Introduction
There are class rooms in the main building as well as 3 sand schools, one indoor and two outdoor. However this is a specific course, it is diffidently to get onto as the expectancy level for students is at its peak; meaning only the best of the best are accepted. There are annual trips to Hickstead where students are allowed to compete if desired in any discipline as long as they have qualified.
Students come from all over the world with they're horses to partispitate in such a fine level of education as they know employers like the quality of students from the college so are more likely to get a job in the industry. The college is situated in a area that has a lot of equestrian shows hosted nearby including western events, English events in both affiliated and non-affiliated levels.
New students come into the college each year and stay until they're course is finished. However, different cultures come together and friends are made. Dreams are fulfilled and memories are remembered.

The Story So Far... Write a Post » as written by 8 authors
It seemed a eternaty before i'd reached the carpark. I Drove slowly towards a empty space that would take the width of the mini and the horsebox, having to dodge horses as i did so. I Took a sigh of releife as i pulled the handbreak on, parking the little car and opening the door before clambering outside. I'd never been one to get the hang of getting in and out of cars in a more.. elegent mannor. After closing the door of mini i waited for mum to park up and went striat to the back of the lorry to get my little stallion out.

Pullling to a stop in the car park. I looked around nervously. All around me where horrses boxes of all shapes and sizes as well as horses. A feel of being out of place filled me. Many of these people looked like they actually had the money t be here whilest i had only just scrapped together the money meaning i relied on second hand tack most of the time. Heading poout of the car and into the trailer, I led the little grey gelding out into the car park wincing as he let out a large whine
The stablehands got out first, immediately going to the back of the trailer and were now probably waiting for Mickey to get his horses out. Neither allowed anyone but him to touch them, else you risked bites and kicks. Slowly he climbed out of the truck, moving around to the side of the black and red trailer to slip inside the side door. This got him into the front part of the trailer, where Basil was. Once he had the horse on a lead, the trailer door swung open and he led the dappled stallion out onto the cement. His horse was nearly prancing, all bunched up with nervous energy most likely. Quickly he pulled off the shipping wraps off his legs and then tied the stallion to the side of the trailer, going back in and repeating this whole process for Radley.
Almost fifteen minutes later, Andrew found himself walking towards the barn, studiously ignoring every other student that was now arriving. He had one horse on each side of him, and while Radley was being the gentleman he usually was, Basil was prancing with his head high and tucked against his chest, already attempting to show off for any mares nearby.
I Must have timed it right because the reception was emppty as i pulled the door and stepped inside, pushing my sunglasses ontop of my head and flicking my large fringe from my face. I Approached the desk where a angry looking old woman looked up, staring down her nose at me. She huffed gruffly before wining the word "Name?" at me. I Gulped a little awkwardly, hoping in this coming year i wouldnt have any problems, I Would deffinately not want to talk to this woman about them. "Um.. T'avis" I said slightly, looking at her blank face. She probably didnt understand me.. Prehaps her american accent sounded nothing remotely like mine; her mind not coping with the new cultures.
I Coughed once, putting a hand over my mouth befroe trying again "Travis.. Travis Mitchel" I Said, over-pronouncing the name so she could understand me. She looked down her nose at the papers infront of her and huffed again, placing a brown envolope on the desk before staring at me once again. I Could see her eyes were looking at the large stars that had been imbedded on my neck in black ink. I Forced a wary smile before heading back outside to Ma, Opening the brown package to reveale my room number and savvy stable number.. 'Stable 11.. Room number 69' i thought to myself, groaning inwardly as i thought about the room number.. Great, just my luck..

I could feel myself blushing as i walked towards the counter 'Can i..Umm..h-have the n-n-umbers for..Lucy brown" I just about managed to stammer trying hard to make myself understandable with my heavy irish accent. Nothing made me want to repeat the question. Her cold eyes scanned the list of packs before handing me a brown package. Tearing it open i read the sheets inside 'Stable 14..Room 13' It wasn't too bad 13 was my lucky number after all
Basil was his jumper and racer, both things they were quite good at. Radley on the other hand, was his cross country horse and hunter, since he wasn't the best at quick turns and high jumps. Andrew rode both English, since it was obviously the more difficult discipline and he was raised riding that way. Neither were very good dressage horses, but he didn't seem to mind. Dressage was a beautiful sport, elegant and precise and perfect, everything Andrew loved. But at the same time, the rider craved adrenaline and high jumps and speed.
Letting go of Radley, the horse obediently stepped into his stall and turned around, waiting for his owner to take off his lead line. Basil on the other hand, had to be led into the stall and turned, as Andrew took care not to be stepped on or shoved against the wall. He hung the ropes on the hooks next to each horses stall, and then got himself busy with checking everything out to make sure it was safe while he waited for his tack box and the horses feed.
I Walked through the little path onto the "L" shaped yard, The little stallion already seeing horses and wickering loudly to each of them, his little ears pricking. I Tied the stallion up outside stable 11 and checked my sunglasses was still on my head. After flicking my fringe out of my face and giving the stars on my neck a little scratch i looked to the stallion, Rubbing his crest as he examined the area he was to call home.
My mother was a strong, butch woman and it showed when she brought four bales of shavings stacked on the wheelbarrow like jenga blocks. "'ere you are, Lad" She said and placed them down infront of the stable door. "Just two more left, Oh, heres your fork" She added and passed the plastic shavings fork. I Smiled and nodded a thanks to her before dragging a couple of bags into the empty stable, fumbling at the plastic to tear it appart.
Letting out a deep sigh, I grabbed Sage and his tack before mking my way towards what i assumed to be the stables..According ot the map that was. The L shaped building held a familar scent. Being large and airy made it perfect for the little gelding as i led him up to his stable and realsed the headcollar, Giving him a final polo and hug before heading into the tack room and hanging up the lightweight treeless saddle and Bridle + Marigale which belonged to me

"T'ats seems to be the last of it, T'avvie" She said as she came back with my tack, the last items. I Nodded slightly and carefully took the peices of leather from her and headed in the direction of what i guessed was the tack room. After searching around for his peg i smiled and placed the GP saddle down first, the lighter Jumping saddle ontop of that with its cover on. I Only used that for compition so i didnt want it to get dusty and damaged having a hevy GP saddle ontop of it.
I Placed his flash bridle and martingale on his bridle peg and smield softly, Examing it hadnt gotten damaged in the shipping; Everything seemed in order. I Run my fingertips over the lime green bit-guards and smiled. I Quickly left and set together putting other things away, Helping Ma with the large wooden chest and putting it besides his stable door. Each stable back home had one of thease; to keep things such as boots and grooming kit in there.. just little bits and bobs that had no place.
Sighing slightly at the weight of the box, I dumped it gently outside the geldings stable. Inside was a few packs of polo's. No matter what i always needed my polos. Grabbing a packet, I slipped the white mint out and popped itinto my mouth before feeding the little gelding one. Running my fingers over his neck, I rested my head against his breathing in th horsey scent i loved. I couldn't actually believe i was here, In a school i'd always dreamed off attending, And with my favourite horse
Immediately he sent the two men off to the tack room to take care of his things, while he himself began shoveling shavings into their stalls. It didn't take long, just open a pack, dump it in, and really the horses did most the work of moving it around. During this he began to notice the other people around him, likely starting to do the same things he was. He saw the automatic drinker in the corner and made a note to talk to the school about that- he'd heard in many cases that they could be dangerous. While he was on that track he might as well talk about putting the food on the ground too, since Basil happened to be a pain in the ass and refused to eat off the ground, instead knocking the bucket over.
Stepping back out of Radley's stall, he went towards the small tack box that was now in between both horses stalls. It was where his brushes were, and obviously treats were kept inside too. Taking out a few of the peppermint apple things that his cook had made, he gave a few to both of the horses before getting out his brush box and beginning to brush Basil.

After checking he was more or less settled, I quickly grabbed the paperwork from the shelf above the passenger seat of the the box and made my way into the reception area. I dodged others quickly, frantically trying to get the necessary information I needed so I could start my life here.

"T'ats better.. Now, Where's yer key for yer room?" She asked, holding her hand out. I Took a small breath, annoyed like a little child, Boy would i be glad when she leaves. "I'll t'ke yer stuff up" She said as she took the key, heading off with long strides. I Rolled my eyes and sat back down on the floor as i stroked down his legs once, bending over the large wooden chest to organise it a little better.
I Began to mumble grumpy words in Irish, Luckily this was a international college and Ireland was a small country in the world; i highly doubted there was no one who could understand me here. I Paired up his lime green tendon boots along with his matching fetlock and over-reach boots. Lime green was his colours.. however he was a black pony; very versatile with colour combinations.

I steadied my hand on the wheel as I rolled the truck slowly over a bump down the drive of the College. The gates opened and i drove in and parked the truck with the trailer in a double parking spot. I sighed and climbed out the side of the truck and went round to the back of the trailer. I quickly tied my long blonde hair in a pony tail before lowering the ramp and undoing the back hooks as I waited for my stallion to back out of the trailer. His dark dappled grey rear end slowly edged out backwards and soon i could grab his leadrope and lead him out. His sturdy neck stretched up and out as he breathed loudly at his new surroundings. I smiled and stroked his nose. "New place boy" I said softly before undoing his trucking gear and only leaving his light blanket on. I led him towards the reception area and asked one of the people standing around to just grab him a sec as I jogged in and got my envelope barely glancing at anyone. I was stable number 12 and room number 70. I sighed and hoped I was on my own or with a boy, I didn't get along with girls often enough.
I thanked the boy holding Chicago and slowly led him to the stables whilst his head twisted every which way trying to see the other horses. I arrived at stable number 12 and saw a mom and her son tacking up a cute little Black pony. I opened the door which creaked loudly enough to send Chicago skittering backwards 3 or 4 steps staring wide eyed. "Hey you twit relax it's just wood" I said going red at the loud noise. I stroked his nose reasuringly a while letting him settle.

In the lorry following her was everything she would need over the next couple of semesters in the states, including her
beloved Polish Arabian mare, Iam.
Pulling into the car park she circumnavigated the most crowded parts, trying to avoid as much attention as possible, and
stopped in a spot large enough for her car as well as the lorry close behind. Despite having nowhere to put Iam yet,
she couldn't make her horse wait in the confines of the horsebox while she prepped. Instead she tied the flea-bitten mare
up to the side of the horsebox. One of her dads workers jumped down from the cab and she motioned him over,
"Hey, have the boys start unloading everything, and fetch I'ms a hay net. I'll run over to admin and see whats up."
With a pat on Iam's rump, Aubrey put on a floppy hat before making her way to the administration building.
Entering, she took off her sunglasses and waited for just a moment before approaching the desk. Without looking up
the receptionist asked, "Name?" To which Aubrey replied, "Claire, Aubrey." After doing a quick database search, she
looked up, handed Aubrey a packet of papers, a key and stated, "Room 17, Stall 8." Offering a quick thanks, Aubrey
left the building.
By the time she was back to the lorry it was completely unloaded. "Dale and Kenny, could you please bring everything to
the tack room for stall 8, and leave out a few bags of shavings. I'll sort out the stall myself in a minute." She walked over to her personal belongings and waved over the last worker. "Can you help me out here?" Together they brought everything to her dorm in just two trips. She didn't bother to unpack yet.
The stables here at Equus weren't as ornate as the ones back home, but the lavishness of those at her fathers farm were used as a sales tactic. Comfortable visitors meant loose pockets. But these were still high class. She was glad to see that the workers had
sliced open and found her a pitchfork to spread them with. It was quick work prepping the stall, something she's been doing for years. She has already arranged with the school to remove the water pump they provided, as her mare refused to go near anything like that. She hung one bucket on the wall of the stable and filled it with fresh water, and put a scoop of grain and a tablespoon of nutrient additives that her fathers company had formulated into another. She made her way back to Iam and untied her. Shaking the bucket, she allowed her horse to follow her voluntarily into her new stall. Once in the stall, Aubrey hung up the grain, unwrapped Iams legs, did a quick brush over, then left, locking the door behind her. She stood there for a while watching to make sure her mare was comfortable.
