Galenassel Valentino's Story

Nothing. She was nothing. She could feel the rock she was sitting on, the sunlight on her back, the trees and bushes and little creatures crawling beneath and above her, but she could not feel herself. Gale enjoyed this feeling. She could feel her mind leaving her head, as if it knew everything, as if it could feel everything. And of course, it could.

There were many things Gale had to let go of today. For once, Gale had to start thinking about where the spirits would take her while she planned to live on her own. She also had to start thinking about marriage. Gale was 21, the customary age for elves to find their soulmates. This was the time that Gale had to stay away from her clan, and find other clans. She wouldn't be doing that just yet, but it was coming. Gale could feel it approach sooner and sooner every day....

Suddenly, Gale felt a disturbance. Quickly, she grabbed her wooden blowdart, and headed to Unicorn's Glade. She could feel something. Something concerning her cousin, Lindethiel.

It wasn't hard to find her cousin. Gale only had to follow the sweet sounds of her flute that blew through the forest trees like wind. Gale spied in on what was happening while hiding in a bush.

There was Lindethiel, playing her flute to members of the Faith Furry clan. They were nekos, and although nekos were considered creatures of nature, these nekos weren't particularly friendly. The brother of the clan, Shinta, was known to despise elves. (Gale had figured that out through listening to the forest spirits)
And if anything, it was hard to trust any creature these days. All the clans had been fighting, hurting each other simply for the sport of war. Gale didn't want to see that happening to Lindethiel. Also, Gale spotted another neko hiding from the tree line. Would this neko attack Lindethiel when she least expected it? Gale couldn't let that happen to her cousin.

She ran to Lindethiel, revealing herself from her hiding spot, and grabbed her arm. She spoke with her deep voice,
"My cousin, we do not converse with outsiders. You do not know these stranger's intentions. After all, some even despise our kind."
She glared at Shinta with fierce eyes when she said this.
"I do not want to see you hurt. Let's go," she said, pulling Lindethiel away from the nekos and into the woods.

He.would laugh as he was pounced. "my darling sister, always following my." He would shake his head and chuckle at her. "so adorable." Shin muttered. He would close his eyes, and listen to the songs. "not like the fae I an used to." He admits with a long sigh. Whatever would he do.he was born to fight... Trained as a young kitten to despise other races. He looked at Gale and narrowed his eyes back at he
"this is what I am used to" he starts, before changing his mind with his baby sister there. he runs his fingers across his firm abs. "there is enough Shinta to go around." He laughs, he find himself quite amusing, as his tail required back and forth. Such a vain cat he was, but he had a right to be vain, all cats were. He sniffs the air. Something didnt seem write right. his ears would flatten against his damp hair as a low growl escaped his throat. He didnt seem to want to trust the fair folk anymore. "what is going on elf?" He asks his blue eyes now full of caution. He pulls his sister closer to him not wanting any harm come to befal her. He even promised his parents nothing would.

As her cousin Lin drew the message and sent it away with the bottle, Gale sat beside her, not exactly meditating, but clearing her mind. The nekos, what arrogant animals they were. They never took anything seriously. They were the most vile creatures....

Suddenly, Gale could feel something approaching, something supernatural. The wind; it was not a normal force of nature. Gale's first instinct was to run away, but the wind was too fast. It blue over her before she had a chance to move.
"LIN!!!!!" she suddenly screamed. It was too late.

Elune's spell started to take control of her body.

Anxiety turned into peace, and anger turned into sorrow. Gale looked around her. Something was different, she just didn't know what. Nothing had changed, except for her heart.

"I....." she started, "...I....I'm sorry Lin. Did I frighten you? It's just....I was thinking....and i'd like to apologize....taking you away from them....you were right. If you'd like, we can go back. It's just....I'm sorry if i hurt you." she hugged her cousin gently, and patted her back. Not only did Gale want to return to the Nekos for her cousin's sake, but for her own sake as well. She was curious. She had known all creatures, except for Nekos.

Lindethiel, who was wandering around again, was thinking about how weird Gale acted today. One moment later she forgot about it, because she saw a light siluet dissapear. Her curiosity was caught and the young elf went to the place where the figure was.

Lindethiel noticed Shinta right before she was about to step on his tail. The girl gasped loudly and squeaked because she was surprised. "Oh, it's you... the one that hates us... Well, have a nice night." She said and walked away.

"BUT FIRST YOU'LL TELL ME WHY?" Lin yelled after she came back to him. "WHY? WHY DO YOU HATE US?" Rudolph, one of the werewolf clan, put his hands on Lin's shoulders in order to calm her don. "Now, Lin! Don't get furious on randomn moments and places..." Then he whispered: "Others might think that you're attacking".

It was night time. Gale had spent the day looking after the creatures of the forest. Gale was always one to pay attention to detail, and today detail was the only thing on her mind. For some unexplainable, foolish, bizarre, and somewhat childlike reason, Gale could not stop fantasizing about the neko she had encountered before, Shinta Faith.

There was something about him.....she didn't know what.....that was simply different. She felt as though he knew something that she didn't....but what? That was what Gale couldn't figure out. It was like trying to read a book, but the more she read, the more confused she got. She had known Shinta before. She had seen his face and heard his name. Heck, she even knew his beliefs. But this time, Shinta stood out to her. It was as though there was something about him that wasn't there before.

Was it possible to fantasize about a creature so different, to wish happiness upon your enemy? Gale didn't know. Approaching the boulder she had meditated on before, Gale climbed up the sturdy rock, and began to pray to the goddess of the moon, Elune.

"My goddess, your grace, thy fair Elune," she started, "what are these feelings? What is this curiosity, this desire, to reach out to a stranger? Are you trying to tell me something, or am i simply going mad? Wise goddess, gentle goddess, please grant me the strength to approach this matter. Please, reveal yourself to me!"

Suddenly, Gale could hear a rustle coming from the tall grass behind her. She sighed, and shouted, "Hunson, I will not fall for your tricks. You know that. Please, i ask that you leave." Gale heard the chuckling of the vampire as he vanished away. His red eyes faded away into the black of night. Once Gale knew he was gone, she looked up at the stars, hoping she would find an answer to her many questions.

(ooc: i will be making a character sheet for Hunson the vampire soon :) he will be the role of the vampire brother.)

"Calm down, Arianna..." Rudolph quietly told her sister while they were walking away.
Lindethiel didn't expect Shin's reply. "He stopped hating elves out of sudden? And what's with the interest to my cousin?" This made her think deeply. "And did he just request me a serenade for her? And another really important thing..."

She started running after the nekos and jumped in front of Shinta. "YOU HATE WEREWOLVES NOW?" The cat people probably wouldn't get rid of the elf soon. "This time I won't ask you why." anger could be read in her eyes even in the dark. She was squeezing her fists. "You probably have your own reasons. Probably some elf or werewolf have done something to you! BUT THIS ISN'T A REASON TO HATE THE WHOLE RACES! IF THERE IS EVEN ONE SINGLE PERSON IN THE GLADE THAT HATES ONE OR MORE ENTIRE RACES, WE SHALL NOT LIVE IN UNITY AND PEACE! AND EVERYONE WILL KEEP HURTING EACHOTHER FOREVER! IS THAT WHAT YOU WANT? No! Don't answer! Good night!"

The young woman ran away. "What if he still hates elves and pretends to be interested in Gale in order to hurt her? No, I won't let him get near her!" She thought out of sudden.

Gale looked down to see a neko with bright red hair and a matching fiery red tail. Gale was surprised to see the neko there. It was as if she had appeared out of nowhere.
"Why hello there," she said, giving a polite smile. It hurt her to see the neko hissing at her, but instead of shooting her with a poisonous dart from her blowgun, she resisted and sat on the rock with her legs crossed.
"I hate to be of a bother on this fair night, but i give you advice. You might want to keep your head up. There are some dangerous creatures lurking around these woods at night."

"VERY dangerous creatures" the blue haired vampire said. This time, he was right behind Gale. She almost jumped as she saw her mischievious friend take her by surprise.
"Hunson," she said sternly, "I told you to go away. I'm sorry. I'm not really in the mood to talk right now."
"Whatever floats your boat, princess," he said, exposing a bit of his fangs from his smirk. Gale rolled her eyes at the vampire's nickname for her. The two had been friends for a long time, but they showed their friendship in teasing rather than laughing.
"Well, i guess i'll smell you later, Nessie," he said, walking past the rock and past Elune in her neko form.
"Have a great night, m'lady" he said, winking at Elune before he departed into the tall grass.

"I'm sorry if he annoyed you. He can be so obnoxious sometimes." Gale said to Elune. Her new curiousity getting the best of her, Gale wanted to get to know this neko, and furthermore, she wanted to know if she knew of Shinta Faith.
"I don't think I've sensed your presence anywhere around Unicorn's Glade. Are you new here? Are you part of the Faith clan?" she asked the goddess.

Almost exactly after when Gale had asked the neko where she was from, her eyes shined in a mysterious way, and her eyes became concerned.
"I....I sense....fire...." Gale started to pick herself up off of the rock, and began to run towards where she smelled the smoke.
"I'm sorry i must go. I must protect the forest before this fire spreads!" she shouted to Elune.

She kept running, but she stopped in her tracks when she sensed the presence of another being. It seemed as though she stared into space, but she was simply tracking the creature's aura. Deciding that the fire was more important, she ran off again. She forgot to bring her blowgun, and it still lay next to the rock that she was sitting on.

"it's raining... Fire is gone." the neko said as he suddenly stepped in front of Gale. As Gale saw Shinta in front of her, her body tensed up and her eyes scattered around the forest nervously. She wasn't showing signs of sweating or warmth, as the rain was cooling her down. Gale noticed that Shinta called out to the neko behind her, referring to her as 'Spunk'. He must've known her from somewhere....

"twas my house." the neko murmured. Gale wasn't aware of it, but her eyes became sympathetic and concerned. If only she had known about the fire earlier...she could have stopped it....

"I've ben looking for you. I wanted to apologize..." he continued, holding out his hand. "name is Shinta... CALL me Shin."
Gale's stiffness was broken with a smile, and she shook his hand firmly. "Well, i guess i can say that i've been wanting to apologize to you too, Shin. I'm Galenassal, but you may call me Gale." She blushed a little as she let go of her grasp on Shin. Now was the time to start over and forget about the past.

"I'm terribly sorry to hear about your household. Please, if you and your family need a place to stay, i'd be more than happy to share my residence with you. It's the least I can do. You might want to come, Shin..." she leaned closer to him, and whispered, "i have spare clothes. I'm assuming you need to borrow some!"
She giggled as she walked away to the rock to grab her blowgun. She looked back to the neko with a light smile and shouted, "Well? You comin'?"

" so Gale..tis a nice name, like the wind."
Gale chuckled silently to herself. "Thank you Shin. Unfortunately, my full name, Galenassel, derives from the word 'pipeweed'. To some, it is a name that brings merriment to the ears, but to others, like myself, who DON'T smoke, it's rather awkward..."

Gale noticed the two tunes that Shin was whisking. What could they mean? she would find out later.

Knowing that her home was just a few steps away, Gale stopped in her tracks, and stood in front of Shinta. For once, she had encountered a creature besides an elf who was taller than her. She smiled as if she knew something he did not.

"Before we continue, Shin, i have to ask.....are you afraid of heights?"

Solar felt the rain and watched as the fire died down "your so stupid Solar" she mumbled to herself then let out a few coughs. She was now covered in ash and fur was slightly singed. She walked out of the house and saw Rikka, coughing a little she looked down to the ground. "Rikka..im sorry, I was just trying to do something good, I just cant do anything right" she whislered the let out a couple coughs. Her ears twitched as she heard the tune and her eyes went alert "Brothers calling us". She then booked it to the forest and jumped into one of the trees, theb jumped from tree to tree till she was close to were she could smell her brothers scent. Carefully getting closer from tree to tree she noticed her brother with that elf lady from earlier. She was in a tree that was close to them, crouched on one of the branches she let out a small cat like hiss then let out her familiar tune to her brother letting him know she was there but not.exactly getting to close.

"Arianna, you must tell them... Sooner or later they'll know... Mother and father love you and they will accept your tastes. Humans are able to accept this, so is our clan." Rudolph told his sister. "Arianna, they would be more upset about hiding secrets."

"Probably he really has changed..." Lindethiel was thinking while she was walking around as always.
"Hey! HEY! WHY ARE YOU NEXT TO MY COUSIN WITHOUT WEARING ANYTHING?" Lin yelled after she saw them. "COVER YOURSELF RIGHT NOW! WHAT IS THE MEANING OF THIS?" The girl threw a piece of cloth at him. It was unknown where did she got it from. The elf pointed at her furious eyes with two of the fingers, then she pointed at Shin like she was saying 'I'm watching you! Don't mess up!'. Then she looked around. "Will someone explain me what's going on here?"

"It's alright, Shin," Gale said as she stepped forward to Lindethiel.
"Lin, i hope you don't mind, but their going to have to stay with us at the elven courts. I'm sure there's enough room for them and our clan. I mean, we do have a lot of extra space...." she said. She turned back to Shin and smiled. "You ready?" she asked as she continued to walk.

The elven courts were perhaps the most mysterious and interesting out of all the lands in Unicorn's Glade. The air smelled of jade, and the trees shined in the moonlight with a combination of green and silver.

"Here we are, welcome to the Abode," Gale said, pointing up. There, located on the top of the wide tree, was a huge and luxurious tree house. Beautiful paper lanterns were hung around the surrounding trees and on the roof of the house.
"This is the Adaben," Gale said as she looked upon her home, " We call it the Abode, for short. It has been passed down to the members of my family and the members of the Snook clan for many years, now. One thing you must know about elves is that we love tradition, and the Abode is a perfect example of that. Well, enough of my talking, let's get you all inside."

To get to the deck of the treehouse, Gale climbed a long rope ladder and pulled herself up to the top of the tree. She climbed rather fast, as she was used to it. Once at the top, Gale opened the curtain entrance. Wind chimes greeted her as the curtains opened. Walking through the main hallway and past the kitchen, Gale led the group to theliving room, and found a surprise as she entered.

"So, you came here?" she asked, looking at Hunson with an intrigued expression. The vampire smirked as he continued to lay on the couch. "Didn't know you'd have company over, princess." he said, motioning at the group behind her. "Just here me out. I have to talk to you later," he said. Gale sighed, and turned her attention back to the Faith clan. "You all can stay in here if you'd like until I come back, then I'll lead you to your rooms. Shin, I know my sister very politely gave you clothing," she said sarcastically, "but i'm sure you'll need some more. It's going to get cold out tonight. I'm pretty sure my father's old clothes will fit you...hmmmm.....I'll be right back."

Before she headed up the stairs, she had a word with her vampire friend. "Now listen Hunson, I don't want any of your tricks while they're here. When i come back, i expect them all to not have bite marks on their necks...."
"Really, Nessie? You think i'm that low? Any friend of princess's is a friend of mine," he said as he started to levitate off of the couch into the air.
"Well in that case, go introduce yourself," the elf said. She hurriedly ran up the stairs unto the second floor. There were 3 floors in all.

"So..." the vampire started as the nekos came into the room, "How's everybody doing on this fine full-mooned night? You know what that means..." he said, cupping his hands. Hunson pointed his head to the ceiling and made the exact sound of a werewolf howling into the night. The chilling sound bounced around the room, echoing into everyone's ears. Due to Hunson's power of shapeshifting, he was able to do animal impressions very well.

Before Rudolph could reply somehow, he started shaking. His insides were burning, his bones started hurting and his head was about to burst. He grew a few inches and developed fur and a tail. "ROOOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAARRRRRRRRR!" At first sight one would say that he would attack Arianna. "Darn! I wish I could control my form at this time!" At least he could control his mind during unexpected transformations and he wouldn't usually follow the normal killing instincts of an average werewolf. "Instead of complaining about being driven crazy by mom and dad, put the cards on the table! Or maybe you would prefer to have a baby from someone you don't love? And please, stop growling at me! I didn't do anything!"

"So now we're living together..." Lindethiel thought. "Everything changes so rapidly! Is this the birth of peace, or Shinta Faith is an evil genius, who is up to something? Since Gale trusts him, I'll try to do the same... but I'll keep an eye on him..." "HOOOOOOOOOOOOWWWWWWWWLLLL" Hunson howled.

Hunson laughed at Shinta's comment. As soon as he left the room, however, his fake laughter turned into a furious and confused look.
"Geez....what a douche....seriously? 'dogs do know how to howl really well'..." he muttered in a mock impression of Shinta. The insult made him change his opinion towards the guests. He floated towards Rikka and took a glance at her. "Well, i guess it's just me, you, and blondie over there," he said, motioning to Lin.
Just then, Gale came down the stairs. She looked around the room, confused. "Where's Shinta?" she called out. "did he leave or something?"

"Oh yeah, he left." Hunson said without hesitation. He sat next to Rikka, blocking her from Gale's view. "It was all just an elaborate prank pulled by his family so that they can get revenge on you. NOW THEY KNOW WHERE YOU LIVE, PRINCESS!!"
Gale looked at Hunson with a stern face. She had been friends with him for so long, that she knew whether or not he was lying. "Very funny. Lin, have you seen Shin?" she asked, concerned.

"ENOUGH WITH THE LIES, HUNSON!" Lin was never too tired to yell. "Shinta will be right back, Gale! You know how Hunson likes to joke about serious things!" The girl went silent for a few seconds, walked to her cousin and continued. "Still... don't you think this is strange? He hated us not long ago... and suddenly he claims about a change of a heart... This guy is weird! I'll try to look for him, if you want." Lindethiel thought earlier that she would keep an eye on him and now she's doing it. The blonde elf went outside and started looking for him. She was alittle afraid, until she finally saw him. He was with his younger sister... He was comforting her. Lindethiel heard their conversation and was alittle sad about their misfortune. "Maybe he isn't that bad..." she thought. "Maybe he really had changed and this is the beginning of the long desired peace... I have no idea who is that Spunk, but I guess that it's up to Gale to fill the emptyness..." A smile formed on Lin's face. She started running back to the house.

"Great... now we have to hunt..." Rudolph has never liked to kill, but his species required it. "Hi, Lin." He greeted his elven friend. "Sup, Rudolph?" she greeted back and continued running.

"Okay. Thank you, Lindethiel," said Gale. A couple seconds after Lin had left, Hunson went up to the window, and shouted down to his sister.
"WHAT DO YOU WANT DAWN?!?" he rolled his eyes back at Gale before speaking again. "I HAVE TO TALK TO GALE ABOUT SOMETHING IMPORTANT!!!" he crossed his arms, waiting for a response. Although there were many times that Hunson and Dawn had gotten along, but since Hunson usually preferred to be alone, sometimes he viewed her as annoying.

As the two vampires were talking through the window, Gale noticed Rikka sitting alone in the corner. "Are you okay?" she asked the neko in a deep sweet voice. She sat next to her. "Are you scared about Hunson? He's really obnoxious, i know..."

"I'm back!" Lindethiel went inside. "What's with Hunson's yelling? Ugh, I hate it when people do that!" the irony here wasn't important. Lin was looking at Gale comforting Rikka. She was happy that two different species got along so well. "Shin and his sister will be here soon." Lindethiel sat next to Rikka and Gale. "I think that you're lucky." she told her cousin. "So... since we'll be living together, what's your name?" She asked Rikka. "Don't worry, I don't bite." She obviously noticed that Rikka isn't from the most outgoing people.

Rudolph was quietly following his prey. He was getting closer... and closer... until he suddenly jumped over the deer. He showed his claws, his teeth shined in the moon light, his eyes were aiming at the mammal.
The deer ran away in the last second and Rudolph moaned in pain after he fell on the ground.

"That's horrible! My condolences!" Lindethiel replied. "It's not a problem at all that you're with us. Spunk is watching you from up there..." The girl pointed up. "She would be happy if you and your siblings are happy wherever you are." When Lin was in good mood, she would bring optimism even when it comes to death. "Bad things are always followed by good ones. Remember always to believe that there is always a bright exit no matter what happens... And besides... I'm hungry. Do you want something to eat?" She asked Gale and Rikka.

Rudolph was chasing another deer. "WAIT! I'LL KILL YOU FAST AND WITHOUT ANY PAIN! I PROMISE! I HAVE NO IDEA WHY AM I SAYING THIS!"

Raziel:

He nodded and smiled softly, "I'll try to change my mindset Miss Elune..." He sighed and flapped his wings, "Though I do sense some trouble in the glade...if you'll excuse me." He nodded and flew off He stayed low enough he could see where the trouble was comming from. His ears pricked up when he heard his sisters voice. "No..." He'd shake his head, his sister has embrassed the fallen life, and he has not. He spotted two cats running away from a werewolf, "Dammit...'scuse me lord." He'd say quickly as he flew down to assist them. He landed right infront of the gorgeous werewolf. "Leave them alone." He yells drawing his sword, though the werewolf wasn't undead, the angel fire was bright enough to cause a distraction. He turned to Shinta and Solar. "Go you two... for we will meet again." He gave a friendly smile and a wink, then turned back to the large werewolf.

Shinta:

He ran how the hell did he get caught up in these messes. This was the same werewolf that he had seen by the glade. He picked his sister up after minutes of running and carried her as fast as he could. Then an angel with large glossy white wings landed right behind him. "What the?" He'd say to himself and Solar. His eyes watered when he saw that he had a sword of fire. "I need one of those." He'd say to Solar again. He didn't want to disturb the angel. Hearing him speak to them he nodded and continue running. Guess some people aren't as hostile as I thought... He thought to himself, he continued running back to Gale and Lins house. He put Solar down so he could walk through the door as normal as he could. "I'm home!" He'd sing happily He pouted as he saw everyone in the room. "Why's your vampire friend hanging out the window? Thinking of going bat?" He'd joke with a smile. I don't trust that vampire one bit, something is a bit off about him. Next time, my whole family will stay next to me. He thought while looking at Hunson. For the time being he'd be friendly with him...until he gave him a reason not to. "Oh... Gale? Would you...be able to teach Solar how to cook?" he scratched the back of his head, he wasn't that much of a cook...but he tried. "Spunk, she never had gotten around to it...." He shook his head and curled up on the floor. There it was again.. memories.

Dawn:

"Dammit brother! Your suppposed to be searching for a mate, not eating an elf!" She'd scream. She really didn't like him, nope not at all. He was so rude to her when she was just trying to help out. She'd shrug and smelling the wolves she ran off once more. She stopped at the edge of the forest and watched Rudolph chase down a few deers. She shapeshifted herself to look like an innocent deer, except she was black with red streaks. Dawn slowly walked out into the clearing and started to graze. She wondered why she needed to talk to Rudolph, she hated all werewolves, so why should she even consider being around one? Oh... it was for a mate. Damn her parents.
