Introduction
This story starts with the two scientists and Letterman in the modern day, after Reach has been destroyed. These were the major 3 people not on Reach when it got attacked. The scientists have been researching Time Travel for quite some time. They made a machine that they believe would help prevent the destruction of Reach. It works much like a Slipspace Jump, send the person not only through space, but time as well. Letterman offers to try it, and is suddenly in a totally unexpected position.

All of your gear is customizeable how you see fit. But make it fit with what your job within your squad it. If you're a Scout, have Recon armor. Heavy Weapons Specialist, higher strength armor... etc.
Just to be clear, I don't expect anyone to post paragraphs for each reply. Just to reply frequently enough to keep the story moving.

Henry ran as the device was being set up. He had 3 chips with him, 1 meant for Indigo leader, the other 2 for the others Cortana said would be needed to save reach. The 3 chips, each one designed for one spartan, were ready. "All ready sir, is it time" he said, referring to the time warp. He had his own specialized Combat suit on. Cortana came online "sorry i cant go with you, but John needs me here to help him fight the covenant back, in case you don't succeed". "Understood" Falen responded. "it was time" he said to himself

"I want this operation to begin immediately. Let's go." As Letterman walked back to the machine, Joshua turned to an assisstant scientist that was to stay here and start up the machiene for the three traveling. "Start her up as soon as my brother gets with us." Joshua then found his way to the machine as well.
Henry Falen then entered the room. "Do you have the chips?" Letterman asked him. Joshua nodded toward his older brother, acknowledging that he was ready to start this very risky operation.

"Let's do this." Letterman said, as the scientist in the other room started up the machine. It worked much like a gravity lift, lifting the user up, but instead of stopping at the roof, it sent the user through a teleporter that was also sending the person through time. The Teleporter piece was set for Reach, days before the covenent would begin to arrive.
Letterman stepped into it first, followed quickly by the scientists. And was thrown violently into something much like a memory. He was flung into a chair in his Reach office. Letterman was one of the few lucky people to not be on Reach the day it was attacked. He looked at his calender. He was scheduled to leave on a flight going to Earth for that day, he remembered. Just then, his assistant, Corporal Peter Wright walked in. "Sir," Wright began, "Your flight leaves in an hour, we better get going." Tears almost entered Letterman's eyes. Wright was a good man, and wasn't allowed on the flight. Letterman stood from his chair and crossed the room. "It's good to see you Corporal." He said as he shook Wright's hand, hard. "Tell the flight crew... Tell them to cancel the flight. I'm staying here. I have more... More important matters to attend to."
J. Falen:
Joshua followed as John went though the portal. Joshua came to think of it as The Wormhole, because it was sending them through time and space. He landed violently on a dirt road. He began to sit up when a warthog nearly ran him over. The warthog swerved aside and just barely missed him. "What are you doing in the middle of the road Private?!" Joshua looked up to the driver to see that the warthog carried two Spartans. One driving, the other on the gun. Private? Falen asked himself. He looked down to see that he wore the casual uniform of a Private. Meant more for relaxing on base than being out on a patrol. "I'm lost," Joshua said. Which wasn't a total lie. "Could you point me in the direction of the Actual base?" he asked. The driver looked back to the gunner, probably wondering how the man was lost at all. "We can take you there. Hop in." The driver finally responded. Joshua hopped in, awestruck. Never, never in his lifetime had he seen a Spartan, in their full glory. He couldn't help but stare at the armor of the spartan, dumbfounded at the simplicity of it. The models he had seen were much more advanced than what he's worked with.

J. Falen:
Joshua had to lie quickly. If somehow word got out that he wasn't from this time, at his current age, the whole operation would go down. "Well, Alex, I'm not really a private. I'm a scientist. I got these clothes because they couldn't find anything for me at the time." That was safe enough, wasn't it? Joshua decided to be as honestly safe as possible. "I was actually getting some materials for a project I'm working on. Looks like either Intel lied, or I read it wrong. Nothing I need here. But also I was supposed to get material from the Actual base. That's why I'm headed there."

Henry started working already to the plan they had come up with. "Well thats odd, im getting some sort of abnormality in tower 3." he told them all. "That isnt good, Tower 3 is important, the Rebels might have taken it." he suggested. Phase one was in place.
Alex:
"Understood, il go with my team to check it out" he said as they approached Actual Base. Little did any of them know what was...oh wait, yes, 3 people know. lol.

Letterman remembered his duties here on Reach fairly quickly. He was at an exceptional running status within minutes. Wright seemed concerned though. He canceled his flight and was even better at his job all of a sudden. Something didn't quite add up in Wright's mind. "Are you okay, sir?" He asked Letterman. "Never better Corporal." Letterman responded. "Give me a recap on all the Actual team's current objectives." Wright pulled out his holographic notepad. It kept track of all the things going on on the base at any given moment. "Holli and Noble do not have anything currently, but Indigo just input a request to go survey tower three, out west of here. Approve, sir?" Letterman paused as he remembered Alex and his men. "That will be all, Corporal. Dismissed." Wright shook his head as the General gave his customary dismissal of the Corporal when he asked to do his job. Wright saluted, turned on his heel and left. Letterman returned the salute and sat back behind his desk. "Spartan 007, do you copy? Over." He spoke into his desk display to get the Spartans attention.

Letterman:
"Spartan, repeat that last. Did you say Covenent? On Reach?" Letterman put on a fake tone. He already knew the convenent would be here. But he couldn't let his men know that. "Alex, get your team out to that tower immediately. I want you to put them down. Show them Reach does not welcome them. Take Holli Actual with you. I'm sending them their orders now." Letterman shut down the line and pulled up Holli Actual's squad leader. The spartan came into view and said, "I know sir. I just heard. I'm assembling my team now." Letterman nodded and shut down that comm as well. He wasn't staying behind on this one. He grabbed his portable comm and got the Falen brothers. They had been given comms when they entered the base. "Henry, Joshua. I want you at the landing pad, ASAP. We're overseeing this mission personally."
J. Falen:
Joshua was on his way to find Henry again when his comm blinked. Letterman wanted them at the landing pad. Mission? Joshua obviously wasn't quite up to date. "Sir, I'm hitching a ride with Holli Actual 5 and 6. They're taking a Hog." Joshua said as he hopped into the Warthog. Holli 5 handed him a silenced SMG and a couple of magazines. "We're dropping you off near the gaurd post. Indigo 6 should be waiting for you there." Holli 5 told Joshua. Joshua nodded as the Warthog zoomed off towards Tower 3.

As soon as they entered the base, the Warthog came under fire. A sniper nailed on of the tires, flipping the Warthog before they reached their destination of the gaurd post. Joshua was flung from the passenger seat and landed behind a bush. The SMG Holli 5 handed him was by the flipped Warthog, the two Spartans also taking cover. "Spartan!" Joshua yelled, as the Spartans shot at the roof under the uncloaked Phantom. Holli 6 looked over and Joshua motioned to the SMG. The Spartan nodded and took cover again. After a few moments, Holli 6 snatched the SMG and dashed to Joshua. "Thank you." Joshua told the Spartan. The Spartan replied by saying, "Dash for the post, from cover to cover. 5 and I will give you cover." Joshua looked at him as if he were crazy. He was a scientist. Not a marine. And he expected him to get to the gaurd post? "GO GO GO!" Joshua was startled into action as he booked it for a good sized rock. He hid behind it until he was sure 5 and 6 had the covenent teams attention and moved again, this time making it all the way to the gaurd post.

Soon after, the phantom was obliterated. Nothing was left. 5 and 6 looked at each other and said "7 to 4, im winning" 6 said. "Not for long" 5 told him, looking at the mass grunts approaching.
2 and 4 got to work. "Minimal damage, piece of cake" 4 said. They got past the door and sealed it behind them, preventing anyone from following them.
(Lets the battle begin!)

Joshua rushed into the gaurd post to find that there was 2 Spartans there, not one. He watched the two take down a phantom with the MAC Cannon controls. Joshua clutched his SMG and sat down, his back against a wall where he was safe from sight. He closed his eyes tight and caught his breath. When he calmed down enough to take in his surrounding, Joshua peeked around a corner. A hoard of Grunts were making their way towards the gaurd post. He took aim and waited until the first was close enough to take a shot. Firing in bursts, Joshua took down at least 4 grunts, the Spartans seemed to have handled the rest.

Alex sighed. The scientist made a good call. He then ran in with 3 and the scientist, moving deeper into the structure.
4 connected some wires and equipment. "Up and running, broadcast the signal now 2" she told him.
(to be clear, 5 and 4 are girls)

Mazarin:
Frank Mazarin shouted out to his comrades. "Holli 3 and 5! Give Indigo some cover! 2, 4, and 6, on me!" Holli 1, Mazarin, ordered his Actual team around. He talked to the Spartans with him. "Alright, set up a perimeter. 2 and 6, go cover the other entrance. 4, stay with me. The covenant are not to be admitted to this party."
Holli 3 and 5 were assigned to do what Indigo leader asked of them. If he said to protect some scientist, so be it.

2 started broadcasting. "ATTENTION ALL UNSC FORCES, THE COVENANT ARE ON REACH, I REPEAT, THE COVENANT ARE ON REACH". He made the broadcast. UNSC chatter began to spread like wildfire. Forces alarmed, forces mobilizing, some people in dis belief. They then got a radio message from a marine trooper squad. "This is (STATIC), we have been engaged by covenant, i repeat, the covenant are on reach"
1 and 3 looked at each other. "CLEAR THE ROOM" he ordered, they all charged in, Alex sporting a DMR, 3 a shotgun. They soon engaged and killed the covenant grunts. There were 2 elites too.
Henry looked at the Elites. "STAND CLEAR" he told them, taking out a Rocket Launcher he took with him, shooting at the Elites. Elites may be strong, but they fell quickly to the might of a rocket launcher.

EDIT: can i like put in a post to like make an intro plz? and make a scientist character too? or would you prefer one char per person?
Re: [OOC] Reaching Out
I can't play with anyone who makes a SPARTAN that has a last name. I can't play with anyone who accepts a character profile of a SPARTAN that has a last name.
SPARTANs do NOT have last names.
I will not see any responses you make, make or not it's up to you if you want to waste your time.
