Devan realized he also had a question. "And how DID you find us?" Devan interrogated the Birthstone of Aquamarine. It's possible that the rich woman had... eyes and ears all over the place, but Devan just wanted to know. He was curious as well. As he waited for a reply, he was shoved with the man who declared himself as "Charlie." "Watch where you're going, baka!" Devan yelled at the man as he looked around the interior of the house. "You aren't the Sun King!"
The clap of footsteps on hardwood floor caught his attention, and Charlie turned his head to rudely tell whoever came in off cause this one was his. If he could make a little flag he would then he would stab it into the bed and claim this land in the name of him, but just the look of her stopped him. It was not her clothing, or her appearance, but just the way she was eyeing him. It was a little.. disturbing. He found his tongue stuck as he watched her walk around his room and then toss her luggage onto his bed. His ears perked at what she said, her bed? That one thing managed to dislodge his tongue.
Charlie was about to tell her that she was welcome to sleep with him, but it was his damn room when she continued.. how he hated being caught flatfooted. Miserable.. well, maybe... He wasn't sure when the last time he was 'happy' was, but... well, at least she had good eyes. But saying he was handsome was more just fact then a compliment... an idea as to how he got this way? What game was she playing? Whatever it was, he wanted to turn the damn console off.
Charlie clenched his teeth in annoyance as she fell on his bed. Seethra, well one down... a lot more names to go. He had a feeling he would remember that one. Reputation? Well, having blood in your title was never really a good sign, but he was a little too peeved to care much about that.
"A few things." Charlie said holding up his hand and bringing a finger up with each point, "One. Blood Queen? What are you? The queen of 'that' time of month? Sure bitchy enough. Two. Can't say I know your reputation. If you mean the stone that couldn't even hold onto her month then yea, I know you, finally and most importantly, three. This is my room. Property of el Charlie."
Charlie gave a shrug still trying to regain the initiate in this little conversation, "You are welcome to share the bed with me though. But the names on the door with be, Charlie then Seethra."
"Thank...thank you." the girl stammers. "Thank you. This is much better." The dear girl was really polite! Sapphire was already starting to like her.
"So, Sapphire, right?" Sapphire nodded with a smile. "I'm Yeo-reum. It means summer. I think I got that name because my birthday is on the first day of summer June 21st. You called me Pearl, which is okay, too. I don't really care which you use." Sapphire laughed and nodded again. She watched as the girl stopped walking and stared around. "Wow! It's really big. It's like a museum." Sapphire couldn't agree more. Perhaps it WAS a museum...for Birthstones. It was a rather intriguing thought. She was snapped from her little thoughts when she heard Pearl laugh. "I am so stupid!" she said, "I forgot where my room is." she stood and seemed to be in thought, "Oh yes. I remember now. Second floor... or was it third. No matter. It's the door at the end of the hall on the left. So if someone is there on the second floor I'll be on the third."
Sapphire watched the girl as she nodded, picked up her bags, "So Sapphire tell me about yourself. Sapphire is a pretty name. It fits you perfectly."
"Well..." Sapphire was comfortable talking with Pearl and was no longer stuttering. She shifted her backpack before rubbing her forehead one final time and followed Pearl, dragging her luggage bag along. She smiled at the name compliment. "Thanks for the compliment."
"I guess it would suit me. I'm the birthstone of September, Sapphire. You can just call me Saf if you want. " she said, then thought for a little...and tripped when she was walking up the stairs. Instinctively, her ability activated and she seemed to be suspended in the air, before she flipped slowly and touched her feet light three steps above, almost elegantly. She sighed.
"Ah...I'm clumsy as well. So if I ever hurt you, please understand it's by accident." she muttered sadly to Pearl, afraid she would one day inevitably hurt her.
Seethra
After Seethra spoke Charlie had a few things to say and boy were they irking. Seethra stared at him with a little snake like smirk, if she had a rattler attached it would be shaking rapidly behind her. Carefully, very carefully she let her tongue feel the outlines of her teeth. When he had finished her smirk formed into a grin. She sat up and came rather close to his face, in a manor that was somewhat seductive but meant more as a sign of intimidation.
“A few things…” She said mockingly. “First, I am the Blood Queen. Why…. Heh, not as you so cleverly commented..” she said before putting her lips to his ear in a whisper “But because I was born out of the death of nations of people, I have much blood on my hands. Your frail little heart could not handle the death I have seen, or that I am” she said coming back and changing her serious tone to what it had been before.
“Second, my little Charlie. I have a reputation for that reason. I am the Blood Stone.” She smirked, moving herself on the bed as if it had been hers as long as she or it had been in existence. She found it even more fun to call him ‘little’ since he was very tall, quite a bit taller than she was. “But third and most importantly of course, this is my bed. You are just as welcome to sleep in it but now that you know I am essentially the Queen of death, blood, gore and all that good stuff I am certain you would rather be as far from me as possible, clutching a frail and meek woman. See if Teddy bear girl can bare to part with her little stuffed animal for a short time so you might have something to squeeze?” Seethra finished, a bit of a seductive tone in her voice. She was however rather surprised at Charlie’s hidden boldness and certainly his wit, it had caught her off guard but such a history would certainly scare the poor boy off. He would not dare go to such lengths to challenge her… or maybe he just thought she was hot and was fool enough to risk it.
He was.. Certainly attractive. Which made him a play object that was much more fun. To say Seethra was an attractive woman would be an understatement as well. Either way, the sexual undertones made it all the more fun and it would certainly make it even more fun when she ripped his heart out by telling him… well he will see..
She smiled to herself at the thought, looking up. She frowned and fixed her pink headband again, because her golden hair kept falling into her face, and that bothered her very much. 'It is always best to look your best' was her motto. She looked back at him, her smile back in place and her hands neatly folded over her dress.
"Ah...I'm clumsy as well. So if I ever hurt you, please understand it's by accident." Sapphire explains sounding ashamed.
"It's okay." Yeo-reum says smiling relieved that Sapphire is okay. "I'm sure everyone here has something about them that is special." Yeo-reum begins climbing the stairs again, "You may not believe this, but I have a really short attention span and I get distracted easily. So, if I forget what you told me, don't be upset, because it's not that I don't care." When she reaches the top step she sets her bags down, "I mean, you may be a little clumsy physically, but that's better than being socially clumsy like someone who shall go nameless." Yeo-reum laughs harder, then makes a fake cough, "Charlie." she coughs covering her mouth.
"I'm gonna leave them here. Which floor are you on anyway. Maybe we'll get lucky and be near one another. You wanna sit next to each other at dinner?" she says walking down towards the far room on the left.
Charlie blinked in mild surprise at her smile, so it had backfired? He had hoped if he made her mad she would storm off, but it seems she had other plans. He wanted to say something about her abusing his personal space like it was a red-headed step child, but as she leaned up to whisper in his ear, his thoughts vanished. He was not sure if it had been he who had leaned down, or her who leaned up. Charlie hoped to whatever divine being that had it out for him that it was she who leaned up.
He was not able to keep a shiver from running down his spine as her hot breath caressed his ear. Well, her birth would explain why she seemed to be really insane in the membrane. Frail little heart? That was uncalled for, his little heart wasn't frail. Charlie could give her the little part, but not the frail. Who was she to say what he had or had not dealt with? A brief thought invaded his mind, did the whole blood thing explain her hair color?
The man in him caught the bit about it being ok to sleep with her, but Charlie raised an eyebrow at the teddy bear part as his brain fought to make a connection with the reference... It snapped then, one of those wallpapers had one. "Alright already, creepy lady is creepy. You win." He gave in raising his hands in the common 'I surrender' gesture,
For a moment there he was tempted to announce his intention to stay in the room, but Charlie thought better of it. What was the point in fighting with this women, who had a few loose screws, over a bedroom? His mind fell upon a strange point, if she was made from the death of various people, did that mean if someone slept with her it would be necrophilia? Charlie reached up to scratch his long hair to get his mind back on topic.
"Lets not make this a habit. I can only tuck tail and run so many times a day." Charlie said with a shrug before slipping out the door.
"God that was a whole bunch of awkwardness wrapped up in a nice layer of sexual tension." He muttered to himself.
Seethra
The grin of victory spread across Seethra’s face as Charlie gave in. She had successfully stolen the bed room that was obviously not hers. Then there was the bit about the creepy lady. “Hah, been called a lot worse” She thought with amusement as she waved him goodbye from the bed in a boastful manor. His words before escaping out of the door made Seethra nearly hysterical. The moment the door shut Seethra burst into laughter that she attempted to muffle with a good deal of success. “Oh what fun, he is going to be fun” she said as she contemplated her plans for him.
Certainly this man had been through a lot, he had endured a good deal. The spirit woman who followed him had told her the story. Seethra however had lived long enough and seen enough to begin to not care much about other people’s pain. She had seen so much over the years that none of it seemed that bad. So did she feel bad or sorry for him despite his tragic past? The answer was a definite no. However that didn’t make her completely nonhuman, but her empathy was nonexistent.
“I will give him a little bit of recovery time before I continue” Seethra thought to herself dully. She did not enjoy waiting. Plus, there were other gems to play with… Seethra looked at her bags tediously, she always debated upon unpacking but never really did. She just lived out of the bags. She got up softly and opened her door. “Did you miss me? I know it was only a moment but I am sure you did. It’s okay though, I will speak to you later. We have so much to discuss. For now I am off to socialize, be good and place nice with the other children.” She said to Charlie as she passed. As fun as acquiring her room had been, there was no entertainment to be had by simply sitting in it all day.
Seethra roamed the building, examining it and learning its paths. The place was huge and had a lot of spare expensive items laying around… As she was in the middle of not stealing items Seethra’s stomach began to groan with hunger. “Hmm, Dinner time” she said to herself as she walked down the halls. She decided it was going to be dinner time. As she walked down she saw two girls, the one that had held a teddy bear and one with black hair. “Hey you two! Dinner! Lets go!” She said to them as she continued toward the dinning room. On her way she saw the pretty blonde girl in heels talking with the boy with the turquoise fedora. “Hey love birds, dinner time!” she teased continuing her walk. She soon reached the dinning room, all set and ready for dinner. Aquamarine had obviously been very prepared because the food was out but covered to keep warm. Seethra sat at the seat to the right of the head seat of the table, awaiting the others. They had to be hungry as it was getting rather late by now.
"It's okay." Pearl was smiling at her. "I'm sure everyone here has something about them that is special." The girl climbed the stairs again and Sapphire joined her, "You may not believe this, but I have a really short attention span and I get distracted easily. So, if I forget what you told me, don't be upset, because it's not that I don't care." When they reached the top of the flight, Pearl set her bags down, "I mean, you may be a little clumsy physically, but that's better than being socially clumsy like someone who shall go nameless." Pearl laughed harder, then made a fake cough. Sapphire looked a little lost at who she was talking about. "Charlie."
And at this, Sapphire bit her lip with a disapproving look, thinking about the rude bastard. Amethyst... Pfft. Then she smiled at Pearl. This girl had humor.
"I guess." she agreed, then, "Having a short attention span? I won't get upset. We're even."
"I'm gonna leave them here. Which floor are you on anyway. Maybe we'll get lucky and be near one another. You wanna sit next to each other at dinner?" Pearl said before walking down towards the far room on the left.
"I'll see you at dinner then!" she called back.
“Hey you two! Dinner! Lets go!” she heard the red haired girl say to both of them...Seethra Bloodstone was it?
"I'll be there after I take a shower." she replied.
Sapphire chose the closest room to the flight of stairs and dumped her gear to call it her own. She was satisfied with the room, it seemed smaller in comparison to the rooms that were further from the flight of stairs, maybe it was just to accommodate for stairs that were right outside. But she liked it. It was still pretty spacious and looked incredibly comfy. She looked at the windows and saw the outside, fields, grasslands and a small lake nearby.
"Wow... it's beautiful." she marveled at the sight before looking at herself in the mirror. She looked hideous... well, as hideous as a girl could be in her case. There was a small black stain on her face and she was totally caked in road dust as well as sand. Her hair was a little less soft than normal. She sighed before pulling out a few new clothes and a plastic bag containing her toiletries.
She slipped a little, and for once, fell. She got up and sighed at her bad luck, trying to massage the growing bruise on her right hip. It was off to the bathroom, and eventually, the sound of hot, gushing water was heard...as well as the occasional sound of someone slipping in the bathroom.
A cleaned up girl with silky brushed black hair was walking down the flight of stairs, dressed in a short sleeved, light-blue dress that reached her knees, with dark-blue trimmings. She was wearing simple black slippers that fitted into her small, delicate feet. Almost totally different from the dirty, dark clothed girl a while ago.
"U-uhm...dinner?" she asked uncertainly, hoping someone would hear her. She had no idea where the kitchen was. "And...P-Pearl?"
Aquamarine thought on how to answer Garnet's and Onyx's questions. Well it was easy answering Onyx's question, but Garnet's was hard. Where did she send Garnet's invitation? As she remembered, she spent the first few days looking for the other birthstones addresses while weakly convincing herself she wasn't a stalker, but not once had the golden-eyed woman seen Garnet's address; she found everyone's accept his. But then she frowned. What if he was a hobo? A God damned hobo and here she was inviting him to stay in her house when he probably has nothing but the clothes on his back.
Wait, what? Aquamarine was just going to ignore her past thoughts and answer their questions. "Ahem," The brunette said with an akward cough."To answer your question um, sir, you know those websites that allow you to look for people? That's what I used. The internet is such a sweetheart. And to answer Garnet's question, I'm not sure actually, I couldn't find your address...but wait, how are you here now..?" She asked with a confused look on her face. "On second thought, tell me later okay hun? I have to go and check on the things I've been cooking." and with that, she ran off to the kitchen.
On her way there, she saw several of the birthstones finding their rooms and chatting a bit. The brunette smiled. It was nice to see that people were getting along. Finally in the kitchen, she jumped and slid on a counter to get to the oven quicker. Hurriedly sliding on her oven mittens, she opened the oven and hot steam hit her face causing her groan. Pulling her masterpiece out of the oven and sitting it on the counter, she stared at it. It was a pretty brown chicken looking at good as could be. The golden-eyed girl was tempted to pour a whole bottle of hot sauce on the lovely thing, but she doubted the others liked their food as spicy as hers.
Holding the pan with the chicken in it with both hands, she walked to a door near by and bumped it open with her hip; walking into a room with a long table, chairs, and chandelier. If you didn't know where she was now, it was the dining room. Aquamarine sat the pan in the middle of the table and stretched. Hopefully they all would like her food, not that they really had a choice in the matter, well for today only. It's only proper the first night you have guests you cook them a great meal. After today, they'd be free to cook whatever they'd like, unless they thought her cooking was good and she hoped and prayed they thought so. And like mother always said, 'If you live in my house you eat whatever I make, and if you don't like it, too damn bad.' But, I never had a mother... The brunette thought, thinking of where she got that quote. Shaking her head, she headed back into the kitchen to place the rest of the food of the table.
Looking back at the table of food, there was everything you could think of! There was...well, everything you could think of. Aquamarine looked mighty proud of her work and walked out of the kitchen looking confident. She quickly walked to her room, put her hair in a high ponytail, put on a light blue evening dress, and headed back downstairs. Expecting to see people downstairs, she was wrong. Well she didn't tell anyone the directions to the dining room, so that's bad on her part. But no worries, she knew what she was going to do. Aquamarine cleared her throat and yelled extremely loud, and I mean extremely loud that no matter what room you were in, you could still her voice loud, these were the words that were spoken. "DINNER IS READY! HEAD DOWNSTAIRS, TAKE A RIGHT, WALK FIVE DOORS DOWN AND TURN LEFT! That is all." she said returning to her soft and mellow voice. Giggling a bit, she returned to the dining, seating herself at the head of the table, and waiting for everyone to come.
Yeo-reum knocks and gets no answer. She opens the door and is surprised at how small it is; compared to the other rooms she's peers in, it could almost be a closet. It's more than big enough for her, she had just hoped that it would be extra large since it was at the end of the hall.
Yeo-reum glides back and grabs her bags. She carefully places her bear on the bed against the pillows and covers it up with a blanket. She smiles at her work and then rushes for the shower. The warm water feels really good running through her hair. Her hair is so long that it takes quite a while for her to fully clean it. Once washed it's towel dry, then blow dry, then fifty strokes with a hair brush to keep it from tangling. She grabs a pair of jeans, a white blouse top, red and white striped socks and her indoor sandals and rushes downstairs to catch get dinner, and more importantly catch her friend.
"And...P-Pearl?" she hears Sapphire calling.
"Hey," she says smiling, catching her breath. "Timing is everything right?" she laughs. "Beautiful dress. You look... look so pretty." she marvels. Then she looks down at her clothes, "I feel so... so under dressed." Yeo-reum blushes as she looks at her clothes, "I... I don't eat out at places like this often. I'm more of a fast food, gimbap, sandwich shop place myself." Yeo-reum looks around, "Soooo... where doe we eat/"
Just then, Aquamarine shouted the directions to the dining room. "Well, I guess we'll talk about this later then. Let's eat." Devan smiled, and put his blue rose away as he walked to the dining room.
(My God... I don't ever want to post in a 100+ word roleplay in the morning... ever again.)
"But... I was in a painting.... for several days... How..."
Hearing Devan mumbling, Garnet turned to him and said, "You know, if you want, I can go back and keep you from getting trapped there in the first place." He laughed a bit before turning dead serious. "That was a joke. If I did that I would probably destroy the space-time continuum, tearing reality itself asunder, and killing us all." Throughout the time it took to speak, the birthstone wandered about the hall as though unable to stand still. Garnet jumped in surprise after hearing their host call out the directions to where they were to dine. He quickly recovered and turned back to Devan with a grin and a wave. He then promptly disappeared, appearing downstairs in the seat next to the head of the table. "Hello Aqua." Garnet said as though it were the most natural thing in the world to simply appear places for no reason other than not feeling like walking, for him it was. "Thank you for making us all supper."
Michael was late, something he despised being and something he rarely was. He could have take a plane, a taxi or even a boat. But of all things he decided to do he decided to walk; something he now greatly regrets. He had received the letter three days before he should have arrived, how? Snail-Mail, literally. A snail brought the letter to a rabbit which brought it to a deer which then proceeded to pass it onto another animal and another animal and well, you get the point. He left the instant he got it and packed nothing except some seeds which he could use for defense and offense in case it was a trap.
He walked some days and ran others never stopping for anything except to pick flowers for each person there, there were thirteen, right? Or fourteen? No matter he picked flowers of every color just for this reason. Eventually as he walked grew fatigued as any person would, even one that can control plants. He put himself up against a large tree to have some support, his legs however told him to sit down and quickly gave out on him causing him to fall plump on his butt. He punched the ground in frustration as he would be late. "BAH, WHY DIDN'T I TAKE THE TAXI?!" He screamed out. He felt light headed and looked above the trees, the beautiful branches create a mystifying canopy that had it's own unique vibe. However through the canopy he saw something unnatural...An orange coloring that looked like a trim for a house, in this time of year? He ignored the sharp pain in his legs and pushed himself off the ground. His legs wobbled and buckled but he didn't give up, He picked bouquet of flowers off the leaf covered floor and brushed them off. His trip had made them wilted as they lacked water and appropriate sunlight. He sighed and kept on walking each step causing more pain.
He made it out of the thick lush forest and onto pavement. He observed black marks and deduced that they were recent as he still smelt car exhaust in the air. He steadily approached the house just in case it was a trap. He noticed the door was partially open as if it was inviting him to come in. He grinned and walked up the stairs. He reached out for the door attempting to pull the door open. His hand was almost on the knob when his legs gave out once again causing him to fall face first onto the stone. "S-s-shit...I was so close...Ga...ma...n..." He looked like an idiot, his legs stretched out behind him and his hands inches away from the door. He lied there for a good two minutes for no apparent reason. "Planking, for two whole minutes...like a boss." He mumbled under his breath. He stood up once again, the flowers were crushed underneath him and his Furisode Kimono.
He brushed himself off and reacquired his pride. He opened the door and walked in. As he entered an aroma of food had immediately entered his nostrils and caused his stomach to grumble. He felt like he was at home. He took his shoes off but stood under the doorway, not wishing to be rude and just barge in.
