After much self-convincing, Alex finally forced herself to get up. She stretched her limbs, stifling a small yawn, and rubbed her eyes as if to rub away the sleepiness that still lingered. She had slept quite a bit, and slept well, but years of not sleeping at all inside the cement walls of the facility had accumulated and were now catching up to her. She yawned again before tossing aside the covers and dragging her feet to the restroom. The morning routine was quick, mostly because she was beyond hungry and whatever was being cooked up in the kitchen was aggressively attacking her nostrils. After cleaning up, she ran her fingers through her now short hair and headed out. The smell became ten times stronger the moment the door was opened and she followed it all the way to the kitchen, her eyes scanning everyone inside. "Morning" she mumbled, her gaze switching to the boxes on the table. "What smells so good in here?". Her curiosity led her to peek inside the boxes before closing them again and taking a seat at the table.
