Rump lowered to the ground, tail flat and low. Ears too, flattened against her head. Muscles tensed as her body blended with the medium-height grass. Hazel's focused upon her target. Inside, she smiled, thinking of when to move.



Muzzle dipped down into the grass, inhaling the scents gathered along the ground from various passersby. When suddenly a familiar scent wafted by. Internally, he smiled at the situation. Giving a few gentle inhales and exhales to prepare, he suddenly turned to the side and dashed toward his attacker, landing his front body upon the attackers back. Muzzle widened and bit gently at the scruff. Tail wagging ever so slightly.



Suddenly her prey became her attacker. Eyes widened and hunkered down lower to the ground in a feeble attempt to escape. Once upon her back a yowl vibrated within her throat. Body rolled to the side, causing her head to snap in her attackers direction, nipping at his face.



Being nipped upon, he began to lick around his prey's ear. After a moment of that, he let out a deep half bark half yelp. Expressing his opinion, he backed away and sat down. Head canted and a whine was given. What made you think you could sneak up on me, Sister? You are a fool.



Panting, ,she stayed in her laying position, shamefully looking at him. Can I not try on occasion? She too yet out a half bark half yelp in his direction. Standing she turned her head and licked a few uneven patches upon her back, forcing them back down into place. Walking by him, she gently nipped at his neck. Let us return, Brother.



He chuckled lightly on the inside. Mya always tried and never succeeded. That he took pride in. When she nipped at him, he nipped back. Standing and turning to follow her. Yes Sir He playfully stated.

Together they returned, nipping and barking between each other along the way.

Sierra
Lieing on the ground, her head on her muzzle, she wathed the two young wolves walk back into the territory. She rolled her eyes seeing them nipp each other. She jumped to her paws, and stretched slowly. She has just woken up from her nap, and was now fine to hunt. "I'm going hunting, anyoone else care to join me?" She asked the wolves.

She finally parted from her brother after hearing Sierra. Slowly she found some shade and circled in a particular area. After a moment she plopped down, laying her head atop her two paws. A sigh emitted through her muzzle and eyes closed. Boredom struck her so.




He watched his sister roam away and finally lay. Ears stood up,twitching ever so slightly. Listening to Sierra he looked around. After a moment he looked back to her. If no others wish to join, I would not mind attempting to help. It seemed odd that most of the others wished to not help. He did not want to stand by and do nothing.

Sierra nodded at Kive. "Let us go than." She said, before running out of the camp. She looked behind her, to see Kive following her. Suddenly, she stopped short, and began sniffing the ground for any scenet of elk. She pricked her ears up as she heard the short mating call of an elk female. "Did you hear that?" Sierra asked Kive. "Thats are cue, we will kill kit and bring it back to the camp? Ok?" She asked Kive before droping into stalking position.

Kive dipped his head in acceptance of Sierra. Head turned to look back at his sister whom had already fallen asleep. Eyes returned to Sierra, noticing she had already left. With a quick jump in his step, he padded next to her. Nostrils flared a few times, taking in the scents. He was not skilled as a hunter,but as a warrior. It made little difference to him. A kill was a kill. However, his focused scense of creatures around were not as well developed as Sierra's. So for this, he relied mostly upon her.

Shortly after the sound of a mating female Elf echoed in his ears. Ears perked up in instinct. Head followed suite, looking for the proposed meal. Yes He said in response to hearing the call. Alright was his simple response to agreeing with what to do next. Immediately his form hugged the ground beneath him. Tail lay flat but stuck out. Ears stayed erect, listening to all the sounds around them. Eyes focused upon the Elk. Paws slowly took turns to approach where the Elk stood. No matter, he kept behind Sierra, allowing her to lead as she should.

Sierra flicked her ears gack and forth. Not taking her ehes off he female elk looking for a mate, she gestured to kive with her tail. She mothed go and she sprung up and chased the elk.

The elk bellowed at the 2 large wolves chasing it, and reared, before running off. Sierra chased it nipping at its heels. The elk bellowed then backed up rearing at her. Taking her chances, she sprang up at the elk, and bit its neck. Not enough to kill, but it stunned it. She wanted Kive to do the houners of killing this proud beast.

Shelbie ran through the forest, letting a toothy grin show as she enjoyed the caress of the breeze through her fur. It was one of her favorite things, running, and she did it every day to stretch her muscles and let loose. It was her time to be alone and be herself, where her shyness was just a memory. Shelbie loved the sound of the forest and her heartbeat, the sound of her paws hitting the cool grass under her feet. She let out a few yips of pleasure every now and again as she sped through the forest, not caring whether she sounded like a young pup or not. She sprinted for a while longer, observing the scenery around her, before finally slowing herself down. Panting slightly, she found a nearby stream and lapped up the cold, fresh water to quench her thirst. She knew she was nearby the pack camp, so once she was done she began padding in that direction until she broke through the tree line to the camp. She padded around until she found a comfortable spot under a nearby tree and laid down. She looked around and noticed that Mya was the only other wolf there, and figured the rest of the pack must have gone for a quick hunt. She gave Mya a look of acknowledgment, trying to decide whether to speak or not. She didn't know Mya well, as Shelbie was newer to the pack, so she decided now would be a good time to talk to her. She shoved her shyness to the back of her mind and let out a simple "Hello".

Edme saw Mya lieing down next to Shelbie."Hello!" Edme said to they, trotting over with her long tail wagging. She sat and her tail thumped on the ground. "Did you find any prey Shelbie?" She asked, paddiling her white paws (coated in mud) on the ground. She yawned, exposing sharp puppy teeth. "Mya..." She moaned. "I have a sore paw!" She exclaimes, lifting her right front paw.

Shelbie's ears pricked at the sound of the pup, Edme, greeting them. Her bright blue eyes sparkled with amusement as she greeted Edme. Pups had always been her weakness, as she always felt the need to protect them no matter the cause. Shelbie knew it was her maternal instincts, but it was also the fact that pups made it so easy for Shelbie to be herself around them. Pups aren't judge mental and are often just curious, and Shelbie enjoyed their innocence. Shelbie wasn't one to trust other adult wolves since her incident with her so-called "family" in her last pack, but she found she could often trust the little ones with little to no hesitation. Shelbie turned towards Edme to answer the pups question. "No, I'm afraid I didn't come across any prey. I was actually just going on a run to stretch out my muscles," Shelbie said to Edme. She watched as Edme padded her muddy paws on the ground. "Edme, how did you get your paws so dirty?" Shelbie chuckled at the pups mud-coated paws, figuring she must have been playing in a stream with a muddy bank, but wanting to hear what happened anyway.

"Aww, I'm hungry." She said, and rolled on the dirt, getting dirt all over her white fur. "Oh, I was in the river and guess what I got?" She asked. Not waiting for an answer, she rushed back to the pups den, and pulled sopmething out of it. She sat in front of Edme, and dropped her catch in front of her proudly. "I caught a rabbit!" She exclaimed, jumping happily. Her l;ong tail thumped the ground, and sent up a jet of dirt in the air. "I want to be a hunter just like you!" She said proudly.

Amaria was padding across the river. She was stalking some sort of feathered bird, a turkey. God they were ugly! "Gobble gobble gobble!" It said. Amaira crouched down, keeping her wagging tail low. When it turned it's back, she stalked/ran. She was right behind it, and then she pounced on its back. It screethed in panic, but it was cut off as she sunk her fangs into its neck. She spat out feathers, and licked the blood off her chest. Quickly, she picked the turkey up, and trotted back to the camp.

Amaria placed the turkey in the pile of fresh kill. It was half full; a few rabbits, voles and magpies. No deers today. She thought, as she placed it down. "Shelbie!' She barked happily. "Wanna hunt with me? Bring Edme as well, she will enjoy it!'" She barked, and paddedover to them. "Do you know where Sierra is?" She asked.
" We need to get more kill. Look at the pile! There's barely engough to feed Edme! No offence." She laughed.

Shelbie watched as Edme rolled around in the dirt, covering her white pelt in the dirty muck. She didn't quite understand how the pup could enjoy being dirty so much, but it was harmless, and she found it entertaining. Shelbie watched as Edme rushed off to the pups den to grab her prize. Shelbie chuckled as Esme excitedly dropped a rabbit in front of her and jumped around proudly. When she mentioned that she wanted to be a hunter she smiled. "Well, it looks like you're on your way with a kill like that! Keep practicing and you'll be a skilled hunter in no time!" Shelbie then heard the sound of pads hitting the ground and turned her head to see Amaria walking back into camp with a turkey. Her ears twitched when she heard Amaria call her name and ask her if she wanted to hunt. Shelbie nodded and stood up. "I'd love to go on a hunt." When the question about Sierra was asked, she shook her head. "I'm afraid I don't. I think she might have gone hunting though." Shelbie then stood up and shook her fur off before quickly stretching her muscles. Taking a quick look at the small food pile, Shelbie nodded in agreement with Amaria. "We definitely need more food for the pack. Let's go!" With that, Shelbie began padding towards the forest, before looking behind her to see if Edme was coming along as well.

"I can't hunt to save myself..." muttered Kobi after throwing the small, brown rabbit he caught onto the pile of the already caught prey. Hunting had never been one of Kobi's strong points but in the end he could still add his part to his pack's food. As he entered the camp, the last thing he saw was Edme's mud clad fur next to him, a few seconds after that she vanished into the woods he just came back from. Not bothering to do anything more, he lay down next to the prey and closed his eyes, wanting to relax before he eventuall had to go on a patrol.

Edme barked, and aced after Amaria and Shelbie. "What are we going to hunt!" She asked. " Oh I want to catch a bird!" She replied instantly. Her bright and happy personality made it impossible to be serious around her. "Shh" She whispered to them. "I smell..." She paused, taking a loud breath through her nose. "Babbit! I mean rabbit!" She gasped, trying to be quite. She slipped into hunters crouch, and stalked the rabbit. The rabbit paused, and sniffed the air. Edme stood still, and stalked again when it turned back to eating. She pounced, and killed it with one bite. "I gaught ipt!" She said with the rabbit in her mouth. She spat it on the ground, and wagged her tail so fast it looked like it would fly off any moment.

Shelbie smiled as Edme ran up to Amaria and herself. When she asked what they were going to hunt, Shelbie stopped for a moment and sniffed the air, looking for scents. She smelled a young deer not too far away. "I think a deer will be the goal for today's kill." Shelbie began padding slowly towards the scent, stopping to wait as Edme exclaimed that she wanted to catch a bird right before she killed a rabbit. "Good job Edme! But, you might want to leave the kill here. We don't want to draw attention to ourselves when hunting. We'll come back and get it once we're done, okay?" Shelbie smiled again towards Edme before she started following the deer's scent again. They were downwind, so Shelbie knew the chances of the deer finding their scent were small, even with a dead rabbit in tow, but Shelbie preferred not to risk it. They needed this kill, and she wanted the odds to be as much in their favor as possible. The wind slightly ruffled her pure white fur as she crept forward, signaling to the others that the prey was near and that they should do the same. She crouched down and slowly crawled forward until the young buck was in her sight. She flicked her tail, motioning for the others to come forward as well. The buck was facing the opposite direction and was eating. Shelbie knew it was the perfect opportunity to attack and again began slowly creeping forward towards the buck to get as close as possible. Knowing the others were close behind her, she made another motion before leaping up towards the deer. The buck jumped in surprise, giving Shelbie the perfect opportunity to clamp down on the buck's leg, causing it to fall to the ground with a loud "thud". Shelbie then went for the buck's neck to make the kill, but not before getting a kick from the leg she had attacked. A little dazed, she stepped back and let Edme and Amaria finish the deer off as she regained her composure. Shelbie was just happy she had been kicked by the weaker leg and not a completely healthy one, otherwise she would have been in a lot more pain instead of just simply being dazed.
