Introduction
For the past few weeks, researchers and excavators had been searching the ruins of what was thought to be the place of the final battle between the first Guardians and the Ancient One. Until recently, an extremely powerful barrier had surrounded the ruins preventing any from entering. At first chance, people from all over the world hurried to the ruins in attempt to find anything, whether it be artifacts or answers to the vague legend.
Among these people, was the famed Archsage Gallen Trivell. He had dedicated his life to researching magic and the legend. He and his team were among the first to arrive at the ruins when the barrier had faded. Hearing one of his top excavatorz call out to him, he rushed to the hole and peered down into it. At the bottom, with several of men and women beside it, was a small black pyramid. Despite his age of ninety-seven, he swiftly jumped down into the hole cushioning his fall with magic.
The Archsage slowly approached the pyramid. It was very small, only being about three feet tall with a four-by-four base. He walked around it carefully examining the structure, both physically and magically. It was made of a glossy, black metal that was completely smooth all around. Inside of it, a great power could be sensed. He had seen similar things in the past, but this small structure intrigued him immensely. He felt his magic drawn to it and slowly moved his hand to it.
Several of the people around him made a start. This was an unknown magical artifact and yet Gallen was about to touch it. Some moved forward to stop him, but they were too late. The Archsage's hand touched the pyramid, and the black metal began to crack immediately. They watched in horror as the structure shattered and were amazed when they saw a small black crystal floating where the center of the pyramid once was. All of them were drawn to the power it was radiating and moved closer to it.
The crystal suddenly began shining with the light increasing at an alarming rate. Within seconds, the light was blinding and everyone in the hole began screaming and yelling. Amongst the screams and yells, a dark laugh could be heard.
Full Description: Legends state that when the ancient force that was sealed long ago returns, six will be chosen to assume the roles of the Guardians of Crisaya. With the help of others, they will do what was believed to be impossible. Together, they will accomplish what the first guardians failed to do. Together, they will bring about the end of the Ancient One.
Plot: The year is 847, and it has been eight hundred years since the defeat of the Ancient One. The people of Crisaya have lived in peace for the past centuries with only a few minor wars. This peace, however, is coming to an end. Upon the discovery of the black pyramid, no one has heard from those at the ruins. Some have ventured out to investigate the matter, but none have returned. Lately, natural disasters have been occurring regularly. Creatures that were once myth are now running amok attacking villages. With all of the chaos, bandits have seized this opportunity to raid villages. What was once a land of peace is know one of chaos.
Some have not lost hope though. They believe these events are signs of the Ancient One's return. Believing the legend, all they can do it hope that the six will bring an end to all of this. Others, however, have completely lost hope. There has not been a single guardian since the originals, and some believe no one is coming to save them. As if things were bad enough already, a being known as "The Destroyer" has appeared and is contributing to the destruction and chaos. Entire cities have fallen to this being, and none can match his strength. Some believe he is the Ancient One. Others believe he is merely an extremely powerful person with only destruction in his mind.
Crisaya is in chaos. All people can do is hope.
Empires/Nations/Kingdoms:
The Desitran Empire: More commonly known as the Empire, it is famed for its military might. With more a fourth of Crisaya under its rule, the Empire is the center of commerce and trade. The majority of Desitrans are human. The Empire has a monarchy.
The Elvin Nation: Controlling most of the world's forests, the elves of Crisaya are well-known for their strategic mind and magic users. Most do not leave the forests, but there are many that do. The forests under Elvin rule each have a council composed of five members.
The Goblin Nation: Significantly smaller than the Elvin Nation, the Goblin Nation controls most of the world's mountains. Their weapons and armor are unmatched. Very few leave the mountains, and when they do, it is often to trade. The goblins have one leader that is chosen by the people, but he or she usually has some connection to a former leader.
The Hyran Kingdom: Being the world's largest multi-racial group, the Hyran Kingdom's size is second only to the Empire. They are best known for their artisans and musicians as well as scholars. They too have a monarchy.
Note: These are only the main empires/nations/kingdoms of Crisaya. There are plenty of villages/towns/cities that are not under the rule of these four or are independent.
Regions:
The Gresha Plains: A vast plain that takes up a fair amount of Crisaya's land. The land is very fertile, so much of the land is owned by farmers or independent towns/cities. The Empire controls a large amount of the plains as well as the Hyran Kingdom.
The Sacred Forest: While it is not the largest forest in Crisaya, it is considered to be a paradise by the elves. Its population is second only to the largest forest in the world. Trees in this forest are never cut down so little production occurs in the Sacred Forest.
The Mein Forest: Being Crisaya's largest forest, its population of elves is above all other places. Some humans have been known to live with the elves in the Mein Forest. The trees of this forest grow very quickly, and so the elves of the Mein Forest create many wooden objects.
The Robare Mountains: Crisaya's largest mountain is an active volcano that erupts at least once a month. In order to prevent any damage to the surrounding land, the first Guardian of Fire cast a barrier over the top that is still holding to this day. The resources on these mountains are so abundant that the majority of the goblins live here.
Note: Once again, these are only some of the main regions of Crisaya. As the story progresses, I will add more.
Magic: Obviously, there is magic here. The ability to use magic is very common, though very few ever reach the level of that on an Archsage. Magic comes in many different forms, whether it be offensive or defensive magic, wards, enchantments, healing, illusions, etc.
Note: I put very few examples, so if you want your character to use a different form of magic than those given above, just let me know, and I'll probably allow it. The main exception is if its too powerful or advanced for the point of the story.
Races: Most fantasy races should be fine. Just to be sure, ask first, and I'll most likely allow it.
Currency:
50 US Dollars = 1 Fal
1 Fal = 50 Nel
1 Nel = 100 Rel = 1 US Dollar
1 Rel = 1 Penny
Note: This is just a simple currency system. The worth of the money is neither modern nor medieval. This is simply to establish some sort of baseline for the currency.
Rules: - These should be self-explanatory
1. Follow the general rules.
2. Be literate.
3. No Godmodding.
4. Try to stay as active as possible. If something comes up, tell me. I'll understand.
5. Romance is allowed.
6. Multiple characters are allowed. [Current limit - 2]
7. No killing someone's character without that person's permission
8. Refrain from talking out of character in the IC. Every once in awhile is fine.
9. Be sure to check the OOC periodically as that is where I may point out some things about some posts or announce some updates.
10. If you have any questions, ask in the OOC or PM me.

Significant NPCs:
Councilman Arareas of the Mein Woods: The leader of the council of the Mein Forest. Very wise and puts the safety of the Mein Forest first.
Lord Darozk of the Goblin Nation: The current leader of the Goblin Nation. A great warrior who has brought the Nation very far.
King Gale of Hyra: Hyra's seventeen year old king. Very wise for his age but lacks experience.
"The Destroyer": Very little is known about this man, other than he appeared shortly after the discovery of the black pyramid. Ruthless and extremely powerful.
Note: These are only a few to begin with. I'll add more as the story progresses.
Alright, I think that's everything for now (Why do I get the feeling I'm forgetting something?). Feel free to submit your characters when you're ready. I'll have my character up later. Should you choose to be a guardian, you won't be very powerful in the beginning, but you'll be stronger than the average person. If you're not a guardian and are something else, like say a general, then you'll be much stronger in the beginning (depending on what you are), but by the end, you'll most likely be weaker than the guardians.
I'll likely be moving things from the introductions into the appropriate sections. Nothing is set in stone at this moment. I may add, remove, or change things to better suit your characters given that the change isn't too drastic.

For a brief instant Elen believe she had regained control over her elven instincts, she had overcome them and took back control of her body. Then her senses came back to her, she felt the rocking motion of movement without using her legs, tensing and looking up in alarm she came face to face with Takeshi. A man with white hair that glittered under the moonlight and when he turned to look down at her, she caught the sight of the most brilliant looking blue eyes.
She was shocked, mouth agape as she stared, she had never been so close to another person before, she was fascinated. Then survival instincts kicked in, the interest quickly melted into terror, she began to thrash about and yell, though at second thought she bite down on her tongue to muffle her own screams. She didnβt want to be too loud in the fear of attracting other such predators, thatβs when she caught sight of Rosemary and Yuzuki and came to the conclusion that she had been capture not by one, but a pack.
Elen managed several kicks to the man holding her, clawing at whatever she could get her hands on, until he finally released his hold on her. Groaning as she hit the ground for the second time that night, she rolled up into a crouching position, gave one fleeting glance behind her to the three gathered before turning and making a dash for it.
Elen only made it as far as the barn before it occurred to her that she didnβt know where she was, she never had memory of these moments of the full moon so she had no idea how she had gotten there; she had no clue as to how to return to the mountains. With the taste of blood in her mouth from biting her tongue, and hearing the others behind her she looked around desperately for something familiar to lead her βhomeβ, but she saw nothing! The panic that spread through her made it harder to think clearly, the darkness itself seemed to close in on her, was she going to end up dying here?

βYuzu, stay here, Iβl bring her back. It wonβt do for her to stay outside tonight, she might get ill.β He smiled at the other woman, hoping to alleviate her fears and stripped off his outer jacket, running into the darkness. The moon was suddenly covered by a thick cloud, making visibility bad; he compensated with his excellent hearing and sense of smell. He slowed down to an even jog, confident she could not get away from him. He lifted his nose high, scenting her clean earthy tones. He followed them at a more leisurely pace, knowing that if he startled her again it would not do at all well. Soon they were back at the barn and he closed his eyes, taking deep breaths of air as the moon came out once more.
βUm, I guess Takeshi will find her. Do you want to wait or go on?β Yuzu asked turning to the other woman, in truth she wanted to know if she was likely to go after them. She hoped not as she did not want to have to hold her back, the other woman would have no idea how to find either of them at any rate. She sat down on the floor, uncaring of her beautiful gown; for the most part it was already pretty muddy. She looked over to the city, no more than 10 minutes walk from where she say. She picked strands of grass, placing then carefully between her thumbs and began to make ugly high noises with it. She laughed to herself, and plucked another one hoping that this one she could use for a tune to occupy them,
βIβm sorry if we startled you.β He called staying a way back from her, not wanting to startle her into running. No matter how human he pretended to be, if she ran she was prey. βWe were talking you back to our house. You had fallen unconscious out here. Iβm only trying to help. Tell me you are ok, and if you really want I will let you be. It is safe with my sister and I.β He smiled out into the darkness, knowing his hair had come lose in his run. He stuck his hand into his pocket, looking for another ribbon to tie it up with; it was to bright out in the moon light. He snagged one, obviously left over from the last time he wore the shirt and started pulling his hair out of his eyes with care. He moved his fingers through his hair with ease, pulling out the knots with patience. In a practiced motion he swooped it up in the blue ribbon, pulling tight behind his head. He looked out and could see her slender figure, he hoped dearly he didnβt look scary.

Takeshi spoke causing the young girl to jump and reel around in alarm, crouching down and attempting to hiss at him. She had seen animals do it as a warning, and unfortunately she didnβt have much experience to know such a trick wouldnβt really faze a human. Not to mention that her attempts at hissing, and to a neko no less, could only be seen as laughable at how much younger the act made her seem.
However, where her verbal warning (sorta) commanded little seriousness, her grey eyes easily got across the caution to stay away. Full of energy her eyes were like storm cloud, the inner battle of rain and thunder a metaphor to the soul that lay beyond those eyes.
Elen had to process his words slowly in her mind, she was really not as primitive as her actions portrayed her to be, she was a bright child but it had been a long time since she took the time to watch humans converse; not to mention that Elen had never done any of the conversing herself.
Tell me you are ok, and if you really want I will let you be. He couldnβt be serious, right? She remained tense, if he was lying as she expected him to be then she make a run for the city as was her plan from the beginning.
She merely nodded, βI...am fine...β her voice if used more often would sound like an elfβs musical one, but as it was she doesnβt use it often, and the words were rough sounding. She waited to see how he would react to that.

Her words sounded rough, further extending his idea that she was not quite used to the ideas of society or any form of humanity. He looked up, his eyes sparkling in the moonlight as he did so. It was a quick glance, unsure if his wild eyes would frighten her, but he needed to see her posture to judge what he should do. He hunkered down on the floor, slowly moving into a crossed leg position, it showed that he trusted her not to run off, even if it was a lie. He reached back, pulling out the bow from his hair and watching her began to move it through his fingers, working and reworking it back upβ away from his face. He did this to show he had time, even though he new Yuzu would soon get impatient and come fond them. He kept his eyes down, she had fallen so heavily before, there must be something wrong with her, otherwise she wouldnβt have needed the help.
βThatβs good.β He spoke softly, as ever trying to be tender and sincere in his words. βWhat was wrong with you before?β He asked with a simple gesture of his hand. He was very unused to being so gentle, really it was good practice for him. Being in the city meant they would once more have to open their doors to guests; guests who would not take his rough feral behaviour to well. They needed another client soon, not that they were short on money, just that they had been bought up to know the value of work. He traced little drawings into the dusty earth before him, hoping to draw her in with curiosity about him. His skin had begun to itch again and he knew they would have to take another run tomorrow, but that would have to wait.
βDo you want us to leave you?β He asked glancing up. βWe have a place where you can come and go as you please.. Food, shelter and warmth; you are welcome to come with us. My sister would like to see you safe as would the other woman. She was most distressed when you fell. DO you remember the women who were with me?β He asked, touching his finger to the floor. Tracing a circle on it, he smiled, sure that the young girl would come back with them. He did not want to think of chasing her, it would trigger to many instincts that he would have to take out after he handed her over to the woman. She was a small scrap of a girl, she did not need the memories of being chased through the field in the morning. It would be better for her to wake happy in a bed. He looked up at her, obviously deciding enough time had been given and he needed his answers.

Sharwyn watched him as he inspected the stables and animals, fascinated by his interest with the quality of work. It was strange to her to appreciate something as mundane as the craftsmanship of the wood, but then perhaps it was the honesty of such a thing that appealed to her. His question did not initially make much sense, but then it dawned on her; she did not appreciate any of this because it had always been there. "It may sound strange, but I've never really noticed..."
The stable master then appeared, he had been around since Sharwyn was just a child and had taught her to ride, treating her as well as a father would his own daughter. This likely being half the reason for his scathing comment about her choice of company. He treated Gideon no worse, however, presenting him with a horse and even attempting to give him instruction. None of which were needed, much to both Sharwyn and the stable masters surprise.
As she took the reigns of her own horse, a grim realization dawned on her. She was wearing a dress. Gideon and the stable master were both waiting for her to mount, watching her. She was not an amazing rider even at the best of times, rarely getting a chance to do so. She struggled and floundered trying to mount the beast, the excess cloth of the dress heaping together and pulling up her leg, hindering her efforts in an almost comical fashion. Once she had finally managed to mount, it looked as if someone had spun her and shaken her around. Both clothes and hair were rather disheveled, likely much to the amusement of the two observers.
An uneasy feeling stirred in her heart and she looked to the sky, the moon had become covered by cloud and even though the elf blood in her was nowhere near as dominant as her human side, she could clearly tell that something was brewing. "We must make haste, a storm comes from Desitran. No doubt it will be here by sunrise and I would prefer to have reached our destination by then."
She directed her horse alongside Gideons and stopped next to him. "I trust you know the way, Gideon. Ride hard, I should be able to keep up."

Without even noticing it the nervous elf girl started to fidget, the idea of shelter and foodβ¦it sounded so assured, food wasnβt always a guarantee when youβre a thief and the goblins were bound to find her camping out in the outer mind shafts eventually. But the idea of trusting this stranger was just an outlandish proposition, no one could be trusted.
She briefly glanced back to where the women were still situated but shook her head to clear it of any longing thoughts. She was fine alone, it was safer that way.
βI am fine.β She repeated, her words a bit more firm, she turned and marched off towards the city. She listened for if Takeshi would stay true to his word and leave her be. Wiping her mouth of the blood that had resulted of biting her tongue, she hurried her pace. She didnβt know whatβd she do at the city once she got there, how far away were the mountains from here? Would another long journey even be worth going back there? She had energy tonight because of the full moon, but as soon as the moon set the trip would take a harder toll on her then it did when her body had moved of its own accord.
Elen nibbled her lip anxiously, of course the answers to those thoughts all depended on what Takeshi decided to do with her.

A couple of hours later, when the horses trotted along the dirt path Gideon began to observe his surroundings. He could see the clouds coming their way from Desitran to his right. To his left rode Sharwyn, behind her he could see a faint glow on the horizon. The horses began to fidget and drool. Not because they started to regain their energey or that they wanted water, but creatures in the nearby woods were making strange sounds. Gideon looked at Sharwyn, he remembered that she needed a guide, she clearly didn't know these parts. "I use to hear these noises when I went to bed every night as a child, there is nothing to worry about. But, since this trip calls for nothing but haste there is no reason to stay and listen to this natural symphony." With that he urged the horse to gallop with Sharwyn following closely.
They were not 400 meters from the village when Gideon slowed down. It was a plain village, clearly abandoned for there were no lights, not even a campfire. Clearly the bandits hadn't returned for some of the livestock was still there. Gideon remembered passing through this village, his farm was a few hundred meters south and he'd pass through here every time he went into the city to trade or gather supplies.
Gideon turned to Sharwyn. He smiled. "Now, about my payment."

βFine, canβt say I didnβt try. May you be safe in your journey.β It was a formal thing to say. βLook if you change your mind we are heading to the city, you can always catch up.β He shook his head again, mildly angered at her stupidity, at least she had been smart enough to realize running was bad before him. His feet felt cramp in his shoes, more than anything he wanted to run free, but it wasnβt the time anymore. He broke into a gentle jog, knowing Yuzi would be disappointed, she always loved having children around, they were more likely to play her games. He would have to keep a special eye on her for the next couple of days if the elf didnβt follow. He watched them with careful eyes, pulling out his shirt from his trousers, tided of appearing smart. After the disappointment all he wanted was to get their guest settled and find his own bed.
Yuzu sat up, ears twisting as she listened to the steady footsteps of her brother. She shot up, knowing that he had failed in getting the elf to come with him. Her feet pattered a hasty pattern on the ground as she raced to him, launching herself with ease. Her arms clasped around his neck, her feet landing awkwardly on his hips like a tree-frog. She placed a long wet licking welcome over his cheek, nuzzling her nose into his hair she caught his scent in her delicate nose. She lent back, laughing as he compensated for her odd position. She looked back over his shoulder to the elfin girl, tilting her head she waved back to her. She laughed again, coiling her long tail around her brothers mid section for supportβ she sat their comfortable. What a silly thing to do, it was more than apparent that the girl was in need of a wash and some care, but she could do nothing about it. She shifted uncomfortably when he carried her back to the other woman, knowing it was more than hard to walk with her pressing so into his hips.
βYou didnβt get her?β She told him, as though he didnβt know. βNow Iβm going to be board, our house is to emptyβ¦ Will we have a job soon? I donβt want to stay here to long, even if we are needed.β She looked up into his eyes pleading, her tail reaching out to tangle with his.
βShh, now be quiet, she will come if she wants. If not I suppose I can go find her in the morning and rescue her from whateverβs trying to eat her.β He tapped her nose in false anger. βAnd you know better than to talk about of work in front of strangers. Excuse her.β He smiled to the lavender eyed girl, moving to walk beside her. He did not say any more as they walked nearer to the city, his ears constantly swiveling for the sound of light footfall, sure the elf would follow them form behind, if nothing more than to see where they lived. More than anything though, he hoped that she stopped them before the city, such a naive child would be unwise to let lose around the city in such a time of turmoil.

Gideon finally slowed down and Sharwyn breathed a sigh of relief, her legs and hands were aching from the journey. They had finally arrived. She had imagined the village would have been burnt down, for the corpses of the militia to have been strewn everywhere. Where were the weapons, the arrows, the sign of battle. Even though the clouds above blocked the sky, dawn would break soon and the limited light already offered good enough visibility to get by. Nothing was even damaged, even the livestock were still present and alive. The other reports of other settlements being attacked included descriptions of smoldering buildings and people murdered in their homes, possessions stolen.
She casually ambled ever closer to the village. Slightly put off by the noises of window shutters crashing open and closed, blown by the wind that had begun to pick up. Answering his question, which she had expected to come far sooner, her usual attitude kicked back in, "50 Fal upon my return, a generous sum for this task I believe. I also owe you a personal debt for this, any time you need a favor in the city I will do my best to see it done." Observing the environment for clues as she spoke, she paused for a moment to readjust the clasps in her hair, "I believe I know the way now, you may return to the city. It seems deserted here anyway, I had at least hoped for some evidence of the attack."
Even though she had expected far worse, she was by no means prepared for it. Terror crept through her body and she froze in place. One of the village houses had its door slightly ajar, blood was smeared down both the door and its frame, as if somebody had collapsed against it. Rough footprints in the muddied dirt were also visible, some leading off into the surrounding woodland, others leading further south. "Gideon..." She pointed in the direction of the house. Her lungs felt short of breath and she realized for the first time that she was alone, no longer surrounded by guards. Even though when calm she would be able to easily defend herself, at this moment she doubted that she would even remember how.
Her hands anxiously gripped the reigns even tighter, "200 Fal extra if you see this through... I trust you...", she paused again for a moment to look at him, the color in her cheeks and eyes dulled with worry, "I do not wish to be alone here."
She had been so wrong to believe she was prepared for this, her title meant nothing outside civilization.

He looked at the house Sharwyn was pointing to. His jubilant expression faded. Even the happiest man would feel saddened when the death of innocents had occured. Gideon looked at the sky, the moon was hidden behind many clouds, there was no hope of it illuminating the ground. "We're going to need a torch." He said taking of his bag and pulling out flint and tinder. He walked up to a space where the villages kept their firewood, found the driest peice and lit it. He looked on the gorund, in the muck there were swords, shields, puddles of blood and drag marks. He bent down, examining the width of the marks. "People were taken. Judging by the size of the marks they seemed young. Probably 8 or 9 years old." He got up and walked back to the house, carful not to get his boots wet, or bloody. It was clear why they couldn't see any signs of a battle from far away, everything was either embedded in the mud, or laying on it. The horses neighed and kicked the ground near the tree they were tied too. The sounds had started again, they were still far off but Gideon wasn't sure if they were coming closer. What he was sure of was that they were animals, and if he and Sharwyn were going to stay here long then they would have to move the horses closer to the center of the village.
He looked at the doorway, aside from the blood there was nothing else. "A person didn't enter here during the battle, there are no weapon marks on the door or frame. They did it after the fight." He held his hand in the door with the torch, illuminating the dark corners, seeing if anything undesirable was hiding. In the far corner he saw a bearded man. sitting against the wall he was covered in blood and muck. His eyes opened slightly since he was attracted to the firelight. Gideon could clearly see that he was a guard from the city. "Sahrwyn!" he called to her. He crouched low and held the wounded man so he could sit up. His face was dirty, his beard stained red by his own blood. Gideon looked down at his wound, a red stain was growing out of his side, the hand covered most of it, but failed to hide the broken spearshaft sticking out.
Sharwyn entered the room, Gideon turned to her and gave her the torch. "Hold this. I'm going to see if there is a well nearby."

Her initial guess was the female was attacking the man for whatever reason, when Yuzuki waved to her over her brother's shoulder Elen was afraid that she was gesturing in frustration against having a meal get away. But...the woman didn't seem to be punishing the man; she was smiling from what she could tell through the darkness.
It clicked in Elenβs mind; it was a greeting gesture, one she had even used to beckon her bird friends to play. Was that a trick as well? They were moving away, they were letting her go, she was still aliveβ¦
Crouching low to the grass with a wince she crawled closer to the group, just out of curiosity she wanted to see the others of the pack. Would the women punish the man together? Maybe they had food on them? Now that they didnβt seem to want to prey on her, she switched gears to make them her victims. She kept quiet though, trying to manage down wind, just because they followed their promise doesnβt mean they wouldnβt go back on it.

She froze in the doorway, watching Gideon tend to the wounded man. His face was known to her, she remembered him from when they organized the guards for the village. Now he was hanging on to his life by a thread, all because they had been too stubborn to evacuate the villagers. Her legs felt as if somebody had torn all the strength she had left away from her, and through no choice of her own she leaned back against the frame of the door, regardless of the blood that was smeared down it. The consequence of her own inaction lay clearly before her, in the emptiness of the village, in the lives lost and in the man lying half dead.
Raising her head to Gideon as he passed, she gladly took the torch, "Thank you..." Before he left, she grabbed him by the arm, her grip was tight, not with strength but with desperation. "Be careful Gideon, I..." The guilt weighed heavily on her conscience, like a great iron ball and chain, dragging her down. "I have not be entirely honest with you about this... I will explain when you return."
Her head dropped and her eyes forced themselves shut. She wanted to comfort the wounded man, but she could not bare to show her face, not after all of this. Instead she simply stood by the door, still as a statue, hoping it would all simply go away.

His anger dissipated a few minutes later as he stubled on a smooth stone that had fallen from the broken well. He searched frantically for the bucket, remembering the wound on the soldier's side. He used the pulley to get the water, the moment the bucket was within arms length he tore it off of the rope and went back to the house, trying to spill as little as possible.
He made his way towards the farthest corner of the house, kneeled down and let the soldier drink, supporting the bucket as the man gulped down the water. Gideon placed the bucket aside, still half full with water, which slowly turned red with the man's blood.
He walked towards Sharwyn, and slowly lifted her head with his hand so she could look him in the eye. Gideon's face had turned cold. "He's not going to make it, even if we pull the shaft out." He paused, still watching her. "You were going to explain something to me."

As they exited the in the light was just beginning to come over the horizen and touch the city."Well at least this city doesnt look so evil during the day," Liesel said still seeing her breath in the air. Seeing that Liesel was still only in her dress," Leisel cover up, or your going to catch a cold." Liesel sighed and grabbed a coat she had in her pack and proceeded to wear it and said, "for you I guess." Fendril spent the next hour or so asking around the guards about infomation and even greased a few palms. The tatic worked out as he was pointed in the direction of Gador's Pub. He and Liesel navagated their way though the city with a few lest then short short cuts having never been there.
He came to a the door with the sign Gador's pub just like the guards said and proceeded to enter. Looking around he saw alot of nasty looking folks and spoke to Liesel softly, "keep your lance ready you never know." With that Liesel released the lock on her lance and it extended to about two feet, just enough to get the drop on anyone. Fendril knew the bartender was the best place for info so he appoached the bartender, a gruff man with a quite a few years under his belt and asked, "I'm looking for info and I pay very well," pulling out about 10 fal. The bartender eyes glinted at the money. He picked them up and bit into them testing whether they were real. Being satisfied with his test he replied in a hushed tone, "I know a man with his ear to the ground, he should be back later tonite. He's out in the neihboring town for some supplies." "Fine serve me up a beer and one for her while we wait," with that Fendril and Liesel headed to the back of the pub to a empty table and proceed to wait for this man.

Lan walked over trying to get a better spot to hear what they're saying, but when he passed a spot they noticed him. "Hey boy come here!" he was slow to react, but he walked over to them. Before they could say anything else, he said, "You know who I am?" the men had a puzzled look on their faces, "because if you did, you wouldn't be doing this." They started laughing at this point. Lan didn't like being laughed at, he didn't like it at all. "Boy, do you know who were are? We're the most famous bandits around here. We never got a name because the people who hear it wouldn't need to know."
"I will act like this never happened," Lan was planning his strategy for these men, "so just leave now and this won't get messy." The bandits got another laugh at this, now Lan was mad. The leader said, "Alright we'll just take all your stuff and we'll leave, that sound good?" The bandits moved closer to him, circling him and laughing. When one of grabbed his shoulder, there was a flash of light and Lan's jacket was gone and a sword appeared in his hand, he turned his foot and chopped the mans arm off. Blood splattered on the ground and the man screamed in rage. The bandits drew their swords and sliced and chopped at him, but Lan parried them all. "I just woke up and I don't want to deal with this," he took off one of his earrings and released a wheel of fire. The bandits were engulfed in flames and ran around screaming and rolling on the ground.
Lan turned his sword back into his jacket and left the men burning on the ground. He walked over to the group of people with his mom in it and said with a sad voice, "I'm sorry mom, I had to do it," he ran over to her and started crying.

He hummed along despite himself, his voice moving in and out of her own, though not quite in tune it was a sweet thing to here. He watched her fluid movements, trying to find the best place to step in, he did not want to make a fool of himself in the city, but out here it was fine. He saw her step to the left and moved forward confident as ever. He took her hand, swirling her around like they had when young, before they had been abandoned. She moved with such poise that he laughed out loud, breaking the song with his harsh but freeing bark. He spun her one last time, capturing her in his arms and lowering close to the floor without a single on of her hair touching it. They smiled at each other, the best of friends as ever. He pulled her to her feet, swatting her on the rump as they entered the city. He frowned being the last to take the step across, his ears swiveling, he hoped the other girl would be fine.
βTaka, donβt worry so, I donβt think she is far behind us.β She said taking his arm in her own. The city was as bright as ever and she glanced at their companion who had gone mostly silent in their extrovert company. The house was not far from the brake between the city and outer lands, it would be good to get some sleep she thought yawning. She did her best to look tired despite her alertness, her ears twitching for any sign of unrest in the people that covered the streets. Tail twitching in agitation, most of the people were off the streets, it getting so near to sunrise, but this did not bother her, they liked to sleep in the day. The night was best for hunting and playing in whichever form they chose, so they were often awake most of the night and slept away the day. She thought longingly of her bed and a warm bath; for the morning when the would need to look out for a job.
βI know Yuzu, but I donβt want her to become hurt.β He sighed, swiftly falling back into his melancholic attitude. He steered them towards the old house, reaching into his pocket for the keys that were always with him. He trudge up the steps with care and fit the old rusty thing in the door, just as he had expected, the staff though they had gone already, they were in for a shock in the morning. He paused at the door, ushering the woman and closed them in, waiting to see if the girl would be clever and come to them. He would wait for a bit while his sister sorted things out inside, then move inside to join them, locking the door. He slid down the front, landing on his rump and was content to sit for awhile.

He spotted a man setting up his goods to be sold. Rael approached the man and spoke, "Excuse me sir, but I was wondering what happened here." Despite the fact that he rarely spoke to anyone, it was best to be polite was gathering information.
The man continued to work as he replied, "Earthquakes around here have been frequent lately, and what you see around you is the result of one a few days ago." By now, a small table with some food had been set up. Rael paid the man 3 Nel for a loaf of bread.
He continued to ask, "And what of Duke Tynvore?" The duke had no family. He was a young man who had yet to marry or have an heir. He was the only child of the former Duke and Duchess of Sarress who had passed away a few years ago.
"His Grace decided it was best to remain here in Sarress to keep the morale high." Rael nodded and gave the man a Fal as thanks for the information. His eyes caught the sight of three knives that were clearly made by a master craftsman or blacksmith. He paid the man 10 Fal for the knives, leaving him a very happy man from all the money he had made in a few minutes. Rael turned and walked towards a giant blockade of debris. He jumped forward, using magic to propel himself over the blockade and used magic again to cushion his fall. He walked on, thinking about what approach to take with the assassination.
The duke is still in the city, and many people have likely fled. This will be easier than I thought, he mused. He decided he would sneak around the duke's manor to become familiar with the place and possibly hear some more information. He continued down the streets of the city towards the manor, processing through any possible scenarios.

At the gates of the city she lost site of the strangers, and yet she did not pause nor give the notice to the guards at the entrance of the city. The ancient words still floated on the air and she swayed as she passed through. Both of the guards watched her approach, one barked out a question but she did not hear him. Elen heard the song, she felt the dance, and she had eyes only for the fading night.
A hand lashed out and grabbed her roughly by the shoulder, Elen's eyes widened. In a sense it was like a bubble had popped, fog lifting from her mind to become sharper to her surroundings. Elen now saw the towering buildings, she heard the agitated shouts, and she winced as the guard that had grabbed her shook her as he spoke.
Her heartbeat escalated and she started to thrash in this manβs hold, whimpering as his firm grip would not loosen. βDid ya hear meh, ya brat? You think you can waltz in here-β the rest of his sentence she didnβt bother to translate in her mind, she was too overcome by the stench of his breath. He reeked of alcohol. Had this man really been drinking on patrol?
His partner merely leaned up against the wall, unfazed by his drinking buddy verbally harassing the strange child. The one leaning against the wall identified the ones that had entered earlier, though he raised an eyebrow to the late hour at which they did, but at least he was level headed enough to tell who had access and who intruders were.
βThatβs enough Bernard; itβs just a kid after all.β The drunken guard huffed and started to drag Elen back out the gateway, the elven child had been struggling the whole time, whimpering as his grip tightened on her arm. Squirming, she let herself drop, the dead weight enough to surprise Bernard into dropping her.
Elen sprang up and made to run for it, as far as she could away from him, Bernard stumbled and managed to grab onto her long hair as she got up. Hands were all over her in that moment as he tried to get a proper hold on her, despite all her efforts to stay quiet in the beginning she didnβt hold back the shriek as he caught hold of her.
A few houses nearby had lights flicker on at the noise, Bernard grumbled and attempted to spin around and throw her back out of his city. Bernard didnβt have very good aim drunk, Elenβs screams cut short as she was flung into the gate wall, her head making an audible smack sound against the stone structure. Elen passed out for the second time that night.

She was her again, the small village of her master. It had about 70 poeple that resided her at any given time. The air was tense in the village for they heard the rumors that a man was coming. This man would arrive at a village and shortly after the village was no more. Lesiel knows now this man was the destroyer. The rumor was that he sought one of our village's treasure. She saw her master as a young man talking to a old person, the village cheif his father, about somthing hushed. "But father you must leave with the treasure," Fendril said. "No my son, I will fight along with you and we shall see this man's so called power," the frail man said as he stood up and looked as if he could take a whole army on his own. "I will hide it at that place, if I do not make it you must take it," the old man went on and took a huge sword off the wall and headed to the hiding spot. Fendril took the lance off the wall as the lance hissed. He looked down and replied,"I know he is near, I need your strength once agian gungnir, please lend me it."
He left the house and spotted a man clad in pitch black armor appoaching the village. "Here he comes men, FACE HIM AND PROVE YOUR WORTH," Fendril yelled as he rallied the towns guard. "He is but one man commander, we can handle this," with that the men charged him. The men drew their weapons and attacked the man. "Hmph this is all," the armored man spoke as he cut each men down in a flurry of blows. Fendril could barely follow the movements, it looked almost as if the armored man was dancing in the blood of the fallen. The armored man appoached fendril and spoke," Boy tell me where the sword is, or i will kill this whole village." I'll never betray this village," Fendril screamed as he thrust the lance forward. The armor just simple side steped at a blinding speed while bringing his hand down for a counter attack. He's to fast Fendril thought as he barely moved the lance to block. The blow from the hand was magically charged for when it hit Fendril, even though he blocked the blow still shattered one of his arms and cuased a cratar to form as he hit the ground." Gahhh," he screamed as he hit the ground,Dam I can't beat him like this. The armored man smirk as he noticed fendril was still alive, "So your still alive, I will have you tell me where the sword is, and for punishment I'll have you watch the village be destroyed before your eyes."
The man tossed Fendril away like a piece of trash. Fendril hit the ground with a thud and rolled a bit. Haveing not been defeated yet he stood up, slowly but he still stood up. If i cant beat him normally I'll unleash this spear and take him out he thought as he raised his lance to the man. "Still haven't had enough then, I'm glad," The armored man replied with a smile. Fendril knew one arm was down but had no choice, "I call apon the king of dragons, the scorn of earth, the bane of man, lend me your stergth once more, to your worthy servant," The lance roared and replied," Son of man, I shall grant you the power to burn your enemies to ash and turn the world asunder." Fendril felt power surge from the lance and enter his legs as they froced him forward with the power of a rocket. As he traveled forward a flame image formed around him as a dragon with his mouth open. The armored man smiled and faced the attack head on. We crashed with a explosion. The smoke cleared and the attack connected but only to his amor which had a small hole in it. "This was wonderful, I havent had my armor damaged in a long time," The armored man said as he romoved the lance and tossed me aside. "I see that you are indeed an oppenent and I'll let you live. Fo ri want to face in the future." Fendril's vision faded as he saw the man appoach his house and heard," I'll let you live but everyone else is going to die becuase you couldn't stop and I'll be taking your precise treasure with me, that sword."
With that Liesel woke up with a startle."Same dream huh," Fendril said and Liesel could do nothing, but nod in repley. Liesel thought to herselfThat sword the master carries I wonder if it is the same sword as from the dream.

"So where are we going next?" Lan asked with a bit of excitement. "We're heading to the Empire Capital, we'll be putting on a grand show. Plenty of people will be there, and many rich people." Lan's mom always thought about the profit. Since she grew up in a poor family, she always counted the coins she got and never spent any of it. In the end it wasn't enough but she was able to join a this group of minsters and jesters. He didn't know why she joined with them, but he never asked.
"Will it be better than last time we were there? Sure it was humorous, but we weren't able to finish the show." The memory of that man's pants catching on fire will always stay in everyone's memory, since the only thing that could put it out was... the wagon stopped suddenly. Lan got out to see what was going on, and saw the coach looking at a sign. "Hey Tan, what's going on?" The man was like a giant bear, with his size and hair he didn't know how he got the nickname 'Tan' since the sun never touched his skin. "Well lad, I've forgotten which way we go. I can't remember if it's right to the Empire or left to my drinking buddies, or the other way around. It's got me stumped."
By now, everyone was gathering around trying to guess which way it was. "Well, which way did we come from?" someone yelled. "I don't recall the name of the town we were at," yelled another. "Should we flip a coin," said a woman in the front. "For goodness sakes lass, if I thought that was a good idea then I would've done it already," said Tan in a burly voice. "Well we have to do something, let's take a vote. All who say we go right raise their hand," people raised there hands. "All who say we go left, raise your hand." More people raised their hand but not everyone voted. "All who say we follow Maggie's leg, raise your hand." Maggie was a old woman with a leg that seemed to always know the answer. Everyone else raised there hand. "Alright, Maggie's leg it is, where is that woman." A hunched over old lady pushed through the crows saying, "I'm here, I'm not dead yet." People laughed, it was always funny to hear her talk about her age.
Maggie took off her leg, and dropped it to the ground.... it pointed right. "Alright folks, let's get a move on. Don't got that much farther." Everyone went back to their wagons and we started moving again. Lan shifted over to his mom and asked with a smile, "Mom when you get that old, will you get a leg like that?" His mom smiled and said, "You won't have to worry about that, you won't have to worry at all."

After several minutes of sneaking around, the assassin spotted two guards in conversation standing in the middle of an area with very little cover. He carefully navigated behind whatever he could and got within about ten feet of the guards. He listened intently to their conversation trying to pick up on any important.
"I heard they've brought another one in," one of the guards said.
"Rumors are that she's a pretty little thing," the other said. This caught Rael's attention. He had dealt with plenty of situations, and this was beginning to shape into one he was quite familiar with.
"Not to complain, but don't you think the duke is going a bit far with this?"
"I couldn't care less. We get to reap the benefits."
"I guess you're right," the first guard said, though sounding a bit unsure.
"With that, I'm going to go get another one."
"Now, right in the middle of your shift?"
"Do you see anyone here? His Grace won't care." The second guard walked away, and Rael carefully followed him, his movements still silenced. The assassin followed the guard to a small building and waited outside as he peered inside to see what the guard was up to. The guard opened a conceal door and began to shut it, but Rael enhanced his speed with magic and ran through just before the door closed. He didn't mind taking this risk. Either the guard would notice him and get killed, or Rael would get out of there without the guard ever knowing.
He followed the guard down a flight of stairs and down a hallway, and after walking for awhile, cells to the left and right came into sight. At first sight as to who or what was inside the cells, Rael knew what was going on. There had to be at least twenty cells, and each contained a girl or woman who were either near or completely naked with many having bruises on their bodies.. Their ages seemed to range between earlier teens and late twenties. With enough information, Rael enhanced his speed and quickly left the place, his movements still silenced. After exiting the building, quickly but still carefully, sneaked around the grounds and jumped over the gate.
No longer having the risk of being caught, Rael relaxed his pace and returned to the inn to formulate a plan. He entered his room and sat down on the bed. The duke was a twisted man. He was taking advantage of the earthquakes to kidnap girls and young women. Given their appearances, it was obvious as to what was happening. Though he had given up his morals during those years after leaving his home, the life of as an assassin had reestablished those morals, hence the fact that he would not kill women or children. Disgusted by the duke's actions, he was deciding whether to make it a quick job or let the man suffer. Either way, one thing was for sure.
He was going to enjoy killing this duke.

They began selling tickets for the premier show, "GET YOUR TICKETS HERE, FIRST SHOW OF THE WEEK! COME GET THEM SOON, SEATS WILL SELL OUT QUICK!" People began flocking over, trying to buy a ticket. There was nearly a riot like all the other times, but luckily everyone got a ticket. "COME BACK HERE THIS NIGHT, YOU WILL REGRET IT IF YOU DON'T!" People were excited and disbanded. "Hmm, we cut it short there, that was close." Tan sat down, and wiped his head off with his handkerchief since his head was sweaty from all the work. Lan noticed this and stood up on the stand, "Get ready people, we don't have long. Practice your stunts we can't allow any screw ups here." The crew members clapped and went to their separate areas. Lan's mom walked up, "Don't go doing anything hard alright, I don't want anything to happen." She kissed his forehead and patted him along on the back.

That would be because I have to accept your character and I haven't logged in for awhile. The main thing I want to point about your character is that you said he's a guardian. There are only six guardians and all six spots have been taken.

There are some people who can't post because they're waiting for others to reply to them (that's my case). Other people just haven't come on and posted yet. This could be because of a number of reasons.

Hey knight i found a replacment for the guard so when you can accpe tthe character ok ^^
I've already accepted her character.
hey knight could you possibly tell me where you are, i'm think of a place to go next and it might be a good idea to go where you are.<("<)
My character is currently in a city on Desitran land. I don't know if it would be good for your character to meet my character there since he's there to assassinate the duke and will leave once the job is done. If donanater is alright with it, maybe your character can meet us at the Empire's capital. Of course, that would be at the night of the current day.
