Mrs. Hanna Black's Story

just as the noon bell rang mrs. black was standing in the lobby her student so to arrive to the school for there fist day back after her short trip to the prison in the local area she was forgiven but now mrs. black has a quest given to her by god him self to find all of her student love in a hard world. "who will walk thought that door first"
As it turns out, the first to walk through the oak doors was Jackson Lionhart, seemingly back from the dead. At the end of last year, he had dropped off the face of the Earth, not wanting to be questioned about what had happened about his time at the old academy. He was just glad that slavery was abolished, which was the only reason he was coming back to this school. Well, his father still had his hopes about them running a secret slavery institution, but Jackson was reassured at the doors that this was not that sort of academy anymore.
Like last time, he entered the room with only his duffel over his shoulder. This time though, there was no trail of other bags, no fancy suitcases filled with expensive things. This time, it was just him and the black bag, filled with comfortable clothes that he would be, well, comfortable in. Giving a slight nod in the direction of Mrs. Black, a know-it-all-teacher that was here last year, he took his spot in the room. It surprised him a little, to see her back, but he would not say anything about it. No need to get on the teachers bad side.
Annie entered the room somewhere in the middle, hovering here and there and never really finding one place to stand. It wasn't just because she was nervous, but because she was scared. The room was filled with supernaturals, she could feel it. This was one of those things that she could feel, that supers could feel, but humans couldn't. It was the only reason she qualified for the school, she thinks, because she was recognize the supernatural like normal humans could not. Still, her heart still followed a human beat, and she still acted in the same way normal humans did. Finally she found a spot and settled herself, fingering the straps of the bag over her shoulders and tapping the toe of her shoe.
"hey Jackson um last we left off i said some things and i don't want to um leave these untouched this year" alice reaches up an scratches her ear " i like you your the fist vampire not to try to outcast me and i just wanted to say thanks for evey thing you did for me and i hope we can be friends. alice turn and started for mrs. black
Jackson quirked an eyebrow, watching Alice as she spoke her thanks. It made him feel weird, to be thanked for being kind, something he almost always was. Either way, he kept a smile on his face, nodding slightly. She went to walk away and he stepped forward, gently touching her arm. "Definitely friends." He confirmed, winking. "And you're welcome. You'll tell me if anyone tries anything mean this year, right?"
Mrs. black looked at alice "good morning sweet heart how are you feeling to day" mrs. black spoke in a kind caring tone "i'm i to presume that you and Jackson to gather means you are to gather"
Lilly looked at Daniel. ''I'm fine,'' she said softly. She listened to Alice and then heard Mrs. Black. She froze. She wanted to go with Jackson because she didn't had the chance to. She turned and called before she could think. ''No!'' She stepped towards them, reacting instinctively without thinking. Then she stopped. ''Wait, never mind...'' She looked down, feeling ashamed.
Daniel step by lilly and gently grip her shoulders "relax lilly the school has changed" he siad trying to get her to relax and feel safe
Alice turned "Lilly are you ok" Alice walked to her seeing denial's hand on Lilly to alice it looked bad, alice grinned widely showing her teeth much like a dog ready to strike. "back off Daniel" alice had gained a large aggressive form from her time with mère noire or mother black.
Daniel watch alice "calm down i only try to calm her down and she is my friend" he said with a slight snarl
mrs. black put her face in side of her palm then started to shake it back and forth " ever on stop this is how this is going to work i have given you time to talk among your self. two at a time you will come up to me and give me your name and rank .... wait hold on wrong speech" mrs. black smiled and started again "you the students will come to me two at a time and tell me your age name and the parson you pick to be your partner then i will go thought the step of matching you with the parson that i find right then i will leave the choice up to you" mrs. black stopped and sat in the chair behind her "you may begin"
Nor Jackson or Annie made any move towards the front of the room. Annie did make herself known though, all four feet and nine inches of her, when she tripped over a chair leg in the back of the room and ended up sprawled across the floor in front of her. It wasn't particularly painful, and she wasn't hurt, but definitely embarrassed. Blushing bright, he pushed herself up and ran her hands over her jeans, making sure they hadn't gotten anything on them from the floor. Jackson seemed to have been debating going over and asking if she was alright, but the girl seemed to want little attention, and he had his own things to worry about. So as he watched the girl resign herself to a corner and try to become invisible again, he turned back to face the two girls.
Still, he made no move towards either, nor towards Mrs. Black. Sure, he cared about Lilly, really liked her actually. And Alice was really very nice, and he felt bad for her. But were either of them actually any more than just good friends? He couldn't figure it out, more likely than not because he had never found himself attracted to anyone before and wouldn't know what it felt like. The only guy he'd liked was when he was maybe ten or eleven, so that was silly to even consider being enough to base his feelings on. "I..'m sorry guys. I just don't know..." Someone else needed to go first.
Alice moved for her mother and stood beside her and looked out at the crowd she saw only one she liked but he showed no interest in her Alice know that this would look funny her standing next to the women who had beat her on her first day last year " mom you think this going to work"
mrs. black looked at her adopted child "no sweet heart in a few min im going to just start calling name at random and see how well they mix" she thought it over and came to the thought that if she put former masters with there former slaves that it would not work out to well she also know that alice like Jackson very much although that boy had options.

"ok kid here we go no one had a mach in mind so im going thought my list" she put a blank piece of paper out for her back pocket " here are you pairs Daniel and Amaterasu then Annie lefay and Jack greyson Jackson lionhart and lacy hawkes then Lilly rose and Alice miller these are pairs for now they will be changed as i watch you grow.
"Im really not late, huh, weird. thought i was for sure when my motorcycle wouldn't start..." He said, more to himself than to Annie. Jack then thought over who he wanted to live with, drawing up a blank. He didnt know any of them too well. "Nervous huh? Dont tell anyone but...I am too." He said, whispering the last part. His teacher Mrs. Black started talking and his focus snapped back to the front of the room. "Oh, looks like we don't have to choose after all. I hope we can get along, Annie." Jack said with a smile.
Annie actually perked up a bit at the mention of a motorcycle. "Would you show me it sometime?" She asked, then blushed a little. "The motorcycle, I mean. I've never ridden one, but I used to love riding dirtbikes..." It made her feel a little better when he confessed that he was nervous too, and Jack got another smile from her, if he even noticed. Though she focused his attention back to Mrs. Black when she started talking, growing nervous once again when she announced that she would be paired with Jack. It couldn't be too bad, right? They could just be friends for now, Jack seemed like a nice guy. "I bet we will. Do you want to, I don't know, go find out where our room is?"
Jackson was surprised when he wasn't paired up with either Lilly or Alice, he had expected to get at least one of them, if not both if Mrs. Black decided to throw a surprise at them. It wouldn't really surprise him though, there were only three boys in the room, it would make sense for her to pair a few girls up to a guy. This Lacy though, he didn't even know who the girl was. Somewhat nervous, he took a look around, hoping to find out who she was.
Alice ran out of the room trying to ran out of the class room where she was she was sad how could her mother put her with some that she had never really talk to before, and now she was being charged with getting another Lilly ready for the new world and the way it works Alice gave it thought maybe mom was right i can be the best role model for Lilly the first thing i'm going to have to do is get her eating right she to skinny Alice rounded the corner moved to room 12-9 it was the last room and the largest she had lived there all summer long. it was all of her thing in the rooms she would be damned if she would lose her room. it did not look like any one had just randomly walked in Alice drop her bag in the living area why did mom make her pack maybe it would make her look more like the others what ever Alice went in to the kitchen and put a large pot on the stove then she went to the ice box and got out the beans she had socked in water they were perfect for chili Alice pored them in then added tomatoes and then started browning ground beef the hole room smelled like food there was a nuff for Jackson and his match and may be Daniel and his girl and mom only because she could not cook, she left it on low and begin waiting on Lilly to show up.
"i made lots there really is a nuff there for ten but i love chili so it works out help your self to any thing in the ice box i for us ok alice turned to Daniel well what do you want from me Dan" Alice was being sarcastic " i understand go ahead and get some food Dan" alice walked to the living room and opened her phone pressing in the keys the screen said mere noire alice pressed the call key and moved the phone to her ear.
" hello sweetly what up" Mrs. black spoke in to the mic
" Lilly and i were wondering if you would like to come over for some chili tonight" alice held her breath sense she let lose the inner-wolf her berthing had gotten heavy
"when would you like me alice" Mrs. black stopped

Daniel nodded and took some chili and sit down and started eating "mmm this taste even better than it smells"
alice after talking to her mother walks out the door and starts looking for Jackson and his match. alice was still rather pissed that she did not get Jackson her self. but is what it is alice simple went door to door looking for Jackson.
mrs. black jumped out of her chair and sprinted for alice's room mrs. black could not cook to save her life that why being invited to dinner meant no more burned chicken for a few days mrs. black did not even knock she just ran in and grabbed a large soup dish full of the hot steaming chili.
