Holli's Story

Lodan got in his car and waited for his parents. He didn't even understand why he was being married off. He was legally an adult and wanted the respect. Yeah he could object but they he would lose his house. They were already talking to realtors so they could buy the "new couple" their dream home. His dream home was hanging out with his friends and throwing around a football and tackling each other. He wouldn't get that with a small girl. Then he sighed and thought of how she was probably going through hell as well. Once his parents were in the car he drove to the park. THey got out and walked over to a garden with a little opened house in the middle. He couldn't figure out was it was called. His parents sat down but he stayed standing. 'Whats her name again?" He asked his father for the tenth time. "Holli. Relax son we know what she looks like. We will tell you when we see her." Lodan sighed and jumped up on the side railing.

Lodan perked up when he heard the name Holli coming from a woman close to them. He walked over to where they were and cleared his throat. "Sorry to interrupt but does this symbol mean anything to you?" He held up his symbol and wast sure wether to hope it was her ar pray she would ditch out. He had a bit of mixed feelings and didn't want to look at them but he knew if this was his future wife then he needed to make a great impression. He studied her without moving his eyes. His braid took in every detail his focused eyes could see. He thought she was fairly small but very pretty. He could tell she was angry though and that made him consider running away.

Lodan smiled over at the woman and the man. "Unfortanitly I dont have a hat so I am going to have to stick with this." He pretended to take his hat off and slightly bow and the ladies before 'returning' it to his head. Then he stood up strait and looked at the man. Knowing if he didnt impress this man he would be in hell for the rest of his marrige. "I am Lodan Maryain. I come from a long line of big businessman but do not wish to pursue this career choice but instead I am on my way to becoming a professional football player. Local of course." He looked over at Holli quickly to see her expression. Then he fully turned to her. "My, uh, parents have arranged for us to look at houses. They would have done it but they wanted you to have your dream home." He scratched the back of his head as his parents came over smiling.

Scarny looked up at the guy handing her the paper. She looked at it then looked at her own. She gulped then nodded. "I-I think so." She gave his back and held hers out too not looking up in fear he would see that she was crying. Afraid of what might happen to her. "You can check I might be wrong." She though about his comment while she waited. His mom would be mad if he didn't check to see if he was her match. She wondered why. She dismissed it and tried to hide that she was trying to get rid of the tears. When she thought they were gone she looked back up at him.

Lodan smiled at her and tried to ignore that her father was very unhappy. He chuckled lightly to himself when he thought that the mom was probably in charge in that house. He held out his arm for her told take a hold of. "Shall we go looking then?" He asked her motioning to his car waiting just a few feat away. "Or would you rather ride with your parents?" He asked looking at her mom and not her dad.

Lodan walked to the car and opened the door for her. When she got in he walked over to the other side and pulled out following his parents in the car they had left at the park yesterday. He started driving and didn't say anything till they reached the highway. "Your not to happy about this." He noted not really saying it as a question but as a statement seeing how she acted before he had gotten there. He glanced over at her real quick then quickly looked back at the road.

He smiled but wasn't sure if he should hide it or show it. He decided she should see his true colors and just let his smile show. He didn't know what to say to her until she asked about sports. "I never used to like them because my dad forced me into them. I always rebelled and played bad. Then he told him he was done and that made me want to see my true potential. I tried out for every sport and I found I am best in football and baseball. My dad hates football though so that made me love it even more. Now I love it completely." He stopped and didn't say anything else. He realized that she might find this disrespectful of him and become angry with him.

Lodan pulled the car into a drive way after his parents. A lady cam out holding a clipboard and a bunch of papers. He got out then went around and opened the door for Holli. "My parents didn't know if you wanted a country home or city home so they chose a few in both and figured if you didn't like them they could look at the other ones." He held his arm out for her again. He didn't realize it but this is something his mother taught him to do when he was young. He figured he would never remember because he would be taken away by his father and the sports.

Smiling Lodan led ehr up to the house and shook the ladys hand. He smiled and didn't pay much attention to what she said as they were led through the house. His parents made sue every house they were looking at had what he wanted. A big back yard so he could play football with the guys or throw the ball with his son or play fetch with his dog. So he was zoning out as they went through the house until them came back to the front door. "It is a very big house. That is for sure." He said with a smile. "What do you think though? Do you want it or do you want to look at a house in the city? The yard isnt as big there. Here you have 80 acres. There you will get maybe the square of the house." She told them really trying to sell this house. Lodan figured it was the one that she got the most profit from the faster she sold it.

Lodan looked shocked thens smiled. "It is all you, as long as I have a big yard I am good. We can look at others if you want." He told her. If they had actually been in a relationship before this he would have kissed ehr head. Now he wasn't sure what to do. He was getting the instinct to but didn't want to upset her. "Whatever you want. You can have it. All yours." He smiled at her.

Lodan smiled and looked at the relater. "I guess we will take the house. Uh my parents will want to talk to you about finances." He hated that he had to say that. He felt like a kid again. His parents letting him look at which lolly pop he wanted and when he chose he told the lady and his parents paid for him. She clenched his teeth and pretended it didn't bother him. His smile turned towards Holle. "Shall we go in and decide where everything is going to go? Or would you rather start wedding plans?"

"Well we can get your stuff packed and over here then work on the wedding for a while." He told her then quickly added his after thought. "My parents made me pack my stuff and put it in the tuck already. I barely found this to wear this morning." He looked down at his jeans and simple shirt. "Or we can do all the unpacking first and start on wedding stuff after." He turned towards her now they were standing alone on the porch now.

Lodan laughed and nodded. "Alright I guess I can try." He said heading back to the car. He opened her door for her and smiled at her. "I hope you are ready for my ideas. I have big plans." He smiled slightly showing some of his teeth. "When I was a kid I loved the circus and I saw this really cool clown wedding and I thought it could give us some ideas." He told her and made it sound like he won the lottery. "I even still have it on video!" He sounded even more excited.
