Introduction

In 1994, three students ventured into the infamous Black Hill Woods in Burkittsville, Maryland with a camera to document everything they do and everywhere they go. They decided to find out if the rumors about the Blair Witch were true. After a week, they still hadn't returned from the woods. They were reported missing, but were never found. However, the video of what happened to them was found in the abandoned house deep in the woods. The footage of their findings were shown in theatres five years later, and ever since then, nobody has dared to go into those woods. Anyone who did, was also never found, and now, nobody goes in there. It's not even a fad anymore. It's pretty much forgotten about. Still though, the woods have been fenced in by the government, in fear of anymore disappearances.
It's now 2011, and a group of five students from the University of Maryland have decided to travel into the woods with a camera, just like the three students before them over fifteen years ago. They want to figure out what happened to these students and maybe actually make it in and out alive. They aren't afraid of what will happen and are ready for whatever comes at them. They will sneak in through a hole cut through the heavy fence and be the first to make it out of the woods alive. Hopefully...
The Story of the Blair Witch
In 1785, in Blair, Maryland, many children of the town accused a woman named Elly Kedward of witchcraft. She was later banished to the Blair Woods in the middle of winter. It was assumed that she died in the woods because of the conditions in the woods, however the next year a horrible thing happened. All of Miss Kedward's accusers mysteriously vanished along with a large amount of the town's children. The rest of the town quickly fled out of the town in fear of vanishing as well. They agreed to never speak of Elly Kedward again and the town was desolate for many years.
In the 1820's a man with the last name of Burkitt found the land of Blair and decided to make it a town again, now called Burkittsville. Four years after the founding of the town, a girl was wading in a stream nearby, only a foot deep. Allegedly, she was pulled down by a white hand, witnessed by many villagers and the body of her was never found. Afterwards, many stick figures appeared all over the stream floor and the water became oily and dark for several days.
In 1886, a girl was walking in the woods and disappeared for several days. She returned later alone and claimed that she met a woman who was floating in the woods. The woman took her to a house and put her in the basement and said she would return. When she never returned, the girl became scared and went back to the town. However, the girl's search party had disappeared. A second search party went in and found the first party stripped and tied to a rock in the woods, dead, organs strung out and symbols etched on their remaining skin.
Many accounts of deaths in the woods occured as well, until 1940, a hermit named Rustin Parr resided in the woods. He would lure kids into his shack in the woods and would kill them by twos in the basement. He would make one stand in the corner facing the wall while he killed one, and then he killed the second. The bodies were found buried outside the shack, mutilated similar to the search party fifty years ago. Rustin claimed that an old woman had told him to do these acts.
Present Day
We are playing the group of five film students that have ventured into the woods. We will be documenting everything. I don't care who has the camera. We could switch off but either way it doesn't really matter. We're going to start by heading out at night and sneak through the fence. Then from there we'll begin to travel through the woods and things will happen...I'll set them up usually, but if anyone has ideas, please say them in the OOC or over PM.

"Day one, 11:23 on October 19, 2011. Ok, so we are now on our way to the Black Hills," said Graham, putting the camera to his face so it shows him talking. "As you can see, it is night time, so we don't get caught as I saw a hole in the wrought iron fence surrounding these heavenly woods. You all don't get to see that part though, because...it's evidence if we get caught." He shut off the camera and set it down next to him in the back seat as he waited for them to arrive at the surrounding area of the woods.
Graham was so anxious to start this trip he was getting goosebumps. He had grown up hearing the stories of the Blair Witch, and had always dreamed of going into the woods himself just like Heather and her friends. He could see that they were close, and pulled out the special saw he had recently bought to cut the hole in the tall barbed wired fence. This would take a while since they had to shove all of their equipment through as well.
When they finally made it to the parking lot nearby, he jumped out of the car and ran to the back to open up the trunk. He yanked out the saw and darted down the hill to the fence where the creek was nearby. He began to saw as the rest of the group got some of the stuff out of the trunk. He had forgotten about that. Midway through, Graham decided to go back to the car and help get the things out of the trunk. "Who has the camera?" he asked, looking around to see who was filming first. They had agreed to film everything no matter what so that they got everything on tape.
Graham pretty much wanted to recreate the same thing that happened to Heather and the guys. It was a bit demented, but Graham was always into creepy stuff like that.

Andi sat in the front seat of the truck a little apprehensive to actually get out of the vehicle, silently cursing herself for agreeing to go on Grahams little expedition. She wasn't exactly sure she believed in the whole Blair Witch thing but nether the less something happened to those film makers seventeen years ago and being here sat at the entrance to the infamous Black Hill Woods in Burkittsville sent a small shiver down her spine.
Finally Andi stepped out of the car to help the others unload the car "So it it just me or does anyone else think this is a little crazy?" she asked looking out to woods before reaching for a camera bag, seeing Graham emerged from the woods she couldn't help but let out a little laugh "A little excited are we Graham?" she smirked.
A cold chill blew over them and jogging towards the front seat and grabbed her jacket pulling it over her bare arms, turning back to her friends she put a rucksack on her back and smiled "okay so what's first?" she asked, trying her best not to show her slight fear.

This whole thing was complete and utter bull shit in Cameron's opinion. Even though she was good friends with Graham and the others, she couldn't help but feel slightly annoyed that everyone so merrily put in to going out into the Black Hills. Not to mention Graham being so damn excited about finding out the truth about Heather and Micheal and everyone.
"A little crazy Andi? I would have used a more appropriate adjective like bat-shit crazy but I guess that works. " Cam would reply, already pulling a couple bags out from the car and sighing. She briefly caught Graham's eye before quickly turning away to slip her red back pack onto her slim and pale shoulders. She was wearing a white wife beater, black shorts and black hiking boots that reached more then an inch over her ankle. As she watched Andi slip on her jacket she momentarily froze, realizing the one thing she had forgotten at home.
"Ugh. Course I forgot a damn jacket. Wonderful." She couldn't help but curse her stupidity for a second before realizing it was very likely she had a long sleeved shirt or something in her backpack, though too lazy to check at the time. All her friends seemed pretty fine with the whole trip. She wasn't scared necessarily, more uneasy then anything.
She turned to glance back at Andi and then raised an eyebrow at Graham. " Good point, what is next?"

Roman's eyes looked around the way to Black Hills.
He felt uneasy, but excited at the same time. It was insane that they were doing this, but maybe they all were a bit insane.
Roman grabbed the camera and looked into it, pressing the button that turned it on.
"Hello there, my name is Roman Lee, it is 11:30 am, October 19 2011. We are still on our way to the Black Hills."
He paused for a moment. "I'll be the Supernatural consultant on this trip, cause I'm pretty much an expert on those things." He smiled and added, "Not to brag or anything."
"Well I guess I'll hand you off to someone else, cause I have nothing to say." He turned off he camera and said, "Who wants it!"

Graham pulled his camping back pack over his shoulders and grabbed a good hold of it and got balanced. It was fairly heavy since he was holding his clothes, food and the tent for him and Roman in there. He also had a few other things, but altogether it weighed about fifty pounds. He steadily moved back down the crunching leaves covered hill down to the fence to begin his work once again. He quickly sawed through the wrought iron fence until he had enough cut to open it up with the help of Roman. They pulled back a large space so they could shove their things through and then continue.
He pulled out a flashlight and shined it through the fence so everyone could see where they were going. He handed it to another person and pulled off his heavy bag. Graham then shoved it through, barely being able to make it fit. He then slid through and began to take the rest of the items and put them to the side. He looked up to the parking lot, his heart beating a bit faster, hoping nobody would catch them before they made their way into the woods. "Be quiet guys," he whispered to them. "We can't get caught before we even make it in."

Keni grummbled softly as she slid from the car, her boots crunching the fallen leaves softly. Taking a deep breath she looked up at the iron gate, the light breeze tussling her blonde hair.
"Here, Cam. I don't need it yet." She said, hearing Cameron as she grumbled. Smiling kindly, the blonde stripped from her hoodie, handing it to the other female. Under the black hoodie, she had been wearing a simple black tee-shirt bearing the famous Rocky Horror Lips. It was chilly sure, but Illinois had worse winters. Looking to Roman she giggled. "I do! I do!" She said, shifting her backpack to her left shoulder she reached for the camera, her eyes sparkling in the October sun.

Cam's expression immediately turned from irritation to one of complete and utter joy. " D'awww thanks Keni, bless your common sense in wearing a jacket out here. I think I've dyed my hair so much all of mine leaked out." Cam smirked and leaned forward to take the hoodie, quickly slipping it on and feeling the cold already leave her skinny arms.
"Be quiet guys, we can't get caught before we even make it in." Cam rolled her eyes and watched Graham attack the iron fence, the sound of the tool hitting and clawing away at the iron wasn't exactly a quiet noise either. " Of course. Because were being the loud ones..." Cam mumbled before moving past Graham and through the fence, squeezing herself and her backpack in. While she waited for the others, she couldn't help but admire the complete creepy vibes the forest gave out. A hooting owl somewhere inside, just letting out it's somewhat eerie call while the sound of the wind made a rather intense and dramatic noise as well.
But wasn't that how all forests were?
Cam rubbed her arms as a small gust of wind blew towards herself and her friends, sending a chill throughout her body and causing the hairs on the back of her neck to rise. "Jesus Christ I'm just purposely freaking myself out now.... can we GO ahead please? " Cam wasn't usually one to whine, but with the oncoming cold and the lack of food in her stomach, no way in hell was she planning on making this easy.
Besides, she doubted this Bell Bitch wanted a piece of her when she was hungry. She doubted anyone would..
