Tall and thin, Johanna naturally has the body that many girls might long for, possibly made more frustrating by the fact that she has to do very little to maintain it. She has dirty blonde hair, kind and warm brown eyes, and an innocent face. Her curiosity for the world is very apparent in the fact that her eyes almost never stop moving as she's always looking for new sights and wonders to see and discover. She also has long, dexterous fingers, slightly callused, but also delicate and well cared for, the fingers of a craftsman.

Flaw:Jo tends to very, shall we say, floaty. She's kind of like a leaf in the wind, blowing wherever the winds of life might push her and enjoying what she can along the way. She just doesn't worry a lot, and that has a tendency of annoying others. She can also be very blunt.

Johanna is a very bright, positive, and optimistic person. She's always looking for the silverlining and the good in things. She believes that humans are naturally good people and she will try to find that good in everyone. Johanna isn't particularly prone to flights of fancy and doesn't bubble over with excitement and adventure like some people. She's more like a bright ray of sunshine, constant and steady with a tendency of lighting things up. She'll go out of her way to comfort those who are sad even if she doesn't know. She's just an all around good person who sincerely cares for everyone and wants the best for them too.
Johanna is also a very intelligent young witch with an amazing ability to memorize. She loves to watch, learn, and observe, interested in both Magical and Non-Magical studies. When she's not out exploring, working, or experimenting she's usually reading.

Johanna comes from a long line of wand makers on her father's side, arguably the best in all of Scandinavia. Johanna however doesn't know much about her mother's side of the family as she died when Johanna was two and her grief stricken father cut off all contact with his former in-laws. Devastated, he threw himself at his work, he had chosen not to carry on the families traditional line of work and instead worked for the Swedish Ministry of Magic, leaving his parents to raise his only child. Despite not knowing her mother and having a father who was practically uninvolved in her life, Johanna had a good life. Her grandparents loved the little girl, especially her grandfather Adolf Gustav, who saw in her the talent that had kept their family in bussiness for so many generations. He quickly started teaching her the art of wandmaking, and Johanna thrived in a home where she was loved, appreciated, praised, and adored. Johanna grew up in a house where magic was used constantly. She'd spend hours in the workshop with Grandfather Adolf, watching his every move and learning. By the age of ten she had been given her first wand, the last one made her great-grandfather Christian Lagerspetz, and after her first year at Durmstrang started assisting her grandfather in the family craft. Hans would often give Johanna scrap peices of wand would to practice with which Johanna would use to craft what she affectionately called mini-wands, small enough that they had little practical use, but granting her much needed practice in the profession she planned on going into when she was done with school. Johanna started Dumrstrang at the traditional age of 11, quickly making friends and proving to be a fairly skilled young witch. Despite the schools traditionally dark reputation the Dark Arts had already been stopped being taught by the time she started, and her positive attitude did much to help set apart the schools newest generation of students from some of its more notorious alumni. Now Johanna is off to Hogwarts with the rest of her classmates to participate in the Triwizard Tournament.

It was fall at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Early October, the 16th to be exact. Leaves had already turned to briliant shades of red, yellow and orange, even providing for the Whomping Willow something that resembled beauty. Hagrid's garden was filled with the orange and green of his traditional giant pumpkins. On the steps of the school the students were assembled, watching and waiting for the arrival of their guests and mostly oblivious to the light rain that was falling. You see this year Hogwarts was once again hosting the Tri-Wizard Tournament. The eyes of the students eagerly cast of the uneasy waters of the Black Lake watching for the first sign of the ship from Durmstrang, while others intently watched the gray, cloudy skie for the first sign of the giant flying carriage favored by Beauxbatons.

The Durmstrang ship was the first to arrive, appearing in a magical whirlpool before smoothly sailing up the the lake shore and disembarking it's students. Johanna Lagerspetz, dressed in her school uniform of fur cloak, hat, and blood-red robes, walked up to the steps of the English school. She thought she might have heard some applause, cheering, or something of that nature, but she was too busy looking at the sky to tell. She couldn't help but let out a mournful sigh. It was completely clouded over and raining, with no signs of a break anywhere which meant no stargazing tonight. Turning her attention back to what was going on in front of her she passed the assembled Hogwarts students, who she smiled at brightly, and into the Entrance Hall. There was a fair amount of milling about by the Durmstrang students as they waited for the arrival of their French counterparts. Johanna found a nice little corner to stand in while they waited for the students from the other schools to enter and the Hogwarts students to lead them into the Great Hall.

Johanna looked around the interior of the school, smiling brightly. It was certainly a lot bigger than her school, and a lot more friendly looking. Durmstrang tended to be a very cold place, and not just temperature wise. Several students, that she decided were Hogwarts students since they weren't part of the Durmstrang delegation, could be seen coming and going through the entry hall, many going into the all adjacent which seemed to be a dining hall of some sort. She thought there was supposed to be some sort of welcoming feast in there and wondered about going in, but decided against it. This was a different school with different with different customs, so it would probably be best if she waited for instructions for what to do. Spying Renae Leap, a girl from Johanna's school who she considered to be a friend, Johanna decided to go join her.

"So, what do you think?" Johanna asked, smiling down at the shorter girl before turning her gaze back to their surroundings. "It certainly seems a lot nicer than our school. I wonder if they've got a better library than ours?"

Reap continued to watched all the mingling people before her attention was taken by Johanna. A small smile crossed her face as she gazed at her friend before moving her eyes back to a group of Hogwarts students. "I really like it to be honest." She started with a small chuckle. "Its warmer here, and not just the temperature. Everyone seems really nice." She stated then heard the library bit from Johanna. She gave a small nod and giggle, which was very soft so it didn't catch anyone elses attention, hopefully. "Well considering the school its self if larger, I would hope their library is larger. Then again, you know as well as I do that almost every library is bigger then ours." She gave another small giggle before adding "Except possibly our dark arts section."

Durmstrang was smaller then Hogwarts, which everyone knew, but they did have an impressive amount of knowledge on the dark arts and such. From Reaps understanding, her whole school was similar to one single house from Hogwarts. That was the Slytherin house. They seemed to be the ones who excelled in the dark arts, more then any other class. Then again, this was all hear-say to Reap, but time would tell.

Reap moved her eyes back onto Johanna for a moment. "So any news on where we are actually supposed to be?" She asked, since she hadn't been given any information. The last thing she was told was 'where are here'. From there, Reap had rushed off of the boat without another thought.
