Introduction

Alex was laying on the couch in the back room of the venue, throwing a hackey sack up in the air. He started singing the lyrics to I feel like dancin. He was wondering where is bandmates were when he heard someone open the door and Jack ran in with a burrito in his hand. "I JUST WANT TO..." Alex stopped throwing the hackey sack, he knew immediately what he was going to say. "Don't you dare assault that burrito, Jack Bassam Barakat." Jack looked at him and put down the burrito. "Geesh, full name? That's harsh." He laughed lightly and looked at Alex. Alex grinned and looked Jack up and down, biting his lip. Recently, Alex had been feeling differently around Jack but he couldn't figure out what exactly he was feeling. "ALEXANDER WILLIAM. Quit checking me out, dude. It's freaking me out." Alex laughed and stuck his tongue out at Jack. "What's bothering you bro?" Jack looked at Alex.

Alex bit his lip; sometimes it bothered him how easily Jack could read how he was feeling. He didn't know if he should admit what he was feeling or not. Actually, he wasn't entirely sure how he was feeling. He had this weird feeling in his stomach and his heart was beating so fast it felt like it might come out of his chest. He bit down hard on his lip, getting lost in thought. “Alexander William Gaskarth,” muttered his best friend looking at him, tapping his foot impatiently. “Er... nothing dude, I'm just tired Jackalope.” Jack grinned like an idiot when Alex used his favorite nickname. “Lex. I know something is bothering you. What's up?” He took your hand in his and squeezed it lightly. “You know you can tell me anything Lex, even if you think it's stupid. Please tell me?” Jack looked straight into Alex's eyes, as if he was trying to read what he was thinking.

Jack sat there waiting for who knows how long for Alex to show up. It felt like it had been ages, it wasn't helping that he missed Alex like crazy. He heard people talking outside and strained to try and hear what they were saying. Jack hoped that someone wasn't trying to get into the room that he was in. He heard a knock on the door followed by Alex's voice and sighed in relief. "Baby!" He smiled and tackled Alex in a hug, practically knocking him over. "YOu don;t know how much I've missed you Lex." He whispered into his ear and kissed his cheek.

Alex smiled and embraced Jack. "Oh how I've missed you!" Alex was a giddy fuck now. "I really hate to ruin the moment... But. We need to get out now. I'll tell you in a few why, but just do it." Alex got up and bolted for the door holding Jack's hands. They both were successfully outside when Alex spoke. "Alright. Now we're out. We can start with a few things. Like, why we needed to get out." Alex told Jack all about Lucy, and how the fan saved his ass. "Oh, and. We also need to talk about this upcoming topic of marriage." Alex stared at the ground. "I love you. I truly do. Remember that." Alex looked down at the ground again, waiting for Jack to respond.

But, yesterday you said... well I asked if you ever wanted to marry me like... in the future and you said... you said no." He managed to spit out, frowning as he said it.

Alex legitimately smacked his forehead. "What?" He felt like a dumb-ass. "How long into the future are you talking Jack? God! Was it so hard to specify?" Alex heard something fall, but he didn't care. He was too far into it. He kissed Jack some more. After an hour of kissing Alex thought it would be time to wind down. He snuggled close to Jack and laid there. Alex started to fall asleep in Jack's arm, but before he drifted he noticed something. "We should probably get some clothes on before everyone comes back. And unlock the door." As soon as Alex pulled on some boxers and sweatpants he heard the knob of the door turn. "Hold on!" he yelled as he walked to the door. Flyzik, Rian, & the rest of the crew walked in. "Where's Zack?" Alex immediately asked. "I dunno." Flyzik replied. Alex was immediately scared. Zack came out from the back of the bus. "Shit." Alex mumbled. "Hey guys. Alex! Jack! I didn't know you guys came back." "Really?" Alex asked scared. "Nope." Zack smiled awkwardly. Alex believed him, and sat back on the couch with Jack and gave him a kiss. Alex yawned. "Wanna go to sleep now?" he asked Jack. Alex yawned again as he waited for a response.

Jack woke up a half an hour after Alex did. There were tears streaming down his cheeks, he must've had a nightmare but he couldn't remember it. He tried to will himself to stop crying but he couldn't. "Must've been some nightmare." He mumbled to himself. He wondered when he suddenly was so emotional. Ever since he and Alex started dating he cried practically everyday or it seemed like it anyway. He wondered where Alex had gone off to but he didn't want to go and look for him while he was crying. He cuddled up in his bunk and pulled the blankets close. It was almost the same as having Alex's arms around him. Almost but not the same. "Lex?" He called, hoping that Alex would hear him. "Babe, can you come here?"

Jack put his arms around Alex and cried harder. "I-I-I h-h-h-had a nightmare. I can't remember it at all though." He sighed and held onto Alex, not wanting to let go. Suddenly everything came back to him at once. He had dreamt that it was his and Alex's wedding day and everything was going perfectly. But when asked if anyone objected, both Rian and Zack spoke up. This caused Alex to get all upset and run off, causing them to have to call off the wedding. He summed up the dream to Alex, it was painful to even talk about it. The dream had felt so incredibly real.

Jack almost dropped his cup of coffee when it was handed to him but, he managed to hold onto it. He took a sip before putting it down on the table. He moved back slightly so he was leaning against Alex. His eyes were still glued to the tv, he couldn't bring himself to look away. He put his hands on both sides of his face and screamed when a commercial came on. He didn't care if Alex and Rian made fun of him for doing that besides, they should probably be used to his obsession with this movie by now. Jack had made them watch it with them hundreds of times, to the point where each of them could quote every line from the movie. "I'm pretty sure this is the thousandth time I've seen this." Rian said with a laugh. Jack turned to him and rolled his eyes. He turned his attention back to the tv but the commercials were anything but interesting. "Does Zack have something against us or something?" He mumbled looking up at Alex. He ran his hand along Alex's chin. "You need to shave, baby." He laughed lightly.
