Toto, I don't think this is where the food's at. It looks more like a library. And... You better not look. That librarian's topless. I guess it's okay. You're a dog. Dogs are always topless.

"Of course," I answer, grinning shyly at the attractive, apparently highly-sexed, greenish woman with large, bouncing breasts. A dryad, I realize, having never seen one before. Her combination of blue eyes and green skin and hair is incredibly striking.
My stomach growls noticeably causing the librarian to send a disapproving glance my direction, making me wonder if she might follow it with a hushing finger to her lips. Her sensuous lips, I think, amending myself.
"Um, well, it's not crucial," I say, "but... if there was some place I could get a bite to eat? That would be great. I'm afraid I don't have much money."
By not much, I wonder if she'll understand that really means none.
"And I'm not sure whose dog this is," I say, looking at the small dachshund-like animal near my feet. "He just sorta started following me around. I named him Toto." ”

Oh don't worry about money. This is a communal planet, everything is shared. Work is done by volunteers or else highly automated. Let's go over to the self-service cafeteria. Everything is owned by the community and managed by an elected Council. We are a protectorate of the Federation which sends us their wounded, tired, and depressed to help with their healing. All are equal and free. Try one of these apples. Almost everything that grows naturally on this planet is an aphrodisiac. Exports are forbidden since they destroy the ecosystem and imports are closely monitored. Leaving junk is discouraged but the robots take care of it. This water fountain is delicious - take a clean cup from over there. Would you like a vege-burger? We don't kill animals and we have ways to pacify the more aggressive ones. I think Toto might like one of these morsels. I don't really have a proper job here, I am not even an official volunteer, but I like to greet visitors and make them feel welcome. I also do basic first aid if needed and am a reserve police officer, but violent incidents are rare. We have Peace Monitors everywhere - they are a very sophisticated kind of robot.

Trees are looked after here, which is why the planet is popular with dryads. We care for the trees and eat their fruits. Only dead wood is used for fires. You may have noticed the absence of power vehicles - there are no fossil fuels on this planet and almost no manufacturing. We live by solar and wind power and are largely self sufficient. The robots are powered by photo-voltaic solar panels. There is little need to travel long distances, but we do have horses and bicycles and of course land striders. Land striders are large and fast but they eat a lot and take a long time to befriend. We don't force animals to serve us - they must be fed and befriended before they will help us.

I like to dance naked among the trees, sing softly to gentle music and swim in the lake.

Dryads have a high libido, but we have no males of our own species. Human and Elven males are only slightly compatible and have low stamina so its very hard to get pregnant, we need to have intercourse frequently in order to reproduce.
”

We also have fun amongst ourselves, with sister dryads, and other females. I like your body if you are interested in joining in one of our sessions.

What do you usually do for fun? We also have archery ranges, golf courses and sports facilities. Some people like to go sailing or boating. Sometimes I go horse riding. Obviously I prefer to be near trees.
