New York City. Described as the most popular city in the world with over 8.406 people living there. The city offers unique cultures and special landmarks and a beautiful city. It also offers many different jobs to best suit a person's potential and wants.
With thousands of people roaming the streets each day, it’s easy to accidently bump into someone. This may turn out to be nothing and you may forget it after an apologetic “sorry”, but sometimes it can result in something worse. Maybe a bad cold has been going around in the schools and in your work building and you happen to get it. A few days of rest and some medication will definitely help though.
But… what if it’s not exactly what you thought it would be?
Something happened at the beginning of the year. It was flu and cold season, and people had been getting sicker than usual. They thought it was just the regular cold and shrugged it off, but soon people began having seizures and had to take visits to the hospital. Doctors would do all they could, but they were confused and didn’t know what was wrong with the patients. About a week after suspesions of this cold, the patient would die. The doctors said that this virus affected the brain and central nervous system, leaving people with the inability to fight off the disease and the disease quickly taking over the persons body before death.
As of the second month after the outbreak, one-twelve of the population was infected with a 25-30% mortality rate. The death toll reached 2.5 million in the U.S. alone and 26 million worldwide.
Doctors and scientists determined the virus was spread by fomites, but they still can’t understand where it came from and why. Scientists have been attempting to make a vaccine, but so far they have nothing. Cops, agents, scientists and all different jobs and teams in the medical field are still at work to try and get people better, but all other jobs are put to a hold and schools are closed to avoid the increased spread of the disease. People are advised to stay in their homes, and if they have to go out for whatever reasons they must wear a protection mask and try to cover up as much skin as they possibly can with clothing. Grocery shops and markets are still open to the public, but no one is running them and the food source is quickly going down. Ships of water come and people must line up for hours in order to get water.
Scientists say that after a year, half of the worlds population will be infected and gone. After 2-3 years… they don’t know where that leaves us.

- The virus is passed as easily as it is to pass a regular cold from one person to the other. People often get the disease mixed up with a common cold at first and that’s what mostly leads to the deaths because the person doesn’t seek help before it’s too late.
A person will begin to cough, get a runny nose, clammy hands, fever, headaches; likes any other common cold. These symptoms usually last for a day or two before they worsen. The person will then get nauseous, puking about three-four times an hour. They will become sweaty, but they will shiver and feel cold. Chapped lips and dilated pupils may occur at this stage as well.
The person will then “zone out” often. They will begin to be absent-minded and forgetful. They won’t respond to someone who is directly talking to them unless that person gets their full attention somehow. They will often forget where they are and how they got there. Breakdowns may also occur at this stage.
The next stage is the seizures. The person will fall to the ground and have many uncontrollable seizures per-hour. They will often black-out during these times, but not all the time. There isn’t much to do once it comes to this point. The person may stop breathing during a seizure and eventually die. They may also just pass away after a seizure or before them at any time.
And that leaves us with the final stage. Death.

Hello there. My name is Elizabeth, but you can call me Eliza, Lizzie, Liz, Beth, Bethany or simply by my username if you wish. I hail from a city we like to call Cowtown down here in Canada. So, my time zone is Mountain Time (MT). I have simply always loved writing. Others use to moan and groan whenever we went into Language Arts class, but I would be excited cause L.A. = Writing... right? Anyway, I'm not really into modern TV shows and movies. I'm a big fan of the X-Files and Marilyn Monroe, if you haven't already noticed. So, this isn't required, but I would love if you guys would share a bit about yourselves in the OOC chat just so we can all get to know each other a bit better and maybe even talk about some common interests. :)
♣GENERAL STUFF♣
This is just the general stuff that we all know about but often need to be reminded of it sometimes. No Mary-Sues/Gary-Stus. Perfection is boring. Make your character have flaws and fears. I will not accept a character whom is overly perfect. And trust me, I read through everything when a CS is submitted. I'm not very picky about characters though, so don't feel like your CS's need to be perfect either. Although if you likey to impress the GM, you'll make it as neat and pretty as you possibly can. Eye-candy is good. Good writing is also good. No god-modding either. Discuss with another Rper if you chose to want to punch their character in the face or bite their arm or something before hand.
♠RESERVATIONS & FCs♠
Ah, my favourite part. To start off, this is first come, first serve. I will probably never make a competing RP because I find it unfair to someone who works hard on a character and then doesn't even get the part in the end. To reserve, you must 1: Give me an appropriate FC 2: Tell me what their occupation was/is 3: Give me a still picture of your FC, not a gif. (I will make it into a kinda looking circle like my FC up there) 4: Give me a gif of your character that is 500 in width. I will crop the height down so it matches everyone else' and is even with the RP design. 5: Give me three traits. 6: You can either choose to give me some basic info of your character in your reservation or sometime after. All of these will be added to this cover page. Also, I want to make sure the gender ratio is somewhat even. That means if there is too many female characters at the time, I will have to reject your idea for making another female character and come back to you if a spot ever opens for a new female character (this is vice-versa). You have 48 hours (2 days) to send in WIP and the rest of the time before the RP starts to finish up your CS. If your character isn't complete by this time, I will PM you a warning to hurry up and get 'er done. If there is no reply, your character will automatically be booted out of the RP. Please, in advance, tell me if you are going somewhere and/or can't be around a device to allow you to get onto here so I know and everyone else knows.
♦LITERACY♦
I want at least 350+ words per post. That's all. No less. Remember, that is the minimum. There really is no maximum. Try to also make your grammar appropriate English. We all make mistakes, so of course I'll accept some grammar issues and mistakes in your posts but don't make it an over-load of grammar issues. Also, just make sure not to make your posts so long that we get bored reading and skip over some parts... because nobody likes that. More than 350 words would be highly acceptable and I encourage it. Anything to make GM happy, right? ;)
♣HAVE FUN♣
Last, but not least, have fun with it. Go bonkers. Make sure to make everyone else feel included and welcomed and feel free to ask me or anybody else questions if you need to. There are no stupid questions. Remember that, dearies. I will gladly answer any of your questions or concerns through the OOC chat or PM. Don't bully your fellow RP members and be kind. If I see any rude comments or inappropriate behavior, you and your character are automatically booted out of the RP. No buts. I don't tolerate bullies. But that will never happen so I'm not worried at all.

Because of me just wanting to get the info page and layout over with since I have been working on this for four straight hours today, I forgot one important detail. All Characters Will be Immune To The Disease. That means all characters that are made and entered into the RP will not get infected by the disease and catch it like any normal person without the immunity would. This is so our characters can go on in the RP without any restrictions or deaths. If you, for some reason, want your character to not be immune, please feel free to say so and explain why. I have no problem with some characters being immune and some not. But remember to please say something if you do wish for your character to not be immune or else I will automatically think they cannot catch this disease. I would add this to the title page, but I've been working very hard on the layout and more text will only stretch it out and get all the pictures out of place and yada yada yada. So, I will put it here.
