Daemon and Artemis went to the place where they slept the previous night, "time for bed girl" Daemon laid out a queen-size pad, he ad Artemis slept soundly.

Just as the sun began to rise above the treetops, Lucius reached the end of his trail of cards, picking the final one up. Still chuckling to himself, he regarded his surroundings. "If only I had stayed for a bit to see the where the sanctuary was." He laughed again, "How unfortunate."

Holding out the skull, Lucius summoned the Tantibus, calling it forth. "Ah, good to have you back. Now, could help me locate the entrance? Get to it, I'm bound to collapse and die at any moment now."

The Tantibus shuddered, it's eyes changing from red to blue. It sniffed the air, isolating and following one scent. Before too long, Lucius stood before the doorway, with the shadow by his side.

"Well, let's go greet our new friends."

With that, he opened the seal, and stepped inside.

An elderly lady whom sat next to a bed with Lyra in it sleeping peacefully, she looked back. "What is it Elder?" Rex came in while wiping his hands, not it was not long ago that he finished working on Lyra. "It feels as if there is a dark entity near by." The elder one stood with her cane in hand. "It, oh. It is almost dawn isn't?" The Elder looked back at the paling Rex. "Here I thought I would have time. Do you still think I can do it Kaeda?" Kaeda shook her head. "Even if you did it would be pointless, you are not the fighting type. Now let us go out and greet this shadow." Rex nodded and followed the Elder into the Center area looking about.

Lucius noted an odd pair walking towards him, quickly dispelling The Tantibus, he smiled while extending his hand. "Hello there, forgot to introduce myself earlier, quite a shame. Nonetheless, I'm Lucius, pleasure to meet you all."

Noting their tired eyes, he added, "Goodness, I didn't keep you up now, did I? Sorry about that, had a few personal errands to run. Ya know how Mothers are."

Keada with both her hands on her cane gave a slight bow in greeting. "I am Elder Keada and from what I have been told you have already met Rex, the healer. As a Unique, I thank you for ensuring the leader's return."

She smile at his question. "I am an old lady, tiredness is a fact now." Rex kept a careful eye on Lucius, not sure what to think of him.

"Well, It wasn't all that bad, just caused me to realize my own mortality, but I jest." Lucius' smile faded a bit, "You said healer right? Good, good."

With that, Lucius collapsed on the ground, skull in hand.

Rex upon instinct as a healer rushed to his side checking for for signs of what is wrong. "It may seem the Tantibus has become more than he can handle." Picking Lucius up Rex summoned his fairies to check and hopefully be able to heal him some. Running through Earth he went past many buildings and past a fountain in the Center. To a little hut full of herbs, Healer a sign could be read.

Opening his eyes for a brief moment, Lucius whispered to himself gleefully, "For at the final hour of madness, Death finally reaches the door."

A knock at the door sounded. Then it slowly opened, revealing two sad, fiery eyes.

"Nope, I won't let you die. Even in madness there is a calm. Do not give up!" Rex laid Lucius in a bed that once sat empty next to one that held a sleeping Lyra. "What have you not done? You still have a chance, you must give me one in return." Rex was pulling things together and mixing them trying to beat Lucius at the door.

"He's not dead you know." Lazarus stepped through the door, the fire behind his eyes diminishing. "Well, he is, but he's fine."

Lazarus walked to the other side of the room. "I sense your confusion. Allow me to explain." He paused to collect himself. "Lucius used to be a rather happy child, same as the rest. But, that all changed when The Tantibus bound itself to his mind. Unable to control his power, Lucius destroyed his entire village. But soon, he learned.

"He learned the key to its' strength. Fear. Fear is what gives it power, and the more powerful it is, the less control he truly had. In actuality, The Tantibus is only the size of a fist, hardly able to form into a knife. But it feeds from Lucius.

"Lucius is perhaps the most scared person under the sun. His mind and heart are full of shadow, and it scares him. His heart has long since been corrupted by The Tantibus, ceasing it to beat. The thought of what would happen if it left him scares him. Everyone he killed scare him. And most of all? He is scared of himself. Of what he can do, and what he can become.

Lazarus traced a small finger over Lucius's chest. "The Tantibus takes all of that fear, and devours it. Freeing Lucius from his own negative thoughts. It lets him laugh, sing, and smile. But the fear is still there. That's why he went home today. He grabbed something from his past, to constantly torture himself and keep him afraid. That fear lends him the power, and through power, control over the shadow.

"He truly is powerful. He has the ability to look at the hell that he is living, and laugh at it all. But underneath it all, all he feels is fear." Lazarus looked Rex straight in the eye. "Which is why it's so amazing what your leader did today. She caused him to feel something. He sensed the power within her, and immediately attached himself to her. Pledging his allegiance. Then, to prove it all, when she asked him to leave, leave the one thing he can relish in with his power, he did."

"Leave him. Leave him to me. I shall keep an eye on him as he adjusts to his new bindings." Lazarus turned away. "By the way, I'm Lazarus."

Rex stopped working on the herbs and sat down, motioning Lazarus to do the same. "Nice to know I won't have another death on my hands, can't save everyone." Mostly mumbling to himself, Fairies began to work rubbing on claiming ointments on both Lucius and Lyra. "Rex, Rex Tox" Placing a hand on his head Rex tried to clear his head. "So many questions." Sitting up straight to look at Lazarus, Rex gave an emotionless expression. "Let's start with one at a time, shall we?

"The one that concerns me the most; what did Lyra do and what kind of attachment do you mean? Another thing before we move from this question. Leave, what do you mean by leave? On both sides.

"Why should I leave my patent to you? I do not know you, I most diffidently would not leave him to someone I do not know." Sensing his lose on his emotions Rex cut the link with the fairies before they could get mischievous. "Please do elaborate on these things."

As the green serpent slithered back, Anguis lowered down to pick it up. it seemed to whisper something in his ear, before he set it back down on the ground again.

"So their tracks just...stopped, did they? well, we'll go to where they last were and tell the other hunters our little...'discovery'."

With that, the serpent was dismissed, and Sylchazar made his way quickly to where Ryuhwan and Tasha supposedly were.

"What..what happened here?" he asked, seeing the masks.

"Did they escape? If so, I think I've got some news you'll want to hear." While the others had been chasing the elusive uniques, Chameleoboa had managed to find their 'safehouse'. Perhaps this information, at least, would be useful.

"That's great you have information. But, we need to get these men who are still barely able to breathe in the Center." Ryuhwan got up from the ground and removed his mask. "Close this area off, death still lingers."

Tasha stood up next to Sylchazar. "Not ok with killing another Unique, but is ok with killing Hunters." He let out as he looked around.

"At least Lyra did not walk away with small injuries." One boasted out foolishly. "Idiot! At the cost of many of our men." Another scolded.

"That information, keep it in mind." Tasha spoke to Sylchazar.

Lyra woke with a start. "They know." Was all she said for she dare not to continue with the unknown man standing in front of her bed looking at Rex.

Rex turned his attention to Lyra then back to Lazarus. "Please do answer." Lyra looked between the two, not liking the atmosphere between she tried to get out of bed. "Do not move that leg, you will make it worse." Rex informed Lyra with out looking breaking his eye contact with Lazarus.

"Lyra here," Lazarus gestured to Lyra solemnly, "made Lucius feel something other than fear. How she did it, is unknown, as only he would know the answer, but I'm sure the shadow has already devoured the memory." As for leave, I mean leave him alone, tend to your leader here, and keep her well. The strength of all the others lies on her, and she needs as much strength as she can get."

"As for me," Lazarus began, "I am nobody. I am a ghost lost to time, the sanity that plagues his madness. The spark of light that cast his shadow." Lazarus looked back to the floor, dejected. Lucius stirred slightly in his slumber.

"Well, I do not see any harm in you staying, if what you say is true." Rex paused for a moment to collect his thoughts. "Ah-" Rex held up a hand to silence Lyra. "Since there is a possibility that we have been found. May I suggest that you do not leave. For. Any Reason."

"I need to met my in-" Lyra looked to Lazarus then continued. "I need to leave." Pain shot through hair body as she tried to move out of the bed.

"Your leg got ripped to shreds by hell hounds, I am doing my best to fight an infection." Rex gently took Lyra's arm and injected her with a fluid. "That is vile two. I have one left."

"Then go for me." Rex sighed as he put the vile in a bin.

"Of course." Sylchazar responded, nodding.

He looked over at the hunters who had been injured. So much suffering, he thought, deep in his twisted mind. One day, he would make sure it all stopped.

Sylchazar then went over to try and help some of the other hunters walk, or to help bring them back to the center in whatever way was needed.

Tasha began to check other Hunters for life while another one kept track of the number dead. Ryuhawn just watched as everyone was moving and helping each other.

Anguis, who wasn't needed to carry anyone presently, rsuhed to the entrance of the hall, pushing the door open. He held it while other hunters were carried in.

After the injured and deceased had been carried through, he quickly went over to where the inured hunters were, ready to help any way he could.

Ryuhwan disappeared when he was sure that all the Hunters were brought back dead or alive. He wasn't happy with the out come of this hunt. He should have grabbed her the moment he saw her, but the other Unique the one who had the shadow he was there from the start as well.

Tasha stayed and begun to check the wounded, once that was finished he started to count the lifeless bodies that lay on the floor and where ever there was space.

Sylchazar noticed the Ryuhwan was absent, however he simply continued to check on the wounded. Trying to chase someone up now was not going to help anybody, and would only distract him from his own goals. Besides, he had information to tell them.

After the wounded had been checked, he waited for any further instructions.
