The sun that filter3eding in was a dead giveaway that he was going to be late, again. He hadn't been here more than a couple of months and already he had woken up late more times than he could count. Tossing his blanket aside he jumped out of bead and quickly began to get ready.
"Man, I can't believe it. I'm going to be late again." He groaned, running a brush through his long blue hair. Ever since he had arrived he had found it hard to get up on time. This was normally due to his late nights of practicing and studying. He wanted to do well and, in spite of his usually tardiness, he did.
Slipping a small stack of books and papers form his desk he swung open his door and darted down the hallways. At this rate I'll never be assigned a master. He thought in despair.
Zeki leaned back in his chair, looking up at his arts instructor with a smirk. He had enjoyed the chat he had shared with him earlier and was enjoying, even more, the frazzled results. Though he was actually keeping his cool rather well. Zeki let out a sigh before pushing his glasses up on his nose with middle finger, the sure sign he was about to speak. But the door burst open at that moment and he was cut off.

His sudden jerking action threw him off balance and he overshot the next step. A look of surprise flashed on his face before he tumbled the remaining three steps to the floor, a rain of books and papers following.
But something, or someone, had broken his fall. "Sorry." He said as he scrambled to remove himself.
It was a girl, Sayke was no good at talking with girls. His tongue felt like lead and his mind went blank. Finally he managed a few words, by sheer habit. "Y-yes ma-m" The reply answering both her questions. He was finding it hard to concentrate on basic functions, like standing, and he remained on the floor head lowered, afraid to look at her, his whole face now red with a combination of blushing and embarrassment.
With her help he pulled himself up to his 'left feet' as she had called them. He liked this girl, she was kind and cute, she reminded him much of the girl he missed so much. "Mieko." He said softly, the name was pretty too.
After he swallowed again he finally looked at her face. His face was beet red but he managed to stumble out his own name. "Say..ke."
Sayke gave a small nod in response to her question. He felt a few bruises but it wasn't anything he couldn't handle. Sayke watched as she bent down to pick up a pencil and pen that he had missed in his frantic scramble to gather his belongings. He glanced at them as she placed them in his hand before returning his gentle, but embarrassed, eyes to her.
Swallowing a lump in his throat Sayke replied brokenly. "A-art." After the single word it was like his voice had cut off the remaining part.
A split second before she ran into another student, Sayke had seen them, but couldn't find his voice. He gave her grin, almost a laugh at her comment. Her good humor making him a bit more comfortable.
He found his voice as she said goodbye. "Later Mieko." He said without a single break, giving a small wave with the hand that held the pen and pencil. Then he just stood there at the foot of the stairs, still blushing.

Hesitantly, she took out a small note pad and a black ink pen, and began to draw the outline of a flower while waiting for class to start. Aaliya hates being the new kid in school. Kindergarden, she went 2 weeks without a friend, elemently school it took 3 days, middle school she had to move to a different town so she had to start over again. In high school, she transfered to a more civilized school due to her mother's wishes and it took countless amounts of attempts to make friends. And now she's here; not even trying.

Turning his green eyes to the teacher he apologized. "I'm sorry teacher." To his surprise the teacher actually seemed relived that he had burst in at that moment, cutting off Zeki before he could speak.
Sayke lowered his head and slipped into the nearest empty seat as the teacher went back to explaining what they would be drawing today.
The teacher glanced at him as he made his way to the door but said nothing. She already knew that if she did Zeki would made a big scene, so to speak, in front of the whole class. Instead she went back to explaining as Zeki walked out.

Trust no one. Those words were the first words she said this morning while waking up from a nightmare; the 5th one this week. Aaliya didn't want to take her chances, so she sat, with a frown in her corner.
Sayke didn't look up from his paper, shifting his doodle to the bottom of the pile he tapped the eraser on the empty sheet, trying to decide what to draw. After a few minutes a light seemed to flip on in his mind and he began the outlining of his idea.
Time seemed to rush by and as the bell chimed out, he looked up. Class was already over. Glancing back down at his un-finished work he closed his notebook. He would turn it in when he was finished. Standing, like many of the other students, he gathered his things together and headed for the door.
People started walking away with a quicker pace, as if something nearby had made them want to clear the area. A slightly quizzical look crossed his face then he heard a voice practically next to him. He turned his head to see a well built, kind of imposing, male beside him. He blinked his green eyes, surprised that he hadn't noticed him before now. Though it wasn't really a big surprise, as he was so wrapped up in avoiding the eyes of girls. It took him a moment to respond. "Good morning, sir." He said softly with a curt nod of his head, coming to a stop in the middle of the hall. His hesitation and formal words could easily be taken as nervousness, but his level tone and carefree smile would likely erase most doubt.

It didn't take him long to reach the classroom. Pushing his glasses back into place he opened the door and stepped inside, letting the door close behind him. Nodding at the teacher he turned to face the basically empty classroom. He noticed two Masters sitting in the back of the class room. He gave the pair a sideways glance before taking a seat near the middle of the room. Flipping out his textbook he cracked it open to a page marked with a strip of folded paper. Sliding the paper from the pages he set it on the desk and returned his attention to the book. He then began reading, as though it was a chosen novel rather than a math textbook. He had read this book a few times already and could easily do all the problems between it's covers, he continued to scan it, hoping to glean something new.

Suddenly he changed his grip on the pencil and in a short, quick flick of his wrist he released the pencil. It flew a straight path, eraser first, towards Cliff's head.
