Personality

She would prefer to sit in a corner and invent or make something than anything else, including talking to people. It isn't that she lacks the social skills or doesn't like people, but she gets immersed in whatever she is working on and refuses to stop. When you finally catch her in-between projects she is very nice and great to be with, but most people avoid her because they get sick of waiting for her to finish what she's working on. You could call her a little bit obsessive. She is VERY good at inventing things, even electronics that the adults in her district haven't begun to envision, but she isn't very book-smart. She keeps all of her revolutionary inventions a secret, fearing punishment.

History

Effie lives with her mother, father, and 3 siblings. Her mother's name is Cassie and her father's name is James. She has a 7 year old brother named Tristan, an 11 year old sister named Zoe, and a 19 year old brother named Jude. James and Jude work together in a factory making various gadgets for the people of the capitol. Cassie stays at home and takes care of the children and tutors Harper. Harper was kicked out of school when she was young because the teachers had seen one of her small, yet revolutionary inventions made out of little pieces she had seen lying around the classroom. The peacekeepers were not happy, so she was never allowed to go to school again. Now Harper is much more protective of her inventions than is necessary, but she is extremely paranoid about getting caught again.
