Telepathy, a gift and a curse in itself. One may shield their own mind and gently touch others to speak or influence them but at a great cost to a human body. The human mind becomes strained and the body tired these things coupled with the dark tendrils of thoughts from others may drive one mad enough to turn on their dearest loved ones.

Personality
Kouichi is not a quite person though he may seem it at first, he’s quick to pass judgment on people’s personalities though he does not shun them once he has. He tries to be a pacifist and can be in physical situations but he is quick to anger and retort verbally, never letting an argument go when he can help it. The only person Kouichi seems to be all forgiving for and unwilling to engage in verbal argument with is Elliot, preferring to compromise with the taller man or just let him have his way though he does scold him for fighting with others.

Description
Kouichi stands a simple 5’ 9’’ with a slim frame and non-threatening aura. Short brown hair hangs messily around his ears and dark brown eyes, clashing with the well fitted clothing he always seems to be wearing. Preferring darker or earthy tones he often wears a dark green casual styled tee-shirt and dark blue jeans torn at the bottom cuff. Almost completely faded scars mar his back, left side, and left leg though he doesn’t show them. Lacking any body modification save for a single stud in his left earlobe Kouichi comes off as normal and non-obtrusive unless he is walking beside his close friend Elliot in which moments he tends have a shifty air about him.

Likes
Kouichi is fond of plenty of things but has a particular love for books of all sort, logic puzzles, and listening to classical piano(mostly played by Elliot).

Dislikes
Kouichi dislikes cold or wet weather, ignorant people that refuse to learn, mirrors, and physical violence.

Strengths
Kouichi is strong in the sense that he is quick on his feet both in the metaphorical mental sense and the physical sense. Despite lacking in the physical strength department Kouichi is agile enough to dodge a few hits and throw one back in return. His real strength though lies in quick wit and tanks to his power the uncanny ability to persuade people to listen to him.

Weaknesses
Kouichi is prone to bad migraines that leave him stranded in a dark room for hours at a time. All his cool thinking and rational thought tend to fly out the window when Elliot becomes involved in a problem leading him to make rash choices that often end with him getting hurt.

Stone
The tarnished Alexandrite is framed in a black glass ring that bares the names of his parents and brother, rather than wear the well fitted ring though he keeps it chained around his neck.

History
Kouichi lost his father at the young age of five to the Russian court system when the man was accused of murder and wrongly found guilty, he died in prison before he could be proven innocent. At age seven he lost his elder brother and mother to a terrorist train bombing on their way home from Moscow, only surviving himself because he’d hidden from his brother in the baggage car which was the furthest from the bomb. Having been handed over to his uncle Jezebel after his mother’s death he was brought to America for a fresh start and from then on had a happy childhood.

Spending most of his breaks from college working at the free clinics his uncle had opened Kouichi happened upon a man trying to commit suicide one night and managed to get him to the hospital in time to save his life. The man was Elliot Lee and though he was advised against it Kouichi quickly befriend the man and helped him move on from the dark place in his life. Somehow always finding himself at Elliot’s side when the man did something out of anger or bad reflex Kouichi found his adopted pacifistic ways challenged though never directly by his friend and never enough that he would abandon Elliot.

Kouichi is allergic to tomatoes but often eats them anyway because they are his favorite food, he also knows how to do basic hand stitching thanks to his doctor uncle’s insane tendencies.
