Alex O'Conolly's Story

'You must find the others before it's too late' She couldn't help but grumble to herself at the memory of those words. It wasn't exactly a hard mission to send her on, I mean if they decided they didn't want to come with her she would just throw them over her shoulder or knock them out. Although she may get charged with abduction if anyone saw what she was doing.

She felt the body go rigid beneath her grip on the Manriki chain, sighing to herself as she released the chain from around the guys neck, letting his body drop to the floor. Although the poor dude appeared dead he wasn't, he had only passed out due to lack of oxygen. Normally she would of killed the guy, but if she did the government would of known. And since they were trying to get the kids to safety as quick as possible she had no choice.
Flicking down her chain against the ground, she began to tie it around her wrist in the way of a bracelet. She began making an exit from the alleyway, sending one last glance at the pile of men laid across the ground whilst wearing suits.


Upon sending the text, she made her way over towards a large house. The house of James Landin. Although she wasn't sure If this was his full time house, she did know that this was his residence as of the current point in time.
Looking down at her attire as she made her way towards the entrance of the house, she wasn't exactly dressed to impress. She currently had on a pair of black skinny jeans, a plain white t-shirt, her usual leather jacket and her trusty combat boots. Banging her fist against the door hard she waited for someone to answer. And if someone didn't open this door within two minutes she was going to break it down.

Derek's phone began to buzz frantically in his lab coat pocket. He was in the lab located in his basement running a few tests on Alex's blood to see how her abilities were progressing. Derek had to stop his work to check his phone and realized it was a message from Elysia. The message read:

Collecting James Landin, be around in an hour. Have the preparations read, were making a move now!

Derek left his lab and made his way into Alex's room to pack her things. She was currently at school so he was putting everything she needed into a bag and threw it into the back of the car. He made sure not to forget her guitar or two skateboards knowing she would kill him if he did forget.

He then packed everything he need which included all of the research his father recorded, his laptop with his recorded research, and blood samples that he was using to test how he could alter an assassins abilities and cause them to evolve. Derek wasn't very far in progress and most tests proved to be failures. But of course that didn't stop him from trying.

Derek called Alex's school and informed them that she would be taken out of class early today before hanging up. He drove to the school in his father's old pickup truck and parked in front of the entrance. He then went into the school to look for Alex.

Derek's phone had been buzzing on the drive to Alex's school but he hadn't answered it. His only focus was getting Alex out and on a plane to the states to meet the others. He had their tickets and passports sitting in the glove compartment with their bags in the back. He put his phone in his coat pocket and walked into her school. Derek met with the secretary and she directed him towards Alex's classroom. He took her out of class and walked at a slightly frantic pace back to the house. Alex was behind him asking questions but he wasn't even listening to her at that moment and opened the car door and stepped in. He pulled out his phone and read the two messages from Elysia:

James house has been destroyed, moving onto next target; Richard Valois.

Collected James. Will be around shortly. Will explain the situation then.

Derek quickly sent a message back to her still ignoring his sister.

I have Alex with me now. We will be boarding the plane in an hour and be in Chicago tonight.

Derek turned to his sister and spoke in the calmest way he could, "All of your questions will be answered in time. All you need to know is that we are going to the states now and that you'll understand all of this soon enough." Derek started the car and began driving towards the airport. Alex was silent for a bit then spoke again. "You better not have forgotten my guitar. Derek couldn't help but laugh at her comment. It was so like his sister to turn a 'bad' situation into something humorous.

Soon enough, they were boarding the plane and on their way to Chicago. Derek was on his laptop the whole time going over his research and all of the data he collected on Alex and the assassins. He knew all of their abilities. Even if the hadn't discovered them for themselves yet. Alex's were currently dormant by their father's doing. He created a sort of pill that she had to take daily to keep her unique ability hidden until it was time. Derek only hoped that this wouldn't have her fall behind in her new training...

Alex was currently asleep next to him with her ear phones in blasting Sum 41. She had no idea what was going on and Derek worried what she would think of him and their father once she learned the truth.

The plane ride from Dublin was a long one but Alex had slept through the whole thing. She had more questions for her brother and thought the whole thing was rather sketchy. She figured she should just be patient for now so she could get her answers. Alex already had multiple theories about what it was. Derek was really like the guy from breaking bad and actually cooking up drugs in his lab and was on the run from cops so they had to leave the country or some other dealer was after him so that's why they had to come to Chicago. The other theory was that people were after him because he made some shocking genetic discovery that has other scientists pissed off and after him because he's too young to be that successful. Alex kept her theories to herself and hoped whatever it was her was hiding was something juicy.

They took a cab from the air port to a hotel in the city. Derek was on his phone the whole time texting away while Alex stared out the window(she theorized he was texting some sort of secret lover). She'd never been to america before and found it to be interesting. Everyone talked funny here to her but it still seemed interesting seeing something in person versus in the movies.

They arrived at the hotel and Alex dumped her stuff onto the bed closest to the window. The hotel didn't look like much but the bed was comfy enough. Alex crashed on top of her stuff and took an hour long nap. She woke up to find her brother on his lap top and he looked up at her and grinned. "You fancy checking out a disco?" Alex laughed when her brother referred to the club as a disco. She then shrugged. "Why not?"

James quickly grew bored of the conversation Richard and Elysia were having. He spotted a group of young, attractive girls and made his way casually over to them. "Ladies." He took the hand of one of the girls and kissed the back of it. They all giggled in their girly way and bumped up the charm as he continued to flirt with them and get a few numbers.

"If you want to know the truth then follow me. Now."

James' attention was brought back to Elysia and he left the group of girls. He promised them that he'd call on of them though that was a lie. He'd only hit on them for fun and didn't care for seeing them again.

He followed behind Elysia and smirked as she threatened the security guard. "You lay one hand on me, and I swear that I will break every bone in that one hand." That smirk stayed on his face as he passed the security guard. "Best not to mess with the princess." He teased.

"Excuse me?"

"Did I stutter?" James walked out of them club and away from the security. A fight with him would have been amusing but James was more curious about what Elysia had to say.

"So princess, what is it the truth?"

Alex sat in the passenger's of the van as they drove down the street. Derek was going a bit above the speed limit and Alex had no idea how Derek even acquired this van. He turned back to look at her. "I need you to be eyes and help me find a girl."

"What sort of girl?" Alex teased.

"Elysia. She's blonde and will be accompanied by two men about her age." Alex just nodded and looked out the window. she could tell now was not the time to be asking her millions of questions. She spotted a group in an alleyway like how Derek described and told him to stop the van. She then opened the doors and called out to them.

"Oi! Get in ya bastards!" She waited for them all to get in before closing the door and climbing back to her seats. She looked over the three before turning to her brother. "Americans are weird... Derek ignored her and looked into the rear view mirror at Elysia. "You're missing one.

"Missing one? There's more?" Alex asked and Derek only nodded in response. Alex turned and looked at Elysia. "So tell me love, what the hell is going on?"

Richard clambers into the van, still unsure what exactly was happening but the chick had a knife and proved she was more then capable of using it, so good enough reason for him to do as she says for a minute. "You know Elysia, if you wanted to bring him down." He says as she clambers in "You could've asked for a weapon." He feels for his twin pistols and Staff under his jacket, ensuring they are still there before continuing. "So, will someone please explain as to why more people are coming after me then usual, and for the first time arent cops or gangsters?" He asks as he gives a polite nod to Alex. "Because I for one would like to know what the Hell is going on here."

As soon as the van door opened, Elysia jumped into the back as quickly as possible, Richard and James following suit.
"Yes there is one more Alex" She said, grabbing a laptop from underneath the chair as she booted it up, loading up so encrypted screen.
"Derek you know where to go correct? "She shouted through the back of the van.

Turning towards the three others who each had a look of confusion on their face. Elysia wanted to tell them the truth now, but knew she had to wait until they got back at the base so herself and Derek could explain it to them in detail.

"Let's just say everything will be revealed shortly."
