Setting
What he had not expected was for it to be a gang hideout, and for several armed men to be pointing guns at his back. Luckily, he was in a kitchen, and a kitchen had various sharp pointy objects to throw. To his right was various knives in a Knife holder. To his left, a cleaver, half eaten ham (Danny got hungry), and some prongs.
In a single moment, Danny turned the lights off with his mind, grabbed the knives, turned the power back on and threw two of them into the gang member's chests. Each pierced the heart, killing them. Danny shed a few tears of sadness, but a smile also glanced on his face. He hated what he was, what the lab turned him into. But he couldn't fight the conditioning, about how each kill they made him feel....good...
Luckily for him, the rest of the flock wasn't here. Danny's neural conditioning was his one secret from them. He looked at the final member, dodged his buckets while taking the cleaver, and threw it at his neck. Danny quickly turned the gas on, got the supplies, and ran. He made the lights spark the gas, so the whole place went up in flames. Danny wanted to keep this secret from them. In his belief, their moral standing was one of the reasons why they were better then the white coats. But Danny, Danny was trained and forced to kill. He was also afraid that if the flock found out they would hate him.
And he didn't want that either. He began to fly towards his own hideout, a penthouse in an abandoned hotel. If anyone wanted breakfast from him, they would meet him there.
Course he highly doubted he'd run into anybody connected to the labs, but then again as bored as he was he may have picked a fight with a gangbanger or two....or more. "Augh~....." was all he could think to say as he brought down the small barrier he was using for target practice. He moved so he could lay on his back, bringing up another barrier to shield the ceiling as he began flicking the tiny, under powered spheres at it again.
He heard a sound below of someone entering the penthouse, though he didn't really bother to look. It wasn't his best of habit that he'd often let his guard down when he was this bored, so he could only hope it was Danny as he shouted. "Please tell me you have something to eat because I am so~ fucking hungry right now. And I'm saving those granola bars for emergencies so no..scolding me or anything about them!" He really had no idea why he was ranting about the last part. If it was Danny like he thought the boy would hardly say anything to him, if he even spoke at all. Course maybe it was Jeremiah just being safe in the off-chance it was someone else he was hearing.
Evie was starving, her robins egg blue wings were feeling quite heavy and the poor girl was beginning to lag. Her breath was coming out in ragged puffs against the frigid morning air. She finally reached the penthouse and entered through an open window that led to the bathroom.
Evie folded her wings and left the bathroom, taking off her backpack and dropping it on the floor. She was covered in dirt and was trying hard to not get any on the carpet. "Is there food?" Evie asked quietly, directing the question at Jeremiah who looked super bored. It seems that Danny had not yet returned and so Evie picked up her bag and went back into the bathroom to shower. Thankfully, there was hot water (why they would keep water on in an abandoned hotel, Evie wasn't so sure).
She allowed the water to drip down her back and soak into her wings, her feathers ruffling with the added weight. Evie sat down on the bottom of the tub, watching as the streaks of dirt and blood that previously clung to her body run into the drain. Evie washed herself off with the soap in her bag then turned the water off and slipped on a pair of olive green shorts and a pink shirt. Evie pulled her wet hair up into a ponytail and and walked out of the bathroom, wringing her long brown hair out in a towel. Her blue eyes sparkled with newly refreshed energy and Evie plopped down onto the couch. Jeremiah started yelling something about energy bars, which caused Evie to wonder if he was delusional and someone began stomping up the stairs.
"Is it food?" Evie wondered aloud and walked over to the door, hoping someone was there.
"Also, does anyone need clothes? If im going to get them I want to get them tomorrow so I can stay off the streets, for awhile." She continued as she started heading toward the bathroom. Her dark hair swinging between her shoulder blades. "When Danny gets in, tell him I would like us to stay inside except for emergencies. We've been here too long, im worried."
"Jeremiah, What are you talking about?" Victory asked, her soft voice filling the room as she dropped some grocery bags. It was all nonperishable for when they were running, "Is Danny back? He was supposed to get food for today."
"Yeah, that's what I'm talking about....or rather that I'm saving my snacks for when we are low on other stuff." He said while turning back onto his stomach so he could look at her, sighting and laying his head completely on the beam he was on when she told them to open munch on some power bars. "Fine." He grumbled as he simply slid off the beam, catching himself on the beam with his hands so he didn't just fall to the ground, dropping a few moments later as he moved over to his backpack, folding his wings back as he did.

Jeremiah had pulled out two of the bars he had been saving, walking over to the couch and plopping down on it. "I'm fine on clothing, and I'll let him know." He brought his feet up onto the small table in front of it, resting them there and adjusting himself so he could get comfortable despite his wings
Thinking about that upset him, but at the same time it didn't. His conditioning prevented that, but he felt like he should be upset. Just another reason why he hid what he was: a killer. The rest of his flock, to his knowledge, had never killed anyone. But he...they made Danny kill. He was afraid of what they might say if they found out.
He shook his head. You need to stop dwelling on that, Danny. It is all behind you now. He looked at the others, and smiled. "Breakfast is almost ready!" he said with all the power his voice could muster. He wasn't sure when his voice became what it was, just that the lab caused it. Maybe to stop him from screaming?
He opened up the OJ and began drinking it. Danny had this love of juice, especially orange juice. And stealing it from him was unwise. Especially since he was the one who rigged the building with power. His electro-techno kinesis came in handy for that. "Anyone want any cheese with their eggs?" He managed to spit out. He was just about done with breakfast, somehow managing all the food at once.
