Deep in Rengath Forest there is a secret school of magic, called Magina. Only those that are selected can get in.
The small school is designed to train powerful warriors, both magical and physical, for the battle against the group of New Dawn. All students at Magnia take the Sun Defenders oath as a way to protect both the school and those attending.

Sun Defenders Oath

I do solemnly swear
That I will fight against the New Dawn's influence, Preserve the Sun Defenders, and defend the people. I will use my wisdom and power for the good of all and will always help a fellow in need.

Magnia seeks out those who show skill, determination, intellect, and display loyal traits. Those chosen to attend Magina will receive a special letter that only they can decipher. Following the directions they are lead to a spot where someone will be waiting to guide them to the school.

Sayke woke to the sun shining on his face. Bolting upright in bed a million thoughts rushed to his mind. Jerking his head towards the window, where the sun crept in through a small crack. He shook his head violently. What was he thinking, he had to get moving not stare at the window.
The sun that filter3eding in was a dead giveaway that he was going to be late, again. He hadn't been here more than a couple of months and already he had woken up late more times than he could count. Tossing his blanket aside he jumped out of bead and quickly began to get ready.
"Man, I can't believe it. I'm going to be late again." He groaned, running a brush through his long blue hair. Ever since he had arrived he had found it hard to get up on time. This was normally due to his late nights of practicing and studying. He wanted to do well and, in spite of his usually tardiness, he did.
Slipping a small stack of books and papers form his desk he swung open his door and darted down the hallways. At this rate I'll never be assigned a master. He thought in despair.

Zeki had woken at the crack of dawn, as usual, to get in his morning jog before classes started. He always enjoyed the early morning air and the refreshing feel of a good workout. This morning was like most the others Zeki had experience since his arrival her at Magnia. Having been here a little over a year now he had gotten into the routine. In fact he was a well known by most student's and teachers. Most of whom avoided striking up any kind of conversation with him for several reasons. Infamous for being a lie detector he is also bold and elaborate in speech. He can talk circles around the best of them and always end up on top.
Zeki leaned back in his chair, looking up at his arts instructor with a smirk. He had enjoyed the chat he had shared with him earlier and was enjoying, even more, the frazzled results. Though he was actually keeping his cool rather well. Zeki let out a sigh before pushing his glasses up on his nose with middle finger, the sure sign he was about to speak. But the door burst open at that moment and he was cut off.

She brushed her red locks out of her eyes, not wanting to get up from the bed. She knew she had to. She growled as she rolled over, falling onto the floor. She rose to her feet, and quickly got dressed, grabbing her things from her desk and before she walked out, looking in the mirror. She missed home. She missed her mother; but she knew everything she was doing was for a divine purpose. She forced a smile, walking out her room and down the hallways. She didn't know anyone here due to the fact she just really didn't talk much. She preferred staying quiet and keeping to herself. Her eyes moved from person to person, as she swiftly glided through the hall, clenching tightly to her things.

Sayke rushed faster than he knew was proper, but somethign inside him told him to hurry. He wasn't sure which side he should choose; slow down and be later, but be proper or speed up and be less late than he was already. Though he was late already part of him pushed to fight the manners that had been pushed onto him as a child. They followed him here and he couldn't shake them. The only time he ever seemed to forget manners and make a fool of himself was when he was around... He violently shook his head to stop himself from even thinking about her.
His sudden jerking action threw him off balance and he overshot the next step. A look of surprise flashed on his face before he tumbled the remaining three steps to the floor, a rain of books and papers following.
But something, or someone, had broken his fall. "Sorry." He said as he scrambled to remove himself.

Sayke rolled back onto his knees and began to pick up his papers, trying to hide his embarrassment for falling. As the person started to help pick up his scattered things he continued to apologize. After gathering up his stuff he sat back on his legs to look, for the first time, at the person before him. His blush deepened and the sorries stopped he was all but gawking at her. Quickly he lowered him head and blindly took the extended papers.
It was a girl, Sayke was no good at talking with girls. His tongue felt like lead and his mind went blank. Finally he managed a few words, by sheer habit. "Y-yes ma-m" The reply answering both her questions. He was finding it hard to concentrate on basic functions, like standing, and he remained on the floor head lowered, afraid to look at her, his whole face now red with a combination of blushing and embarrassment.

He blushed deeper, if that was even possible, at her giggling. His face was bright red and he still wouldn't look up at her. He swallowed and reached the hand, that wasn't clutching his books desperately, out towards hers. In spite of his total embarrassment he couldn't ignore her or leave her hanging.
With her help he pulled himself up to his 'left feet' as she had called them. He liked this girl, she was kind and cute, she reminded him much of the girl he missed so much. "Mieko." He said softly, the name was pretty too.
After he swallowed again he finally looked at her face. His face was beet red but he managed to stumble out his own name. "Say..ke."

Sayke gave a shy, weak smile at her joke but couldn't possibly turn any redder. He wasn't any good with this, especially the first encounters. Something Sayke could never figure out why he could be bold around other guys, but when it came to girls he went numb.
Sayke gave a small nod in response to her question. He felt a few bruises but it wasn't anything he couldn't handle. Sayke watched as she bent down to pick up a pencil and pen that he had missed in his frantic scramble to gather his belongings. He glanced at them as she placed them in his hand before returning his gentle, but embarrassed, eyes to her.
Swallowing a lump in his throat Sayke replied brokenly. "A-art." After the single word it was like his voice had cut off the remaining part.

Sayke wasn't sure if he was relieved or disappointed that he wouldn't be going to the same class right now. He smiled though, a gentle smile as she placed a had in her pocket and took a step back. His blush starting to ebb slightly, looking forward to meeting again.
A split second before she ran into another student, Sayke had seen them, but couldn't find his voice. He gave her grin, almost a laugh at her comment. Her good humor making him a bit more comfortable.
He found his voice as she said goodbye. "Later Mieko." He said without a single break, giving a small wave with the hand that held the pen and pencil. Then he just stood there at the foot of the stairs, still blushing.

Aaliya walked into her first class in Magnia; art. She was happy this was her first class, mostly because she loves mostly all kinds of art. She walked in nervously, and tossed her long brown hair behind her shoulder. Aaliya looked around the classroom, and found a seat with no one around it near the back corner of the room. She sat there, basicly because she was too shy to try to make new friends.

Hesitantly, she took out a small note pad and a black ink pen, and began to draw the outline of a flower while waiting for class to start. Aaliya hates being the new kid in school. Kindergarden, she went 2 weeks without a friend, elemently school it took 3 days, middle school she had to move to a different town so she had to start over again. In high school, she transfered to a more civilized school due to her mother's wishes and it took countless amounts of attempts to make friends. And now she's here; not even trying.

Seth was sleeping in class. Or rather, in the classroom as class itself had yet to begin. He went to bed early each night but could never get enough sleep. He had nightmares that kept him up. On top of that he was definitely not a morning person. So he slept before each class started, something the instructors had become used to. His first class of the day was literature, and also the class he made up most of his sleep in. He just couldn't focus on the subject, not for lack of trying. He awoke when someone began gently shaking him. It was the teacher. Seth nodded in greeting and sat up straight so he would have difficulty falling back asleep. He looked around at the nearly full classroom, surveying the other students casually. Most avoided his gaze. He had yet to beat anyone up, rob anyone, insult anyone, taunt anyone, or be even slightly aggressive towards absolutely anyone and yet they all looked at his well muscled body and messy hair and labeled him as some kind of thug. It wasn't his fault. He hadn't worked for those muscles, they'd just come when he'd started practicing with his powers. It was weird and inconvenient.

Sayke stood there dumbly in the hall for nearly a minute before he recalled what he was supposed to be doing. With a start, the remaining blush on his face vanished and he took of frantically down the hall. "I'm so going to get in trouble." He muttered as he skidded around the corner. He flung open the door, with more force than he had intended, and stepped into the art room. Every eye seemed to turn to him and his face flushed in embarrassment.
Turning his green eyes to the teacher he apologized. "I'm sorry teacher." To his surprise the teacher actually seemed relived that he had burst in at that moment, cutting off Zeki before he could speak.
Sayke lowered his head and slipped into the nearest empty seat as the teacher went back to explaining what they would be drawing today.

Zeiki rolled his eyes at Sayke, but didn't return to the comment he was about to make before he was interrupted. Though the class hadn't been in session for more than thirty minutes, Zeki rose to his feet and gathered his papers. Art class was one of his least favorite. He was fairly talented when it came to drawing but Zeki didn't like to be told how or what to draw. He drew when, how, where, and what he wanted.
The teacher glanced at him as he made his way to the door but said nothing. She already knew that if she did Zeki would made a big scene, so to speak, in front of the whole class. Instead she went back to explaining as Zeki walked out.

She looked at the boy who had just came into the room. She whispered tp herself "How rather imbarrising..." and began to scan the room. There were many differen't looking people, and they all looked pretty nice, but Aaliya didn't know for sure.

Trust no one. Those words were the first words she said this morning while waking up from a nightmare; the 5th one this week. Aaliya didn't want to take her chances, so she sat, with a frown in her corner.

Sayke doodled on the edge of his paper while the teacher listed her expectations of the assignment on the board. They were to draw an animal in an action pose. Running, swimming, lunging, ect. She wanted the students to try their best for realism and explained a few points before turning them loose to work on the assignment. Then she sat at her desk and began to work with the papers.
Sayke didn't look up from his paper, shifting his doodle to the bottom of the pile he tapped the eraser on the empty sheet, trying to decide what to draw. After a few minutes a light seemed to flip on in his mind and he began the outlining of his idea.

Sayke worked on his sketch, trying to apply the teacher's tips as he went. He wasn't much of an artist, but he had enough determination to keep at it.
Time seemed to rush by and as the bell chimed out, he looked up. Class was already over. Glancing back down at his un-finished work he closed his notebook. He would turn it in when he was finished. Standing, like many of the other students, he gathered his things together and headed for the door.

Zeki had found a perch on the window ledge of one of the many large windows that gave a good view of the meadow. Leaning against the windowsill with his legs pulled up on the ledge, he pulled out his sketch book and began to draw the scene he was now seeing on the other side of the glass. He was putting the final touches on his work when the bell range and students began pouring into the halls. Ignoring the sound that came, focusing on completing the led replica of the meadow view.

Sayke stepped into the busy hallway, moving with the flow. He tried not to look at a few of the girls whose gaze lingered on him for long moments, something he would never get used to.
People started walking away with a quicker pace, as if something nearby had made them want to clear the area. A slightly quizzical look crossed his face then he heard a voice practically next to him. He turned his head to see a well built, kind of imposing, male beside him. He blinked his green eyes, surprised that he hadn't noticed him before now. Though it wasn't really a big surprise, as he was so wrapped up in avoiding the eyes of girls. It took him a moment to respond. "Good morning, sir." He said softly with a curt nod of his head, coming to a stop in the middle of the hall. His hesitation and formal words could easily be taken as nervousness, but his level tone and carefree smile would likely erase most doubt.

Arethra tapped the note she had just received in frustration. She had been given instruction to find a new student to teach, she had not had enough time to assess all the students and the rush annoyed her. She had three names in mind, Sayke Trillin, Zeki Sanson and Aaliya Persei. Each had different qualities that intrigued her but she was unsure of their full ability. Walking out into the hall which was teeming with students. Walking into a classroom a few halls away she went to the teacher and bowed her head to them, "I need to watch some of your students," she said and her fellow instructor nodded their ascent. Arethra made her way to the back of the room and sat herself down. Opening a new page in her notebook she wrote down the three students names and characteristics she was looking for. She only hoped that at least one of them delivered.

Cliff sighs, he had just been assigned to train some kids again, the leaders certainly didn’t give him as much freedom as they used to. He walks down the halls of the school it seemed to be between classes because kids were crowding the hallways. He spies Arethra in one of the classrooms, she knew what she was doing, and he could take any of the students that didn’t meet her standards. He slides into that class and sits in the back next to her. “Hey there, so you need new students too?” Cliff smiles greeting Arethra.

Cliff leans back in his chair, his hands behind his head, "I'll take any students, as long as they can put up a fight." he smirks. He would see what students came in and decide from there, no need to hand select students. Arethra was older and more magically experienced than he was so she deserved first pick anyways. "So who are your three options?" he questioned guessing they were all probably genius magic users. He'd never really talked to Arethra before but he knew she was too smart to teach average students.

Zeki appraised his image one last time before finally flipping the sketchbook and swinging his legs off the window ledge. The crowd in the hall was thinning now but Zeki could care less, though he used this to accurately gauge ho long he had before the late bell would ring. Slipping from the windowsill he strolled leisurely through the halls. Math was his next class. It was his favorite, not including the practical training classes.
It didn't take him long to reach the classroom. Pushing his glasses back into place he opened the door and stepped inside, letting the door close behind him. Nodding at the teacher he turned to face the basically empty classroom. He noticed two Masters sitting in the back of the class room. He gave the pair a sideways glance before taking a seat near the middle of the room. Flipping out his textbook he cracked it open to a page marked with a strip of folded paper. Sliding the paper from the pages he set it on the desk and returned his attention to the book. He then began reading, as though it was a chosen novel rather than a math textbook. He had read this book a few times already and could easily do all the problems between it's covers, he continued to scan it, hoping to glean something new.

Pushing his glasses up his nose with his middle finger, Zeki's pale eyes slid over to glance at Cliff. He didn't like being called a bookworm. Especially since he really didn't read anything outside of classes. But more just for something interesting to do than getting back at the purple haired Master he picked up on of the pencils from his desk. Laying the book flat on the top he looked over the pages, acting as though he was about to mark something.
Suddenly he changed his grip on the pencil and in a short, quick flick of his wrist he released the pencil. It flew a straight path, eraser first, towards Cliff's head.

Zeki only smirked as the pencil soared back past him at into a board on the wall, making the teacher jump. He had expected as much from a master. Though unlike most student's Zeki didn't have any restraints when it came to doing what he felt like doing and saying what he wanted. Without looking back at the pair of masters he picked up his book again. Class would start in a minute and there still wasn't many students present.

Seth gave a wide smile upon hearing that he'd be sharing a class with Sayke. He hurried on with his new friend. As they entered the class, bell ringing, Seth looked around. There were almost no other students. There was a tall boy with white hair and glasses reading a textbook and a few other students who avoided his gaze. He saw the two others at the back. He wasn't sure what their rank was, he hadn't been able to memorize the ranking system. He could tell a bit about their titles but he'd slept through a lot of the reception ceremony. They were clearly above trainees, probably above students as well. Maybe teachers. Both seemed young for masters but he left it as an outside possibility. Their presence was odd. Seth took a seat next to Sayke in the second row. He began to focus on the lesson but he continued to watch the strangers, glancing out of the corner of his eye occasionally. He wasn't watching them very well because he kept forgetting to check on them, but there was effort.
