This burg is the nearest to Harmonia. Good thing, too, since this means local hero Mario is close enough to the castle in case of an emergency. A few shops exist here, selling various unusual items that can help in self-defense. There's also a train station for transport across the Dream Valley region.

Kinoko City is a part of

There is a green plumber who is relaxing behind a shady tree. His name is Luigi, the self-proclaimed king of second bananas. He thinks about his brother who apparently has been doing a great job rescuing the princess from the clutches of Bowser. But to Luigi, he is quite jealous of his older brother. Maybe he might like to go on his own adventures with the exception of ghosts coming at him.
No one is behind Luigi. Just a tree.

Well, technically, a whole lot of people can, but let's just use me as an example for simplicity's sake, hmm?"

"Cheated?" said Thurston. "Hardly. The challenge was a race to the talking tree. It was never specified what method of transportation was to be used. Teleportation is fair game, and besides, it's faster than you, so I still win. And besides, do I LOOK like a real jogger to you?"

Thurston falls back so that he's balancing on his tail, springing lightly up and down a few times before vaulting into the air and sailing over Tree Mastermind and Luigi. He waves to them both before landing on the other side.
