Roleplayers can join as one of the Gods, Demons or Humans, or even all three as multiple characters are allowed. You may group together or work singly. The breaking of the Laws may be your ultimate goal, or just another stepping stone to your desires. Perhaps you wish to uphold them, as nobody can predict the outcome of breaking these most basic universal laws. We shall embark on a journey through the Earth’s past, present and future, from the middle ages to the next millennium, exploring the consequences of breaking these Laws and their effects on the universe as we know it.

Human and Demons

They are the ones most likely to escape the notice of the Heavenly Rulers and will probably receive lighter punishments when they break the Laws, because they do not have as much responsibility as the Gods. If you are wondering how a Human can break the Laws and are afraid as a Human you will have nothing much to do, you are mistaken. I will be providing plot devices throughout the roleplay for you to break the Laws, and even go around them through loopholes. Precisely for this reason, I have not taken up a character yet - so I can help Humans break the Laws.



Heavenly Ruler, Gods, Demons and their Powers
The Heavenly Ruler is the supreme being. He/She/It is the one that created the Universe and set all its Laws in place. The role has been taken.

The Gods will be modelled after the Greek system with rivalries, weaknesses, and will only have control of one aspect, like Time, Death, etc. God applications are closed. I will be placing the few Gods I believe will be more important to the story line in the Characters heading first, but feel free to become a god of something not mentioned. Overlaps are allowed provided there is a good reason, like the two are blood relatives.

The only guidelines for Demons now is not to make them over-powered. I’m interested in the variety that can be created by players. Although not as powerful as the Gods, they were able to come to a truce in a recent war against the Gods due to their sheer number. Whether there is a hierachy or not, I will leave to the players to discuss. You may have a head demon, and smaller demons underneath him as NPC to be killed off in combat.

Breaking the Laws
Please check with me either by PM or here in the OOC about the way in which you wish to break Laws 2, 4 and 5. This is to prevent power-playing and extremely unrealistic scenarios from happening. These laws deal with the fundamentals of the universe and should not be broken very easily. Plus, if your character breaks these laws, it should have an impact on them in some way. For every action, there is a consequence.

In preparation for the breaking of Law 4, where time travels backwards as well, and history can possibly be altered, three threads will be set up. They will be representing the past, present and future. The past starts from AD 1300, present from 2009, and the future from 3000. Gods and Demons will naturally be able to live through all three ages. Humans will die, and can only be played in one age unless they have found a way to break Law 5 regarding death. You may roleplay in one, two or all three threads.

The Past
The Past will start from AD 1300. It is the Late Middle Ages in Europe, and the Yuan dynasty in China. Feel free to play in any country of the globe as anyone, these two are just for reference.

Just to spice things up, Humans will be allowed magic in this age, controlling one of the elements of Earth, Wind, Water or Fire. The only guideline here is that control and power are inversely proportional, and not all Humans have magical abilities. The more power you have, the lesser control your character should have over it, and vice versa.

The Present
The Present will start from AD2009. It is similar to our world, and I will be incorporating news events into the storyline as they happen.

Humans will be allowed more powers in this age, but this is limited to those that can be gained through evolution, as I don't want this turning into a mutant-power based rp. For example, telekinesis, elemental control like in The Past, telepathy, predicting the future in dreams/images, great strength, speed, dexterity will be allowed. NO flying, lasers out of eyes, fireworks exploding from your hands, or controlling the weather. Limit it to one power.

The Future
The Future will start from AD3000. Our efforts to protect the earth have been in vain. Despite limited resources, the government has launched a space program to colonise the moon and Mars, believing it is one of the ways out of this hell on earth. Another possible way out is Project 09 - a top-secret research team dedicated to making time-travel a possibility.

Humans will be allowed powers in this age similar to The Present. Limit it to two powers.

I know I have set many rules in place to keep some form of balance over this time-travelling, Gods and Demons roleplay, but I am open to ideas from players. You can either PM me or present your ideas in the OOC. As I said in the interest check thread, I envision this roleplay as a rebellion that will take place across time. The previous generation might not have succeeded, but their efforts will not be in vain, as the next generation will utilise advances made and push the rebellion further. Let us now use this backdrop of an ever-evolving Universe and create a story worthy of our characters.
