OLIVER QUINN

GENERAL INFO
Full name: Oliver Quinn
Nicknames: Oli
Gender: Male
Race: Caucasian
Birth Date: October 22nd
Age: Seventeen
Sexuality: Bi-Curious | Oliver has always been interested in girls... though a dare at a party might have changed that. His dare was to make out with one of his best mates[without the mate actually knowing this was a dare], so when his friend actually kissed him back... it was rather shocking for him. Ever since he has seemed to not be interested in girls anymore, though he isn't sure how to tell anyone that. So, he's secretly in the closet, even to himself.

APPEARANCE
Image
Oliver is long-limbed, tall, and skinny with a very pale complexion.

Height: 5'9"
Scars: None.
Tattoos: Nope.
Piercings: Nose, gauges in both ears, collarbone piercings.

PERSONALITY
Personality: Oliver's primary mode of living is focused internally, where he takes things in primarily via intuition. His secondary mode is external, where he deals with things according to how he feels about them, or how they fit with his personal value system. You could call him the "mature" one, depending on his mood.

He is rather complex, a highly intuitive individual. Artistic and creative, he lives in a world of hidden meanings and possibilities.

Oli places great importance on having things orderly and systematic in his outer world. He puts a lot of energy into identifying the best system for getting things done. On the other hand, he operates within himself on an intuitive basis which is entirely spontaneous. He knows things intuitively, without being able to pinpoint why, and without detailed knowledge of the subject at hand. He is usually right though, and he usually knows it. Consequently, Oli puts a tremendous amount of faith into his instincts and intuitions. This is something of a conflict between the inner and outer worlds, and may result in him not being as organized as others tend to be. Or we may see some signs of disarray in an otherwise orderly tendency, such as a consistently messy car.

He has an uncanny insight into people and situations. He gets "feelings" about things and intuitively understands them. This is the sort of thing that other people may scorn and scoff at, and he himself does not really understand his intuition at a level which can be verbalized. Though, he's pretty sure it's there. Consequently, he is protective of his inner self, sharing only what he chooses to share and when he chooses to share it. He is a deep, complex individual, who is quite private and typically difficult to understand. He holds back most of himself, and can be secretive.

He has a tendency to be stubborn and to ignore other people's opinions. Life is not necessarily easy for the boy, but he is capable of great depth of feeling and personal achievement.

Hobbies: Writing, parkour, running, football, learning.

HISTORY
Relationship Status: Open, for now.
Family: His mother died last year and his father refuses to leave his room, leaving Oliver in charge of the house and everything else. It doesn't bother him too much, other than the fact that he misses his mother a lot, and now that his father is practically dead to the world... he needs someone to depends on.
Known Languages: A small bit of French.

Oliver woke with a start, breathing heavily and shaking slightly. Every night for a week now, since that stupid party, he'd had the same dream. Another thing that had been happening that week was he had done everything in his power to stay away from Terrance. These dreams were really starting to get to him, and he was afraid of what he would want to do- or do- when he saw his best mate. And he was sort of, well to be honest, scared. There was no way that he could have feelings for his best friend, there was no way he could have feelings for a boy! Just because Terrance... he kissed him back... it didn't mean anything. He was probably just drunk or something. Did Terrance even drink? God, there was really something wrong with him. Even thinking that he felt anything other than friendship for his, well, friend, was ridiculous.

An hour later Oli left his house showered and looking quite adorable, wearing split leg black and white checker skinny jeans and a Motionless in White shirt. Instead of walking, he pulled out his board and decided to skate to school. It wasn't like there was much of a difference, but he hated walking. Fortunately he arrived rather early, which meant that he would be able to get to his locker and get to his first class before Terrance could find him. Though he knew that he wasn't going to be able to avoid his mate the whole day, and at some point he would have to talk to him. There wasn't really a reason for his nervousness either, Terrance seemed completely normal. It was him that was making a big deal about it. Well, it was sort of a big deal when you had a crush on your best friend. Wait, no, he didn't have a crush on him. They were just friends, god.

That morning was crazy. The children were running wild, jumping on the couch and beds and one of them was even up on the table. Jane was trying to make breakfast and take care of them at the same time, and also make sure they were quiet enough to not wake him up. As soon as the little one, a five year old girl named Andy, told him that he felt terrible. If he'd just woken up earlier he would have been able to help. Jordan and Zai, eleven year old twins, were jumping on the couch when he finally made it downstairs. He quickly pulled each one up, spinning them around before playfully "slamming" them back down on the couch. By the end James was on the ground with both boys on his back, trying to beat him up. Though soon Jane called for breakfast, mouthing a quick thank you to James.

He went upstairs and showered, throwing on a pair of white skinny jeans and a Fuck Love tee that he knew he was going to get in trouble for wearing. The only other thing he had to grab was his black mailbag, and then he was off to school.

As soon as he stepped inside the school his eyes went through the crowd, searching for his friends. Unfortunately he was pretty short so it wasn't the easiest thing for him to find anyone. Shuffling over to his locker, he pulled the door open and shoved his bag inside, only bothering to grab his math book before locking it. Lucky him, he got assigned math first period. The only subject that he was terribly terrible at.

Terrance rushed out of his house, grabbing an apple as he left. Outside of his house stood Jess, his girlfriend. She wore he usual dark dress and dark make up. Many people were scared to talk to Jess or just thought she was a freak, but Terrance really liked her. Jess was an outsider. Not really accepted in the small little neighborhood. She was nice and tough. Just what Terrance liked. Terrance smiled at her, and she smirked in return. She forced a kiss onto the blond and together they walked off, talking up a storm.

They stopped by a cafe to get some coffee and headed to school. They entered school the school building, kissed, and went their own ways. Terrance had a smug grin on his face as he walked to his locker. He saw Oli and smirked. Though Oli seemed to be a bit tense around him, but Terrance was too spacey to notice or acknowledge. Terrance and Oli had been friends for a long time, and when Oliver had kissed him, Terrance fell in love, but seeing as it was only a dare, Terrance pretended it meant nothing to him. He wrapped an arm around his friend and smiled kindly. "Oli! Hi!! What's up, bud?"

James rolled his eyes, having heard the girl approach but not having time to turn and catch her like he usually would have. That meant that she was surely going to try and mess his hair up, which came only moments after he felt her wrap herself around him. He couldn't help but smile though, Annie just happened to have this way of always making his day seem a thousand times better. Perhaps it was just the positive vibe he felt around her, and sometimes he felt that if he even tried to be negative she would tear his eyes out. "I missed you too," he teased, pulling her away from the door so other people could get into the classroom. To be honest, he wasn't really that thrilled about going to class, and if it wasn't for having to get home early to take care of the kids, he would probably skip this period. But if he did, he would get a detention, and then he would let Jane down. "You forgot your school things," he said, arching an eyebrow.

Oliver stood staring at his open locker, hand gripping the door of it so tightly that his knuckles had turned white. When had he turned into this? This... complete wreck of a person. To say the least, he was ashamed in himself. His parents- well his dad- okay, before his mother died and his father went slightly insane, they had been quite the religion freaks. Even though it was a year ago, every time he thought of his mother it was like a knife was wedging itself a bit deeper in his chest. And he wouldn't dare ever let her down, which meant there was no way he could be attracted to anyone else but... girls.

Hearing the sound of his friends voice, his eyes somehow found him in the small crowd just in time to see Terrance and that girl exchange a kiss. That girl, it was sort of pathetic how he'd come to start calling her that. It wasn't jealousy, he would never admit to that, but he still didn't like her. Apparently his friend had spotted him too, but Oliver quickly looked back to his locker, as if that would stop the blonde from coming over. Still, he felt Terrance's arm go over his shoulder and he shrugged it off. "Hey Terrance," he said, suddenly distracted with the unopened math book in his hands.

Terrance notced that his friend was tense, and so he stepped back. He stared at Oliver for a moment, taking in his posture. he was thinking about something troubling. Something had popped up in his head that was upsetting. Terrance touched the boys shoulder and asked kind heartedly, "You alright?" Terrance only seemed to care for Oliver. He would only act like he cared around Oliver. They were friends. Terrance didnt see it that way, but thats how it was.

You would have probably expected Oliver to relax when Terrance pulled away, but instead a pained expression covered his face. He had probably offended the other boy... that was the complete opposite of what he had wanted to do. The touch to his shoulder made him jump, and he stared at the hand for a moment, but made no move to remove it. Nodding slowly, Oli slumped against the wall of lockers to his left. "I just was thinking about my mum," he lied easily, though it wasn't entirely a lie. He had thought about his mom, how disappointed she would be that he had kissed another boy. Terrance had been there for him though, when his mother had passed away. There was no way he would ever repay him for that.

James shook his head, a bemused expression crossing his face. Annie was always the greatest girl in the room, at least that's what he thought. The little- hah, he was only an inch taller than her- red head always seemed to capture the attention of the room. If he liked girls, there was no doubt in his mind that she would be his crush. "I'm pretty sure all teachers have something planned for today." He said, acting quite serious. "You know they all get together and plan these things!", he joked, though it was probably true. Teachers always did seem to schedule everything for the same days.

At that moment, James was too busy staring at one of the new kids to say anything else to Annie. Well, this was probably a new record for the school. Maybe, maybe they would get a new student every other year or so, which meant that three new students all at once was a big thing. His attention was captured by the boy in the back, talking to Juliet and that girl she chose to hang out with- Blair, he reminded himself. The other girl was fun to be around, but they also tended to butt heads a lot. That wasn't so pleasant, considering he never did well under pressure. It was exactly why he didn't try and make close friends with anyone, the commitment and seriousness was terrifying. Just the thought of having to please Annie and Juliet, make sure that they weren't mad at him, was a scary thought.

He was pulled out of his thoughts when he got an elbow in his side, and his cheeks flushed slightly red at her teasing. "We all know that I'm forever a bridesmaid, never a bride," he replied, something he said quite often when anyone mentioned love or dating. "Which reminds me, if I am not a bridesmaid when you get married, I'm crashing the wedding James Bond style." He gave her a very serious look before winking. "I'm going to go bother the new kid, you should go save Jules from Blair," he was only half teasing when he turned and went towards the back of the room, dropping into the desk next to Jessi. "You're new." Nice job stating the obvious. "I'm James," he offered his hand for the boy to shake, meeting the eyes of every other person in the group before going back to the boy.

Terrance heaved a heavy sigh, feeling bad for his best friend. He smiled lightly and said, "Now I know boys aren't supposed to do this, but I do what I want, and you really need this." Terrance, without waiting for his friend's reply, pulled Oli into a hug and patted his back. He stepped back quickly to give the kid some breathing room, knowing he'd feel a little uncomfortable about it. "Don't be so upset. It'll ruin your whole day, alright?."

Terrance was always making other smile. Whether it was him being an idiot or actually trying to make another kid smile. He ignored the common rules of the social pyramid and did whatever made him happy. This included, (but was not limited to) (1) Telling everyone he was bisexual (2) Getting bullied a couple times for hanging out with the 'lame kids' and (3) Doing and saying whatever he wanted. He didn't care who or what said about him. They were not important in his book of friends.

Tears sprung into his eyes when Terrance's arms went around him, and he wished that he hadn't pulled away so quickly. Still, he wasn't about to try and pull him into another hug, it would just be awkward. Sniffling pathetically, he swiped at his eyes and gave a weak laugh. "Look at me," he said, still trying to wipe his eyes but in a way that wouldn't leave them red. "I'm turning into a girl." It was an attempt at a joke, a pathetic one at that.

The evil little voice in the back of his mind yet again reminded him that Terrance was bi-sexual, and not only that but the somewhat popular kid even threatened to lower his status by hanging out with someone like himself. But that still didn't really make a difference, his friend had a girlfriend. And he was a boy. "You still planning on coming to watch the game after school?" You really don't have to bring your girlfriend though, he thought, but didn't say it out loud. He didn't really feel up to going and playing football, but he knew that if he missed the first game the coach would be quick to find someone to replace him.

James grinned, looking back over to Juliet. "Of course, I must keep up my gentlemanly appearance," his voice pitched into a deeper, more formal sounding tone near the end, clearly planned to make the others laugh. Smirking, his eyes flicked back over to the new boy, and then back to Juliet before he winked in her direction. It was meant to make her blush, also meaning that he totally saw her being friendly with the boy. It wasn't that his friend was mean, just she didn't seem to be that quick to make new friends either. It definitely wasn't something that bothered him though, he adored the attention he got from both of his girls.

Finally turning back to new boy, he stuck out his hand and began the usual introduction speech he gave everyone. "I'm Jamie Lee, exactly five foot and three inches. I wear a size nine shoe and also prefer men over women, making you the possible Mister Jamie Lee," that was the only part that usually changed in his speech, but only his two friends knew of it. If he thoughts whoever it was was cute, date-able if you may, then he would say that. If not, he would simply end his introduction at men over women. "And who would you be?" He really was never one for subtleties.

Oliver began to cry, and Terrance was a little startled, but not really surprised. He placed a hand on his shoulder, trying to respect his guy space. From what he knew, Oliver was a real dude, and guys touching each other was not on his agenda. He smiled and nodded as he talked about his game. He really needed something to do after school anyways. Jess had a doctors appointment. Just best friends together. Or well... Terrance was going to watch Oliver play sports, something that he actually bested Terrance in.

"Just us then after school. Awesome. I'll get us some pizza for after your game." Terrance said to his friend reassuringly.

Oliver offered a small smile, though on the inside he was quite excited about being able to hang out with his best friend. With just his best friend, not that girl that seemed to always be around him now. Even at lunch, it usually completely ruined his appetite. He couldn't watch the two together without being jealous, even before the kiss at the party, and now it was just going to be torturous during lunch period. Obviously now he knew that the odd feeling he got in the pit of his stomach was jealousy, which would make it a thousand times worse for him. He wasn't supposed to be crushing on his best friend, who had a girlfriend of his own.

"Pepperoni and extra cheese, right?", Oli offered him his best smile, even though he knew it was insincere.
