Introduction

Before there was anything else, there was madness.

Imagine an ocean of infinite depth without any surface, comprised of a chorus screaming out every conceivable thought, idea, and emotion all at the same time, constantly and without cease. Such was the nature of the Astral Sea.

There was no beginning, nor will there ever be an end, for the chaos of the Astral Sea meant an endless state of constant change so absolute that the very concept was all but meaningless, and time was always a mortal device utilized for the measurement of change.
There was only madness, and an endless discord of chaos consistent with it's infinite variations of infinite concepts.

And yet, it is an inevitable eventuality that when enough voices are raised in shouting any and every possible sound, that at some point some of those voices will say the same thing at the same time. And thus, Harmony was born.

And it is the nature of Harmony that the resonant voices speaking together will be stronger than those speaking against. So it was that these harmonized voices united and, one by one, subdued their neighbors until there was silence and stillness born of a unified sound.

And thus did the cosmos come to be.

This is largely being used as a backup storage area for a work of mine that is rather expansive. I don't particularly mind anyone else creating characters and participating in a collaborative written effort in this, however I do insist that you follow a few specific rules to help ease any frustrations and complications that may arise.

1. Any characters created within this setting are, unless otherwise noted and confirmed with written approval and consent from the player of the character, owned and controlled solely by the player of the character. Under no circumstances will any character be utilized in any capacity without the players express written permission.

2. The worlds, settings, environments, etc within this setting are owned and controlled solely and entirely by myself. Under no circumstances is anyone else allowed to utilize or edit the content of this without my express written permission. Any attempts to monetize or otherwise profit off of my work will be met with full legal retaliation.

3. There will be no discussion or argument made as to any conflicts that occur between players upon this forum. I take no responsibility and accept no liability for any discontent any players may have with either the content of this creation, or the content created by their fellow players. If a disagreement arises that cannot be resolved peacefully and without my interference, all parties involved in in the disagreement will be disallowed from further involvement in this work.

Crystal Spires by Mr.Bubbles_Esquire

Rising high above the shell of the Material Sphere, these spires are formed in a fashion similar to stalactites. As Aether Leeches out of the material Sphere, it will sometimes crystalize upon contact with the shell, thus the spires.

The Break by Mr.Bubbles_Esquire

Also referred to as The Void, The Ashfall, Purgatory, and the Between. This is an empty space between The Dregs and The Crystal Spires, where Aether passing out of the Material sphere begins to fade and decay back into Anima.

The Dregs by Mr.Bubbles_Esquire

Often referred as "The convergence" The Dregs function as a sort of filter for the Aether that passes through it. That Aether that is dense and stable tends to get stuck in the Dregs, which is why you can find so many Famous landmarks from history here.

The outermost layer of the Core, the Shed is where the Aether from the Heart at the deepest layer eventually breaks back down into Anima. As a result, it tends to resemble a decaying and deteriorating series of islands that break away from the layer below
