine and backed up.
One of the males in the back opened up thier bag and pulled out a harness. Apollo knew to well what they had in mind, and he would NEVER let that life come about for the pup.
"Shhh... it's alright." The woman quickly searched through one of her jacket pockets as if she just remembered something. "Here you go, would you like some?" The beef jerky's smell filled the wolves' nostrils as Apollo crouched down closer. Just as it seemed Scarlet was about to do something, Apollo emerged from the bush, snarling.
"Whoa!" One of the other humans gasped.
Another spoke up, "Check out how large IT is." Another trembled.
"Hey, maybe you should move." Yet another spoke up.

"Dude, that's not a wolf," a younger male said, clearly scared.
"Just shut up and capture it," another replied in frustration as he attempted to throw a net over her.
With a powerful beat up her wings the net was sent flying over a smaller group of huddled men. Spark growled and bared her teeth at them, though even in battle she was stunningly beautiful.
"Bring out the dogs!"
Her ears pricked as two large wolf-like dogs were pulled from the truck. They were larger than they should have been, most likely from mutation, but didn't have wings like the real wolves did.
"Oh, she's a pretty one," the black one yipped.
"Yeah, let's catch her and make her ours," the smaller one agreed and took a dangerous step closer to her.

Apollo growled, hearing the human. "RUN!" He howled, leaping on the man aproaching her. Immeadiatly, it seemed everything leaped into action. The woman shreeked, worried for the younger human as Apollo heard another howl in the distance, it was Spark, she needed help, right now! Scarlet seemed to be a little out of it, becoming cnfused from everyone nearly malling Apollo over. Scarlet was already to big to pick up by the neck, so he did all he could think of. Before one of the males could jump on him, he was pushing Scarlet into the brush, rather quickly too.
He stopped and gave her a very stern look in the eyes, "Get away from the humans, understood?! Then run to the pack dens on the north side of the river!"

Not noticing Apollo yet, Spark made a terrifyingly fast move. She shot out and knocked the smaller dog over, then nipped at the black dog's leg. It recoiled with a sharp yelp though it came back with a bite. The wolf ducked out of the way and smacked him with one of her giant golden wings. He whimpered before taking several steps back. The smaller dog had now scrambled to his feet. He latched his teeth onto her hind-leg and attempted to rip it out from under her. Being much larger than he Spark bit the scruff of his neck and threw him to the side. Now with the dogs slightly ruffled she took a step back, still having trouble manuevering with her foot caught in the rope.

Apollo landed down, startling both the humans and the rather rufled up dogs. Immeadiatly, the grey wolf started on the rope, focusing on getting it off. "Grrr... Your going to pay for that!" The larger black dog leaped for Spark again as the smaller one rebalanced himself. Out of the corner of his eyes, Apollo noticed the humans putting together tranquilizers. There was no way he was going to get the rope off by chewing and clawing on it. They would have to tug it from its base, which happened to be connected to a tree. Spark was dealing with the dogs again, but those humans were almost done, he would have to stop them first.

Frustration was evident in Sparks barks of warning. Now and then her eyes traveled to Apollo trying to help her escape, but it didn't look like they were getting anywhere. "Just run," the she-wolf yipped to her leader. "I'll be fine." Her blue eyes turned to the dogs, who were backing away steadily. With one large snarl from her they were running off back towards the trucks.
"This isn't going to be easy," the lanky human sighed.
"What gave you that idea?" the shorter one countered.
The lanky man rolled his eyes at the other. "There, the tranquilizers are ready." He handed one to his partner and both men began talking forward with them. The other men of the pack were getting cages and other items to capture the wolves.

At the sound of Scarlet's howl Spark became rather out of control. "Apollo, go help Scarlet!" she yowled. "Please, I can hold them off. She's too young to fight for long." She nipped at one of the humans while continuously clawing at the rope at her leg. She began buffeting them once more with giant gusts of wind.

Apollo heard Scarlet, and then Spark, but that's when he noticed the sharp knife a man had on the side of his leg. He had one more idea, and if they acted quick, they could both get to Scarlet. He bounded to ward the man, bearing his teeth loudly. The man, startled, let out a shot. Apollo's teeth easily wrapped by the handle and yanked it out. The man fell to the ground, as the other quickly wisped around, trying to identify where he had dissapeard to. Before they could, he was back at the rope, easily slicing it off from about three feet from her anckle. He dropped the Knife and yelled out to her.
"LET'S GO!"
