Rowan Robey's Story

Mathew sat infront of the television asleep after waiting for Rowan to call. He wasn't desperate that he would wait tirelessly so he decided to watch a bit of T.V while he awaited Rowan's call. He grunted as it started to vibrate and turned to his side and the phone fell as the third vibration ended as the default ring of an alarm clock blared out of the phone. It wasn't that he
didn't care about his phone, it was just it was what got his attention.

The boy shot up and quickly grabbed the phone and opened it up with a yawn. "Hello" he said then let out a yawn and checked the caller to see Rowan's name and smiled. "Sorry I've been asleep for a bit." he said with a small chuckle and looked around for his glasses. He found them on the table and adjusted them onto his face. He stood up and walked to a mirror and say his hair in an absolute mess."One moment please." he said then set the phone down. He quickly searched for a comb and let out a prayer, happy Rowan didn't wanna Facetime with him.

He smiled and sat back down happy and picked the phone back up. "Sorry about that had a bit of a problem. So how was your Coven?" he asked in a chipper tone, happy to hear back from the witch.

Mathew sighed as she started about the killing of the Mother Priestess. "No no it's fine I'm a good listener." he said slightly with a content voice. "If it was demons then wouldn't their just be some way to track them and see if it was there. If she was the leader she had to have some kind of tracking or something wouldn't there?" he asked then sat up truly intrigued by this. Magic was a bit of a strange thing but wouldn't dare say a word about it. He wondered if Rowan went to war. Would she get killed or have some traumatic injury sustained to her. It hurt his head and heart to think like that and ignored it as he calmed himself.

Mathew listened and smiled "Glad I could help." he said finding a comb and starting to fix his hair which would take a few minutes. He started to listen when a second voice ruptured his eardrum. "What the Hell." he said to himself then put the phone back up to his ear. "Who's Lotta?" he thought then listened to a whole half minute of thrashing and the phone being tossed. "Um that's alright I don't mind just, warn me a bit next time she's loud." he said and chuckled. He looked himself in the mirror and nodded. "Alright sure I'll see her, is Skype alright?" he asked going to his room and logging onto his computer which was almost always on standby.

He tried to fix his hair up a little bit more than it did currently and went to the hallway mirror while the computer took it's time. He had it slightly fixed up but from the look of the rest of him you could tell he's been asleep for a little. His eyes had a bit of dark under them and his smile was a bit tired too but he went back and sat down as he logged into Skype awaiting the girls.

Mathew smiled as he saw Rowan on the computer along with another girl who was on her lap. "Why thank you. " he said with a slight blush on his face. "I'm guessing you're Lotta, my name is Mathew." he said giving her a nice smile. "Oh, next time could you please lower your voice a bit ?" he said with a chuckle then sighed happily looking at Rowan.

He looked at the girl who he had once thought of as cold and steely, well everyone did and he sort of agreed since he wouldn't dare approach her. Now he was sitting infront of her looking at her through his webcam and she was now his girlfriend. He would never had believed himself unless he had experienced it himself. "Love is weird" he thought to himself and smiled adjusting his glasses a bit.

Mathew smiled and laughed a bit at the argument about his mobile. "Alright I understand." he said with a smile trying not to laugh. He watched the girls play around and it did seem as if Rowan was the more mature out of the two and Lotta was more of a little girl. He laughed happily as Rowan got red in the face. "Ticklish I may have to try that some time." he said with a slight grin on his face. He saw her fall off and got a bit wide eyed. "Oh dear." he said under his breath then saw her reappear at the bottom of the screen.

"Break her, no she was the one who uh, kinda broke me. I'm a bit too shy for my own good sometimes." he said nervously trying to hide his blush as he turned his head slightly, embarrassed. "Uh, Rowan you can tell the basic guise if you want, I need a minute." he said with a nervous laugh.

Mathew smiled as Rowan explained. She did basically get everything that happened their first time meeting. He then laughed as Lotta continued to joke around. She was kinda funny and he could actually hang around her if he needed too. "To be fair Rowan you didn't need to tell her you chose too." he said giving a mock smile.

Mathew swallowed and sighed as Lotta asked about his brothers. "Two younger ones. They are both complete assholes who care nothing about sports and winning the game more than anything else in the whole world. If you wanna meet them be my guest." he said raising any eyebrow and tilted his head to the side. "Anything else?"

Mathew listened to Lotta and was a bit confused by what "The last one" was. He sounded a bit like a brute would abusive and tough, two things he wasn't. It made his heart ache knowing this nice girl was once with an abusive boyfriend. Then Lotta's eyes glowed and the lid shut making the chat end. "Oh well." he said to himself then yawned not even bothering to turn off his computer as he went back and crawled into bed tired.

He drempt of Rowan and himself going and getting married. She was his soul mate but he wouldn't tell her for fear of weirding her out. He then drempt of Rowan with an abusive boyfriend hitting her causing her to fall to the ground with a bloody nose after being hit by the boy. It made him groan in his sleep and shudder slightly seeing his girlfriend being kicked around like that.

Mathew woke suddenly hearing the loud Ding from the computer from where he had forgot to turn it down. He fell from his bed which caused the camera on his computer to shake slightly as he stood up and got up the the computer showing only his face and his glasses slightly crooked as he fixed them and turned the camera back on seeing the girls. "Sorry I thought you were a bit angry or something." he said then let out a yawn and raised his glasses to rub his eyes. "So what's on your mind?" he said sleepily as he tried to wake himself a bit.

Mathew smiled back and shook his head. "No no I'm fine." he then thought and sighed. "Am I not supposed to know?" he asked and sat up a bit. He looked at her and her saddened face. He was sure it was the fight with the balled up girl in the blankets on her bed but something else looked like it was on her mind. "Rowan if there's anything you want to tell me please do. I can handle it, I don't want you to feel all bottled up, it isn't healthy."

Mathew let out a large sigh trying to take in what he had just heard. He looked back at the witch infront of him and Rowan seemed worried as usual. He thought of something to say but all that came out was a short sigh, too quiet to be caught by the microphone.

When he finally got some words in his mouth he spoke with a calm tone but his eyes showed worry. "I hate to hear that, I would never in my life ever strike you, or any woman for that matter." he thought for a moment trying to find the words to continue. "I'm not going to tell a soul about you powers even if you do get mad and want to break up with me. " he had gotten past that part so all he needed now was something to finish on.

"So if anyone finds out ever, you'll be turned into a human. Is it forever or just like for so long?" he wasn't sure what to say, the girl was genuinely scared and he was partially. It hurt him but he knew they had to talk about it a bit.

Mathew sighed as Rowan spoke she seemed almost depressed about even talking about someone finding out he knew about her powers. He saw her expression and sighed. She wanted to be held and embraced and just told it would be fine and she would just cling and try to calm herself down. "Look Rowan it's gonna be alright don't worry. I don't like to see you like this it makes me worry when you worry." he said biting his bottom lip and had a sudden urge to grab the girl and hold her until she would calm down then a little bit after.

Mathew shrugged. "Uh pretty tired. Sure we could talk later. You wanna maybe meet by the usual spot tomorrow?" he asked and yawned. He looked at his clock and sighed. "Wow it's starting to actually get later." he said then stood up and took his glasses off and stretched. "Yes I think I need to go to sleep." he smiled and brushed his hair from his eyes again, he needed a haircut but he liked his hair wavy and soft. "Good night sweetie." he said then waved goodbye and turned off his camera with a smile. He then sighed and went to bed, tired and fearful for Rowan.
