Addison Browning

Addison simply nodded. "Okay." She told him and then giggled when he nuzzled her shoulder. She wondered briefly if he knew her feelings for him. Everyone in the pack could see it. She wished he would acknowledge them but if he did he wouldn't be Griff. Even if he did. His pride wouldn't allow him to act upon them.
She watched him for a moment and smiled when he mentioned something to do with the pack. She covered her mouth with a hand, giggling as he tried to sound tough. She ran her hand through fur behind his ear. "You are a strong Alpha, Griff." She told him. "and you're not going soft, you just care. Is that so bad?" She asked him honestly. She knew that he wanted to come off as a ruthless leader but as dissocial as he was, he wasn't that. She wished that wasn't what he strived for then maybe he would love her back.

Devin Lanadelt

Devin sprinted through the forest, scenting the stink of the Cosmic Warrior pack. She crinkled her nose but stayed on her side of the border, especially since she didnā€™t like swimming. It took too much effort and was pointless. The forest was coming alive around her and her stomach growled in protest that they weren't doing something more productive. She briefly wondering about hunting down some food of herself and the beta but she catalogued the thought for later. Her mind was pulled from her surroundings when a distraction popped up across the border. Devin slowed to a lope, because the began stink to get stronger. It shouldnā€™t be that strong unless one of Cosmic's wolves were nearby. She scanned the opposite shore and sure enough a grey wolf sat on the shore staring over at their territory. Devin slowed and made sure to come into view but didnā€™t raise her hackles just yet. She watched the wolf before deciding to speak.

Hello. Am I interrupting something? ā€¦

The question was vaguely hinting that Devin was suspicious of the wolf but not offensively going after the question of her crossing the territory border. She flicked her ear and lowered her muzzle to sniffed the ground nervously, keeping her strangely colored eyes on the wolf. Devin raised her head after seeing that the wolf hadn't crossed yet and wagged her tail a bit, pleased so far. However, she still wondered what the wolf was doing.

(Crappy post is le crap, didnā€™t have much to write about :3

EDIT: Including Lyra ~)

Leroy Zante

Jez and Sasha were talking, a grey expression upon their maws. Of course Leroy had no idea what they were speaking about, he was greatly curious. Though his wolf ears were sensitive and amazingly powerful, if someone didnā€™t want anyone to hear a conversation, they would make sure of it, especially if they were part of the Dark Knight pack. It was very suspicious, but he could not exactly demand for them to tell him what they were talking about, even if he was the Alpha.

He searched their minds, only catching a brief shard of emotion here and there. Leroy gave up quite quickly, he was not one to pry and so ran onwards to catch up with Alex. He began nuzzling and greeting each pup that pounced his way. Of course they were not his own offspring, they were the last Alpha and Lunas, but they might as well have been his own kids, or brothers and sisters. "Everyone ready!?"

The Alpha then met eyes with Lyra, being her usual quiet self, he often over looked her but being honest it could not be helped. She had only been in the pack a week and was currently securing her place, but she seemed pleasant enough, he knew how it felt being brand new in a pack and having to learn how to fit in. Slowly Leroy approached, as though he was walking upon a minefield. "Are you coming hunting with us? You are welcome to," His voice was gentle and silk like.

Alex Johnson

Alex continued to play with the pups. She was a softy for the pups of the pack. Especially Timmy(NPC) once of the previous Alpha's son. He was just like her. Determine and wild. He was currently hitting her leg trying to tip her over which was never going to happen. A flash of a steak crossed her kind and her mouth watered and she heard Jez's voice. 'I agree lets hunt.' she said through their pack link after the Alpha spoke. The kids on her back had turned into their wolf form ready to catch some doe. Who's ready to hunt! she told the pups and they nodded and jumped up and down and poked at the Alpha waiting for his orders.

(Still learning how to use this website. Just a warning if i sound noobish. Not a noob to roleplaying though.)

Lyra Teanor

Stares at the Alpha shocked, then remembers that staring is rude and turns her attention back to the ground. " If i'm am allowed to, I will. I should of gone on the other hunting trips and hunted to help to support the pack. I apologize I did not..."
"I need to start pulling my own weight. I must look like an idiot to the rest of the pack"
Hopefully during this hunt she could show that she is of some worth and that she's not just a runaway. She also needed to prove to herself she was worth something.

But as she was thinking that she need to start pulling her own weight she remembered that the lead of the pack was talking to her! So she must be of some worth to have a leader talking to her. At this though she held her head up "I'd be glad to go on a hunt."

Jez barked happily as she turned and looked at the people behind her. " Betchya I'll get the largest! She pranced around until she heard Sasha's voice. She gave the girl a genuine nod. And responded to her.
It would be amazing if he returned my affections...but who knows.... She trailed off realizing she had said that for everyone to hear and not just her. She was glad she was in her wolf form or else she would have been blushing. Then her eyes noticed a deer grazing. MINE! She shouted happily as she rested on her haunches, ready to pounce like a cat...though she was a dog. She must have been a sight, her butt in the air, her tail calmly twitching. She didn't care, she had taught herself after the cats. She knew how to catch a deer. Her method worked for her.. she wasn't going to change it.

Travis Macintosh

Travis yawned once again, stretching his arms over his head. Just as he began to open his eyes he spied the Luna, Addison, starting to run off in her wolf form. Travis ran his left hand through his thick hair and thought, I should probably go after... But on the other hand... I could stay here and 'watch the fort'.

As he stepped out into the middle of their little circle of huts, tents and little decently-enough built log houses. It wasn't too much, but it was home. He glanced around slowly, looking around his pack's territory. It was peacefully silent, just how he liked it. Nothing to do, no commitments or worries or tasks that he had to do.

Travis lazily wandered to the pups' hut, he enjoyed playing with them, because he could then just take a nap with them. Since the Luna was out, he might as well keep an eye on them; they were good cuddlers, they alway kept him nice and warm. Shifting to his large white wolf form, he walked into the hut and curled up between the pups, who all slowly wiggled their way over and snuggled up against him.

Anabel woke up from her nap which wasn't very long. She stretched out and gave a great big yawn. She almos forgot that se was in the middle of the forest until she looked around. Her Alpha wasn't around so shedecided to catch up with him at the river where he said he would be. She stretched out her hine legs out once more and took off into the forest towards the river. When she got there she shifted before aproaching him. She was fully clothed and she fixed her hair. She was always trying to look nice for her alpha. When she went to greet him he was shirtless. I swear I love my Alpha Luckily in human form she could keep her thoughts to herself. "Hey."

Connor needed to attend to the rest of the pack. "Emma stay with Miriam please." He walked out of the infirmary to attend to te rest of the pack. Everyone seemed to be okay so he wasn't worried. He just couldn't stay with his Luna anymore. He was always getting paranoid over little things. He walked deeper into the territory and and sat on a rock to think quietly to himself. Connor mever told anyone this, but he hated being in his wolf form. It would bother him and he never saw a need for it. It was useful hunting, saving people, and fighting. He liked his human form. It wa sprivate and he didn't have to worry about his pack intruding his private thoughts.

Hayley followed Alex and the pack to the hunting grounds in her wolf form. She loved being in her wolf form. She felt free and could run all over the place without getting tired. Sometimes she would go days at a time in her wolf form. She heard Jez say that she could catch the biggest kill. Hayley smiled at her. She looked around for the Alpha. She found him talking to Lyra.

She dashed over to him and nuzzled at his legs. She loved the Alpha. Not romantically, but in the sense that he was the only father figure she had. "Hi Leroy." She exclaimed after nuzziling with him. Them she looked at Lyra. "Hi Lyra."

"Look, if you're wanting to hunt with us, you better keep up. I'm not slowing down if you're holding the group back." And with that he burst into his wolf form and sprinted off into the woods.

Sasha wagged her tail and walked up to Lyra, and nudged her, C'mon. The Forest is waiting! She knew what it was like to be alone, and she didn't want any of her pack mates to feel it. It was a terrible feeling, and Lyra seemed to be very shy.

Even though the Dark Pack seemed to be vicious and mean, and can fight like you wouldn't believe, but when together they are very nice and loving to each other. She was glad to be a part of this pack.

Looking back at Lyra she smiled and wagged her tail. Lets go.

"You are a strong Alpha, Griff. And you're not going soft, you just care. Is that so bad?".

She had a point, caring wasn't all that bad. He had to care, it was his duty to care. 'I suppose not. Thanks Addison. She always helped him with his little problems, despite how stupid or pathetic they may have been. If he hadn't made a promise to himself that he wouldn't let himself get distracted by mates, he would've thought he'd had feelings for her by now. Unfortunatly, a promise is a promise. If he were to have broken a promise to himself, he would've doubted his ranking within the pack, making it harder for everyone else.

'I don't know what I'd do without you sometimes He thought truthfully, You're a good person.. friend.. Er, a friendly person?.. Eugh, I give up'. He shook his cranium in annoyance. He'd messed up again. That was the second time that day. My apologies. I find myself in an endless state of confusion, unfortunatly...

Addison Browning

Addison smiled as he thanked her. She ran continued stroking his fur as he continued on. He called her a good person but more importantly a good friend. "That's what I'm here for." She smiled and frowned a little when he said he was in a state of confusion. "Well, What has you so vexed, Griff?" She said him looking into his amber eyes. Something was troubling him. It was almost like struggling with something and knowing Griff the way she, one of the things was probably his pride. He could never figured out just how to swallow it, if he weren't careful, he'd drown in it. "Let me help."

'Oh? Uh, nothing's got me 'vexed', I'm simply having trouble finding my words today' He explained, shaking his head as she said something about helping. 'Well, if I'm completely honest, I find it quite awkward having this big tradition about the Alpha and Luna mating.. I mean, I find you attractive and all, but I don't really want to.. y'know, 'mate'. I'm an adult 'n' all, yet being with a woman scares me. It's even more awkward because I grew up with you'. He couldn't stop himself from thinking what he did, it couldn't be helped. He needed to clear his mind, and his mind was out in the open at that time.

'I don't mean to sound harsh or mean, it's just the truth. One day, I definatly would like to settle down and have a mate, but now seems to soon.. y'know'. His ears drooped down and pinned to the side of his head, a small whimper escaping his muzzle. He looked weak, pathetic and soft. All the things he wanted to keep himself from being. 'It's not fair..'

Addison sighed. The truth in hus words nearly knocked her on her back. He found her attractive but not 'mate' worthy. That stung a bit. She just listened to him as he continued on and there was a small hint of hope in his words. "Who says you have to choose a mate now? You're the Alpha, you make the rules. You haven't anyone to answer to. So figure out what you want, no matter how long it takes..." I'll wait forever if I have too. She added in her head as she smooth her hand over his face. She dropped her hand then at the realiztion. He didn't necessarily feel the same way. She'd have to deal with that. She always had but at the same time, she had the small hope that he might. Oh well, She'd be by side regardless.

"Who says you have to choose a mate now? You're the Alpha, you make the rules. You haven't anyone to answer to. So figure out what you want, no matter how long it takes..." She said. Griff smiled, though it was easier said than done. Out of his entire pack, no one drew his attention much, the only one that was deemed worthy of being his mate was Addison. He fought back a blush as her hand brushed over his muzzle, but he frowned as she dropped her hand. Her touch felt somewhat nice. He'd like to ask for more, but that might seem a bit strange.

He didn't quite understand why he felt such and urge to ask, but it was overwhelming. 'Could you perhaps scratch my scruff? I'd do it myself but I'm too lazy to reach my paw back there and do it myself. Such a lame excuse, but it would have to do.

Addison nodded with a giggle. "Sure." She said and began to scratch softly. She held a smile on her face as she did so. She wondered briefly how it would be if or when he asked her. It would no doubt be in the typical Griff way. Hidden behind a tough outer shell. Then she thought darkly, what if someone challenged him as Alpha, she had no doubt he'd win but on the off chance that he didn't. Then would she be forced to be mated with someone else. Tradition dictates that the Alpha must have a Luna so unless someone challenged her as well and one, she would be forced to be with him. The thought of that sickened her but at the same time, Griff was tough. Very tough, even if he was affectionate with her while they were alone. He wouldn't be Alpha if he wasn't. She smiled at him. "How's that?" She asked him softly.

Leroy Zante

"If Iā€™m am allowed to, I will. I should of gone on the other hunting trips and hunted to help to support the pack. I apologize I did not..."

The raven furred male smiled lightly at her panic. "Hush. We were letting you settle in, stop worrying!" Leroy's voice was gentle but greatly amused. "You know I was exactly like you not too long ago. Itā€™s scary isnā€™t it? Being pulled into a new life full of change and unknown people. Don't worry, I promise you everything settles down. Change is scary, but itā€™s thrilling..." His words were pure white truth, and he was not saying them because he was the leader, he was saying them because he understood.

The alpha laughed at the feeling of pup snouts pushing into his thighs, begging for him to get a move on. "Alright alright!" Leroy laughed lightly. One particular pup caught his attention. Her name was Haley and she held boundless energy that Leroy admired. "Well hello there young Haley," He smiled, licking her ear lightly. Leroy then wandered back to the others, flicking his tail asking Lyra, Haley, Sasha and the only other male in the pack, Vince, to follow after him.

It would be amazing if he returned my affections...but who knows....

Leroy crashed into Jez's side, almost knocking her over. "JEZ HAS GOT A FANCY BOY!" He yelled out loudly, smirking as he did so. Despite being the leader he acted in a very childish and pup like way, but that was what made him fun, right now was not for grey stressful serious conversations.

He then noticed she was watching a Elk, not too far away from the rest of its herd, but alone and vulnerable. Leroy sent a signal to his pack mates asking them to slowly close in on it and separating it from its group even more.

"Well hello there young Haley," Haley laughed a little when Leroy licked her ear. Her ears were always ticklish. Then he went up to the rest of the pack and Haley trailed not too far behind him. She was closer to Alex though. Then Haley heard Jez's thought about some guy, but it didn't make sense to her. Of course the alpha made fun of her. Then he got a little serious when the he saw an elk. Being the ball of energy she was she ran up next to the Alpha so she was one of the first to take it down. She was trying her best not to run after it.

I want to chase it. She thought. Even if she never caught it chasing it was more fun. She knew no one would approve since every one was here trying to get some food so she just thought about other things.

Katsumi Akane

Katsumi woke up with her dagger at the ready. She was breathing rapidly and it took a few seconds for her heartbeat to return to normal. She blinked a few times and realized that she was crying. She quickly wiped the tears with the back of her hand. ā€œHaving nightmares again. I thought I outgrew thatā€ Katsumi muttered. She sheathed her dagger and got up. Stretching a few times she looked around, taking in her Spartan surroundings. A table, a chair, a chest with a lock and a pallet, thatā€™s good enough for her. She never wanted more.

She heard her stomach growl and she winced, she would have to hunt to eat. ā€œAnd a bath! I need one.ā€ Katsumi said in a hushed tone. She rummaged through her chest until she found suitable clothing. She quickly dressed and strapped her dagger to her right thigh. She stepped out of her hut. The village is slowly coming alive with people coming out of their huts and going about their business. She started walking to the direction of the stream. She needed food in her belly then train.

Lyra

Lyra saw the elk that Leroy wanted the group to take down, but she didn't go after it. She felt as if it were not her turn to even try to participate in the pack's hunts.

"Hunts are meant to take place between closely bonded members of the pack." she felt completely out of place. She knew they were trying to show her kindness and understanding.

"But they don't understand. How could they?" Lyra was so weird and different. She looked at Leroy admiring his leadership and humor. Then looked to Hayley and wished she still had the precious innocence that Hayley should hold dear, even if she wants to grow up.

She then completely pushed all these thoughts away by foolishly going after the elk. In normally wolf hunting tactics, this approach wouldn't of worked. Running straight at an elk is a stupid thing to do but Lyra knew she had to prove herself and start to believe in herself. She hoped her speed would be able to match the elks if it tried to run. "I am supposed to be a wolf of shadow. Not speed!" she remembered. But at this point in the sprint she didn't care anymore.

Her sleek black body rushed across the snow until she was a nose away from the elk. It began to run but it was too late,Lyra was close enough to pounce. And that she did. Looking like a fool by jumping on the elk's back and clamping down on it's neck. The blood gushed into her mouth as the elk let out a call to it's herd. But the herd was long gone.

Devin Lanadelt

Devin watched the wolf for a bit more beginning to decide against conversation. She was satisfied with the wolf staying on their side of the border. She bared her teeth and lowered her head to reinforce her next statement.

ā€¦ Okay. Well I have to go. Please donā€™t cross the border. Devin let her fangs disappear back under her lips with her next comment. And pleasant wishes to you and yours.

With that, the brown wolf let her fur flatten as she returned back into the shrubbery that led through her side of the forest. The bushes pulled at her fur but she ignored them and pushed through to the clearing. Devin glanced up at the sky and saw that there was no reason to rush yet so she sped up to finish her patrol of the border so that she wouldn't have to rush her hunt later.

Devin paused, crouching underneath an oak tree. She had finished her border patrol easily enough. The urge to hunt had overwhelmed her and eventually she had ended up following the faint scent of a rabbit, which had led her to a grassy clearing shrouded by tall trees that would shade the area when the sun was strong. She stilled as the rabbit hopped over to another patch of springy grass, unaware so far of the danger it was in. It pointed ears rotated nervously and its black eyes were open with attentive awareness. Devin watched itā€™s tiny nose twitch slightly and in response she pinned her ears. Stealth was never a good trait for her although she knew how to be quiet. The rabbit raised its head and she stopped breathing, hoping that it hadnā€™t noticed her, but then it hopped to another patch a few feet away and she slowly exhaled with relief. Devin crept forward, making sure she didnā€™t step on any twigs or leaves that would give her away with a slight sound. As the brown wolf edged up on the clearing and was a foot or more away, she sprung up from her hiding spot and snapped her jaws down on the rabbitā€™s foot. The rabbit shrieked and kicked back, managing to hit her in the nose but it was too late. Devin dragged the rabbit back and placed her paw down on the rabbitā€™s chest before delivering a quick bite to its throat. She didnā€™t like to play with her food. It was disrespectful.

Devin had found one other rabbit during the hunt although it happened to be much smaller. Prey, was indeed prey however. She strode confidently into the camp with the rabbitā€™s dangling from her jaws and jogged over to her own hut. It was made of log and clay substance, and while much smaller than the others; she preferred the more naturalistic touch to it. Inside, it had a bed of grassy fronds and feathers on a raised platform of wood. One thing about Devin was that she much preferred her wolf form to her human form. So it was normal for her to sleep in a bed that was made of the forestā€™s supplies. Beside that in a contained rock circle was a small fire that would keep her furry body warm at night and another few feet from that was a firewood stack that she kept handy. The only other things inside were a basket with human clothes, and some books to read when she tired of running around at all hours of the day.

Devin didnā€™t enter her hut but set the rabbits down beside it so that she could come back later. However, she began to doubt her idea and she ended up staring at them for a while before she nosed them right inside her home, feeling better about hiding them. She scampered back to the pupā€™s hut where she sniffed out the scent of the Star Shot beta, Travis. She quietly entered and let the peaceful scenery draw out a wolfish smile although it faded as she approached his slumbering body, inspecting the rise and fall of his white fur. When she was close enough without disturbing the pups, she leaned forward and pressed her cold nose to his shoulder, nudging him gently. Travis. Wake up.

Travis Macintosh

Travis was so warm and comfortable with all the little pups cuddled up with him like he was a big hot furry white pillow. Suddenly a soft nudging with a cold nose, gently pulled Travis from his deep slumber. He grumbled and groaned quietly, still half asleep as he responded to the mental voice belonging to the cold nose. Nooo... I don't wanna get up...

Travis did not register who the voice and nose belong to yet, still in a sleepy haze. He slowly lifted his large head, nearly the size of some of the pups around him. Blinking slowly and weakly, Travis opened his eyes. Devin... What are you doing here? Travis said as he tried to figure out if she was real or a dream (a fairly common occurence). You're early... I mean, it's early.

Travis let out a large silent yawn, stretching his long thick tongue out. Travis slowly began to open his eyes, trying to force himself awake enough to find out if he could just go back to sleep. He really liked having Devin around. She was much more active and dutiful than he was, which meant he had less to do. Besides she always listened to his stupid stories, that actually made him happy.
