Luca Valliat's Story

Alpes the Griffin

Alpes was lying down in a small open air shaft at a far corner of the the meeting hall bustling with creatures that were laughing and mourning. Alpes didn't really know what to do except watch the creatures around him, he hadn't tried to help the humans nor had he tried to hunt them down, he had mostly just slept through the whole 'game' as some creatures called it.

"What's wrong with you Alpes?" A Pixie flew up in front of his face, "You didn't even try hunting a human down this time. Usually, you're the first to catch one."

"I wasn't interested that's all," his response made a lot of the creatures laugh but he just closed his eyes and ignored them, plus, he really didn't like the sight of the Pixie in front of him.

Luca Valliat

Luca walked by the park like he always did then he closed his eyes and walked through the streets of the port thank to the images he kept in his mind. He never forgot a part of the streets he knew exactly where there was a slight bump where he had to lift his foot a little higher so he wouldn't trip, he knew when to take a turn, but this time he ran into a wall.
That's impossible! I know exactly where I - Luca rubbed his nose then stood idly before a hidden part of the docks he had never come to.
There was a dragon headed ship right in from of his, it was huge and beautiful bu he had never seen it here before. IT was definitely new or else Luca would have remembered it. Luca took a few steps toward it but then was stopped by a man covered in black; a black cloak, black gloves, a big black scarf, a black hat, black round glasses, etc. . . Luca looked up at the very tall man for a little while before the man stepped aside and presented Luca the entrance of the ship with a polite sign with his arm and a short bow.

"Um. . . thank you?" Luca slowly walked up the ramp of the ship and went through the large red door with carvings of dragons and faeries and all sorts of different creatures on it. When the door closed behind him it was pitch black and the door was gone, "Hello?"

Luca couldn't see a thing in the dark, but it wasn't only that he couldn't see it was also that very uncomfortable feeling slithering down his spine, the feeling that he needed to get out of this place. The silence was eerie and it wasn't as cold inside the ship, well, it wasn't cold weather but the atmosphere was the same as Absolute Zero . . . nothing, no life, no movement.
Then he heard something, the creaking of an opening door, Luca turned around to see a girl coming through the same door he had just walked through. He was so glad but then he saw the door shutting behind the girl and he was about to call out, "Stop that door!" but it was too late. Once again he was in the ark but this time at least he was with a girl who's voice rang softly in the room, "Hello? Who's there?"

Luca walked up to her and touched her hand remembering in the dark that it had been at her side when she had entered the ship, "My name is Luca Valliat, who are you?"

Not long after two other people followed behind the girl that had come in and each time Luca made an attempt to jump out the door but each time he would just fly into empty space. It was like the door never existed every time it closed. So now Luca was stuck in this unknown and mysterious ship with three other people.
"As I said earlier to the green haired girl, my name is Luca Valliat," Luca presented himself to the strangers in the dark.


Alpes the Griffin

He was starting to get bored watching all the creatures but then Nora went to her usual teasing with Kitty, the both of them were like children but Nora was very different from Kitty. Even though Alpes didn't know the creatures on the ship very well he knew very well about Nora and Kitty's relationship, an on and off teasing. Aples hadn't really gotten attached to anyone special on the ship because he never found anyone worth being attached to.

"Hello? Who's there?" Alpes' ears perked up at the sound of a young girl's voice.

He looked around the creature assembly hall and saw that no one had yet noticed that there was a human on board, or maybe several humans. Alpes wanted to go check them out before the eaters started their playful hunting, but if the humans weren't interesting then he would just leave.
Alpes, quietly walked out of the hall and went through a black wood door with metal decorative forgeries on it. The door he knew would bring him to the dark room, the room where all humans first come through.

I will be putting up an OOC with the different doors and rooms so that the creatures can know where they're going but the humans will not!!!!

Kitty shifted her weight onto her left arm as she sat on a table, "I don't know, i think i'll help this time." she shrugged before smiling, "Especially if one of them happened to bring fish with them." She said with a laugh until her ear twitched, she heard someone speaking. She looked over at Alpes to see that he to had heard it too and was heading into the black room. Kitty jumped up and hovered in mid-air, an excited smile appearing on her face, "Hey, i gotta go Nora." she said, hugging the demon before flying off after Alpes and going through the door just as it was closing.

Kitty flew upwards until she could reach up and touch the ceiling, from there she adjusted her pupils, turning them into cat-like slits so she could see in the other wise pitch black room. She saw five people, three girls and two guys. She let out a small giggle before quickly clamping a hand over her mouth. "I wanna say hi but would i get into trouble?" she said, looking over at Alpes as she did and waiting for him to do something first.

Another girl walked through the door but this time Luca didn't even try jumping through the door to get out but when the light from the outside entered he saw the other boy feeling out a wooden checkered door and then he opened it. Party lights came through from the other door and when he looked passed the boy he saw arcade games and . . . bowling alleys? It was the last thing he expected to find in such an old fashioned Asian styled ship.
Luca decided to follow the boy who had taken his first step inside, something told Luca that if he started wandering around the ship he might find either trouble or, hopefully, the way out.

"It's worth a shot," Luca balled up his hands into fists and swallowed his saliva telling himself that he was swallowing his fear.

Alpes the Griffin

In the dark Alpes could see the humans looking around in the dark aimlessly hoping to see something. When the wooden checkered door appeared and the oldest of the two boys opened it, Alpes sat down and chuckled. His laughter echoed in the dark room.

"You might not be completely doomed," Alpes said even though he was pretty sure that it wasn't their instinct that drove them to open the door but more like their curiosity, "At least that room doesn't attract many Eaters."

Rosalie walked into the ship only to be greeted by a dim light, highlighting the people in the room. She furrowed her eyebrows in confusion as to what was happening right now. 'Glad I'm not the only one here' she mentally said to herself. Soon a boy with salt and pepper hair along with big brown eyes spoke. "As I said earlier to the green haired girl, my name is Luca Valliat," She noted that information for future reference. All was silent expect for the pounding of hearts some people made. Then suddenly a boy with vibrant red hair and a beige coat on started towards a door with a checker like design. But it was made of concave and convex patterns. Rosalie watched him go and then the boy named Luca go after. Not wanting to be left behind she followed suit.

When she went though the odd looking door she momentarily stopped. The room was filled with arcade games and a bowling ally. She turned to her right and saw the red head say something along the lines of "-Bowling against me" She looked towards the screen and saw the name 'Ace' in digital letters above the letters 'ABCD'. Rosalie sighed and called out to him. "His name is Luca Valliat." With that she walked around aimlessly hoping for something to happen soon. And without this ditz here.

Luca Valliat

Sure Luca was suspicious about the whole bowling alley in an ancient Asia ship, but that didn't mean he couldn't have a little bit of fun, after all, when was the last time he even laughed. He could think about how to get off the ship after he played a friendly gave against. . . he looked at the bowling game screen. . . Ace.
"I would love to play, but it's been a long time since I've played," well, for an 8 year old, a long time was like at most two years but since Luca wasn't strong enough to lift a bowling ball when he was 6, he remembered that it was a year ago when he was seven.
He recalled how he had spent the whole day with his dad for the first time out of the house just bowling. It hurt Luca to think about it because now his dad just sat on the couch all day and probably completely forgot about that day at the bowling alley and all the fun they had together. . .

Alpes the Griffin

A lot of the humans were still looking around trying to figure out where they were or just completely shocked, two of them had gone to the bowling alley wich wasn't a very dangerous place so Alpes didn't have to worry, but one girl went through the door leading to the library.
"That's not good," Alpes got on his four talons then spread his wings to swiftly fly over the girl's head and hide in a dark space at the top of a shelf where the girl couldn't see him.
If he left the girl alone, she would be eaten by the Duende and the Boggart, such malevolent little creatures that were always up to no good in the library.

The black dog stretched his legs and got up. His eyes still glowing red, he started making his way towards the large wooden door that would lead towards a black room where the humans first came when they entered the boat. Yes, he came for that, the humans who had entered the boat. He wanted to protect the humans, and not watch them being eaten, no, not this time. He was sure he would protect them this time, even if he had to kill the other creatures for it, no, not this time, not those humans, and not again. He wanted peace, not see blood flow and watched how the creatures feasted on the humans and their flesh. No, he didn't want that this time.

As he made his way to the door, he was careful not to alert other creatures. It helped that he was plainly black, he wasn't noticed that easily. He nudged the door open and walked through it, and watched it vanish behind him. Than, he sat down and looked around the black room. He could easily see in the black room, that wasn't hard. He had already noticed some humans discovering other doors, two seemed already to have found the gaming hall, and yet another the library, but Alpes was already there, so he didn't need to go there. He looked at the others and sighed softly. ''Why did you enter?'' he asked himself softly.

The black dog made his way towards the gaming hall. He could always keep an eye on those two, to make sure no creatures would try to eat them. As he opened the door, he quickly walked in, than watched the door close and looked at the two humans. He made his way to a corner and sat down, than stayed silent.

Ace smiled to Luca, "It's okay, doesn't matter, I haven't played for a while either," and it was true, he loved bowling too. Bad Ace telling the truth... is that supposed to be common? Anyways, Ace looked at the lanes, everything seemed to be in perfect condition. Ace felt like he could stay here forever, just playing bowling, perhaps because he liked games so much. He suddenly felt the stare of someone, and he turned to the side. "HOLY S***!" Ace said. He saw Kitty, and had fell on the floor due to a good scare.

The first thing Ace saw was ears, two large tiger ears sticking out of her red hair. He immediately commented on this, "... ears?" he said. After a second, Ace realized she was kind of cute, not as though he had a crush or anything, she was just... cute. Dark turquoise eyes, a black top with a matching miniskirt, and a tiger tail, and tiger patterned socks that reached a bit above the knees. Wait... a tail? What is she? He followed his first sentence in the same tone, "... tail?"

Luca felt reassured that Ace also was out of practice but then Ace stared behind Luca and said something about ears and a tail. When Luca turned around he understood what he was talking about. There was a tiger eared and tailed girl crouched on the floor and staring back at Ace who had fallen onto his butt.
When the tiger girl sprang into the air and stayed in the air Luca stood dumbfounded watching as she reached her hand out to help Ace up. Okay . . . this ship was officially freaking him out, there was an empty bowling alley with arcade games room and a hovering tiger girl. Luca didn't know how to react anymore, there was no where to run nor was there anything to say except:
"Hi," Luca failed an attempt at a smile but he did manage to get his hello out.

"Were you playing this game? I don't know what it is but sorry if i made you mess up," said the tiger girl.

"We hadn't even started yet, so it's okay," Luca was shaking so badly but somehow he wasn't scared of talking to her, she didn't look mean or dangerous so he didn't feel took scared, just surprised.

Alpes watched as the girl grazed her eyes over the shelves and occasionally plucked one out then put it back in it's rightful place. She was graceful and quiet, but her delicate actions seemed more like an outside veil to Alpes, he wondered what kind of being she was inside.
He couldn't observe her too long, the Duende and Boggart had already awakened and were definitely waiting for a nice meal or heinous farce. Alpes flew down behind the young and graceful girl discretely then sat down.

"Is anyone there?"

"Calling them out is a bad idea," said Alpes.

Kitty's attention turned to Luca, "Hello..Luca." she said, her ears twitching around because of all the noises around her. "That's good, i wouldn't wanna cause any trouble. Thou i still have no idea what this is." she said in a curious tone. "I wonder if the count is still alive." she thought to herself, but quickly shook the thought from her head, remembering the many scars along her back. She noticed Luca shaking, "Oh, are you cold? i can't do much but maybe my animal form can help." she said, shifting into her animal form. When her paws hit the ground she walked over to him and leaned against his leg. "Does this help mister?" she said, her ears still twitching.

Rosalie turned down Aces attempt for her to join in on the game. Mostly because she didn't want to humiliate herself, those two at least had a little practice before them, while she had none. Her pride was her only sense of comfort sometimes, and when it is hurt she is deeply hurt. She ran her fingers though her chocolate brown hair occasionally stopped when a flower got in her way. Sometimes those things did get annoying but nonetheless she loved them. 'I wonder how my family is doing?' Rosalie thought but laughed at the image of her actually caring for those people. 'I hope something happens to them.'

A scream filled the room and Rosalie noted that it was Ace. He looked terrified to say in the least. His jade green eyes were wide and his cheery red hair was shaking. She then moved her eyes to where Ace was looking at and had the same reaction as him. Expect without the screaming. A girl with brown red hair and ocean blue eyes was staring right at him. She had a tail swishing around and ears that seemed to be perked up. 'What the crap?' She thought and blinked her eyes a few times. Luca on the other had seemed to almost calm, even calm enough to actually talk. "Hi." He had said shakily trying to force out a smile but utterly failing.

She then started to speak in a voice that almost reminded her of a child's. "Were you playing this game? I don't know what it is but sorry if i made you mess up," Luca said they hadn't started so it was okay. The flying girl then started to have a little chat with Luca while Rosalie was just watching them in awe. The next thing she knew, the other girl had transformed into what looked like a tiger. Soft looking caramel hair with black and white spots making a beautiful pattern. She then walked up to Luca and leaned up against him. "Does this help mister?" She had asked in an innocent tone.

When Rosalie finally got her composition back she spoke up in a voice that sounded wearily. "Hello Ms. fly-person-who-can-transform-into-a-tiger." Rosalie then started to step forward inch by inch until she was by this tiger looking thing. She then sat down a few feet away from it and just stared at it in fascination now rather then horror. 'It's still better then being home.' She mused and chuckled to herself at the thought. How she laughs at the most awkward of moment.

When the cat lady turned into an actual black and white oversize cat that he understood was actually a tiger, Luca froze. She walked up to him and rubbed herself on his legs if she had always known Luca and that there was no reason to not rub herself on his leg.

"Does this help mister?" She had asked.

Does this help??? Luca was mentally going nuts. I don't know if I don't know if I should run away or tell myself that this all just a dream and pinch myself.
Pinching didn't seem too bad and at least he would less cowardly. He pinched himself hard then waited a few seconds before opening one eyes and when he saw that it was still the bowling alley and that the tiger girl was still rubbing aginst his leg he opened his second eye.
"Um. . . you know. . . I'm not used to meeting . . . uuuuhhh," Luca didn't know how to talk to the tiger girl, "people? like you. . . so rubbing against my leg isn't really going to make me feel more at ease."
Suddenly that very lovely chocolate brown haired girl with flowers in it came and blurted something out to the tiger girl, apparently she was also quite fascinated.

"Well that was an unexpected reaction," Alpes said bluntly, "usually people run around screaming or occasionally faint."
This girl just stared at him and almost seemed amused by his presence, she even dared to say that he was wearing a costume. Since he preferred for her to not think that he was a human wearing a costume he walked up to her and sat back down again. Even sitting her was still enormous, he was as tall as her when he sat so his glowing red eyes stared into hers.
"How about you find out for yourself if I am in a costume or not and then I will tell you what really shouldn't be called out," Alpes said the bent his head forward a little, "Go ahead, pet me like you would pet your dog."
Alpes was feeling a little stupid and inferior but he didn't really have a choice and the only eyes watching him insult himself were the Duende and the Boggart and no one believed what they ever said except when they had proof.

Hydranys wandered around like a lost child in a shopping mall. He didn't belong here, unlike the rest of the 'monsters' of the ship, he needed to get out. It had been a year now already, but how much longer would it be until the other 'monsters' realized that he wasn't one of them? A whole year now, and he had still not found his way out...he needed to change his tactics about the situation...for once in his journeys, he considered that he might need the help of a human.

humans he thought in disgust. It wasn't a bad idea though, perhaps if he tried helping a human escape, it might raise his chance of escape as well. Ironically, just as he was thinking this, he heard commotion nearby. how long has that been going on? he wondered, he could be very oblivious at times, he knew this. He listened in closer, it seemed to be coming from the bowling alley room. He could just barely make out what sounded like conversation, but he wasn't entirely sure, and it was probably just a conversation between monsters anyways. But what harm would it do check it out?

After contemplating this, he made his decision, and made his way over to the bowling alley room. He cracked open the door to see what was inside. The griffin, the floating cat girl thing, and finally, a couple of humans. Just what he was hoping for! and the better part is that the monsters didn't seem like they were attacking the humans. He timidly and quietly made his way into the room and waited for someone to notice him first.

Kitty back off his leg, "Oh, i'm sorry i thought you were cold and tried to help." She changed back into her human form and tried to keep herself on the ground, "Sorry if i frightened you, when i came here everyone on the outside knew of nekos. I'm not anything to be feared believe me. i was the maid to count up until i was 15 and have been here for the last 111." she said, thinking if she told them somethings about her they'd calm down. "I'm not like the other creatures, those guys are just looking for their next meal. Me? i prefer fish and candy. I mean, I've never even been named, so people here just call me Kitty or Cat." she said, not being able to resist any longer and lifting about a inch off the ground.

When Kitty took a few steps back he felt himself calm down a bit. THen she said that she had been on this ship 111 years and that before she had gotten on the ship people knew of neko's. . . what the hell were neko's? Wait 111 years? She only looked like she was 16 maybe even younger!
"Wait, let me get this straight," Luca took long and deep breaths, "you are a neko, even though I don't know what that is, you are more than 111 years old and there are other creatures on this ship that possibly just want to eat us?"
Now that that was settled, Luca tarted to regret his curiosity and his want to just check out the odd ship at the docks. This was such a hard to believe story, creatures, hundreds of years in the past. . . What could Luca really believe? Well, the flying cat girl obviously. . .
"So what about that fish this that is walking on land? Is he nice?" Asked Luca when he noticed a weird blue fish staring that them with his completely black globular eyes.

Alpes the Griffin

Alpes sat still as Willow ran her slim fingers through his feathers, it had been such a long time that a human hand had caressed his neck and suddenly he remembered his companion from many years ago. His heart beat increased but he knew that he had to concentrate and keep that girl at ease.

"No, you cannot be real...Griffins don't exist. What is this insane place?!" She demanded, "What kind of sick joke is this?"

"I understand your panic," Alpes spoke soothingly, "but this is not a joke, this ship is filled with only creatures some who do not wish to feed on human flesh and others who live on this ship only for that purpose. I am Alpes the Griffin and I will help you out of here."
Alpes had just said that he would help her, he had found a goal, for so many years he had never thought about holding onto any certain goal. Why had he become like this, before he was indifferent about everything, he couldn't careless about the humans that were eaten or saved. Alpes stared at the girl in front of him with fascination, what was so special about her? He barely even knew her.

Hydranys flinched a little bit as a human boy noticed him. He was asking the floating cat girl thing if he was a nice monster. Hydranys had act on the situation now, he wasn't sure if any of the monsters really knew him that well, she could try and defend the boy in thinking that he trying to eat the boy...he did want to eat the boy...his stomach growled at the thought of human flesh - Hydranys quickly shook himself out of thinking this, he needed that boy or at-least one of the humans in this room to stay alive so that he could help them get off of the ship, that would be his ticket off the ship as well.

"Greetings...humans, and fellow monsters..." Hydranys clasped his finned hands together nervously "I believe that some of you are looking for a way off of the ship hmm?" Hydranys asked hopefully. He had never interacted with anyone on the ship before, humans or monsters. Though he had managed to never get caught eating a human before, so hopefully the monsters would suspect him of wanting to do such a thing. He could eat other things, like mosquitoes and various plants or fruits around the ship. That is what he would have to do if he wanted to get off this ship, he would need to hold back his human flesh cravings until he could get off the ship and into a different world. That meant he would also need to protect one, and so he would.

Kitty's eyes grew wide as she laid eyes on the fish creature and gasped in happiness, "Oh my, he's the biggest and cutest fish i've ever seen." She said, flying up to it. Kitty found every thing cute. She replied to Luca though still examining the fish creature, "Neko's are Cat/Human hybrids with the power to turn into said cat in which they are bred to be. Around my time off this boat, Nekos were solely bred to be the servants and maids of counts and their wives. We were to know no other life and were to never disobey." She cringed, "As you can see.." she pointed to her back which was facing everyone. "...I didn't follow those rules very well." She said,before finally backing away from the fish creature and turning back around to face everyone, "And a neko's average life span is about 378 years of age so i'm a teenager compared to other nekos." she said, flipping in the air until it looked like she was laying down on her stomach. "And yes, how do think other creatures survive with the doors always changing. But like i said mister, i prefer fish.......and sweat stuff." she said cheerfully before popping a piece of candy into her mouth.

This was just all too weird, a very big fish, a flying cat girl. Luca thought about all the kids his age that probably had dreams of being in his place but Luca had always thought only of what was real and dreamed of the things that he could grasp, like being a company manager or winning a price for having the best memory. But no, the one thing he had never thought of was a ship with a whole bunch of nice and mean creatures in it.
"Okay, so if I have understood all this then the best thing for me to do is get off this ship. . ." it was easy enough to say, but Luca remembered how the doors disappeared once they closed and they seemed to lead to different places," how do I get out?"
Luca felt sorry for Kitty and how she was treated a long time ago but luckily she was no longer badly treated, "Are you going to help us?" Luca asked Kitty and the fish.

Alpes could see how uneasy the girl was but she also seemed confident that if anything happened she could deal with it, and maybe if the library goblins attacked she could defend herself but if anything bigger came. . . Alpes spoke too soon. . . He felt the presence of a much stronger creature than him and the most blood thirsty he had ever met, he knew that presence but he still doubted.
There's no way, Alpes got onto his four legs and came closer to the girl so that he was sure that she wouldn't get hurt, she was in the Hall of Creatures when I had left and the door closed, it wouldn't reappear again until several hours.
While the girl babbled on about how she was stronger than she looked Alpes pushed the side of his body gently next to the girl's and then looked at her. He could see the fear in her eyes and the doubt but for now she needed to trust him or get eaten but he didn't want to alarm her.
"If you want to get off the ship, then climb onto my back," any second now, Alpes had memorized at what time the doors would appear and where, the door to the bowling alley would come, "hold on tightly."
There it was, on a large empty shelf at the top, a dark wooden door with checkered concave and convex squares.

Rosalie watched them in fascination and horror. A girl who can fly and an odd looking fish just started talking, and Rosalie couldn't keep up. Her mind stopped working for a second and she then realized they may pose a danger, although they sure don't look like it. The fish looked like he had human limbs but still wasn't human. His overall color reminded her of the ocean near the shore and he had what seemed like it, golden colored armor. 'What the crap?' She mentally thought trying to make sense of the situation. But what stuck her really odd was that she wasn't screaming or yelling bloody murder. In fact, she almost felt..welcomed. Which to her was a very strange sensation when it comes from creatures that don't exist and not your supposed 'family'.

"Are you going to help us?" She head Luca say and Rosalie nodded as well. If this place was filled with creatures that were like this who knows if there would be any 'rebellious' ones. Taking out a flower from her hair she started to do the 'He loves me. He loves me not routine' but with a rose and the saying; 'Am I saved? Or am I falling to my possible death'? She laughed and smiled at the ridiculously long name for a simple 'loves me' game. But the smile soon vanished when she got down to the last petal and it ended up as the latter. A sign perhaps?

Kitty stared at Luca for a while, "Yes, i'll help you but it won't be easy to get out. if you haven't already noticed." she looked over at Rosalie as she picked the petals off of one of the flowers that was previously in her hair. "Hey Rosalie, you look sad, would you like a piece of candy?" she asked, flying over to her and offering a red ruby colored candy. Kitty's favorites were the deep blue ones but the ruby red ones were a close second.
