Solia Haven

"You want to fight? Bring it on."

a character in “Hero: Awakening”, originally authored by WindOnFire, as played by RolePlayGateway

Description

Character Sheets:

Name: Solia Haven

Age: 22

Description:
Image
Solia has deep red, almost burgundy, hair, which falls just past her shoulder blades. She has a habit of tossing her hair over one shoulder, so it doesn’t get in the way as much. Her eyes are a dark green, appearing black unless in direct sunlight. Solia’s skin, though pale, has a warm glow to it, though unfortunately it burns easily. She is just under six feet tall, and approximately 140 lbs, with toned muscles and a slim shape.

Nicknames: Sol

Power: Sol possesses the traits of a feline, such as superb balance, hearing, vision, and even smell. She can see in the near-dark, when other humans would be blind, and hear sounds outside the normal human range. Her skin is particularly sensitive, allowing her to feel air currents to an amazing degree of specificity, though she doesn’t seem to find it useful thus far. She also has very sharp retractable nails, can perform extraordinary jumps, and survive falling from 7 stories without injury, though she doesn’t know that yet.

History: Independent by nature, Solia has few close friends and knows more about them than they know about her. She was always more of a listener than a talker, an observer more than a participant. She grew up in a normal enough home; father, mother, younger siblings; but left when she turned eighteen, headed to college to study art against her parent’s wishes. Paying with only scholarships and what she could earn bartending and waitressing, Solia had to take some time off to earn some money. She’s completed two years so far, and is hoping to go back next year, after two years of working.

Likes: A hot cup of coffee in the morning, laying in the sun, taking long baths, dresses, and orchestral music.

Hates: Dogs. Don’t laugh, she seriously hates them. And they don’t seem to like her either. She’s got a nasty scar on her right leg from one that bit her. She also hates rain, though swimming doesn’t bother her, and broccoli.

Fears: She’s afraid of being underground, though she isn’t claustrophobic; thunderstorms and tornadoes, as well as a ridiculous fear of skunks.

Equipment/Supplies/Items: Sol, like many people, always carries her phone and her wallet. She also often has her sketchbook, a sewing kit, and a water bottle with her.

Other: Her canine teeth are slightly elongated, though if this is because of her powers or just natural is unknown. This is the only physical cat-like trait she has.

So begins...

Solia sat at an outdoor table at a little coffee shop, a nondescript little place with flower boxes and black metal tables, with cookies and baked goods littering the countertop inside. It was a place you might never bother stopping in, but they had the best expresso in town, and Solia couldn’t bring herself to go anywhere else, even though the shop was on the opposite side of town from her little apartment. She’d been sitting here for a while now, first watching the eclipse- it sent shivers down her spine- then just people-watching. Lingering for a little longer, she heard a loud bang, followed by several more.
Were those…gunshots? She shook the thought off, slipping a few bills under her coffee mug- payment, and a good tip- leaving with a nod to the worker inside. Standing, she headed down the street, toward the noises- why wasn’t anyone else concerned? As she neared a subway entrance, things started to go crazy. A helicopter flew overhead, shining a spotlight on a group of…are those kids? What are the pilots thinking? Giant vans and sleek black cars surrounded the area, the acronym T.A.N.C. blazed across most of the vehicles. I’ve never heard about a group called T.A.N.C. Wonder who they are. A niggling sense of unease flickered through Sol’s head as she stepped back, watching the proceedings.

One of the kids started to shout, yelling, “SHOT AT, NEARLY ELECTROCUTED, AND A VARIETY OF OTHER UNPLEASENT THINGS....." Someone shot at them? Good God, what were the authorities thinking? Angry, she started to step forward to do something, though what, she wasn’t sure, when the weather decided Oh, what the hell, everything else is going insane, why shouldn’t I? A freaking tornado sprang up out of nowhere, swirling all sorts of crap all over the place. Sol dodged a lamppost with a yell, before diving for shelter under a park bench, which, of course, promptly was uprooted, taking flight. She clung to the ground, hair whipping all over the place, eyes tightly shut, until the air slowed, weather- or whatever it was that caused so much damage- calming. Pushing herself up, sitting on her knees, she stared around her with wide eyes. The sounds she heard were oddly warped- she clearly hear a car door slam on the next street over, the boy who had been yelling hit the ground with a thump- but she couldn’t hear the mailbox that slammed to the ground next to her. Shaking her head, she touched her ears- they felt normal- and finally felt them pop back into normalcy. Stunned, she remained where she was for a second, before figuring she should check on the kid, getting up to walk slowly towards him.

As Sol moved down the street, the kids got up, and grabbing the fallen one, ran off. In no mood to chase them, she stopped, staring after them, hands on her hips as she thought. Best not to get involved with the authorities if I don’t have to, she thought, and began to walk purposefully down the street, though it was all a façade. Oblivious to the drama playing out behind her, she took a few random turns, thinking about what she had just seen and what it all meant. Hearing some birds squawking, she looked up, only to find them sitting high atop a building, far enough away she shouldn’t have been able to hear them.

Either those are some really loud birds, or something weird’s going on with my hearing, Solia thought, remembering the distorted sounds from earlier. Now, however, she could hear perfectly well, albeit far better than usual. With a mental shrug, Sol discarded the thought and proceeded down the street, getting a bit further before noticing someone…rather odd, to say the least. Walking with a limp and stumbling a bit, the man was staying to the edges of the street, looking back and forth as though lost or searching for something. The desire to help warring with a sense of unease- come on, an axe murderer could hardly accost you in the middle of the day, right?- she slowly approached, pausing for only a second before stepping into his sight. “Are you okay? Can I help you with anything?”

“Are you okay? Can I help you with anything?” Adrian's attention was removed from his search as he stood staring at the woman before him, fear and paranoia flaring in his eyes. "I... lost my... daughter. Have you seen her?" His hands trembled, his gun shaking in his hand as he stared at the woman. A few moments passed as he started to walk again, moving past the woman before him at a slow pace. "I... I really need to keep looking..." One step, a grunt of pain escaped his lungs as he held at his side. He kept moving, clutching at his side as he tried to move. He felt himself burn and ache as he walked, his very bones rebelling against movement. Soon his body stopped, the pain too much as he leaned against a parked car and slumped over. Can't even think with this pain, if I could just rest. Get some painkillers.
-----------------------------
Claire awoke inside the abandoned room seeing nothing around her. The room was dark, lifeless, and desolate. With renewed energy she began to make for the hall when voices from the other side alarmed her. "Two men cover this side, make sure no one leaves." Moments later a crash was heard, a door broken several rooms away before the sound of a scream cut short reached her. The sound of boots stomping on wood floor is all that is heard afterwards. No words, no shots, no breathing. Claire retreated into the abandoned room, finding two doors to her right as she hid behind the couch that moments ago served as her resting spot. She moved silently, opening a door into a small bedroom. Inside she found a man sleeping, eyes closed as he lay facing the ceiling. A whisper was the only sound she made as she walked past into the bathroom. "Sorry mister, I'll leave soon." With the door behind her locker, she hid in this small room and waited.

"I... lost my... daughter. Have you seen her?" Solia’s gaze slid down towards his shaking hands, and the sight of a gun froze her in place. They both stood unmoving for a moment, before he started walking again, though he was obviously in pain. "I... I really need to keep looking..." He only took a few steps before falling against a car, and against all common sense, Solia sighed and approached, propping her hands on her hips. “Okay, look. You can’t help your daughter if you can’t even move. So let me help you to a bench or something, and just rest for a minute.” She dug through her bag, wondering if she had any aspirin. “I don’t have any meds, but I’ve got some bandaids…probably not much help, huh? There’s a Walgreens just down the street, I’ll go get some aspirin and maybe some bandages, Neosporin…sound good to you?” She stepped close enough to help him stand up, and said, in a softer voice, “And put the gun away, or someone’s going to call the cops on you.”

Adrian stood as the woman helped him up, a slight groan escaped as he got back on his feet. "Alright. I'll go... sit down. All I need is something to dull the pain." Adrian glanced over at a bus stop bench and looked back at this stranger helping him. "Thanks for the help." He tried his best to smile, walking towards the bench and finally sitting himself down to rest. He slung his bag off his shoulder onto the empty space beside him as he nodded up to the woman. "I'll be fine here." Resting on the bench, he holstered his gun and started to dig through his bag. Papers rustled around as he dug out a photograph, staring at a photo of himself and Claire in front of a Ferris wheel in Staten Island. He held the photo in his hands for a few moments before placing it in his coat pocket and looking around from the bench. Digging through his breast pocket he pulled out a pack of cigarettes, taking one roll out and placing it in his mouth. Two clicks and a flame lights before him as he burns off the tip of the roll of tobacco. A deep intake of smoke fills his lungs before he exhales, eyes closed as smoke escapes from him. After a few moments his mind starts to calm, finally able to think as he waits.

Once he was settled on the bench, Solia headed off at a brisk walk. The stop at Walgreens only took a minute. Swiping her credit card, she watched the cashier load her purchases into a plastic bag. Maybe she had gone overboard with her purchases, but better to be overprepared than under. Hefting the bag, she hurried back to where she'd left the stranger.

Plopping down on the bench next to him, she set the plastic bag by her feet. Rummaging through it, she pulled out a bottle of Advil and a bottle of water. "Hope this works," she said, handing it to him. "I also got some food, if you're hungry- sandwiches and chips." She helped herself to a bag of potato chips, relishing their salty goodness. "Help yourself." She shoved the bag closer to him, and leaned back. "So, can I help at all? What's your daughter look like?"

Adrian looked at the stranger, looking down at the bag and back to her. "You didn't have to do all of this." He took the bottle of Advil and water, unscrewing the cap and pouring out two tablets. He tilted his head back, swallowing the two tablets before taking a chug of water as a chaser. With a sigh he looked back at the stranger, a calm look on his face as he took a few chips. "She's nine, dark hair, blue eyes. She's wearing a purple raincoat and dark blue pants... I have a photo here." He dug through his coat pocket, slowly pulling out the folded picture he had earlier. He held it close, staring into it for a moment before turning it to show this stranger. "It was taken a year ago. We went to Staten Island for her birthday." His eyes looked towards the street, still hoping Claire would turn up in the street and be perfectly fine. As he looked away his bag fell off the bench, open and some contents pouring out onto the street. "Damn it all." He looked down and started to get up, a mild pain surged as he bent down to start picking up the contents. Documents and spare clothes fell out into the street, Adrian gathering them and starting to place them back into his bag. A few papers in his hand caught his eye, one labeled "Right of Ownership Contract" especially vexing him, taking his attention for a few moments before he placed them back in his bag as he returned to his spot on the bench. "Sorry. I know I shouldn't move around too much before I feel better." A small smile formed as he zipped up his bag and placed in on his lap.
-------------------------------------
Claire sat in a small bathtub, hearing men talking again just outside in the hall but the voices muffled and undecipherable. She sat and listened; hearing footsteps coming closer and closer. Her heart raced as the footsteps grew louder and louder. She mumbled under her breath begging for her father to be here. The noises drawing closer, outside that door where they lurked. Hiding in the shadows of that abandoned room. She closed her eyes, laying in that tub pretending to not be in this dark, dark place. Then, the sound of footsteps grew quieter. Moving away from her and down the hall. She let out a small sigh, holding Jacob in her arms tight as she waited.

"It's no big deal," she said, crumpling the empty chip bag and tossing it in the trash. She missed, and stood up with a sigh to grab the bag and stick it in the garbage. Sitting back down, she studied the picture, memorizing the image. When he bent down to grab his stuff, she winced in sympathy. "So, umm...what happened, to get you two seperated and so beat up? Oh, and what's your name, if you don't mind me being so forward. I'm Solia Haven."

"So, umm...what happened, to get you two separated and so beat up? Oh, and what's your name, if you don't mind me being so forward. I'm Solia Haven." Adrian looked over at Solia, a small smile starting to form. "I'm Adrian. My daughter's name is Claire." He looked over towards the entrance to the subway station and paused before starting to speak again. "We were going to take the subway. We made it downstairs before noticing the power was out. I went on ahead to see what happened before I got attacked by... something. I couldn't tell who or what was there but I felt the air itself holding me down, my body just being crushed. I heard Claire scream and she ran upstairs, probably to find help. I tried to follow her but, as you can tell, I didn't get away without a vicious beating. I know she got out, I just don't know where she would go to find help." Adrian paused for a moment, rubbing at his temples and taking a deep breath. "Things are getting bad, and it's going to get a lot worse before it gets better. I saw chaos unfolding in the streets. I just hope she's ok." He looked over at Solia, fear in his eyes before he started to stand. "Ok... I think I'll be able to walk. Just... Just can't go running a marathon." A small chuckle escapes him, the pain dulled as he slung his bag over his shoulder and looked at Solia with a nod.

Wow...Solia stared down at her fingers, twisting the gold ring on her thumb back and forth- a nervous habit. THe story was a lot to take in, short as it was. The beating not so much, this was New York after all, but that air holding him down? Some weird gravity flux? Or...a magnetic field? Solia shook those thoughts away- she was no scientist, to understand these things.

"Ok... I think I'll be able to walk. Just... Just can't go running a marathon." She laughed along with him,and stood, picking up the plastic bag, which held the remains of her purchase at Walgreens. Smiling at him, Sol said, "Okay, Adrian, then lets get going. Any clue where she might have gone?"

Adrian stood, his bag secure over his shoulder as he thought of where to look. "I'm not sure. We left the subway station up ahead." With one hand he pointed in the direction he came from. "I don't think she would have gone too far away but considering the havoc over there I'd think she would go inside." His face grew darker as he tried to think of where to look. "I saw a few apartments on my way down here. Maybe she went inside one looking for help." Panic filled his thoughts, his mind luring him to the worst possible scenario. "We have to get looking." Adrian started to move; turning his head towards Solia for a moment, tilting his head for her to follow him. His hand moved down, unholstering his gun as he looked over it then placing it back in it's holster. "I don't know what happened up here but I'm not taking any chances." His pace quickened, returning to the stairs to the subway station and looking around. Three apartment complexes were nearby, each within a fair distance from each other. "Where should we look first? I was in the lobby of that one across the street earlier, it looked emptied out." His glance shifted towards the other two buildings, looking up to see a shadow in the window of one.
------------------------------------
"Ok Claire, you have to be brave now." With one motion, Claire climbed out of the small bathtub and started to head out the door. She passed by the man laying on the bed, still facing the ceiling and laying still. She moved silently, the sound of boots stomping in the hall no longer heard. She stared into the abandoned room and proceeded to the hall, moving carefully as she stepped outside. "You need to be quiet." Claire's heart jumped, her breathing started to quicken as she heard footsteps again. Two men came around the corner, men dressed like soldiers and holding rifles. She started to hide when one of the men turned toward her, motioning for his compatriot to stop. "Who the hell is she?" "Does it matter? We have orders. Kill or detain." Claire's eyes widened, she was frozen in place as one of the men came closer before she let out a gasp and started to run. The men pursued her, the noise of boots drawing closer to her. She ran faster, running up a flight of stairs as she saw more closed doors. She moved around corners, trying desperately to find a place to hide. She couldn't run forever, she knew she had to hide. She made a quick turn, rushing down the hall before stopping at a janitor's closet. She made her way inside, darkness swallowing her as the door shut behind her. The sound of boots stopped a bit of ways away from her, the voices muffled as she heard one person walk away. She sat in the dark, breathing heavily before she noticed something wrong. There was no familiar feeling in her hand, there was no black button eyes staring back at her as she sat alone in this dark room. Her breathing was quick, she had to stay calm. She tried to look through the darkness, tried to find where her only friend now was at. She looked inside this small closet, unable to see anything but the darkness.

She followed quickly, worry beginning to plague her mind. "Umm...why don't we check...." her attention was caught by movement in one of the building's windows. "That one, I guess," she said, pointing at the one with the person in the window. She headed towards the entrance purposefully, opening the door and holding it for Adrian to enter, after peeking in and finding the lobby empty. She felt adrenaline rushing through her system, as a mix of fear and excitement spiked- she'd never done anything like this before. There was clearly a dangerous element here- just look at her companion! "After you," she said, with an ironic smile. "You'd know better than me which way she might have gone."

Adrian entered the lobby, looking around inside then turning back to Solia. "If she's here, we'll find her. I know it." No one even at the desk? Where the hell is everyone? Adrian leaned over, looking around before hopping over and digging around looking for anything that would help. Digging around he found a list of residents and began reading over it, mumbling a bit to himself as he read over the list. "... Adams... Brennan... Brown... Mickels... Tamon... Thompson... Williams... Wright... Nobody me or Claire would know." He tossed the list aside as he checked for anything else, noticing a purse under the desk. "Someone must have left in a hurry to forget this..." Stooping down he placed the purse on the desk and looked at Solia. "Is any of this strange to you?" He hopped over the desk again and looked over to the elevator, pressing the call button to no response. Ok... lights are on but the elevator won't work... looks like we're walking. A sigh left Adrian's lungs as he looked towards the stairs, rolling his eyes a bit as he peaked inside and upwards. "Great... a lot of ground to cover. Don't even know if she's here or not. Should we have a look around?" He turned to Solia and shrugged a bit, looking past her and thinking of the other apartment.

"This is seriously weird..." she said, almost a whisper, eyes flicking back and forth over the surroundings. "But we might as well... unless you think the other one's more likely?" She opened the stairwell door, eyes travelling up the first flight, the lights dim and flickering. It was silent, the sound of her breath echoing, oddly loud. She looked back at Adrian, suddenly worried. "Can you even go up the stairs?"

Adrian gave a mockingly hurt expression, trying his best to give off a positive air. "Please. I'm not broken." He started to climb the stairs, his right leg struggling a bit to move up. "Well, not entirely broken." He glanced around while ascending the stairs, flickering lights and empty halls stood before him. "This place always empty?" No noise except the buzz of overhead lights. No sights except the dark and light in the empty hall. Adrian's breathing was slow and calm, a mask hiding paranoia and fear as he began to enter the hall. Closed doors and haunting lights were all Adrian saw, moving slowly down the hall as he neared the corner, making a sharp left. A similar hallway came into sight, flickering lights and closed doors. Except for one. A door opened slightly, a small crack into an unknown stranger's room. A few steps towards this open door, Adrian's heart raced. He turned to Solia, silently mouthing for her to be careful. One hand reached down, opening the door as his other hand stayed close to his gun. Stepping inside he saw an abandoned living room, papers strewn about and the air stiff. "Is anyone here?" Glancing around the room he turned to see an open bedroom door, the sight of something on the bed froze Adrian's heart. He walked towards the open door, looking inside to see a man laying in bed unmoving and still. A few glances around the room and realization crept into his mind, unable to move as he looked upon the man, face covered by a pillow. He started to gag, shallow breaths as he tried to get air looking away from the horrifying sight. His face grew pale as he tried to make himself back out of the room, his body unwilling to move as he stared. Seconds ticked away, his body tense as he tried to breathe. Moments passed before Adrian could move, backing away as he watched the door. Adrian turned to Solia in horror, starting to speak. "Don't go in there..." Adrian leaned against a counter, shakily taking out one cigarette and lighting it. Taking a deep inhale of smoke, he felt the burning in his lungs for a moment before exhaling as smoke escaped him. His hands shook, his body unwilling to calm as he sat there.

She followed him silently up the staircase, their footsteps echoing eerily in the empty space. A nervous tingle started at the base of her neck, and she tilted her head to the side, trying to release all the tension she could feel. The hallway did nothing to ease her worries. That open door...she waited outside the door after Adrian went in, smelling a faint, repulsive smell she couldn't quite place. She was starting to worry, fidgeting as long seconds ticked by, when Adrian came out, looking, if it was possible, even worse than he had only a few minutes ago. "Are you okay?" Her eyes were huge with fear as she bent over him, leaning against the counter. "What is it? What's wrong?" Face even paler than usual, she turned her head away, something tickling the back of her mind. She frowned, concentrating, listening. There was Adrian's breath, harsh and uneven, even as he dragged on his cigarette. That thumping- what was it? SHe glanced at the man out of the corner of her eye- it was coming from him. It was a steady pattern, one she knew well...was it? Could it be- his heartbeat? Something is seriously wrong with you if you think you can hear that guy's heartbeat, part of her whispered, but she knew that she was right. She ignored it for now, what she wanted wasn't here. Up, then, above them.

Footsteps. And heartbeats. One stood out- fast and quieter than the others. A scared child? It was possible. "Adrian. There are people upstairs. You can hear their footsteps." She didn't mention their heartbeats, knowing he wouldn't believe her. She crept towards the stairs, quiet as a cat, intent on finding that lone heartbeat.

Adrian turned to Solia, doing his best to calm his nerves. "I can't hear a thing." He gave a glance to her, starting to follow close behind. His thoughts kept going back to that room. The manner, the discretion, the method. It all felt too familiar and yet so foreign. It was clean, meticulously placed. If the killer had tampered with the body no one would have known, but they left him like that in the final moments before death. His heart kept beating, slowing down the further away he was from that room. The darkness as they ascended started to grate his nerves, the buzz and flicker of the lights giving him a headache. "Hold on, I got a light." Adrian reached for his gun, giving the motion of flicking a switch as a small bulb of light underneath the barrel shined. A small path of light lit the way, showing the stairs ahead of them. Close inspection would show there is no flashlight but he hoped she wouldn't press on that. He followed close behind, keeping his gun secure as he looked over Solia's shoulder. No noise, no voices as he saw the inside of the next floor. He readied his gun, prepared for what would happen.
-------------------------------------------
Claire sat in this small closet, trying to look under the door but seeing no light. She heard the sound of boots all around her, moving slower as they neared the door in front of her. Her breathing silent, she moved towards the back of the room. No noise, she couldn't make a sound or they'd find her. She tensed as the footsteps started again, starting to walk away as she heard the sound of a radio. No words, just static. A light shone under the door, passing by a moment later as she heard three pairs of footsteps. They moved around inside this room, moving in darkness around her, an occasional crash of a door breaking off it's hinges. She mumbled under her breath to herself, trying to calm herself. "You need to be quiet."

Funny, she hadn't realized he had a flashlight, but then, she hadn't been paying much attention to him, just the sounds she could hear above them. She approached the door to the hallway she wanted, grabbing the doorknob, but afraid to open it. "Ready?" she whispered, glancing back at Adrian, who was right behind her, gun ready. She swallowed, fighteing her fear, before she opened the door slowly- maybe they won't notice?- and stuck her head out, just enough to look out down the hallway. For or five armed men were opening doors, looking for something- someone, maybe. Solia jerked back with a gasp, frightened, wide eyes meeting his. Sudden voices from the hall reached her ears, loud enough for anyone to hear. "Hey, was that door open before?" "I dunno, go check." A single set of footsteps approached them, making the hair on the back of Solia's neck rise. We're going to die, they're gonna kill us, I'm not ready to die! She didn't notice her fingernails lengthening and sharpening until they resembled claws more than human nails, her body ready to fight even if her mind wasn't.

The fear in Solia's eyes unnerved him, the sound of footsteps drawing near. Adrian readied his gun, keeping his eyes to the door as he moved to the right side wall. "What's out there?" His eyes met her's, keeping his gun trained on the door as he motioned for her to get beside the door. The footsteps drew closer, agonizingly closer as he held his grip steady. He focused on the door, he'd shoot at the first sign of a door opening. His breathing was even, he had to keep calm. Slowly the door started to open; his pulse quickening. Seconds dragged by, the door his only thought. His body shook yet his aim remained steady. Just shoot. Just shoot. The door swung open, a flash of blinding light filled the room as a gasp was the only thing heard as Adrian pulled a man inside. Moments later the light was gone, the door shut again and a man held tightly in Adrian's grip. The man's mouth was covered, the barrel of a gun on the side of his head. He stared at the man, shaking from adrenaline as his grip tightened. He looked to Solia and whispered, trying to hear down the hall as well. "Who the hell is this?" Chatter could be heard in the hall, muffled behind the closed doors and Adrian's racing heart. He glanced over at Solia then back to the man. Several thoughts raced through his head; many questions came to his mind before one finally escaped into words. "Is he military?" His words were shaky, yet his grip was tight as he focused on the door.

Was he planning on shooting the guy? She shook her head, finger to her lips, hoping they would just go away if they were quiet....yeah, right. The door opened, light flashed, Solia covering her eyes with a quickly riased arm, and by the time she could see again, Adrian had the guy, gun against his head. "I don't know...there's a ton of them out there!" She rubbed at her eyes, still seeing sfter-images of the flash. "What did you do? I can barely see!" She shook that away, turning her focus to their prisoner. "Okay, one wrong move, and you know what happens," she said in a low whisper. This was making her feel sick, wrong, but she had to push it away. "Who are you guys looking for? Who are you with?"

"Release me immediately!" the guy said, hate blazing in his eyes, voice too loud for Solia's liking! "You are innterupting a work of vital importance! We have clearance to kill anyone who-"

"Oh, shut up!," she snapped, slapping a hand over his mouth. "What do we do?" she asked Adrien, while looking at the guy. His outfit ticklied something in the back of her memory, particularily the acronym blazed across his chest. T.A.N.C. Where had she seen that before? Earlier today....Oh, you have got to be kidding me. "I think he's with the police or something, I saw a ton of guys in the street earlier, surrounding some kids...then a freak tornado exploded, and...and they were threatening to, to take down...to kill the kids." Claire. WHat if they were searching for Claire? Were they going to kill her, too?
