The faint ringing sound of the alarm caused Marissa to groan just a bit as she cracked an eye open to check the time. 6:45...Ugh its wayy to early to be up.. The girl thought as she buried her face back into her pillow trying desperatly to hold onto sleep. Sadly the sound of the alarm ringing once more, forced Marissa up and out of her warm bed. She stretched her arms up above her head before looking across the dorm room to her sister's still sleeping form. "Ami, if I have to be up so do you." She mumbled still half asleep as she wandered over to the closet, quickly pulling out her jeans and a black hoodie. While Marissa showered and dressed for the day, her thoughts couldn't help but drift to everything that had happened before now. Images of the burning facility flashed through Marissa's mind, causing flames to spark at her fingertips. Feeling the familar warmth of the flames, Marissa groaned to herself, mumbling. "Well shit.. Alright just calm down.." She took several deep breaths shaking out her hand before the flames finally died out. Sighing a bit Marissa stared at herself in the mirror for a few more moments before she wandered back into the room, calling to her sister. "Ami, time to get up."

Ami had completely ignored the sound of the alarm clock ringing... that or she was going completely deaf and just never heard it. Yeah Marissa woke up, turned it off, she had seen that. Then she fell back asleep and probably forgot it all... No wait, if she could remember that than she didn't. Man... do I really have to wake up?

"Ami, time to get up," she heard Marissa tell her yet again.

"I'm up I'm up," she mumbled, her voice muffled by the sound of her pillow in her face as she pressed down into it. She rolled onto her back and lid out from underneath the covers, her toes dressed in knee-high socks touched the floor as she sat on the side of the bed. She rubbed her eyes and looked at her sister. Well her sister looked good, considering she was usually the first one to wake up... not that Ami was complaining about getting to sleep longer. "Morning sis," she said, as she got up and walked over to Ami, wrapping her in a sleepy hug as she walked to the bathroom. She let go, yawning and continued on her way. She brushed out her hair, that she had washed the night before, and grabbed her beige hoodie off the bathroom counter. She threw it on over her grey tank-top and tugged on a pair of jeans.

"You okay?" She asked Ami. She was now brushing her teeth and her mouth was full of toothpaste. She peaked out of the bathroom, concern on her face. She could tell Marissa looked troubled. "Cheer up, it's our first time ever going to a ... well big kids school. Hey did we ever go to elementary school?" She stared off into space, looking for the answer somewhere as she continued to search her mouth for places she missed with her toothbrush.

Alex walked around the school grounds, boredly trying to figure out what to do with the remainder of his morning. It was almost 7, so class was starting soon. "Man, so many things to do, and so little time. He peered up to the dorms, spying an open window. "Hmm.." A playful smirk caused Alex to climb up the side of the dorms to the opened window. Once he had reached it, he sat on the windowsill and looked around the room. He at first thought it was empty, but his eyes caught sight of a girl staring at herself in the mirror. "Hi there." He said, giving her a big grin. He snapped his fingers, which caused a spark and a ball of fire to pop to life in his hand. Yawning a bit, Alex leaned against the window and tossed the fireball up and down in his grasp. "Nice morning, isn't it."

(Fyi, he's at the twins' window)

Ohanzee leaned against a tree reading Under the Dome by Stephen King. He had read it four times already, but could afford no other book at the moment. Also it was ridiculously big and hard to read so it kept him occupied. He looked up and saw Alex sitting on some poor soul's windowsill. Alex and he had been in the same grade since they were quite small. He had never liked Alex all that much, mainly because he thought everyone should like him. He often tried to talk to Ohanzee, even when it was obvious he didn't like him. He decided to do a small amount of snooping. So he dropped his book into a nearby shadow (he could retrieve it whenever he liked) and then shrouded himself in shadow. To any normal observer he would be invisible and so far he had found no elementalist who could see through his shroud. He walked up behind Alex and looked into the window, he saw a girl and immediately he was embarrassed for looking in. This was one of the many reasons he didn't like Alex. Even though he had obviously just invaded this girl's personal space he seemed to care not one bit! Ohanzee ran off, deciding to let it work out without him, in the direction of English, his next class, hoping the girl may have the same class so he could talk to her.

Marissa busied herself making her bed, then her sisters while she listened to Ami talk. She didn't really respond to what was asked, till her sister asked about them going to elementry school. "No...I only really remember Jean teaching us.." She shrugged once, sighing just a bit. Marissa brushed a lock of black hair away from her eyes as she looked up to the window. Her eyes widned just a bit as she saw a boy sitting on the window sill. She stumbled backwards, tripping over a bag that was laying on the floor, causing her to land hard on the ground. She blinked several times before calling out to her sister in a rather squeaky voice. "Ami!" Her gaze however, caught sight of the fire ball bouncing in his hand and she tilted her head in slight confusion.

Ami finished rinsing her mouth of the toothpaste. "Oh," she muttered to Marissa and pushed her hair back with a white headband. "Yeah I guess so." There was a moment of silence and the Ami heard her sister stumbling over things and land on the floor. She heard her shout her name and Ami's senses went into high alert. They couldn't have been found could they? She dashed out of the bathroom and saw the person Marissa was looking at. Person, window, intruder. She narrowed her eyes and put her hands out in front of her, sending a powerful wave of compressed, wind-like air in his direction to knock him from the dorm window. Then she noticed Marissa's confused stare and the fireball in his hands. Without having time to take it back, she redirected the wind and it hit the glass of the open window above him. The glass shattered and rained around him, but it seemed to have missed him. "Ooops," Ami muttered, putting a hand to her heart. She looked at Marissa and then the boy... then to the Marissa and then to the boy. "Um excuse me, but who are you? And why are you at our window?"

Alex's eyes widened when Ami blasted wind at him. "Hey!" He ducked, and shook some of the glass that had fallen on him. "Geez. A guy goes to say hello and he gets attacked." He mumbled. "Um excuse me, but who are you? And why are you at our window?" He stood and bowed slightly. "Alexander Saito. Pyromaniac, at your service." He grinned, tossing the fireball he had into the air, letting it evaporate. "And I was bored..So I came to say hi." His grin grew as he told them why he decided to bug them, and he began to pace on the windowsill. "You're going to think I'm crazy, because I am. But don't get all freaked out by it. I'm not mental or anything, just a little nutty."

Marissa's gaze never left the fireball till it evaporated. She finally turned her gaze to the boy, hearing him say his name was Alexander. "Do you randomly pop into peoples windows offten?" Marissa questioned quietly, as she pushed herself to up moving to stand beside her twin sister. Her gaze never left the male, though she was curious about him. They'd always been told they were the only ones who could control the elements like that, yet here was someone else acting as if it was nothing. A slight frown came to her lips for a moment, before she leaned over whispering quietly to her sister. "Ami...Was I seeing things? Or was he really just playing with a fireball?"

"No... I think he was really playing with a fireball," Ami whispered back to Marissa, standing closer to her. "Maybe... maybe we can trust him," she told her.

Figuring the boy probably felt strange being left out of their conversation (like the girls didn't already feel strange enough with him pacing around outside their window sill) Ami turned her attention back to him. She didn't know if they could trust him. What if he was sent to take them back? Ami wasn't going to let that happen. The only way to know was to ask. "Sorry about drilling you with questions here," she said to him, crossing her arms. Her eyes narrowed and she glared at him coldly, "but how can you do that; that fire thing?"

Ohanzee walked a good ways away before he heard the crash of breaking glass. He looked back and groaned, causing a freshman next to him to scream and run away, he then started sprinting back the way he had come. He saw Alex standing at the window shacking glass off of him. Ohanzee walked up behind him to look into the window. There were now two girls both of which looked rather mad, frightened, and confused at the same time. He dropped his Shadow Shroud, slowly so as to create a better effect, and calmly and quietly said "If Alex is bothering you ladies I can take him to our next class." He hated talking to new people but Alex really did seem to outdo himself this time.

"Sorry about drilling you with questions here, but how can you do that; that fire thing?" Alex looked at the two girls confusingly. "What fire thing? You mean this?" He snapped his fingers again, causing another fireball to appear in the palm of his hand. He tossed it around for a few seconds before blowing on it. The fireball grew larger and thinned out, turning into a ring. "I've been able to do this all my life. A lot of students here have elemental powers. It's pretty common." Alex flung the ring out the window, and quickly turned around. A second fireball snapped to life in his hands, and he was getting ready to throw it, when Ohanzee appeared in front of him, causing him to jump and fall onto the carpet in the room. "Ow..Hey Ohanzee! What the hell! You scared the shit outta me!" "If Alex is bothering you ladies I can take him to our next class." Alex looked at the other boy with an annoyed glance. "I'm not bugging them, I'm just introducing myself. Big difference my friend."

Marissa frowned for a moment as she watched Alex toy with the fire. "Do..." She paused before leaning close to her sister, whispering to her once more. "Mark told us we were the only ones that could do this...Now we've stumbled onto a whole school?.." Marissa was more then a little unsettled. She could already feel the familar warmth of fire sparking at her fingertips as she took several deep breaths, trying to calm herself. Seeing another boy appear from seemingly no where, her eyes widned just a bit before she stared between the two. Hearing his remark, Marissa bit her lip for a moment before replying. "He's not bothering...Scaring the holy hell out of? Sure he's done that." She then turned away from both boys, scooping up the bag that she'd fallen over before returning to her sisters side, continuing to watch the two. "Oh..I almost forgot. My names Rissa, and this is my twin, Ami."

Diamond was laid back, stretched out on the comfortable leather couch. He was reading a book, out of habit having it close to his eyes despite his glasses. A basic MP3 player channeled soft rock through a set of headphones. No one else was about in the lounge. The school, and the world in a way, was lacking in 'singular' people to populate it. The corridors were silent, most students had already disappeared off to wherever their lessons took them. Diamond was awaiting the new arrivals, he was taking it upon himself to assist on their first day. After all he knew the school intimately and no doubt studied their the longest. Since before he could remember the school had been his home and he didn't particularly mind. Opportunities to help people appeared often and that was enough for him.

The common room was shared and the main hub of the dormitories, to get to other floors the easiest path was through the common room. Although the corridors that held the the male and female rooms spilt in different directions and had stairways at their far ends. The couch on which Diamond was reclining had a view down the girl's corridor and so he could keep an eye out for the girls. His retreat to his book was broken by a sharp sound piercing though his quiet music. He sat up sharply, pulling his headphones out, alert. It sounded like shattering glass coming from the girl's corridor. He quickly stood, laying down his book, leaving his headphones dangling from his pocket. He walked down the girls corridor, alert for any unusual noises. He was slightly worried. Several assault attempts had been made upon the school, usually by a someone searching for an powered individual. Also at times there have been fully powered battles between students, which usually resulted in damage to the school and unfortunately one or more deaths.

The tall boy stopped next to a room, hearing voices from inside. One of them sounded slightly familiar. He also noted that the number corresponded with the new girls. Cautious he knocked on the door.
"Is everything alright? May I come in" He inquired loud enough to penetrate the wood, sounding official which in a way he was. The teachers favored him and although many students severally disliked him for that it gave him authority and power. His hand rested on the door handle, preparing to open the door if there was absolutely no response.

Ohanzee knew he had entered needlessly now. He could see the slight sparks flying around the girl named Rissa's hand. "Hello Rissa and Ami. My name is Ohanzee Chayton, although you may call me Han." He then turned to Alex "I realize that. But you most admit seeing a boy sitting on a girls window ledge and then hearing breaking glass..... It would set anyone on high alert." He looked at the girls wondering what to say next, he really was terrible at talking to people! "I can see that you are a Pyro Marissa *he gestured at her hand* but what is your element, Ami?" This was always his fall back when he ran out of topics. He had read a lot on the elements and so could normally keep a topic going for a good while.

"Wind and earth," Ami said quietly in a monotone, still slightly shocked that there were other people here like her. She shook herself from her thoughts and smiled a little at Ohanzee. "I'm the one who um, broke the window. With wind ya' know." She saw Marissa pick up her bag and suddenly Ami was brought back to the realization that this was, after all, a school. She ran over to her bed and slid her backpack out from underneath it and clutched it over her shoulder, then went pack to her sister's side. "So," she said, putting a hand in her pocket and addressed their two new acquaintances and then her sister, "let's go to our classes? Don't want to be late so early in the year."

She was already walking over to the door and turning the doorknob, not having heard the person on the other side because she has the tendancy to just tune things out, and almost ran into him after she opened it. "Ooops sorry," she said to him. "If you're here about the glass I'll clean it up."

The sound of breaking glass caused Sarah to look up from her laptop. She'd had an hour of sleep last night, trying to finish this work in time for today's lesson, and thought she was mishearing. She put down her energy drink breakfast, got up and leant out of her window, spotting the source of the noise: Alex and Han at the new girls' room. Sarah scowled at them, despite being too far away for them to see her facial expressions. It wasn't right. She had worked so hard to create her reputation, and these girls walked right in and people fawned over them. Even those two down there were-

There was a loud crunch in the other direction. Sarah turned her head and saw... AHH! Flying car! As soon as she noticed, the car fell back down onto the road where it had been parked. Alarmed, she ducked down and sat against the wall. Near everyone had powers here. She had been normal so far, but recently, metal had started... acting when she got emotional. Which in her life, was a lot. She had kept it secret, but worried someone would find out. Calming down, she went back to her computer to check the work... oh great. She'd snapped her memory stick in half.

'...Well, I'll just get someone who owes me to do it' she thought, as she started gathering stuff for the day.

Waiting for her sister to gather her things, she shook out her right hand trying to get rid of the small flames that sparked there. Rissa fell silent, allowing her sister and the other two to do most of the talking untill she noticed Ami grab her bag, moving to the door. "You two coming?" She questioned quietly with a glance back at Alex and Han. Not seeing her sister stop, Rissa ran right into her blinking a bit before she looked up to see someone standing in the doorway. "Sorry sis. And uh, yeah we'll get the glass cleaned up."

"Man Ohanzee, you need to learn to relax and trust me for once." Alex said, playfully nudging him. "You two coming?" Alex jumped up from the carpet he was still sitting on and nodded. "Yeah, I'm coming." When both girls stopped though, he looked over their heads. "Oh. Hey Diamond. Where have you been man? You missed a whole damn show." He laughed. Alex nudged Marissa and nodded out the window. "I'll see you guys later. I've gotta go see a teacher on something." He waved goodbye to Diamond and turned back to the window. "I'd move if I were you Ohanzee!" He shouted, jumping out the window. In mid-air, he gave both girls a wink and snapped his fingers. A burst of flames sparked to life around his feet, creating a platform that he stood on. It began to fly up into the air, but because Alex didn't concentrate for very long, it evaporated before he got too high. Shit.. He fell, and tried to start up his fire again. "Come on!" The flames popped to life, right as he hit the ground, which caused a small explosion.

Alex had made a crater on the school grounds, and he was sitting in the middle of it, legs crossed, completely unharmed. He looked around and tapped his fingers against his leg. "Huh..I'm gonna guess...A month of detention? Maybe two."

When the two started moving to the door Ohanzee considered going to their class together. Then he heard Alex say Diamond. Although Ohanzee didn't mind Diamond, in fact he was one of the few people he could stand talking to, he didn't want to get in any trouble what so ever. He was there on a scholarship and that could be yanked at any time if he got in trouble or his grades dropped. So he immediately dropped down below the height of the window and put his Shroud up again. He then ran off to class, going around the crater Alex had made, and decided to hope the entire thing blew over.

Diamond stumbled back as the door was whisked open and a browned haired girl almost stepped into him. His apology echoed hers, causing him to smile kindly. Although he was lost when she continued on about the glass. The situation was quickly recovered as the tall boy took in the room over the heads of the girls as Marissa ran into her sister and also blurted an apology about some glass. Most noticable was the shape of the firey haired Alex and another boy on the window sill. A frown crossed Diamond's face as Alex shouted a greeting and the other boy disappeared quickly. Diamond wasn't too keen on Alexander, the pyro was careless and generally the opposite of the withheld blonde. He sighed as the other made a large deal of his exit, another reason he didn't enjoy the boy's company, he was a show off.

Ale's exit did bring two things to Diamond's attention, first the quick to move stranger was Ohanzee and that the window frame seemed to lack a window pane. He ignored the now absent vistors and instead turned to the girls. Alex and Han were free to do what they wanted. The blonde smiled at the twins, greeting them
"I'm sorry about him, I can keep him away from your window in the future." He was interrupted by a large set of exclaimations from outside followed by a suitable explosion. Diamond sighed and pushed past the girl to the window muttering an "excuse me." Leaning out he spotted a rather noticable crater below that wasn't adorning the prisine lawn previously. He made no comment on the seemingly carefree figure in the center and returned his attention back the room.
"Sorry for the invasion of your room." He began "New people generally cause a stir. I'm Diamond, allow me to show you to your first classes." He smiled at them as he led through the doorway.

Marissa blinked, waving goodbye to Alex as he left. She arched her right brow just a bit as she watched his exit, followed by the sound of an explosion outside the window. "Well...He's intresting.." She mumbled to herself, stepping aside as Diamond made his way over to the window. Marissa crossed her arms over her chest, leaning her shoulder agaisnt the doorframe beside her sister while she watched the male for a moment. So far, her impression of both Alex and Han was not a very good one. Alex just confused her, the way he seemed to use his powers without a care in the world, and Han seemed just a bit more nervous then herself. And she'd lived in a single room most of her life. Letting out a soft sigh, she turned her attention to Diamond once more, hearing his explanation followed by him leading the way out of the room. She waited for her sister to follow out first before she questioned. "Diamond, we met you the other day right? In the office I think it was. Or am I confusing you with someone else?"

Alex had left the crater, being escorted by a teacher. He wasn't happy. But his grumpy state would pass sooner or later. He caught sight of Diamond looking out of the girl's window, and groaned. Damn it, I'm never gonna hear the end of this..Stupid move you moron! The teacher looked at him skeptically, but continued on his way, Alex right behind him, into the office. The crater he had made was already fixed, an earth user having filled in the giant hole. It wasn't as if Alex meant to blow up the school grounds, he just had the attention span of a squirrel. The teacher motioned for Alex to take a seat, which he unwillingly did. "Two months of detention for your little stunt Mr. Saito. And I will be informing your parents about this as well. "Perfect.." He mumbled under his breath.

Diamond led the girls out of the room, pausing a moment to let them secure their room. He began to walk downt the corridor, passing through the commmon room and down to the rather grand staircase. He answered Marissa's question on the way
"Well, I was in the office when you were," he began "I wouldn't say met, we were only introduced. So I do know your names." He grinned at them "I sort of take responsibilty for all the new people. Its just something I enjoy to do." The group of them stood in a small atrium room, a replica of the much grander entrance hall. A gold edge red carpet ran down the stairs and spilt off in each direction, tapestries and paintings adorned the walls and the far end of the room hosted a great window. Unfortunately the view from the window was not particularly grand, merely the same everywhere else. He turned to the right and began to head down the corridor, past other classes already in progress. "I'm in the same class as you, we have a power lesson first." He smirked "You're going to enjoy this I think." He pushed the door open and let them enter.
