Guardian of Wind
Given his past, Rael rarely shows more than a slight amount of emotion. He is very quiet and rarely speaks. Should he get to know someone fairly well, he might have a short conversation with that person but nothing more. He has a very serious personality and often prefers to be alone.
Under his cloak are two sheathed, twin, short swords with black hilts as well as a few throwing knives. Around his neck is a necklace with a silver tear.
Rael grew up in a village on the outskirts of the Desitran Empire. Bandits were common in the area, but their raids always failed due to several skilled warriors and mages residing in the village. When he was thirteen, bandits attacked again, except this raid was different. While the people of the village managed to defeat the enemy, a lot of lives had been lost. Rael's parents were among them. Later, it was revealed that one of their own had betrayed them, and following a quick trial, the traitor was to be executed the next day. Rael had never felt so much hatred before and that night, he snuck into the jail and killed the traitor. He then fled from the village taking only his father's swords and his mother's necklace with him. Until he was nineteen, he lived on the streets of the Desitran capital struggling to survive. One day, a man approached him and revealed himself to be an assassin who was willing to train him. The man did not give his reasons, but Rael felt he had nothing to lose. Over the past six years, he had given up his morals. The only reason he hesitated was because he knew his parents would be ashamed in him. Rael decided to follow the man, and after the past eight years, he has become a very skilled assassin.
