A girl in a white dress with a sheathed sword walked in and observed the room. "Is she here?" She asked. "I could've swore I saw her here... guess I- Oh!" She was surprised to her see her comrade amongst the sea of people cheering and celebrating. She walked up to Beatrix and stood there and put he hand on her heart and bowed. "General Beatrix, do you remember me? It is me, Saber." She said, seeming a bit uneasy. "I wonder if she is still mad about that day... it couldn't be helped. I tried but I chickened out, so it wouldn't surprise me if she hates me."

Roxanna came over to Saber. "Riesz- er I mean, Saber, when did you get here?" She asked, surprised to her sister here.

Saber hugged Roxanna. "I witnessed the battle, but I wanted to see your strength, but I saw Beatrix, and I had to see her again... remember I told you that we served in Maldaenna together?" She asked.

Roxanna nodded. "Of course, you told me many stories about how you two were inseparable. I wish I had a friend like you guys were."

Roxanna looked down but her sister put her hand on her shoulder and looked her in the eyes. "You'll find that friend, you have to find them though. Time will tell." She said, her sister just smiled back.



On the other continent a ways from Aisen was Valia, a large kingdom ruled by powerful, royal, and true kings and queens. It also was Reagan's hometown. A man in a white coat of armor and pants walked all over the castle. "Where is Reagan?" He frantically asked. "I can't find her at all, she was supposed to return four days ago, this is insanity."

A soldier in blue walked up to him. "Lord Klein, a word from the king. He wants you to make haste to his throne room now." He said, and quickly returned to his post.

The prince walked through the grand hall into the throne room where his mother and father sat atop their marvelous thrones. "Mother, Father, you requested me?"

The King nodded. "It is about Reagan... she seems to have stopped contact with us. We fear that she is... dead." He said, looking down, but a strange look on his face, hinting that he may have been lying.

The younger ruler was astonished. "What do you mean!?" He asked. "How could she be dead!? She was the general of the Dragon Wings, there is no way this can happen. You're lying I know it!" He barked at his parents.

The queen grimaced at this intolerable behavior. "How dare you accuse your father of lying to you!? You'd better be ashamed of yourself, go to your quarters, your father and I have to talk, we are done here." She said, disgusted at her son.

"But mother, father-"

The Queen interrupted, "No more Klein! To your room, now!"

Klein looked at his parents and turned, he couldn't believe the lies he was fed, he could never believe his sister had died, she had gone through far worse, there was something suspicious going on, and he was going to figure it out. He slammed the door to his room and looked outside, the moon glistened on the nearby ocean. "I am going to Aisen tonight, that is where she was at, she must still be there." He said and jumped out the window and onto the lower roof and continued to use his Dragoon skills to jump down the building, trying to avoid detection and make his way as a stow-a-way to a port in Aisen.

Saber saw how much Beatrix was worried and how happy she was to see her. "Thank you, Beatrix," was all she could muster to say. "I feel like I am to blame too, I stood there, helpless as can be." She said, her face trying to hold in the tears. "But I thank you for your forgiveness." Saber then tried to regain her composure. "I fear I must go though... I am needed back at Maldaenna, shall I tell the Chancellor about this encounter, or keep it a secret?" Saber asked.

Reagan walked over to Phoenix, looking at the board about the hidden village. "Could it be?" She asked. "The village of Spellfall?" Phoenix looked at her, intrigued by the name. "Oh, Spellfall, a town where magic is forbidden, my brother, Klein, spoke of it frequently, always saying how he wanted to go there... How I miss Klein, he was always there for me, until my parents sent me on this stupid mission." Reagan then closed her eyes. "Hopefully I can see him again, everything here is different on Aisen here, then from the continent of Valia. Aisen is much more attuned to bartering and farming, as opposed to Valia, a manufacturing area, making them a much more battle-ready land... Sometimes that isn't always for the better..."

The Salve-Maker came up to Roshia and Raine. He was holding Midnight. "Your cat was around me while I was sitting, I thought I should return him to you." He said, handing Midnight back to Roshia, he purred and licked his paw. "Now, excuse me, I have a question for you, would you mind testing out a new compounding mixture I have been creating?" He looked at his notes. "It should be a battle-salve, perhaps it can cure perhaps it can damage, I want your help in creating this with me, as an experiment, you will be rewarded with some money if you choose to help."

As Klein left the continent of Valia, he shortly reached Aisen, many hours had passed since he left, but his journey would take him across Aisen if he could find his sister it would all be worth it.

The Salve-Maker looked confused. "I had placed some Echo Herbs in it for extra effect, but the main effect of those is to cure Silence curses, perhaps Midnight had befallen a Silence curse before you met him, Roshia." He said, kneeling down to Midnight. "Do you remember being cursed perhaps?"

Saber stood up after a while of sitting and drinking her wine. "I am afraid I must go." She picked up her blade and sheathed it. "Till we meet again, Beatrix..." She smiled and walked out of the tavern, her trusty companion, Warg, following her back to Maldaenna, along the way, she saw a girl in a wolf pelt with a bow that seemed to be crafted out of bones, a tail pelt containing her arrows. "Is that the Ranger girl?" She wondered as she continued onward.

Reagan was surprised to hear an answer asking her more about her family. "My brother trained as a Dragon Knight but had the ability to cast magic, but due to his frailty, he couldn't be much of a Dragon Knight, and he trained as a mage, but his powers differed from that of other mages in the castle." Reagan stopped for minute. "I am not boring you, am I?" She asked. Phoenix was smiling, he seemed to like the story, he very much wanted to meet her brother, he sounded like an interesting person. "I hear Spellfall is a town where special magics are practiced, but who knows if it still exists."

The girl in the rabbit pelt looked at Saber then headed off in Lake Shear's other entrance, the same entrance she watched Arianna and Joseph go in. "Perhaps I should see what is happening, it isn't a good idea to travel this place at night, but that girl in white claims to be a knight from Maldaenna, so I hope she fares okay." The girl then dashed towards Lake Shear.
