Poor Serina. She was shaking so violently, it frightened Lukas. He held her in his arms, letting her grip his chest. He kept his arms wrapped around her protectivly. Lukas could hear her crying silently out of fear. He shushed her softly, and sat with his legs crossed, letting her rest in his lap. "Shhhh... it's ok... everything is going to be ok... don't worry, I'll protect you..." His voice a quiet and kind. He stroked her hair soothingly and rocked callback and forth rhythmically.

This was the kind of protection she'd been missing her whole life, sure her father was a very powerful guardian angel but he was never home to protect his little girl. Serina curled up into Lukas's lap and quivered she began to sing under her breath the song she sang when she had to go through storms alone back home. She changed positions and now had her face barried in the. Curve of his shoulder and neck. Her lips brushing softly against his skin as she sang.

"Tie me up against the mast and shield the sunlight from my eyes for I no longer can resist the haunting of her cries. They call me from the jagged rock it was the sweetest melody like gold and honey dripping from the fingertips of God. I feel the wind against my face from the flapping of her wings I feel the soft and silky tenderness all choking me. And I can almost feel happiness it's such a long way off ooh and I can almost feel your embrace above the sirens call" she sang in a shakes voice.

Lukas listened to her singing. She was beautiful. He had heard this song before. He was pretty sure his mother had sung it or something. He didn't know any of the words so he just hummed along. The thunder and lightning boomed over head still.

"Are you alright Serina? I hope you don't mind me asking, but why are you so afraid? You don't need to worry." Lukas muttered into her ear. He kissed the top of her head gently.

Serina opened her eyes and looked at him and. Stammered "I...I can.nt explain it but I can show you" she said and placed her fingertips at his temples and leaned her forehead against his.she then played out a memory putting him in her shoes. He was all alone in a big empty house hiding under a piano a blanket wrapped around him cowering as thunder boomed and shook the whole house and lightnig flashed in the huge picture window, there was no rain cuz that fell downwards when you lived on the clouds you only got. The darkness and the thunder and lightning. Her father and mother were no where to be found so its just you alone riding out the storm.

Lukas shuddered at the loud sounds created by the sort of dream Serina was showing him. He pulled himself out of the vision by getting her fingers off of his temples. It was truly frightening, the loud sounds of the thunder booming and the lightning flashing brightly. Lukas suppressed the shiver the was crawling up his spine. He understood know.

"I think I get it know. But you're not alone anymore. Like I said, you don't need to worry..." He kissed her forehead softly and then hugged her tightly.

Serina opened her eyes and nodded curling up in his lap again like a little girl. "Thank you" she whispered as she closed her eyes pulling his arms around her. For a brief moment she wondered where tundra was.

He was actually hiding under the bed snuggling Fireworm playingwith his tail to keep him distracted. He looked out from under the bed to where his mommy was and mewed for her.

Serina clicked her tongue and Tundra sprinted to them landing in her lap.

Those two words made Lukas smile. He gave her a gentle squeezing hug. Lukas was wondering if Fireworm had wandered off. His little Dragon isnt scared by thunder in any wag. His mother was, in fact, a lightningwing. It wasn't until Serina called Tundra over did Lukas realize where his Dragon was.

After Tundra hopped into Serina' s lap, Fireworm poked his head out from under the bed. He trotted over to Lukas and sat down next to him. "Nice job keeping Tundra calm." Lukas gave him a light scratch on the head. Fireworm smiled tilting his head to the side. "I'm proud of you, big boy. Your showing some real potential." Fireworm's tail swished back and forth, a toothy grin plastered on his face. Lukas let go of Serina for a moment to to put Fireworm in a head lock and give him affectionate nuggy.

Serina held her tiger in his lap scratching his soft fur nuzzling him. Purring as well she spoke to him in his own language. Whispering motherly it's okays and I'm right here's to him.

She remembered the night she found Tundra, it was part of an Angela's quest to find their spirit guide. And the night she found tundra was almost just like this stormy and terrifying, usually spirit guides were full grown but not Tundra he was just a newborn cub. She figured God thought she needed something to take care of to get her mind off of not having anyone to take care of her.

He looked like this tiny little drowned rat, he had jumped and fell into a pond when the thunder rolled. his mew was just a squeak then she picked him up and ran to the house to dry him off so he didn't get hypothermia. She spent that whole night trying to keep him alive she didn't even think about the storm.

She smiled softly as she came back to the present and heard Lukas talk to Fireworm.

Lukas smiled and patted Fireworm’s head, making sure not to poke himself on his dragon’s sharp horns. Lukas looked back at Serina. “Are you alright now?” He asked his future wife. The thunder was still booming overhead, but he hoped that Serina would be ok now. He glanced in her direction, his arms still wrapped around her protectively. He suddenly realized that he didn’t want to let go. He wanted to hold onto her forever and make all of her fears melt away.

After the storm died down SyKo calmed. It was about 5:30 p.m. Then it hit SyKo. She totally forgot about making dinner.. SyKo facepalmed then scurried off to the kitchen to search for things to make. When she couldn't make up her mind she decided to go around and ask the couples what they would like for dinner. "I um.. Can't decide what to make so... Er, what would you like for dinner?" She asked each couple.

Lukas smiled. He was happy Serina was feeling safer now that the storm seemed to be subsiding. Lukas got to his feet with a slight grunt, and stretched his back and shoulders.

"She's really pretty." Lukas glanced at his dragon, who was curling up on the bed.

"That's not exactly all that you look for in a human girl." Lukas chuckled and sat on the edge of his bed and patted his dragon.

"That's how it works with dragons. The ones with the prettiest and shiniest scales get the most lovers usually." Fireworm shrugged.

"When did you become the Romance Advisor?" He joked, poking his dragon's nose. Fireworm wrinkled his nose and then covered it with his tail. "I'll call you when dinner is done."

Fireworm nodded as his eyelids drooped and he dozed off. Lukas got up slowly, not wanting to wake him up. He walked out of the room, and closed the door, but he didn't know how much it would do considering there was a giant hole in it. Lukas walked down the stair quietly and looked around. He hadn't seened very much of the other couples he was staying in the mansion with. He shrugged and walked into the kitchen, where he saw Serina and the Maid cooking dinner.

"Good evening ladies." Lukas said, a pinch of humor present in his speech. "What will we be eating this fine afternoon?" He asked, still joking a bit about his formality.

SyKo scoffed slightly. "Dunno.." She replied to Lukas. "Oh, and um..I didn't get your name before, what was it?" she asked him. She suprised herself by not being as shy. Maybe Lukas and Serina could be her first friends.. She'd never had any friends.... SyKo had shunned herself away from the outside world but now at the mansion, she was starting to open up a bit...

She then turned to Serina. "Oh.. Er," She mumbled biting her bottom lip. She sighed. "I'm extremely afraid of... S-Storms. I hug my knees in a corner and have huge panic attacks.... I usually start to hallucinate too.. Deep down on the inside I really am going mad..." She said quickly, trying not to think about the past.

She made some home made fried chicken and mashed potatoes. "Since you didn't order anything specific I was thinking we could split some comfort food." She said lookin up at the man she was supposed to marry and bit her lip as she waited for his reply.

She then looked at SyKo "oh god hun I'm so sorry,I'm terrified of storms as well. No one should be alone during them...so umm during the next one come see me or umm us" she said glancing at Lukas "you don't have to deal with them by yourself you have friends here" she said softly with a warm smile to her new friend.

Lukas didn't care. "Well whatever it is it smells delicious." He smiled drinking in the scent of the cooking food. He walked over to the two girls and gave Serina one of the those hugs-from-behind. He kept his arms wrappedd around her, but loosened his grip enough so he wasn't necissarily squeezing her tightly.

He rested his gaze on the maid again. "Looks like both or you are petrified of storms, huh? I wonder if that's common..." Lukas wondered.
