§ . m o n i k e r ( s ) . Ash
§ . g e n d e r . cismale
§ . a g e . 19
§ . s e x u a lx o r i e n t a t i o n . heterosexual
§ . g o d l yx p a r e n t . hermes
§ . r e l a t i o n s h i p . Despite his father's best intentions, Ash has a severely warped image of him in his head. To him, Hermes has unnecessarily ruined his life, and he doesn't understand. The boy just wants to live easy, but that's not the case with the spawn of Hermes. To say their relationship is strained in an understatement. Ash hates him, and if he could--well, let's leave the rest to the imagination.

§ . e y e s . hazel; from soft browns to gentle greens to greys.
§ . h a i r . chestnut; short, unruly
§ . h e i g h t . 6'2"
§ . w e i g h t . 180 lbs
§ . p h y s i q u e . slender, leanly muscled, athletic
§ . s k i n . warm beige, scattered freckles
§ . s c a r s . far too many to count
§ . d e s c r i p t i o n . He's one handsome boy, but it's too bad he has a nasty personality. His body is fashioned for speed, nimbleness, and innate reflexes, so he is tall and thin with lean musculature. He's definitely no Ares son, and he probably doesn't look like he's ever lifted a weight in his life, but the blessings of being a Demigod means that he has a good physique. His hair is a dark, dark chestnut that he likes to leave in a messy state as if he just rolled out of bed. He has a very wide and deeply dimpled smile, and with how great he is at faking it, the gesture reaches his eyes and it's frustratingly charming. He has that bad boy charm, and he's not afraid to use it to his advantage. He has a beauty mark on his face near the corner of his left eye, as if he isn't a god's gift to women enough (his opinion).
His style is relatively casual and lazy--jeans, t-shirts, some kind of tennis-shoe. He's not really into the latest fashion, but he does seem to have a thing for shiny nicknacks--earrings, piercings, watches. He has it all. Asher has his tongue and both ears (several times) pierced, and--hmm. If you're that lucky (or unfortunate) gal, then maybe you can figure out the rest. There's not a whole lot more to say about his sense of style if you can even say he has one. His looks are average, even though he thinks he's super hot stuff.

§ . d e m e a n o r . mischeivious, strangely charming, trouble-maker
§ . f e a r s . commitment of any kind, slow days (slow anything, really), being confined to any space
§ . v i c e ( s) . pretty much all of them
§ . d i s l i k e s . slow-walkers (to the point of wishing them death), walls, small spaces, being stuck in a vehicle
§ . l i k e s . speed (speed and speed), things that don't belong to him, getting into fights
§ . f l a w s . liar, doesn't make friends, ANTI-social (not asocial),
§ . s t r e n g t h s . girls find this bad boy charming (yuck), influencer, persuasive
§ . i n t e l l i g e n c e . Eh, school. Dropped out of school in the tenth grade. BORING. Excellent street smarts, however.
§ . p e r s o n a l i t y . Oh, yes--this is one bad, bad boy. He is always up to no good, but his handsome face and charming smile make him the perfect devil in disguise. Women love him. They think they can change him. They always believe him even when that little sixth sense that tells a woman things are wrong is yelling at them. He uses this to his advantage, of course, with his own flirtations and cute words that he can do so well. He likes it. It's almost some kind of power thing for him. Men, on the other hand, aren't always up to his speed. They either hang out with him or they want to kill him. There's no real in between there because he can make their lives hellish. For the black sheep, he is an excellent leader to flock to. For the rest; the ones that know better, they have probably been the victim of one of his many kleptomaniac tendencies or his love of pranks.
Asher loves making lives hell, and that's likely because he's misconstrued the "lessons" that his father imparted on him. He likes the girls, he likes to torment the boys, and he doesn't give a fuck about anything. It's easy for him to get away with things, so he does what he wants. He already has a small criminal record, and if it weren't for being dragged to this new school, he'd probably be in jail. Especially after finding out that his father has been the source of all of his problems.

§ . t e a m . rebellion | special
§ . s t r e n g t h s . slight-of-hand, speed, trap-sensing, multiple languages (knowing and understanding), star navigation, astronomy, inate reflexes
§ . w e a k n e s s . physical strength is somewhat lacking, some powers are extremely draining, speed for too long is tiring, horrible father-son relationship
§ . p h y s i c a lx c o n d i t i o n i n g . While his physical strength may leave much to be desired, the children of Hermes are the most nimble and speediest of all the demi-gods.
§ . s p e e d . Hermes Children are the fastest of the demi-gods. Their speed is superhuman.
§ . l o c k p i c k i n g . As Hermes is the god of thieves, his children are blessed with the ability to both pick any lock and open any lock with their mind. Asher has certainly been able to pick locks like a pro, but opening them with his mind? Eh, that still needs a little bit more work.
§ . s l i g h t - o f - h a n d . He can steal anything from anyone's pockets without them knowing. In fact, he can steal anything he wants, and no one would see him doing it. Though, they might suspect him. They just don't have my proof.
§ . p e r s u a s i o n . He can lie and convince so well that he can get people to do things for or believe him.
§ . t r a p s . He can sense physical traps.
§ Asher has been a little bit lazy with his "gifts". He's certainly made good use of his speed, lockpicking, trap sense, and thievery abilities, but he never really cared about anything else. So what if he's good at navigating the stars and astronomy? They don't help him. In fact, a lot of things like the ability to teleport and making potions have escaped his grasp, despite them being very useful in life to anyone lucky enough to have them. He also can't manipulate luck - at least, he doesn't know that he can or cannot. He's eager to learn what more he can do, but he is a bit distracted by all the girls.

You know what they say about kids that grow up in small towns that are poor. It doesn't matter what color you are, there's just nothing to do. Nothing to do but let the streets raise you and enjoy your limited supervision. When Asher was about ten years old, he had this "friend" that he used to hang out with. His name was Johnny, and they liked to call him Johnny Boy because... why not? He was a bit older by two years, but that's not atypical. Taking on the role of big brother, he was introduced to shoplifting. Asher was hungry. His mom made enough to pay for the "house" and get by with basic things like electricity and water, but food was harder to come by. Johnny also showed him how tp pick-pocket off of people, especially older ones. While Asher was a little bit apprehensive at first, he was desperate. He didn't grow up with the internet or with extras like game consoles, computers, tablets, phones--so there was truly nothing else to do. He was tired of being hungry all of the time, and desperate people do desperate things.
When he was eleven, he ended up in jail for a night for breaking and entering. At eleven. You see, Johnny said that he would teach him how to pick locks. He told him that he could do it easily, but Asher still wasn't great at it. Johnny let him get caught, even though he had the power to convince the police otherwise. You guess it; Johnny was Hermes in disguise, and this would be the first of many guises that the god wore to train his son. Once he appeared to Asher as a rottweiler dog and chased him through the woods when he was 12. Asher always knew that he was faster than other boys, but he never realized that he could outrun a dog. He has disguised himself as a police officer, a girl that he had a crush on but would never like him back, high school bullies, a gym coach, and more. His life was not interesting or fulfilled, but it was... definitely always moving. Hermes was always teaching him something, even though it was extremely tough love.
He joined the track team in high school but got kicked off because of horrible grades. By the time he was 16, he just dropped out. His teachers hated him, and most of the students were told by their parents to stay away from the trash. He had been into drugs, weed, smoking cigarettes, having sex, drinking alcohol, partying, stealing what he needed and wanted, and playing cons with people that didn't seem to know better. He learned that he could get people to do what he wanted whenever he wanted them to. He liked the power.
He did learn from all of this, though. However, it was not the lesson that his father may have had hoped for. He knows that the world is his, he has power over people and how they see him. He can get what he wants and needs, and he doesn't even have to try hard. His lies are his weapons and his tricks are his displays of power and control over people. To rise from the nadir of poverty, one must have power over others. No apologies.
