((Yes, this book has some ideas from the book series "Shiver" by Maggie Stiefvater, or the book "Sharp Teeth" by Toby Barlow. I do not write or own the books. If you have read Shiver, see if you can make a character like one in the books, or not, doesn't matter to me.))

Laine Smith is found haning by a rope in her room. The senior killed herself, with a note taped to her hand. A map.

Everyone at McKinley High know of the Junior's death. So do a lot others.

Police have tracked the map to a location in Boundary Woods. Three bodies were found: One human, one wolf, and one that was both.
This is how everything begins.

The scientists have taken only three bodies- Laine's was buried with a proper funeral. They study each and try to dissect them to find an answer for why one has a partial tail, crooked/out-of-place bones, growing fur, and half-wolf ears. They don't need to solve the puzzle though. Lots already know. Hunters have been hired. Can you stay alive?

Duluth, Minnesota, holds the world's greatest population of wolves, werewolves, lycans, and dissapearing humans. For years, these shifting beings run a pack of well-bred, well-kept secrets. During the winter, that is. As the tempterature rises, the wolves become humans again. And now, they are being hunted.

SUMMER
This is the time when humans stay humans. There are no wolves in the forest, and no chance of shifting. Months: April- August

This is the time of year when humans that have been bitten shift. The Pack runs freely in Boundary Wood. Months: September- March
SHIFTING
Clothes do not shift with you. Shifting is usually painful for most, unless YOU chose to be bitten. Then it is swift and easy, because this is what you wanted. If not, and you were accidentally bitten, or chosen to be bitten, then it might be a little more painful. Your stomache feels like it is twisting inside out, your bones are like they are breaking, and your whole body is hot. You gain energy, and begin to lose your human thoughts. You will probably recognize your human friends or family, but not specifically remeber their names or how you know them. It is hard to stay focused on someone or something while shifting. Your adrenaline is like burning, hot energy- you can't stop it or stay focused. Everything around you is accelerated.
Aslo, some wolves tried to move to a warmer place, like Texas, so they'll never shift. But then even a small blast of cold air can shift you.
To change back in the winter, the best way is to be thrown into a hot, hot bathtub. This can also help stop shifting, if you think you are about to change.
SAFETY
Since the wolves are now being hunted, it is preferred that the shifters come and live at Beck's house, the pack leader. Runaway from home, if you have to. He will care for everyone here. There is food, and lots of rooms you can call your own. The house backs up to the woods, and a little ways back is a shed filled with clothes, snacks, blankets, and a heater, just in case it is not safe to come to the house or you shifted to human in the woods.
Try not to get shot.
OTHER
Basically, if you are bitten by a wolf, or human (o.o), you will begin to start changing. The pack usually watches anyone they think might begin to shift. Your first few months are painful, and the shifts can be at anytime, even in the summer, and mostly invovles a lot of puking. To identify someone when they are a wolf, it is smart to know their eye color. It is the only way to truely make sure. You as a wolf and you as a human= same eyes. Sometimes, fur= hair color, but it's not always true.
Sometimes they do it for safety, help, an escape; they say it's the best drug.
But after about 15 years of shifting, you are wolf permanently. These wolves are called Omega wolves.Then you live the lifespan of a normal wolf, and die. (About 10 years) One day, you just won't shift back. You know when your day is coming, because over the years, it becomes harder and harder to shift back to human. This is why Beck is recruiting new wolves, to keep the pack going.
SUMMARY
Beck and the older, senior pack members are soon to become Omega wolves, and so they are recruiting new pack members. Particularly a new Alpha. During this, a girl that was in the pack kills herself, and reveals the three bodies that show a human shifting into a wolf. This throws scientists off and they send out hunters to kill and bring back wolves for studies. This new danger provokes the wolves to stay safe- and stay alive.
The roleplay time setting is starting on October 1st, 2010.

"So..." I said sitting down in between the flirtatious couple, John and Violet. "You going to going to just flirt on the couch all day and all night?" I looked them both in the eye. "Or you going to get together?" I asked getting up. "We are all wondering!" I winked and walked away. Upstairs I began to write.

I giggled as Violet protested to liking John. She said "We are not flirting!" And I could not help myself. I laughed a full, whole-hearted laugh then continued writing.
"I don't believe you." I mumbled.
She'll know she likes him soon enough. He obviously likes her.
I smiled and continued to think about their wedding and their children.
She would have a heart attack if she heard me now.

I pulled in front of the pack house and parked. The heat was blaring and I was hoping it was not cold enough outside to change me. Here we go... I made it to the door but I changed. Snow... I picked up the bag with my teeth. The pain was cruel and I yelped. What now? I asked myself. I put my front paws on the door and barked. "Hello?" I yelled. I put my right paw on the flashing doorbell. "Hello?" No one is answering. I guess I'll go around back. I could hear Wake and Violet and John talking. Violet sounded a little bit angry. I barked and finally opened the door on my own. Inside I ran up the stairs. Still wolf... Still wolf? Why am I still wolf? When I got to my room painted bright orange with a computer and an old wooden desk, no bed, but a closet that was full. Home. I sat in the closet near the vent blowing hot air. The pain returned and I was human again. I unpacked the bag with the things I would need for living here perminantly.(<How do you even spell this sillie word?) Putting on a black pair of Sofie's with a white button-down shirt, I gathered CD's from round the room and put them into a purple CD case. I'm bored, and my room is clean. What do I do now? So I went downstairs to see if the TV was free or if someone was free. Talking or watching TV would pass the time. When I got there the TV was not free and neither was anyone. So I went into the kitchen to make some coffee. I liked the sound, the taste, and the smell especially. I waited on the counter after fixing it and leaned up against the wall with my eyes closed, listening to outside sounds and the coffee maker, my mind reeled and an awake dream-phase began to seep into my reality.

John laughed as he reached the top of the steps. He then walked into his room. turned on his cd player then picked up a few throwing knives and started throwing them at a dart board on his wall. The song "Riders of the Storm" By the doors was playing.

Violet scowled to herslef at Wake's comment and sat back on the couch while John went upstairs to do who-knows-what. There were no good T.V. shows on, so she wandered up to her room and got out her drawing kit. She got out the charcoal, enjoying the coolness and the soft black marks it left on her fingertips. Hmm, what should I draw? she shrugged to herself. Me? So she started a self portrait to paass the time.

She heard the barking at the door a little too late, and Annie, as a wolf, darted through the house to upstairs. After a moment passed, including Wake joking with the intimate pair of John and Violet, Annie returned downstairs and put on a cup of coffee. Sounds good, she thought.
Cassie went to get herself a cup, adding a pinch of sugar and some creamer in it.
"I think there's about to be a meeting," Cassie told Annie, stirring her coffee to a light brown. "Let me go get the others upstairs, you can go find a seat. Save me one?"
Annie nodded, and Cassie walked up the stairs, called called in Wake, Violet and John's rooms for them to come down. Cassie noticed Wake eyeing her coffee. "Yes, I'll get you some, Wake. You like it black, right? Like your men?" They laughed, remembering an old inside joke. Cassie then walked back down the stairs.

Violet made a face when they were summoned downstairs for the meeting. She had forgotten about it. Though she was annoyed, she would pay attention and be respectful because she knew this was important. She settled down in one of the leather chairs and tucked her legs about to her chest, settling her blue eyes with their violet and amber flecks on Beck, who was speaking.

I nudged Cassie when she made the joke. "It's been a while." I told her.
I remember that night well. She didn't have to announce to the entire house that I was into black men and coffee.
I smiled, sipping my coffee and laughing at Cassie and our little joke [<3] made me feel like I was home. Now we were all sitting in the living room listening to Beck talk about the Hunters.
Bastards.
Even if they knew it was us and understood they would still kill us to experiment on us or something.
Assholes.
I herd the door open and turned my attention to Scarlet walking through, a human.
"So sorry..." She said almost inaudible. "I'm staying." She said louder.
No eye contact?

I walked into the pack house while Beck was just beginning a speech. "So sorry..." I managed to squeak. Holding up the bright yellow bag I said "I'm staying." Avoiding eye contact I set down my bag, with a thud. While I walked to the pack house door I never once thought about changing.
I didn't change out in the snow.
My jaw dropped, and my wrists throbbed. Making sure no one could see the marks, bloody and fresh, I took a seat on the floor beside the sofa. I closed my mouth and tried to focus. My eyes were watching Beck, but my mind was focused on the coffee scent, and the cups in Wake, Annie, and Cassie's hands'.
I'll get some.
I told myself trying hard to give Beck, my host, all attention.
Yum.

When it was off he could hear the voice of Beck talking to everyone. He walked out of his room and then went towards the stairs. He went half way down the stairs and stretched. he decided to lean over the railing and listen to Beck.

She fixed Wake a cup of coffee, then returned to the main room where everyone was settled. Cassie handed Wake her straight black coffee ((haha!)), and sat down. She noticed as the new wolf, Scarlet, walked in with a bright yellow bag ((are you mocking my bag?! :P)) of clothes and announced her decision to permanently ((<-that's for you, firerunsthroughme)) live in the pack house. Cassie patted the open space on the couch next to her, inviting Scarlet to move up from the floor.

"Now, the hunters have explored and patrolled most of Boundary forest close to McKinley High. Bordering the length of that side of the woods is a major road, River Street. I want you all to steer clear of that section of Duluth for now. Stay closer to downtown, where the Juice Shop and the Crooked Shelf are. So yes, the younger of you have no school."
Beck paused for a moment, then started back up. "I want everyone to travel with at least one other pack member, no matter what. I don't want any risks being taken."
The Alpha took a breath, then said, "I hope you all remember Laine Smith, and her sister Alana. Janet Carthy and Vance Apple were killed too. Our pack lost four members in one night. We could loose a lot more this winter. Laine was a good girl. But now she's made a lot of complications for us, too."
For a minute, there was dead silence. Whether it was for those four lost that night, or lack of words for anyone to say, it seemed as thugh every member was holding their breath, waiting.

((Ooc sorry about putting this in randomly... I could tell that you guys were doing something... but I couldn't think of any other way of entering))
- Blood -
As I stood on top of a large rock looking out over the vast lake a sense of calm rushed over me. It had been a long time since I had felt calm... Not since that night six months previously were my pack had all been slaughtered while I slept. I took a deep breath and looked around, in the distance I could see buildings popping up behind the trees of the forest. I was close, I hadn't been here since I was nine...
As I walked to the waters edge I heard a sound not to far away from where I was. It sounded like a hunters riffle, I bared my teeth and growled. I started to run in the direction of the gun shot, I hated when HUMANS killed innocent animals. My giant paws crushed the ground on which I ran leaving markings......... Branches were ripped off their trees and soon enough I could smell blood. My nostrils flared and I howled... I had a feeling that more blood would be spilled very soon.

The wind rushed around my gigantic body as I pushed myself forward, jumping from rock to rock, from tree to tree until I heard another gun shot. I was close and I could here shouting in the distance... *This way... * *Over here*... I snarled baring teeth and lunged forward again. Directly infront of me was a man, he was wearing hunting clothing, camouflaged against the dark brown of the trees and the bright green of the moss and leaves. In his hand was a 20 inch double barrel shotgun.
I jumped into the air with a loud growl peacing the ears of the human and startling it, my teeth and jaws closed around his neck and with one fowl swing I snapped the head clear off the body. The body flew five meter and hit a tree by another human, who started to scream and back away slowly. I let out another ground splitting howl... the human wet its pants. I focused my eyes in on it growling when more started to turn up.

After beck said these words john slowly went down the rest of the steps and quietly sat down next to Violet. He nudged her in the arm and whispered, "Wanna be my traveling buddy for a while?"

Humans were surrounding me now. Eight or Nine of them all holding the same double barreled shot guns as the human that I had just killed. The guns were pointed towards me. The human that had peed his pants was still screaming and I was breathing hard... my heart was pounding in my chest. I had been in messes like this before, and I had always gotten away without a scratch but I had a feeling that this time was going to end badly.
I bared my teeth, razer sharp with blood still on them from my last kill. I started to growl my thick black fur starting to stand on end. The humans were shouting again one of them was saying to shoot.... BANG!!!!! I jumped forward sinking my teeth into another fleshy meet bag... I kept running dodging bullets jumping from tree to rock to tree. I landed on a human crushing him. More Bangs bullets flying everywhere I was at the edge of the forest now. Then suddenly a piercing pain shot through my body. I collapsed. Blood spilling out all over the place, my body started to spasm and shake... I was phasing... why now not now... I start to howl in pain.
I willed my human form to stand and run but there was no feeling left in my body... blood flowed from the three bullet wounds in my chest... was this really it. I collapsed again on the foot step of a large house. my eyes started to close, my breathing shortened. I let out one more scream of pain and then blacked out.

I began to help him without moving him, for fear that I would make it worse.

There were three holes in his chest.
Shit.
How much of a chance does he have to live? How long has he been here?
"We have to get him inside before the hunters come looking for the evidence."
How are we going to get him in? The blood was soaking into the rag and I pulled the boy's head onto my lap.
"Can you hear me, boy?" I asked him. Blood was all over my shirt and pants, but I didn't care. Beck was suddenly there, now I could relax.

Time- 12:00pm, noon.
Weather- 37 degrees. snow is melting, sun shining, partly cloudy.
Ulrik was shot in town and died, and the rest of the pack went home, except for John and Violet who are at John's house, laying low. Scarlet had also died for mostly unknown reasons, but there was a lot of blood. Wake disposed of the body and returned. Blood is missing, and assumed dead. Beck and Paul have decided for a funeral in the woods as usual, but holding vigil inside.
Cassie's sick and is in her room, as downstairs the pack mingles by the fire, Karen fixing food for anyone hungry for lunch, or hurt as well.
Time- 12:00pm, noon.

Well, the weird thing is that when you abandoned it, the character did not show up in the Orphanage on the Character page. I'm not exactly a pro at being a game master, as this is my first, so you might have to re-make the character, I'm not sure.

sorry i haven't posted. i was on thanksgiving break and i didn't really do anything. im dropping out of the rp. Someone feel free to play my character if they like. Hey Mightmare Train... Thanks for your pm. Yeah I couldn't reply to it so I thought I would reply here. I did have an Idea on how to make Blood meet the group. Was going to have him get shot and then run away from the hunters. once in the town have him change into Alex and stumble around town naked and then collapse on the steps of your pack house :p... is that okay? thought it would add a bit of drama to the whole thing...
