He opens up easily to people that he enjoys, but generally stays mostly silent and away from those he doesn't like, or that he doesn't know very well. A lot of times he will act as a loner, he doesn't like to get too attached to anyone because he is always moving on to the next town once he feels his job is finished in the current one.

Quirks/Flaws:
John has a very random, and powerful case of depression. He can be perfectly fine and happy, and then a second later feel completely down and wanting to just shut everyone out.

Weapons/Items if any: His main choice of weapon is his Katana that he wears strapped onto his back, his back up weapon is a Tanto (Basically a dagger in comparison to a katana) up his left sleeve. He also knows some forms of martial arts, and can use a bow if need be, but rarely does.

History:

John was born in Delaware, living a pretty standard life. He went to school, helped on his family's farm, until he hit sixteen. Around this time he started learning heavily about the growing rebellion and the heat growing between the Colonists and the British. He participated in these random acts, even participated in the Boston Tea Party. Once the Revolutionary War broke out, John tried to serve in as many battles as he could, and was under the command of George Washington many times.

After the war he settled down with a woman he started to fall in love with. She was very odd, as she would refuse to go out during the day, and would usually sleep until night time. One night when he didn't go out with her she was out way longer than she would usually be. He went out to look for her and eventually found her laying on the ground in front of a man. John didn't know who he was, but he snuck up, took the man's knife right off of his belt, and killed him with it. He picked up the girl and brought her back to his house. He laid her on her bed and checked her pulse, it wasn't there. His depression overcame him, he ran to the edge of town and jumped off of a cliff and closed his eyes. Before he hit the ground someone caught him. He opened his eyes and saw the girl. She explained the whole vampire thing, and how that man that attacked her was a hunter who had caught her by surprise. John asked to become a vampire so he could always be by her side and protect her. So the deed was done, she watched over him for the next few months and helped him control his hunger. Then one night she just disappeared, he never knew if she died or just ran off.

Now during the present day, he walks among the Earth as a self proclaimed neutral between vampires and hunters. He has acted as a wandering protector, he seeks out injustice and stops it, he feels this is the path that he was meant to be on and that he asked for. He is headed in the direction of an unfamiliar city, though he has heard of this place called the Penumbra Bar. He calls ahead to rent out an apartment and goes on his way.

So begins...

John slowly opened his eyes, sitting in the back seat of the chauffeur's car whom had picked him up from the airport. He pulled out his phone and pulled up the GPS app on it, he could see that the Penumbra Bar was just a few blocks over.

"'Scuse me sir, could you let me out here?" He asked of the chauffeur. John got out of the car, told him to drop his suitcase off at the apartment, and gave him the money he owed and a tip. Walking to the sidewalk in the direction of the bar, John checked the time before putting his phone back into his pocket. Midnight. Perfect time for everything. He thought to himself. John observed all the people he passed by, there weren't many out now because it was so late, a lot of them were vampires. He could read guilt, hunger, pain, mischief, and other assorted emotions, all over their faces. Stopping for a second before continuing, he looked up at the moon. It'll be full in a few days, guess I'll find out then if vampires are the only creatures that live in this city.

The closer he got to the bar, the more the air smelled of blood. He heard yelling a block over and picked up his pace. The first thing his eyes caught as he round the corner was guy with a girl in one arm, and one at his side. Then John noticed the blade on his arm, the blood that dripped from it, and the noise that was coming from the bar.

John felt an urge to draw his sword, but didn't just yet. "So, uh, you wanna tell me what's going on here?" He said to the man as he walked closer.

Kyros examined the Figure that was Approaching him. "Play nicely" He thought to himself keeping in mind he was Almost face to face with a What seemed to be a Vampire who like to use Swords. "Long story short, A hunter walked into the Bar." Kyros hesitated before continuing. "Dragging the girl you see in my arms by her hair. Simply He abused her Repetitively upon entry and Told me she was Bait for Vampires. I reacted and Took the girl, This one Followed saying I could Take her to her Apartment. She's Started Coughing up Blood just Moments ago... And I believe she has Some Internal Bleeding, Now she's Fallen Unconscious." Kyros Finished Fairly Intimidated by this Approaching Vampire. "A sword....Controlled Blood Lust? Gotta Hand it to him He's Smart." Kyros Made Note of this and Held his Facial Expression as a Straight Emotion less Face.

"I'm not looking for a Fight" Kyros Thought. "You've Examined the Sounds I presume and Can put together The Puzzle of why there's Blood on my Blade." Kyros Spoke Clearly to the man. "Any day your Ready to Lead the way to The closest Hospital" Kyros Muttered to Keira with his eyes Fixated On The Vampire.

Keira watched as Kyros confronted the vampire that just approached them, when he turned to Keira and asked her to take them to the nearest hospital. "Trust a hunter to think the hospital was a good idea." She looked at the girl, "The hospital will ask questions, questions we can't answer." She smiled at the vampire. "Basically, he just stabbed a hunter, making him bleed in a room of vampires, if one attacks the other reacts." She looked around the immediate area. "Where's Keeva?" She walked to the door of the bar and walked in just as Malice grabbed hold of Keeva and pulled her back. "What are you doing?!" She yelled.

Keeva was powerless against Malice, she was older and hence stronger, but it didn't stop her from slapping and kicking her as hard as she could. She then heard her sister yelling and tried to make herself seem the victim. "Help me, she's insane!"

"The girl is right" John said to the group "There isn't much time to debate about what to do, because we have someone here who is dieing, but the hospital isn't the right place to go." He pushed with his words, trying to get them moving. Then the girl who spoke to him went into the bar after someone named 'Keeva.' Speaking to the man in front of him "Listen, this girl you saved isn't going to be around much longer to appreciate your good deed, your best bet is to trust me on this. I just got an apartment in this city, I'll have the chauffeur come pick you up and take you there. Just lay her on the bed or a couch or something, and I'll be back soon with some medical supplies." John whipped out his phone and called the chauffeur "I need you to pick me up at the bar, right now."

A few minute passed and a black limo pulled up. The driver's window rolled down. As John handed him three $100 bills he said "Take these two to my apartment as fast as you can, let them in and make sure the door locks when you leave. The girl is feeling very sick, and she should rest, very soon." He turned to face the man again, "It's your choice whether you trust me or not, but again, it's in your best interest to do so, I'm going to go see if anyone in the bar is a doctor."

John walked in just as things were settling down, he came up to the group which now included the girl who spoke to him. Tensions looked like they were flaring as one girl got shoved by another, and they shouted back and forth, but he wouldn't wait for them to settle it, "I apologize for cutting into whatever is the problem, but I really need to know if any one you are associated with a hospital. I really need to get to one, and not for myself" he spoke while looking across the line of people sitting at the bar.

"Take these two to my apartment as fast as you can, let them in and make sure the door locks when you leave. The girl is feeling very sick, and she should rest, very soon." The man said to the Driver. "It's your choice whether you trust me or not, but again, it's in your best interest to do so, I'm going to go see if anyone in the bar is a doctor." Kyros Nodded, opening the door of the Limo Jumping in with the Girl Still in his Arms. He sat down Holding her Still not wanting to put her down In case that would make her Situation Worse He braced for Turns and Looked down on her sadly. "Please, We're ready to go" Kyros said to the Driver who Drove like the Devil was Chasing them and Stopped the Limo at a Nice Apartment Building. Everyone Exited the Vehicle Quickly . The Driver Punched in a Code into a Pad and The door unlocked, They ran up the Stairs Effortlessly and into his exquisite Apartment room. "I have it from here" Kyros Quickly Ran into the Dinning room type area and Put the Girl on the Table Laid out. Kyros walked back to the Driver Handing him a Fifty dollar Bill and sending him on his way.He locked the door and began Pacing "Where is he?" Kyros was Obviously stressed Repeating the Sentences "Where is he?" and "What do I do?" Kyros walked back into the Dinning room and Began Pacing in front of The girl. He repeated the Sentences Four or Five times before Checking her Pulse again before Proceeding with his Slight Panic. A minute passed and He checked her Pulse and Listened if she was Breathing, All was good. He started calming down knowing that couldn't Help."She'll be okay... She's Fine now...I just gotta Keep a Good eye on her Pulse and Breathing." He spoke aloud Concerned for her and Angry at the Hunter for doing this. He pulled out a chair Putting his right foot onto it with his Leg bouncing.

"I Told Her She'd Be Fine, I Intend On Keeping That Promise"
He thought to himself Watching the Girl and Checking that she was Still Alive Basically Every minute.

Due to her unconsciousness, she made not a single noise while they traveled. Despite bumps and turns that may have made her do so, they were eerily non-existent. Once within the apartment and laid upon the table, she still laid still. Her breathing was labored, even causing wheezing here and there. Her pulse was weak, but clearly expressed her being alive.

Whilst unconscious, the girl began dreaming. The Hunter had kidnapped her again and decided punching her all along her body. She did not make a single sound as he had threatened her not to. The Hunter laughed uncontrollably, allowing every wound to seep blood. Run from meh, Woman! Ye kin'nae do tha' tae meh, Bit##!, followed by laughing that made his belly roll. All she did was allow tears to roll down her cheeks. Allowing him to hit her any way he pleased. Allowing him to speak any way that suited him.

Although unconscious, tears began to roll down her cheeks in the real world too. Quite visible to Kyros if he ever glanced at her face. It was obvious she was dreaming at this point.

Within the dream the Hunter had bent down to whisper in her ear, causing more tears in both her dream and in reality. The male stood up, picking her up by her hair and tossing her upon the ground a few feet from him. He bent down and tied her arms behind her back. At this point in her dream the Hunter turned into a skinny black-haired male with a smirk upon his face.

In reality the girl began sweating.

She recognized him from someone in her past. The male leaned over her and began to raise her shirt, hand grazing along one breast. He pulled in closer and licked her chest slowly.

Quickly the girl opened her eyes in reality and released a gasped, "Stop!". Upon that gasp, she realized she had awoken from her nightmare. Eyes closed again and audible sobbing continued. For some reason she did not open her eyes again, not decide to see where she was. She laid perfectly still other than the soft movements of her sobs. "Stop." She whispered gently. Still her breathing was labored, and in fact caused more tears. It was odd to see a person could weep so much, but she seemed to believe she had an endless supply.

Malice Whateley

Malice bared her fangs at Keevaā€™s struggling form, luckily escaping the new-turnā€™s flails, although a well-placed scratch cut across her cheek, a small trickle of blood marking out a quickly healing trio of lines. ā€œYou need to learn when to fight and when to step the fuck back!ā€ she growled up at the young woman.

ā€œENOUGH!ā€

Malice turned towards the sudden outburst but didnā€™t otherwise relinquish her hold on Keeva, she could feel the spells effect taking hold around her, she was all too familiar with Alcyoneā€™s spells. Slowly Malice lowered the girl back to her feet giving her a push for good measure. ā€œYour sister needs to learn her place!ā€ She snapped as Keira burst in, ā€œAnd you should be careful who you threaten mortal!ā€

As soon as the spell was dissolved from around her, Malice marched angrily back towards Alcyone. ā€œShe will do as sheā€™s told or I will personally remove herā€¦ā€ her cold eyes gradually returned to their emerald green. ā€œAnd her sister.ā€ She answered in passing to Alcyoneā€™s command, not that she particularly listened to the witch normally but Malice had always had a great respect for the traditions of war and neutrality was one of the fundamentals.

She took to her seat again, downing her glass and calling for another from the nearby barman.

"I apologize for cutting into whatever is the problem, but I really need to know if any one you are associated with a hospital.ā€

ā€œHmph, looks like you might still be able to continue your pointless career after all Choi.ā€ Malice stated, tossing coins at the barman, her tone more sarcastic then before.

She glanced over to the slumped form of the hunter who was still bleeding heavily upon the bar. ā€œSeems like a terrible waste to me. All that blood and itā€™s just spilt on the floor, if it werenā€™t for the hunters we could always drag him outside and finish him off.ā€ She mused, more to herself since Okada was not a mortal drinker and Choi seemed entirely against the idea altogether.

Keeva got up off the ground, growling softly to herself. She watched Malice march up to the witch on the bar and turned to leave, instead she was met with a slap from her sister. "Learned to control it, had you?" Keira shook her head and noticed that the guy from earlier was now at the bar. She walked up to him, her face worried, "Do you know where the 2 people I was with went?" She was more worried that if Kyros took her to a hospital, A) they wouldn't make it and B) They'd ask questions.

Keeva snarled at her sister for slapping her before leaving. When she left, she felt her anger boiling and a bloodlust suddenly swept over her and she decided to hunt alone, she was in a mood to play with her food before she ate.

Ezra Underhill, Okada Sasaki, and Choi Jin-Sang

ā€œYouā€¦ you can see meā€¦?ā€ Ezra asked. However the others seemed a bit un-phased and unsurprised by this discovery. Erza was very confused, more so than before.

ā€œWellā€¦ Yes.ā€ Malice answered bluntly, shifting in her seat as though sheā€™d just been asked if the ground was beneath them. Ezra was truly baffled however the others seemed a bit un-phased and unsurprised by this discovery. Erza was very confused, more so than before. He had no clue that ghosts could be seen by Vampires and Werewolves or most all other supernatural beings for that matter.

The sound of a blade and the gasps of someone being injured broke the conversation, causing Malice to swing herself around. "This manā€™s bleeding! Quickly! Someone get him a cloth!"

Ezra, Sasaki and Choi were confused as to exactly what was going on. ā€œWhatā€™s going on?! What just happened?!ā€ Ezra questioned in a panic.

Sasaki replied, ā€œIt looks like someone couldnā€™t stick to the rules and didnā€™t keep their damn attitude to his or her self. That human hunter has just been brutally slashed.ā€ Sasaki was not at all happy to see the scene that unfolded before him. He didnā€™t drink freshly drained blood anymore, however when freshly drawn blood was in the vicinity, it was hard to keep himself under control, even though he looked so composed on the outside.

Choi was having a very hard time controlling his impulses. He could feel his whole body trying to lunge at the bleeding hunter. He didnā€™t want to but it was like his body had a will of its own. Sasaki quickly wrapped his arms around Choiā€™s waist to restrain him lightly. Choi was fighting to remain calm, a fight in which he won.

"Take these two to my apartment as fast as you can, let them in and make sure the door locks when you leave. The girl is feeling very sick, and she should rest, very soon." The man said to the Driver. "It's your choice whether you trust me or not, but again, it's in your best interest to do so, I'm going to go see if anyone in the bar is a doctor." A man said. He seemed to be a Vampire. "I apologize for cutting into whatever is the problem, but I really need to know if any one you are associated with a hospital. I really need to get to one, and not for myself" the man spoke while looking across the line of people sitting at the bar.

Choi was hesitant to speak up. After settling his initial reaction to the bleeding hunter he didnā€™t think it was a good idea for him to be near the man. He could ditch the urge to kill him that floated around in the back of his mind.

ā€œHmph, looks like you might still be able to continue your pointless career after all Choi.ā€ Malice stated, tossing coins at the barman, her tone more sarcastic then before. Choi seemed to give a slightly startled jump at the sound of the suggestion.

Sasaki nodded his head in agreement with Malice. He didnā€™t feed, he drank. However that didnā€™t stop him from feeling bad about wasted blood. Sasaki gave Choi a nudge of confidence. ā€œYou can do it love. Just focus on the life in need of saving and not his blood. Youā€™ll be fine. I believe you will.ā€ Sasaki encouraged Choi.

Choi finally spoke. ā€œIā€™m a doctor. However I have no supplies here. It would be difficult for me to treat him without the proper equipment. Are you opposed to taking him to a hospital?ā€ Choi asked as he stepped forward. He was beginning feel less threatened by the site of the blood, which was a good sign.

Keira did not care if she was invited or not, but she followed after John, she hopped over the decapitated body and followed the man. "We may need more than a doctor." She told him as they waited for Choi. "I can take a cab to your place, do what I can to give you more time for getting the stuff you need. What's the address?" She took out her phone, ready to call for a taxi as soon as he told her the address.

Keeva walked down the streets, "God why does this town empty so early?" She sighed as she through another empty beer can into a bush. She lifted the last can to her face. "Last one and I'm not even tipsy." She sighed and threw the beer can at a park car, smashing the windshield. "Oops..." She said to herself sarcastically. Just her luck that a police officer was watching her. He approached her but he didn't get to say anything, seeing as how Keeva had bit into his throat, draining him of blood. Her face was covered in it as it sprayed and her eyes were a horrid and empty black. "Hungry!" She cried. "So very hungry!"

"No, I need you to come with, you're going to help me with the distraction in the hospital." John replied to the girl. He found it interesting that she seemed completely unphased by the now headless man she stepped over. He peeked inside the door of the bar to see if the doctor was coming. "There's no time to wait for him to decide." John muttered to himself. He pulled out his phone and looked up the nearest hospital.

"It'd probably be a good idea to explain to you what my plan is." He said, looking over to her. "Plan A is that the doctor comes with us, when we get to the hospital he brings you in and takes you straight into an emergency room, and I follow. Plan B is if he doesn't come with, we'll go in and immediatly ask for someone to take us to an emergency room."

"Whichever happens, my cover up is acting as your concerned boyfriend, and once we get a room, I'm going to go and find the supply closet and steal some blood bags. Plan C is if something screws up and our cover is blown. Your main priority will be making it outside to the front of the hospital until I get out there, from there we go to the apartment."

John turned to start walking to the hospital "C'mon, we gotta walk fast."

(OOC: I edited my original post and added parts of Digital.ps' post for continuity reasons.)

Choi Jin-Sang, Ezra Underhill, and Okada Sasaki

Choi, Ezra and Sasaki watched and listened as John looked over to the hunter, his face into the bar. "I'm not looking to save him. I'm looking to save the girl he dragged in here" he turned to look at the doctor who came up to him "I don't have time to debate about this with you, I need you to take me to the hospital and let me into the supply closet. If you don't help, I'm going to go and break into it anyway, but that will create much more of an ordeal."

Choi wasnā€™t too happy about the thought of letting the man die or breaking into the hospital for this person. It was la bit of a dig on his integrity as a doctor. He was very upset about this whole ordeal. He was robbed of his humanity, possibly of his job and life. Would he be reduced to drinking processed blood in a bar and stealing supplies from his hospital for other vampires like John? Choi didnā€™t answer yet.

"If it werenā€™t for the hunters we could always drag him outside and finish him off.ā€ John heard one of the other women say as he had walked up to the bar. "Allow me to do that for you." With this he walked up to the half dead hunter, grabbed him by the back collar of his shirt, and pulled him off the bar stool, he landed on the ground with a *Thump*. As John pulled him outside a younger hunter stood up and started reaching for his gun. John stopped and looked him in the eyes "Don't. This is better for both sides" and continued.

Ezra was terrified of what was about to happen to the half dead hunter. He clung to Sasakiā€™s arm, as he seemed to be a neutral and safe guy to cling to. Ezra felt like the world had gone to Armageddon while he was locked away in his flat the whole year. There were vampires and werewolves, hunters and Ghosts like him. It was all overwhelming. Ezra knew he wouldnā€™t leave Sasakiā€™s side, if he did heā€™d be too afraid to move at all.

John got to the door, opened it and rolled the man out onto the sidewalk, turned his head halfway back to the bar with the doctor and said "C'mon, if you want to save someone's life." Letting the door slam behind him, John unsheathed his katana and put an end to the hunter's misery, his head rolled into the street.

Choiā€™s eyes widened in shock as John dragged the dying hunter outside and killed him. Choi didnā€™t care for this manā€™s attitude and disregard for the life of the hunter at all. The hunter was supposedly a bad man but still he was living and life should be preserved. However Choi couldnā€™t accept the fact that he was now technically considered dead and not living. That was hard to handle. It was too late to do anything for the hunter but perhaps he could help the girl. Choi turned to Sasaki and said, ā€œI will help. I will go to the hospital with them. Please come with me.ā€

Sasaki replied with a smile rubbing Choiā€™s shoulder, ā€œYou didnā€™t have to ask love.ā€ He then turned to Ezra and said with a gentle smile, ā€œYou my ghostly friend should tag along to. I donā€™t really see you hanging about here.ā€

Ezra nodded in agreement after scanning the bar one more time. ā€œAfter all of this would you mind taking me to my home? Iā€™m a bit afraid to go back there alone. I bet this sounds really stupid of me.ā€ Ezra asked timidly.

Sasaki replied calmly, ā€œNot at all. Donā€™t you fret. Weā€™ll stick with you all the way. Besides, Iā€™m interested in knowing how and where a ghost lives.ā€ Sasaki chuckled. He liked Ezra. Ezra gave Sasaki the impression of a gentle and non-threatening guy, one you could trust.

Sasaki, Choi and Ezra headed outside and followed John and Keira. Sasaki took a moment to ask Ezra about his situation. He found out that Ezra had been living alone in his old flat for a year since he died. Usually ghosts only exists for a moment before crossing over to the afterlife. However, every now and then one does not pass over due to unfinished business. It was then that Ezra spotted an flash of light. Anyone that was not human or technically alive would have seen it. The dead hunter was not a ghost. He stood there next to his lifeless decapitated body looking very angry. The huge ghost fumed with rage as he glared at John. ā€œ

ā€œYOU FUCKING CHOPPED MY BLOODY HEAD OFF!!!ā€ the Hunterā€™s ghost screamed in rage. Before he could do anything a large metal door appeared on the wall outside of the Penumbra bar. It was the Hunterā€™s door to the afterlife. He turned toward the door in confusion and opened it.

ā€œExcuse me Miss. You shouldnā€™t look into that doorway. Youā€™re a living being. Looking into death will reap bad things onto your life.ā€ Ezra warned Keira not to look into the door. He had never had an encounter with a doorway to death before but for some inherent reason he knew to warn her. Perhaps some things just came naturally to ghosts.

The ghost of the hunter opened the door, flipped John off, and walked through it. Ezra could see and feel the darkness on the other side. The Hunter would not be going anywhere good it seemed. The door faded.

Ezra, Sasaki and Choi hurried to catch up with John and Keira as they headed to the hospital. It was then that they overheard John's plan.

"It'd probably be a good idea to explain to you what my plan is." John said, looking over to Keira. "Plan A is that the doctor comes with us, when we get to the hospital he brings you in and takes you straight into an emergency room, and I follow. Plan B is if he doesn't come with, we'll go in and immediatly ask for someone to take us to an emergency room."

John continued. "Whichever happens, my cover up is acting as your concerned boyfriend, and once we get a room, I'm going to go and find the supply closet and steal some blood bags. Plan C is if something screws up and our cover is blown. Your main priority will be making it outside to the front of the hospital until I get out there, from there we go to the apartment." John turned to start walking to the hospital "C'mon, we gotta walk fast."

Choi was not at all happy to hear what exactly John had planned. He almost stopped dead in his tracks. However Sasaki gave Choi a nudge forward so that he'd continue on. "Remember, this is more for the young lady that hunter killed than your need to continue being a doctor. I don't feel this vampire means any disrespect toward your job but he wants to help the lady that been wronged regardless of the consequences. Just keep your eyes on the prize here and the other things won't bother you. Don't worry love I and our ghost friend here are right beside you all the way." Sasaki was sure to give Choi a gentle and warm smile, it usually helped him feel at ease.

The group caught up to John and Kiera. ā€œAlright. Iā€™m not a fan of stealing from my place of work but Iā€™ll help you for the sake of the young lady. What are her general health concerns, do you know? It helps so that Iā€™ll know what supplies to gather.ā€ Choi asked John.

Keira nodded to him with a slight smile. "I suppose that plan isn't entirely stupid." She shrugged and watched as the rest of the group approached. "Are you sure you'll need me? You do seem to have an entourage." She smiled when she noticed the group. She recognised 2 of them but there was a new guy, he seemed familiar to her, but she didn't know where she had seen him before, she shrugged it off believing he just had 1 of those faces or she had seen him In the bar before.

She surprisingly noticed the white light and heard him say, "Excuse me Miss. You shouldnā€™t look into that doorway. Youā€™re a living being. Looking into death will reap bad things onto your life.ā€ She then tilted her head. "Then maybe you shouldn't look into it either." He didn't seem like a vampire but he could have been a werewolf, but just to be safe she assumed he was human. She looked at the door and recognised it as well. "I've seen that door before." She said, then she noticed the dead hunter was now a ghost and it was his door. She looked away from the door just to be sure she didn't bring bad things into her life. When she looked back up, the door was gone and so was the hunter, she looked back at the guy who told her to look away and nodded with a smile. "Thanks." It was then that she noticed his difference, he was dead and hadn't passed on, he was a ghost. She turned to John, her face worried and a little scared. "I can't go to the hospital." She told him. "You have this group, I'll go to the apartment and do what I can for her." She couldn't tell him why but she had to hope he'd just let it go, she couldn't go tova place that probably had more dead in it than the bar behind her and she couldn't cope with it, last time she did it didn't go to well.

Malice Whateley

Malice rolled her eyes at Johnā€™s show of bravado. ā€œOooh, well arenā€™t you such a big brave man!ā€ she commented sarcastically, otherwise showing no emotion about the hunterā€™s demise. She remained at her seat as the others left. Malice had no interest in that much work for one mortal who probably deserved it anyway.

Finishing her glass she left her seat, walking back in through the throng of people, intending to follow after Alcoyne. After sheā€™d managed to shunt her way through the throng of people she was confronted by two of the barā€™s bouncers, one appeared mortal though the faint smell of wet dog gave away his werewolf nature. The other was obviously a hunter from his self-righteous glancing down at the vampire. Both were at least 6ā€ 5ā€™ and bore the scars that were common in both of their line of works.

ā€œWhat do you want, Vampire!?ā€ The hunter growled down at her sneering. ā€œThis roomā€™s private.ā€ He seemed pleased with his stand, though the werewolf next to him seemed totally stoic.

ā€œFuck off, Hunter! Iā€™m here to see Alcoyne. She wished to see me.ā€ Malice answered, matching the gigantic hunterā€™s glare, her piercing green eyes locked with his brown.

ā€œYou donā€™t think thatā€™s really going to work do you?ā€ The hunter asked folding his arms and raising an eyebrow.

ā€œWell Iā€™m going through whether you give me permission or not but really youā€™d much rather that nothing happens within the building so if you let me through thereā€™ll be less shit. Ok?ā€

John turned to Choi "I believe she has internal bleeding, she was coughing up blood, and it wouldn't surprise me from the way she was being kicked and beat. I was planning on grabbing a bunch of blood bags, but I've only ever treated myself, and treating humans is your specialty, so I'll trust your word on what to take."

He then turned to Keira as she spoke. John could hear the nerves in her voice and it showed a little on her face, he was going to say something but stopped himself. He pulled out a piece of paper from his pocket and a pen and wrote down the address of his apartment and handed it to her. "I can't guarantee that the boy will let you in, but we should be there shortly."

John then motioned for Sasaki, Choi, and Ezra to come. "I'm sorry to rush, but we really have to go now. Time is running out for that girl."

Keira smiled at John, thankful that he didn't ask her why she hadn't wanted to go. She managed to get a taxi and took it straight to the apartment complex. She ran up the stairs and banged on the door. "It's me from earlier, I was drawing the flower. You need to let me in." She screamed into the apartment, hoping Kyros heard her. She had the grimoire ready at the page for a weak healing spell, strong enough to keep hanna alive for another 30 minutes.

Keeva had rampaged the city for a long while, killing 2 people and leaving another for dead, forgetting that he would turn due to her drunken state. She headed back to the apartment and feel asleep.

After John spoke to Keira she decided to go ahead to Johnā€™s place and look after Hannah, the abused young woman, while Choi, Ezra, and Sasaki accompanied John to the hospital. John then motioned for Sasaki, Choi, and Ezra to come. "I'm sorry to rush, but we really have to go now. Time is running out for that girl."

The group reached the hospital and Choi felt highly anxious. Hours ago Choi staggered out of the hospital after being attacked by a vampire, clinging to the last bit of life left to him. Now here he arrived once again, now as a vampire, to steal from the hospital in order to save a life. As they stood outside Choi felt himself unable to move. He felt as if he was reliving the whole thing over again. Ezra noticed Choiā€™s pale and trance like expression and placed his hand on Choiā€™s forearm. ā€œAre you alright?ā€ Ezra asked timidly.

Choi was slightly startled by the cold touch of Ezraā€™s skin. He was cold in a different way than the feel of coolness a vampire displays. Ezraā€™s touch was like touching someone who had just come indoors from a cold rainy outside day or a clear frosty night. Unlike the touch of a vampire which was cool like touching cold glass. Choi felt a bit shocked out of his paralyzing train of thought. He turned to Ezra slowly and gave a worried look. ā€œSorryā€¦ Iā€¦ kinda spaced out for a moment. Iā€™ll live I guess.ā€ Choi then remembered he was talking to a ghost, a person who was technically dead and buried and felt bad. ā€œOh bollocks Iā€™m so sorry! Youā€™re a ghost and I was so insensitive! I didnā€™t mean any harm please forgive my rudeness!ā€ Choi apologized sincerely.

Ezra gave Choi a silly little smile and giggled. ā€œItā€™s okay. I am dead after all. But I guess so are you if you can see me.ā€ Ezra looked down at his hand while smiling in reminiscence. ā€œThat was the first time Iā€™ve ever touched another personā€™s skin since Iā€™ve died. It was weird but it was nice at the same time. I kinda felt alive again. Thanks.ā€ Ezra smiled at Choi, a look that said that all was well. It also made Choi feel loads better and okay enough to proceed into the hospital.

Sasaki was proud that he didnā€™t have to intervene and pull Choi out of his fear. It was an achievement that Ezra was able to do that for Choi. Sasaki figured, perhaps what Choi and he needed was to live together instead of in separate apartments, and a roommate that would understand how it felt to be inhuman. Sasaki decided that he would ask Ezra if they could rent out his flat and move in with him. They could look after each other. Of course theyā€™d have to make sure that Ezraā€™s place was decent and livable but that would come later. Sasaki remembered that his first priority should be to look after Choi, Ezra and John as they infiltrated the hospital.

Choi had easy access to the different wards. He went to his office and grabbed a large bag to carry different thing taken in. The others were to wait in the lobby. Choi felt horrible about stealing blood from the hospital but it needed to be done. He fought very hard to keep from drinking it himself, a fight in which he was close to losing. Then Ezra appeared in the room with Choi. ā€œHey now, Remember thatā€™s for the lady we need to help. Please focus Choi.ā€ Ezra said in a nurturing tone. He didnā€™t realize how newborn vampires struggle with bloodlust but Choi was showing remarkable resilience.

Choi snapped out of his fixation and realized that Ezra simply popped up in the room. It was as if he had teleported. ā€œThanks Ezra. Did you by any chance just teleport in here? I didnā€™t know you could do that.ā€ Choi responded.

Ezra hadnā€™t realized that he teleported, ā€œNeither did I know I could do that. I guess there is much more to being a ghost than not being seen or heard after all huh. Brilliant!ā€

ā€œI wish I could have become a ghost when I died as opposed to a bloody monster.ā€ Choi replied in a sulky manner.

Ezra stepped closer to Choi and responded, ā€œYouā€™re no monster Choi. You seem like a very nice man. I feel very safe around you. And even though Iā€™m a ghost, people terrify me as if they can hurt me. With you I feel at ease. You seem to be the nurturing type and that requires that you be a safe, trustworthy person.ā€

Choi smiled brightly. ā€œThanks Ezra. I wish I had met you sooner. Itā€™s a shame you passed away. Weā€™ll weā€™d better get going. Iā€™ve a few more things to grab. Iā€™ll assume that you can take me with you while teleporting right? I mean Iā€™m technically dead too so it should work.ā€ Choiā€™s theory was correct. Ghosts canā€™t teleport with living beings but vampires arenā€™t alive by technicality. They grabbed what they needed and headed out with the others.

Choi opened his bag so that John could look inside. ā€œIs this alright? I grabbed all I thought I needed and could carry without taking anything that was too noticeable and easy to miss.ā€ Choi asked John.

John had been in a deep thought as they came up to the hospital. It worried him that something could go wrong with all the innocent people inside, especially since the first hour he'd been here he already killed someone and was now rushing to save another person's life. While waiting in the lobby for Choi to get back, John constantly scanned the room, looking for any dangerous or suspicious people. He barely even noticed that Ezra disappeared until after the fact.

Choi broke John's trance as he walked out into the lobby with the supplies, "Is this alright? I grabbed all I thought I needed..." John looked through the bag, Painkillers, blood bags, and IV tubes and needles. He ran a check list through his head. "Yea, that should work."

He walked outside with the others and hailed a taxi. John showed the driver the address of the apartment building on his cell phone and asked him to hurry. They arrived in the building, John payed the driver and went into the building with the others. "Skip the elevator, the stairs will be faster." John said without stopping for a second.

As they got to the door of the apartment, John noticed his luggage was still out in the hallway. He pulled out his key, unlocked the door and pushed it open. He could see right into the dining room where Hanna was on the table, and Kyros and Keira standing next to her. John looked behind him "Choi, go ahead and start putting the supplies out on the table and setting up the IV and the blood bag." After finishing his sentence, John grabbed a coat hanger out of the corner of the room, and some clothes pins out of a drawer to create a makeshift IV bag holder and placed it next to the table. He then went into the kitchen, grabbed some towels and a glass of water, and set them down next to Hanna. "How's she holding up?" John asked but didn't really wait for a response before turning to Choi "I trust you more to setup the IV and insert it since your a doctor. I'll get the painkillers ready."

As Sasaki, Choi, and Ezra arrived at the apartment with John, they took a look around. The yung woman that was abused by the now deceased hunter was there and seemingly alright however John and Choi were informed that this was due to Keira performing a healing spell. Unfortunately the spell would only last for another ten minutes so they needed to act fast.

John looked toward Choi who stood behind him and spoke, "Choi, go ahead and start putting the supplies out on the table and setting up the IV and the blood bag." After finishing his sentence, John grabbed a coat hanger out of the corner of the room, and some clothes pins out of a drawer to create a makeshift IV bag holder and placed it next to the table. He then went into the kitchen, grabbed some towels and a glass of water, and set them down next to Hanna. He then turned to Choi "I trust you more to setup the IV and insert it since youā€™re a doctor. I'll get the painkillers ready."

Choi quickly glanced at Sasaki for reassurance and Sasaki gave him a nod. He made sure to smile as if everything was fine, he knew that such a response would help Choi relax and work with little worry. Choi went forward and began prepping the IV. After Choi set it up he began to check Hannaā€™s Vital signs. She seemed stable but since the other young woman apparently placed a supposed healing spell on Hanna so he couldnā€™t determine if Hanna was stable solely as a result of the spell or not. This whole thing was foreign to him, Vampires, Ghosts, Hunters and witches. Choi thought to himself as he examined Hanna who lay on the table, ā€œA spell on a patient? had this happened a day ago at the hospital, while I was human, and someone told me the patient had a healing spell on her, Iā€™d have dubbed them bonkers and called the hospital psyche ward on them in a heartbeat. But here I am a Vampire seeing to a woman, who was beaten by a supernatural being hunter, that has a healing spell, cast by a witch, keeping her vitals afloat at present. If I hadnā€™t been brutally murdered and revived myself Iā€™d say I was absolutely daft out of my mind.ā€

Choi glanced over at John as he continued to ponder. ā€œI wonder if he plans to perform a medical procedure for her himself. Is this John a doctor? Does he have any medical training? He couldnā€™t have possibly called me all the way here to simply set up an IV. If he wants her treated, she would have been better taken to the hospital. This girl is human so itā€™s not like sheā€™s at risk of being discovered as a monster like me.ā€ Choiā€™s thoughts rambled in his head as he prepared things. Preparations were done and he signaled John to let him know and await further instruction.

Ezra stood with a smile on his face as he watched the chemistry between Choi and Sasaki. The two seemed to make a pretty sharp couple. Indeed the situation in the flat was serious and slightly tense with the injured young lady there and all, but Ezra couldnā€™t help but enjoy the company. It had been so long since he had been able to talk to people and be around others who could actually interact with him he almost couldnā€™t get enough of it. He wondered what would happen when this situation was over. Would he go back to being a lonely and forgotten ghost haunting his old flat? Ezra shuddered at the thought.

Sasaki turned to Ezra and asked, ā€œExcuse me, Ezra is it?ā€ after Ezra nodded with a shy yet excited smile Sasaki continued. ā€œI was wondering if the flat that you wellā€¦ haunt, is vacant of ā€˜livingā€™ occupants?ā€

Ezraā€™s face beamed and he answered without hesitation, ā€œYES! Itā€™s free, totally freeā€¦ um I mean vacant. Yup! Why are you looking for a place to stay?ā€

Sasaki was relieved to see Ezraā€™s eager response. ā€œActually yes. I think Choi and I will be wanting to move in together and after meeting you, I thought you could use some company as well. Iā€™ve heard stories about ghosts that are alone and unremembered being doomed to fade away like the morning mists. We need a nice place to lay low for a while and you could use some people who know that you still exist so that you will exist. What do you say?ā€

Ezra was a bit unsettled about this new information regarding ghosts. He definitely didnā€™t want to fade away into nothingness. He extended his hand for a handshake. ā€œI accept! Iā€™ll tell you the name of my former publicist, he handles the renting of the property. Heā€™ll be the one you should call about renting it out. Iā€™m excited!ā€ Ezra hopped in place a couple of times in excitement. He wouldnā€™t be alone anymore.
