Freya gave an aggressive growl as she brought her weapon down on a foot soldier, not even bothering to electrify him. It was enough just to slice the man clean down the middle. She was around the man and working on eliminating three men at once by the time his blood was spattering about. She caught sight of a few large mech troops, which Braego promptly took care of, so she mainly focused on the hordes of troops swarming in her direction. At once, she realized there was too many to not use electricity on. So, with another strong growl, the scythe seemed to come to life in her capable hands, bolts and sparks flying about the main blade. With a cry of strength and exertion, she swung the large, powerful weapon horizontally, cleaving the first line into two and, for all intents and purposes, frying the men behind the front line. It went back a few rows before the spark died out, but by that time the mass had slowed a bit, hesitant to confront the angry demigod.
Despite her raging battle fury, when she caught sight of her brother, she waved and shouted, “Enjoying yourself so far, Braego?” She turned to slice another man in half.

Braego turned and brought his hammer down on an unsuspecting HYDRA tooper, leaving his body as little more than a crumpled heap.

“Enjoying yourself so far, Braego?”

Freya's voice called to him from across the battlefield. Her brother laughed before kicking an advancing trooper in the chest and sending back into the ranks of his bretheren.

"They're not frost giants!"

The Asgardian prince said before pausing to let loose a lightning bolt from his hand, blasting a mech clean off its feet.

"But they make up for it in numbers!"

He finished with a grin before he took a step back and lifted the hammer high above its head. The Bane of Jotumheim became alive with arcing lightning before Braego roared and brought the hammer down onto the ground sending out a shockwave that obliterated the forces infront of him in a wide arc. The earthgave way to the force of the impact leaving nothing but destruction in its wake.

Zach, who had noticed all the 'fun' that the two otherworlder's were having, regretted his 'safer' choice in taking a less guarded approach.

"Oh well", he muttered as multiple flashes of lightning destroyed the ranks of their enemies. He turned towards Lark. "So, we going?" he walked up to the door that led into the facility and promptly kicked it in. He was surprised at the ease in which he kicked the door open. Must be his strength, because personally, he had never kicked a door down before.

A guard at the end of the room turned at the noise of his intrusion and opened fire. Zach blocked with his shield, which definetly wouldn't break under fire from such a weak weapon. Ironically, he was using an old MP40, which didn't even cause Zach to recoil. Instead, he walked forward, bullets ricocheting bullets in many directions. When he reached the soldier, who was desperately trying to reload. The doomed soldier recieved a shield bash, killing him instantly, much to Zach's surprise. He forgot how hard he could hit, and was hoping to kill him with his sword, but there were others....

"This room is clear, come on, fair maidens!" he took up an older english accent as he shouted.

Jordan watched as the battle began, he took a couple deep breaths and then he jumped, he forced the gamma rays in his blood to churn. Jordan began to grow and his skin turned green, twenty feet of the ground he was fully transformed, he wore a pair of black spandex pants under his jeans so he still had the spandex on, his clothes dropped to the ground, Jordan smirked as he landed on three HYDRA guards and crushed them.

Jordan stood and roared a feral ear shattering blood curdling roar. (the roar- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g3BGbwwD ... re=related ) Jordan looked as some HYDRA guards fled and others shuddered in fear. Jordan then looked at Braego and smiled.

"They're not frost giants!" Braego said.

Jordan smirked. "I am." he said to himself. Jordan looked at the demi-gods and he ran over to them. "Need any help?" he asked them. Jordan's voice was very deep and horse, it was like his words were made of lead.

"Need any help?"

Freya was so surprised at the almost unrecognizable voice, her scythe fell short of a full swing and she was almost completely mobbed. As the men rushed forward, she growled a ferocious growl and swung her scythe at full force. Limbs and body parts flew in every which way, all but drenching her lithe figure in the crimson blood of the dead. Without looking at him, she kept going at the soldiers and called out to him, "Sure. Why not?"

Jordan smiled. He took a run at a squad of HYDRA soldiers and he grabbed one man and another on in each hand and then he knocked their heads together, he heard a crack and the other HYDRA agents ran away into the distant land. Jordan then picked up a huge rock about 5 feet in length and width and he threw it at a group of HYDRA killing all but two of the original seven of them. Jordan cringed a little. He didn't like to fight but when he had to it was fun for him, yet he tried to avoid it because he liked it so much.

Jordan scared himself with how he liked violence, that's why he hated fighting, he wasn't himself, it wasn't like him.

Lark looked to her side and saw that Stark had her suit on and took a step back in surprise, not recognizing her at first. Lark chuckled at her, gave a joking smile, and said in a jokingly mocking voice, "Guess ya weren't kiddin' when ya said it ain't as sexy."

Valentina laughed, placing a hand on her hip in what would have normally been a rather provocative pose, and said “You’d be surprised how many guys actually like it.” She momentarily thought back to a few rather entertaining evenings involving the suit, multiple men, and various substances. Laughing to herself she looked back up and saw Braego taking a few steps towards her. He stopped only inches away from her and though she was exceptionally tall, especially with the added inches in the suit, Braego stood over her as a mass of golden muscle and testosterone.
Braego's eyes drifted down her frame before rising to meet and lock with her eyes.

"Hmm.... Impressive. If your magic suit holds you may not need me to save you after all."

“I built it. It will hold.” She replied confidently, gaze unwavering, and felt the spark of chemistry between herself and the burly demi-god. “I do not need saving.” She added in a harder voice than before, irritated that he assumed that he would be the one saving her. Yes, he was a demi-god, but she already had the feeling he would barrel into battle without thinking. Actions like that were dangerous and as far as she was concerned she was more likely to have to save his ass.

"Hey guys, maybe this is just the sneaky inner assassin blood talkin', but maybe instead of just blowing things up, we sneak in there, Stark gets all that crap off their computers that we were told to get, and then we blow stuff up." Lark looked around.

Val looked away from Braego’s dark eyes and towards Lark with an impressed smile, “At least there’s two of us in this group that can use our brains. I’m with you, Lark.” She said casually, as though what she said was not an insult to everyone else.

"Hmm... I know what we should do." he started. "The two gods, and Hulkster can be a distraction..." he looked over at Braego. "Because as much as I'd like to whoop some ass with this god right here...I'm afraid I might steal all his thunder." he joked. "Lark, Stark and I can sneak around the other side of the base and destroy whatever they've got in terms of plans and whatnot on their computers." he looked back around to the others. "Just throwing it out there..."

She considered this plan for a moment and then shook her head, “Before anyone blows anything up I should do a scan for-“ She began but Braego stepped forward and spoke.

"My sister and I can divert the forces inside on our own. Leave the beast."

A moment later he had taken off to the sky with Freya on his heels. She glared after the pair in annoyance, “They’re going to get us killed.” Valentina said under her breath. Though she was not certain, there was the distinct possibility of highly unstable matter being in the plants. Since HYDRA was making weapons of war they could not just begin blowing things up aimlessly. If the lightning struck a building with a reactor or unstable matter used in making some of the more disastrous bombs… then it would be lights out for everyone in a very wide radius. Yet, everyone seemed happy to rush off without a true plan. Idiots.

"WHOA!" in a panic, he started messing with the controls more, throwing him in different directions until utimately, he found the ground.

She snapped out of her thoughts and looked down at Zach with a laugh, “Come on, Golden Boy. Don’t touch things you don’t understand.” Valentina said as Lark nudged him to get up. Though Zach was a good looking guy she had her doubts about him in other ways. There was no information on how well he fought in battle so she was interested to see him do his thing.

After some more words between the group Lark shot and a few arrows and ziplined to one of the buildings in the distance. Captain America’s son soon followed unsteadily on the jet pack while Jordan ‘hulked out’ and took off after the demi-gods leaving Valentina alone. Quickly she put her helmet on, a quiet clicking sound signaling that it was connected. In front of her eyes a complex screen appeared giving her details on everything around her.

“Good evening, Miss.” The calm voice of EVE said in her ear as Val scanned the buildings with the advanced technology of her suit, “What are we looking for?”

“The main research lab. I need to get to the heart of the system quickly and shut down everything before they have a chance to transfer any of the data to another base.” Valentina said as she read through the information that was appearing in front of her, as though it was actually popping up over buildings.

“Very smart, Miss. Readings show an immense amount of connecting systems in Wing G to the North East, building 34.” EVE said, causing Valentina to turn her head in the direction of the building. Through the enhanced vision of her suit she was able to zoom in like a telescope and see that the building was connected to the one that Lark and Zach had taken off to. At least they were having a bit of luck.

“Scan for radioactive matter, uranium, plutonium, tritium, and deuterium.” Valentina instructed EVE as she took to the air. The jets on the suit were nearly silent and allowed her to blast through the air almost unseen. In the distance she could see the flashes of lighting and screams as thunder and gun fire filled the air where the ground fight was going on.

“Of course. You suspect larger weapons, then?” EVE questioned, running the search through her suit as she flew.

“Possibly. This plant is too large to only be used for constructing ground warfare weapons. Based on the design of the buildings I think they may be developing fission weapons, perhaps even boosted fission weapons.” Valentina said, slowing down and landing next to Lark on the top of the building. Zach was already inside, judging by the gunfire, but she was waiting for the results of her scan.

“Traces of Tritium and Deuterium are present in Wing C, buildings 10 to 13. They are concentrated, though unmixed based on the calculations. But-“ EVE said, reading off the results of the scan, but Valentina knew what she was going to say next.

“But they are highly unstable.” Valentina finished, looking over towards where the gods and hulk were fighting. They were near the front, far enough away from the buildings for now, and she could only hope they wouldn’t go crazy and start blowing things up. There was no time to warn them, not if she wanted to shut everything down, and so she made the choice to go after Zach and Lark in the hopes of finding the lab.

Lark looked over at Zach with a chuckle. "Yeah, so much for quietly," Lark muttered under her breathe as Stark landed next to her. Lark heard Stark say something about 'highly unstable' and raised an eyebrow at the suited girl. She looked over at Stark and said only slightly sarcastically, "Now I ain't a genius, but that doesn't sound too good, Starky." Lark looked back to Zach who was fending off some guards and sighed, rolling her eyes. "Ya can tell me later, eh? Right now we gotta help Post Boy over there." Lark gave Stark a grin and went off after Zach.

Lark stood slightly behind Zach, shooting arrows straight into the machines and guards that came around the corner. There was a lull in the stream of enemies, seeing as they were probably more concerned with the large bolts of lightning hitting the facility at the time rather that an iron robot, a guy with a sword, and an archer. Lark quickly picked the arrows she had lost off the ground and looked around the corner into an even longer hallway. She had just decided the coast was clear and was about to step out when a bullet hit the door frame near her head. Lark took a step back before looking back around the corner more slowly only to see a group of guards running down the hall toward them.

Lark made a split-second decision and turned to Stark and Zach. "Get back," she said quietly and then, seeing as Stark probably wouldn't need to follow her next peice of advice, looked over at Zach, saying, "And you, cover your ears." With that she pulled an arrow out of her quiver, strung her bow, and stepped out, crouching quickly in the middle of the hallway. She shot the arrow directly at one of the front guards and he fell back into the rest of them. It slowed them down just enough for Lark to hop out of the middle of the hallway and cover her ears as the arrow exploded and knocked the rest of the guards out. She looked up pointedly at Zach. "See. This is why sneaky and silent is far superior to loud and brash."

"Now I ain't a genius, but that doesn't sound too good, Starky." Lark looked back to Zach who was fending off some guards and sighed, rolling her eyes. "Ya can tell me later, eh? Right now we gotta help Post Boy over there." Lark gave Stark a grin and went off after Zach.

Valentina spared no time and took off after Lark and Zach. While the suit was incredibly strong it moved with ease around her and was considerably quiet. Certainly it was louder than one could tip toe but, all things considered, it was surprisingly silent in it's movements. The screen in front of her eyes was showing her which direction to go to get to building 34 and, hopefully, to the heart of the systems. However she couldn't get there until a path was cleared.

Lark made a split-second decision and turned to Stark and Zach. "Get back," she said quietly and then, seeing as Stark probably wouldn't need to follow her next peice of advice, looked over at Zach, saying, "And you, cover your ears."

Val could see the approaching squad and though she had little fear in the guns they had she did as Lark said, simply out of respect for the girl. Out of the entire group she felt the most about of liking towards her, though that wasn't saying a lot considering how little she enjoyed this situation. The arrow that Lark had shot suddenly exploded, the force shuddering the walls around them, but Val barely felt a shake from within her suit.

She looked up pointedly at Zach. "See. This is why sneaky and silent is far superior to loud and brash."

"Unfortunately I'm going to need a little bit of that loud and brash right now." Valentina said, triggering her face shield to go up so she could look at the pair and talk freely to them, "I need to get to building 34. It's right next to his one but from my scans it is heavily guarded. I could easily blast my way inside but then I would draw too much attention and I need some time to get into the system and wipe it clean; I can't have these idiots barging in on me constantly." She explained cooly, as though this was a Sunday afternoon and they were discussing the weather, "You two will have to draw them out and I will go in through that corridor," She said, gesturing with her red and gold iron arm to the long hallway to their right, "I'll be as quick as I can." Valentina said and turned to make her way down the hall before looking back over her shoulder, "Also, stay away from the front of the complex. Three of the buildings are full of tritium and deuterium." Sensing that they would have no idea what that meant she added, "One spark and it will blow. Let's hope the blood thirsty trio doesn't go near it either."

Without wasting another moment she turned and took off down the hall, shield sliding down back over her face, and raced towards building 34.

She looked up pointedly at Zach. "See. This is why sneaky and silent is far superior to loud and brash."

"I have a feeling in some ways we might be polar opposites. You're a female, I'm a male. You like bows, I like swords. I kick ass, you have ass." he laughed. "But, to each their own."

"I'll be as quick as I can."

Zach had to try his hardest not to break. Harder than anything else he had to do. Why? Because it was the perfect opportunity to let a "That's what she said." out. He finally let the urge pass, even though that was in fact, what she had said.

"Kill stuff while you mess with the mainframe? Works for me." he didn't have any problem with that plan as the gorgeous women in the deadly suit of armor left them. "Well, stand back and watch how a professional 'Asskicker' does things." he shot a look at Lark before hopping off of a catwalk that was just around the corner. When he landed, he looked straightforward, not seeing a single soul. "Where the hell is everybody?"

He was quickly answered by the sounds of soldiers and machines behind him. "Oh." he laughed sheepishly before he turned and faced the crowd. The crowd was not actually a crowd. It was an army that was shoved into the building, multiple mechs and soldier scattered across the place. Before he could scan out too much, he heard something in German he couldn't literally understand, but the tone gave it away.

"OPEN FIRE!" is what he assumed the man shouted as that's exactly what they did. The hero qucikly reacted, as was expected with his abilities and blocked with his shield. The fire gave away for just a second, and the first thing Zach did was sprint straight for the closest mech.

It swung it's arm, hoping to hit the soldier, but did not prevail. It was effortlessly evaded and followed by a counter which appeared in the form of Peacemaker slicing a portion of it's arm off. These machines weren't that well built, at least not in comparison to Iron Man's suit. Then again, that's comparing a hut to a mansion now isn't it?

Oil from the machine's arm spewed everywhere, making walking a taxing task, as you'd have to try hard not to slip. This gave Zach an idea. He laughed but not before blocking another few rounds with his shield.

"Let's see your bow do this!" he shouted an obvious taunt towards his ally. "GRRRA!" he grunted as he sprinted towards the machine, just before he reached the oil covered floor, he hopped slightly and landed in a pose not unlike riding a skateboard. His sword arm was extended as he slid towards the machine very rapidly. The sword pierced the machine's front plates and came out the back and Zach rode the machine towards the ground, where the driver layed motionless. Blocking yet another wave of bullets, he pulled his sword out with a grunt and looked up at the assassin, a grin appearing across his face.

Lark gave Stark a short nod, ignoring Zach's idiotic comment as she followed Stark. Lark heard the sound of running footsteps and turned to see the machines and guards finally come down the hallway toward them. "Looks like they invited everyone to the party," Lark muttered under her breath. She stepped up to stand next to Zach, determined to prove that bows could be just as good as swords. She stood next to him, cutting down enemies along side him like an ally would. In truth, they were polar opposites, but sometimes opposites attract and Lark had the faintest thought that they would work good together.

'Let's see your bow do this!' he shouted an obvious taunt towards his ally.

Lark snorted, but watched him charge and cut the machine down in a bit of astonishment that she would absolutely never admit to. Lark couldn't suppress the chuckle as he stood and grinned at her. "Alright, alright, pretty good. I still feel like punchin' ya in the face though." She continued to chuckle at the man.

However, her chuckle was cut short as another machine rounded the corner and headed straight for the unsuspecting Zach. Lark quickly shouted, "Duck!," grabbed a less powerful explosive arrow from her quiver and jumped, sending the arrow over Zach's head and straight into the machine's skull. The head gave a loud pop that sounded like a rifle going off and the machine fell with a thud. She grinned up at Zach as she walked up to him. He stood a good ten inches taller than her, but Lark was used to looking up at people and somehow feeling taller than them. "Let's see your sword do that." Lark gave him a crooked grin and then picked the arrows off the enemies closest to her, waiting for the next wave of guards and machines.

He looked back after he heard the explosive arrow detonate. "...must admit that that was pretty awesome."

She grinned up at Zach as she walked up to him. He stood a good ten inches taller than her, but Lark was used to looking up at people and somehow feeling taller than them. "Let's see your sword do that."

Zach watched the assassin who just 'one upped' him approach him with a grin that looked a bit too smug for Zach's taste. He'd have to change that. As she retrieved her arrows, Zach took a hand grenade off a nearby corpse. "It can." he simply said. He took a bootlace from a leg he had found laying far from its previous owner and tied the grenade to his sword.

As if on que, another wave of enemies came, led by a mech. Some others were behind, but Zach was focused on the foolish pointman. After pulling the pin on the grenade, he pulled his arm back and, with great force, he hurdled his blade towards the mech, impaling the center of it. A few seconds later, the detonation.

"That's one for me." he laughed while covering himself from the inevitable rain of bullets that approached. Zach was beginning to like his competition.

A trooper opened fire at point blank range only to have Braego's weapon cave in his skull. Braego turned just as the hulkish Brute arrived in a furious torrent of raw, unadulterated power. The beast waded through the swarm of HYDRA troopers crushing all those around him. When it spoke his voice had the rumbling weight of a mountain as he asked Freya if they needed any help. Half heatedly she told him to have at it. Braego would have preferred the creature stay on the air ship but since it was too late for that now. As long as the creature did not get in the way Braego would leave him be for now.

Jordan smashed wave after wave of soldiers. He then saw a mech and he smiled, he leaped towards it, landing on troopers crushing them. He ripped of one of the arms of the mech that had a huge knife the size of a giant sword on it. Jordan then threw the arm away and wielded the giant sword a normal size one handed sword to him. He chopped the mech in half and the went to town on the soldiers around him.

Lark laughed over along with Zach as the machine exploded in front of them. "Not too shabby," Lark said, giving a crooked grin and a mock curtsy. He was pretty good with that sword of his, but she was just as good with the bow and pistol at her thigh. Lark's grin was cut as the rain of bullets began again. Lark was about a second too late to duck away from the bullets as one caught her leg, cutting into her skin. She quickly rolled out of the way of the rest of the bullets and sat with her back to the wall.

Lark looked down at her leg with immense distaste, but held a hand against it with force. Being both a gymnast and the daughter of two assassins, Lark had an extremely high pain tolerance, but even she could help the smallest of winces at the gash in her leg. Lark quickly took inventory of her arrows, counting six regular arrows, three poisonous, an electrically charged arrow, one major explosive and one minor explosive, and the zip line arrow she had used earlier. She wasn't doing too bad, but her explosives were running out quickly and if she couldn't get the arrows sticking out of her enemies chests and heads, she would be out of arrows even more quickly.

Lark looked over at Zach for a moment and gave a combination of a grunt and a chuckle as she stood, taking her hand off her leg and making sure not to lean on it. "Though, I gotta say, it must be nice never havin' to worry 'bout runnin' outa ammunition." Lark chortled as he strung up her arrow with three regular arrows and shot them in succession, hitting each of the enemies square in the chest. She looked over at Zach once more. "That's three for me," Lark said with a quirked smile and then pointed down at her leg that was dripping slowly with blood. "Oh, and you owe me for that."

"That's three for me," Lark said with a quirked smile and then pointed down at her leg that was dripping slowly with blood. "Oh, and you owe me for that."

Something, he wasn't sure what though, snapped through Zach's head when he noticed she had been shot. Without acknowledging the Widow's comment, he ran straight towards the crowd, recalling his sword as he blocked bullets. The sword came back, taking a few soldiers with it, and he leaped a few feet into the air, coming down on top of a mech and impaling it straight through the brain.

He jumped off the mech and yet again recalled the blade, using the downed mech as cover for a second as he lined up a shot. He threw his shield, hitting a wall at an angle causing it to ricochet towards the back of the crowd. As it hurdeled towards the back of the herd, he chucked his sword towards the back as well, though in a straight beeline towards it.

It appeared as though his arc was just a bit off, as the shield was about to fall just short of a soldier's face, but then the sword came in. With the momentum of the sword hitting the shield as it flew just in front of the soldier, the shield smacked the man in the face, and broke his neck.

Promptly, it was recalled, but not before Zach took a couple of rounds to the chest, he then fell back.

With a mighty swing Braego sent a mech sailing through the air to crash into the side of the building leaving a hole large enough for the Asgardian to spot countless troopers rushing about the facility. The thing that struck him as odd was that they were not rushing toward him or fleeing but heading deeper into the complex. It only took a second or so for Braego to realize what this meant. He turned to look back at the battlefield. The soldiers and mechs they had been fighting had all but been eradicated by their combined effort. Even the savage Brute had proved useful. Now with little more than a handful of troopers left to deal with the time had come to join the others and assist them.

"Our allies battle on alone! Find them! Let nothing stop you!"

Braego roared from the sky to his sister and Brute. Without waiting for a response he shot straight towards the building, his hammer extended in front of him. The demi God and weapon were one as they bore right through stone, concrete and brick. Walls gave way before his might until he found his comrades. He erupted on the scene to see Patriot on his back and Skylark bleeding from her thigh. The advancing troopers hesitated at the sight of him. Braego's eyes burned with a fiery passion as he glared down at them.

"Let us see you do the same to the Son of Thor! HAVE AT THEE!!!!"

He roared as he hurled his hammer at the mass of HYDRA troopers. Bodies went flying in a chaotic and terrifying display of goddly fury.

Lark's head snapped around to Zach as he fell to the ground after a few rounds to the chest. Lark looked on in pure surprise at him and took a step forward. However, she jumped back as Braego came crashing through the wall. As the troopers were occupied with the large demi-god, Lark made her way over to Zach.

Lark knelt a bit painfully next to him. "Hey, Mr. USA, when I said you owe me, I meant like a cup of coffee. Not gettin' shot in the chest a couple of times," Lark said, giving a half-hearted smile. "Don't worry. My father taught me 'bout treatin' bullet wounds." Lark sighed heavily and quickly checked over each of the bullet wounds. None to the heart, obviously, and by the way they were each bleeding, none to any major arteries.

Lark slung her leather jacket off, leaving her in a black tank top, and pressed it down on the wound that she had figured was the worst. She placed his hand on the jacket and looked back up to Braego before looking back down at Zach. "Press," she said sternly before standing back up and shooting a few arrows into the enemies chests. She continued to do this, occasionally looking back down at Zach. But only occasionally. She didn't want to look like she cared or anything.

"Cheap piece of shit...." he mumbled before sitting up. The wounds hurt, but not enough to kill him and not enough to kick him out of the fight. Sure, he was downed, but his body took care of it. The bullets were slowed down (but not stopped) by his shitty Kevlar vest that he was wearing. Apparently, they gave him a weaker one meant for lower calibre weapons. This upset him and nearly cost him his life, had they been bigger rounds.

"I didn't know you cared so much..." he jested as he got up. "Though next time, I'm getting a vest that isn't designed for paintballs."

It felt like Thorson just hit him in the chest with his weapon. With a grunt, he took a stance and ignored the pain, recalling his weapons as well. Sheathing his sword, he took a protective stance with his shield and pulled out him M9. The god was dominating everything around him, and Zach didn't want to risk friendly fire, lest his chest be in more pain. A few shots were fired from his weapon, some hitting, some not. After a few minutes of the trio slaughtering anything in their path, the sounds of gunfire stopped. Nothing else remained.

He put his back against a nearby wall (that hadn't been destroyed) and slid down into a sit. "God damnit." he failed to realize the pun until after he spoke it. "Braego, I was supposed to steal your thunder, not the other way around..." he laughed before gripping his chest. "Oh well, I've got battle scars."

Braego landed and knelt beside Zach, giving the wounds on his chest a cursory glance.

"The maidens love scars from what I hear."

The Asgardian joked kindly before putting a hand on his shoulder in friendship before rising to look around.

"Where is Stark?"

He asked curious where the beautiful genius had wandered off to. For the briefest of moments Braego felt a pang of concern for the woman and began to wonder if he should go off in search of her.

#, as written by Kenzi
Valentina raced down the hall way, the building shaking around her as the battle moved closer to where she was. The whine of machinery, roar of gunfire, and screams filled the air but she ignored it all and focused on the task at hand: find the main computers and destroy everything. The screen infront of her eyes flashed with information, directing her towards the part of the building she needed to get into. She was fortunate not to come across anyone, as she was not the type to enjoy hurting or killing someone, and carried on in silence.

Eventually she rounded a corner and came to a large double thick metal door with an intricate entry system. Her face shield went down and the part of her suit that covered her hands recoiled so that she could deal with the entry system quickly. Using a jamming code she broke into the control system of the device and quickly deciphered the necessary code. Punching it in she stood back and watched with a pleased smirk as the door unbolted, swinging open and allowing her access into the vast space.

"Miss, it is prudent to inform you that the unstable materials in Wing C have been shifted from the battle, particularly from the force of Braego Thorson." EVE said, voice echoing in Val's ears as she flew across the room which had three story tall ceilings.

"What are the specs on air contamination and the radius it has effected." Valentina demanded, waiting for the results as she looked quickly around the room for the best computer to use. Many of the stations were set up with computers on different levels, some of them with massive holographic screens, but none of them were the brain computer... the one main computer that would connect her to everything.

"Air contamination is at 20% and rising by 2% per minute at a radius of 200 feet, circumference growing North by North East at 20 feet a minute." EVE replied.

Valentina swore loudly under her breath and hurried her search, knowing that the contaminated air would both easily ignite and seriously harm anyone who inhaled a strong mixture of it. Just as she was about to search another part of the plant her eyes found a small room in the top right hand corner, the same double thick metal that the first door had been. That would be the room.

She raised her hand, shining electromagnet power sphere on her palm faced towards the door, "No time to do this the quiet way." She muttered and released a strong blast of energy from the palm of her suit which blasted into the door and crushed it immediately in a loud bang. Within a second she had flown over, landed, and entered the large room. A massive holographic screen filled one wall, expensive computer chairs surrounding a desk full of papers that had been strewn all over as though the people who had been in the room had panicked and ran as fast as they could for safety. The room was empty.

Valentina dashed over to the screen and began the process of breaking into the heart of HYDRAs system. Her fingers raced expertly over the holographic screen, pulling up boxes and passwords, deciphering cryptic codes, and breaking down elaborate security systems in mere seconds. The young woman's mind raced, using every corner of her brain to pick apart the system.

ACCESS GRANTED

Flashed in a bright green in front of her, illuminating her pleased face, "Why thank you, HYDRA." She said with a laugh and pulled open all the files on the mainframe. Hundreds of folders appeared filled with videos, pictures, word documents, audio files, and more. There was too much for her to even glance through, not when she was on such a tight schedule, and so she swept her hand across the screen and gathered everything together in preparation to erase all of the hard drives but hesitated. What was HYDRA building anyway? SHIELD would never reveal it to them, that was certain, and they would never have time to search the entire plant... there was only one way that they would know.

Her suit shifted to fully cover her left hand again and from her left index finger popped out a USB connector which she promptly pushed into the side of the screen, downloading everything from the HYDRA database into her suit. The progress bar appeared on the screen, slowly filling up completely as she drained all of the information.

TRANSFER COMPLETE

Now flashed, the screen fully empty. That was it. Everything was gone. She stared at the screen for a moment, not sure what she was going to do with the information she would discover when going through the files later. Would she even tell the team she had it?

"Contamination has progressed to 32% at a radius of 320 feet and growing." EVE said, interrupting her train of thought and forcing her back into the present. She was only vaguely aware that the sound of gunfire and explosions had ceased, if only for a moment. That was either a good thing or a very bad thing and, in either case, she knew she needed to find the others.

Turning she dashed down the stairs, shield coming back up over her face and suit now covered her hands fully. She flew across the large room and landed in the doorway that lead back into the hall. "Locate the others." Valentina said, rounding the corner towards the front of the building in hopes that she would find them.

"The team is assembled together in building 12, Wing D." EVE replied.

She nodded and turned, dashing down a corridor when suddenly the screen infront of her eyes lit up red to her right, showing that there was someone in the next room. Valentina stopped and turned quickly, hearing the sound of garbled coughing as though someone was chocking on water. She leaned back and drove her foot strongly into the lock door, sending it flying across the room by the force of her suit.

She was not prepared for what she saw.

Ten people, eight men and two women, lay in lumps around the room. Blood pooled around their bodies, their white lab coats now crimson, and was sprayed against the wall behind them in a grotesque pattern that suggested it had been a quick massacre rather than a planned execution. They were all physicists, she knew at once, and felt her stomach turn painfully as her keen eyes recognized some of the ones who had not been shot in the head. Ryerson, Gailen, Romanovsky... All were physicists and though perhaps not the best in the world they were very good and, last she had known, had been conducting research throughout Europe. She had not heard anything that suggested they had been missing.

"V-Val..."

She turned quickly and looked down through her helmet to a man clutching her boot with bloodied hands, blood pouring from his mouth as he choked on his own life. Even near death the man was handsome with light hair and dark green eyes that looked knowingly up at her. Valentina collapsed to the ground beside him, removing her helmet at once to look down at the man she had known for years: Hayden Marshall, a physicist who specialized in reactor energy and a man who she had been close with since the age of thirteen. She thought he had been doing research in Germany with his uncle's facility... again, she had no idea he had been missing all this time.

"Hayden!" She exclaimed, carefully propping his head up so that he could take a choked breath. Quickly she tore open his shirt, hoping that it was something she could fix, but his chest was so torn apart by bullets that it was nearly impossible to even count how many had entered his body. He wasn't going to make it.

"T-they... have... m-m... more." Hayden managed, face sheet white and eyes dilated as he struggled to speak. His body was shutting down but he was fighting against it, wanting to make these last seconds count.

Valentina stared down at him, never having felt so helpless in her entire life. She always had the answer for everything, but there was no answer for this. Nothing that she could do to make it better, "Hayden, what's going on with HYDRA? What were they making you build?" She managed, voice sounding miles away in her ears. Her eyes stung with tears as she looked down at her dying friend, her normally cool and collected exterior shattering.

"M-more... T-they... have... m-more..." Hayden sputtered, reaching up his hand to Valentina's face. His bloodied palm fell flush against her porcelain skin, smearing crimson against her face, "m-more..." He said one last time before the light left his eyes and his hand slipped from her face, falling to his chest limb and lifeless.

"Hayden? Hayden!" Valentina shouted, silent tears streaming down her cheeks and causing streaks through the blood. Her suit, especially her chest and legs, were smeared in blood as well from cradling his body on the bloody floor. Hayden did not respond, staring lifelessly up at her.

"Miss, large numbers of enemies are approaching the team in building 12." EVE's voice rang out.

Valentina jumped at the sound, standing up and stumbling back away from Hayden and the bodies of the other physicists. "Right." She said softly, blue-green eyes scanning the room one last time in an effort to recognize as many people as possible in the hopes that she could figure out their connections later. Now, she had to go.

Valentina turned and took off out of the room with her face shield completely down, needing to feel the cool air on her face in order to snap out of the shock at what she had just seen. A minute later the brunette burst into the large hangar and spotted her team near the front. The two demi-gods looked fine, for the most part, but Lark was bleeding from the thigh and Zach looked to be shot in the chest. Valentina made her way over to them, looking at the team with urgency, "It's done. We need to leave. Now." She said, looking at them all with her blood stained suit and face.

"The maidens love scars from what I hear."

"That's what I've heard as well. With luck that's true, but if not, I'll remember the lesson learned here: Don't buy cheap Kevlar."

With a grunt, he pushed himself off the floor, using the wall to balance on. Looking at his own chest, which had blood covering its surface, he decided to take the top part of his suit off. With an effortless yank, it ripped and he discarded it. "Guess I'm Arnolding it now..." he said as he looked over to the god.

"Where is Stark?"

He surveyed the demigod's face, and for a second, he showed concern.

"You fell for her already? Damn, she's good."

At around that moment, Stark appeared bringing with her a rather worried tone, saying that they had to leave.

"Why for, might I ask? I was just about to have fun...."

Braego turned at the arrival of Iron Maiden. Her face shielding was down revealing her radiance marred by the crimson smear of blood. Her eyes still wet with fresh tears. It was an odd sight, almost tragic. Like finding a dying swan amid winters first snowfall. Valentina's suit was covered in blood yet something told the Asgardian this was not from battle. The pain in her eyes told him everything. He was about to speak when the ground began to rumble and pieces of the building began to crack and shear off. The group all had to struggle just to remain on their feet let alone run. They needed little prodding to flee regardless and made it outside just before it happened. That's when the ground erupted before them as the facility's already crumbling structure gave way to some sort of massive mechanical construct as it rose out of the building. The enormous war bot towered over the heroes as it stepped out to meet them. It's red eyes scanning each and every one of them. It made no sound but a guttural clicking and eerie whizzing noise. Braego's blood sparked to life as he knew this final fight would not be an easy one. He rolled his shoulders as he tightened his grip on his hammer and stared up at the massive machine, steeling himself for the fight to come.

"Oh." he said, dumbfounded by the mechanical beast that had appeared before them. He drew his sword and shield and took a defensive stance. No telling what this massive robot could or would do, so preparation might save him.

Without waiting for the others, Zach charged the metal foe. He jumped into the air in an attempt to stab at its chest, but was swatted out of the air as if he were a fly. This was not, however, before he could react by blocking with his shield. He was hurdled through the air and slammed into a wall, nearly going out the other side.

"I should probably think more about my approach next time..." he mumbled to himself as he got up.

Lark squinted her eyes at Zach as he stood. She most certainly did not care. Lark swung around to Stark's voice and silently wondered what was making the girl look so broken. "Hey, Starky, you alri-" Lark didn't have time to finish her sentence as a rumbling shook the ground and nearly knocked Lark off her feet. A large piece of the ceiling began to crack above Lark and she rolled away just in time for it to land where she had been standing.

Lark began to stand up slowly and saw that Zach had already flung himself at the giant machine that had risen from the ground. Lark shook her head as Zach was knocked against the wall. "Ya really gotta stop doin' that," Lark yelled sarcastically over to him. Lark looked over at Stark and then the rest of the team as the machine began to advance toward them. "Maybe we should take Stark's advice and get the hell outa here," Lark said as she strung her bow with the electric arrow and shot it at the head of the machine. The machine jolted and fell backwards, stopping for a moment, but the small electrical current only held the machine up for a moment before it was up and advancing toward them again. "Alright, looks like that worked," Lark muttered sarcastically under her breath
