As he saw the carnage the old man left in his escape he thought to go to the base to check the city layout for any clues to the distrustful kids, and the old flying fart....."ah wait noooo! can find a dame thing in this computer wait that place the asylum the kids aren't crazy no no strange, and unknowing about there powers extent to some degrees but not crazy *flashes back to his before days* *the willies* that was unpleasant now i know that place from oh no no no no no!!!"

It was then he realized that place was a prison for supers he was a "dropper" at the place early on in his evil days "too think that place was over and they escaped wow...... i cant tell them but i will help them as much as possible" then Arron go into some comfy clothes and start to play the violin in his bed and Mozart requiem at that and fell asleep shortly after.

The dreariest place on Earth.

Karen woke up realizing, to her dismay, that this was not all just a bad dream. She suddenly heard screaming coming from the hall outside her padded room.

“When I get outta here I’m gonna grind that little fucker into a snow cone! When the fuck did Blaze get a damn sidekick anyway?”

She went to the door to get a look, but was soon put off by the smell of raw sewage. She welcomed the break in the silence, but soon it was quiet again and she was once again alone with her thoughts. “So was it worth it?” Her inner monolog mocked her. She couldn’t respond due to the special gag and steel muzzle. “All this because you had to get revenge. Didn’t really think it through did ya? You don’t belong here with these …people. You’re not a villain.” Her thoughts were driving her insane. She was the wife of a rich investment banker, she shouldn’t be in here, where ever here was.

Karen heard the lock on her door unlatch. One of the security guards grabbed one of the loops on her straight jacket.

“O’Riley, Chief Hendricks wants to have a word with you, says it’s urgent.”

He guided her through the halls of the facility until they got to a small room with nothing but a table and a chair on either side and what she assumed was a one way mirror. There was a note pad on the table on the side where she was standing. Chief Hendricks walked into the room.

“Take the jacket off and cuff her.” he ordered the guard. The guard did as instructed then left the room. She sat down at the table and Hendricks sat across from her.

“Well, well, Miss O’Riley, seems you’ve gotten into a heap of trouble.”
She nodded.

“Now you’re in here with all these super freaks, but here’s the problem; you’re not one of them are you, Miss O’Riley?”

She shook her head.

“You’re married to one of the richest investment bankers in the country and, with your powers, you could have gotten anything you wanted from him.”

She grabbed the pen next to the note pad and scribbled something down.
“No powers, I loved him.” Hendricks read from the pad.

“Then why did you rob the bank?”

She scribbled more down. “Would you do business with him after what I did?”

“No I don’t think I would.” he responded.

“Exactly!” She wrote

“So you were trying to ruin him. The oldest story in the book, revenge. What happened, you find him in bed with the big chested secretary?”

She scribbled two words and showed the pad to Hendricks with her head hanging low.

“Pool boy.” He read out loud and winced as if it caused him physical pain to say the words. “I’m sorry.” He replied sympathetically.

“Why not just use extortion?”

“Lose more money this way.” She wrote.

“Well, I can’t condone what you did, but I can’t blame you either. So how would you like a chance to redeem yourself?”

She shook her head excitedly.

“Well Ice Pick, the guy who put you in here, as well as a couple of other super heroes have informed the agency of a real whack job who want’s to commit genocide against the whole super human population. He thinks the guy might be some sort of religious extremist. At any rate he specifically asked for your help, he says the guy has super sensitive hearing and uses sound or vibration powers. If this guy isn’t taken down, it could mean the end of all supers, not just villains.”

“Let’s do it.” She wrote on the pad.

“That’s what I wanted to hea… eh… read. How ‘bout we get those things off you?” he said as he unlocked the muzzle and removed the gag.

“Oh thanks.” She gasped. “That feels so much better.” She massaged her jaw to relieve the ache from the gag. “At least now I don’t have to be fed with an IV.”

“Okay, we need to get you on the chopper and out to the site.” He un-cuffed her and gave her an athletic looking, magenta and dark red body suit.

“What’s this?” She asked as she unfolded it

“It’s the new you. There’s a mask too so no one knows who you are. I’ll let you change.” He left the room while she put on the form fitting body suit. She tapped on the door when she was done.

“Looks good on you.” He smirked. He handed her a small device that looked like a modified portable radio.

“What’s this?”

“That’s plan C. Get it to Ice Pick he told us to make one when he took you down. It’s only a prototype, but it’s the best our scientists could come up with. He’ll know what to do with it.”

The two of them went up to the roof and got her into the helicopter.

“You’re doing a good thing, Karen.” He yelled over the sound of the engines.

“Call me Siren.” She yelled back to him and the chopper took off.

“Yeah, I know. Parents can be a pain sometimes

He did his best to contain his emotions. On one hand he was devastated that he wouldn’t get to go to the dance with Christian, but on the other Christian had just made clear what he’d known since the kiss; Christian liked him.

Throughout the rest of the day Pit had the day dreamy look in his eyes and couldn’t stop smiling. He was practically skipping through the halls, and for a Goth boy like him the smiling was creepy enough. He didn’t even think about Blaze or Amp or revenge the rest of the day. At lunch, a girl from his algebra class came and sat next to him while he saved the seat next to him for Christian.
“Um, could you by chance help me with some homework? I know I haven’t talked to you before but I kind of really like your hair so it just seemed easier to approach you”

She stopped messing with her hair and tried her best to look him in the eye

“See, I’m kinda shy....”

"Well, thanks." He said, blushing from the compliment. "But I don't think I'm the best person to be asking, I've been absent for two months. I barely understand the material myself, I doubt I could explain it very well." He shrugged. "But if you want, I have some magenta hair dye, we could put some streaks in and it would really bring out your red eyes."

"Red eyes?" He thought to himself "That's ... completely normal around this place."

Christian returned and sat next to him, instantly sucking up all his attention. After the final bell rang he walked with Christian to the bus stop and when he was sure no one was looking he kissed him on the cheek. He watched him blush for a second before leaving to walk home.

He kept in good spirits until he saw his crater in the field and remembered Blaze. He knew nobody was around to see him and he conjured an icicle and launched it at the crater in frustration. He was feeling a need for revenge, but he remembered the way Blaze was fighting last night with such passion and grace. And the way he beat the shit out of Amp was cool too. At least one of the parties responsible for his accident was taken care of. But if Blaze took care of Amp, could he really be all that bad? Was it possible that his own prejudices toward supers had blinded him to the good they do? He didn’t know what he believed anymore. Sure the supers caused tons of damage, some of which wasn’t fixable, but was it worth it? Did the ends finally justify the means?

By the time he got back to the thought of Christian liking him he was as his front door.

“Hi sweetie.” His mom called from the kitchen.

“Hey Mom.”

“I know that tone, what’s going on, who is it?”

“Damn she’s good.” he thought to himself as he took off his backpack and threw it on the couch.

“How do you always know these things?”

“I’m a mom, it’s my job to know. So spill it.” She insisted.

“Well, it’s Christian.” Pit stammered

“Really?! It’s about time.”

“Wait! You knew he liked me?” He shrieked.

“Honey sit down.” she said as she sat at table and motioned for him to have a seat.

“Sweetie, a boy like you, well, doesn’t have many friends. But the ones you do have are real friends. You’re different, weird and kinda spooky; all great qualities, but they’re off-putting to the sheep of the world. Christian is no sheep, he’s a great guy. He was always coming over for dinner, you were always talking about him and you always smiled when you did. Shortly after your accident you got a phone call (how your phone survived the blast we never figured out either) and when we answered it, it was Christian wanting to go to the arcade with you. We told him what happened and he was at the hospital so soon, I thought he was going to be followed by the police for speeding. He was there every single day for two months. He would read you the comic books you liked, tell you what was happening at school and even watch TV with you. He was the first to get here everyday and the last one to leave. He’d stay with you sometimes in complete silence while he did his homework in that uncomfortable chair in the room. Sometimes I’d watch him from the hall when I knew he didn’t see me and he’d whisper things in your ear while his eyes filled with tears. And on the last day, right before you woke up, I saw him kiss you.”

“So you knew he liked me and didn’t say anything?” Pit grimaced.

“Sweetie, the guy I just described doesn’t just like you, he cares deeply for you and may even love you. To be honest I thought you two were dating in secret, so nobody made fun of you.”

“Wow, Mom. I love you.” Pit said as he hugged her. He grabbed his backpack and went down to his room to do his homework. His mind was racing with all she had told him, but then different things started flashing and playing back in his head.

“He was there every single day for two months.”

“…Dusk Haven’s favorite pyromaniac has returned to fight crime again after a two month hiatus.”

The searing heat that woke him from his coma, the way Christian always had somewhere to be, the way Blaze fought Amp with such anger and passion, the haggard look Christian always seemed to have in the morning like he never got enough sleep, that hurt look on his face when ever Pit was bad mouthing supers.

It all made sense now.

“HOLY SHIT!” He yelled with the realization.

“You Okay?” His mom called down to him.

“Yeah. Just killed a big spider.” He called back.

He couldn’t believe it. Christian was Blaze or at least that’s what the evidence suggested.

“That boy is Lois Lane-ing me.” He muttered.
“Trying to keep me in the dark, thinking that if I knew the truth I’d be in danger. I can keep a secret. I have my own super powers nobody knows about.”

He knew what he had to do. He went upstairs.
“Hey, Mom, can I borrow the sewing machine in the storage closet downstairs? I got a few pairs of jeans that are tearing around the seams.”

“Sure sweetie, just put everything back when you’re done.”

“Thanks Mom.”

He returned to his room and got the sewing machine. It was time for a costume of his own.

“Looks like Blaze is gonna get some help in the crime fighting business from … Ice Pick.”
