Nickname
She doesn't like nicknames.
Gender
Female.
Age
21/40
Role
Female Vampire 1, Coven Master
Appearance
Unlike the photo, she does not have horns, but she does bandage one eye to cover her blind one. Her eyes are a beautiful greenish blue, which she decorates with makeup, but she became blind in her left eye at age 21 after a violent vampire attack that had her turned. She prefers to cover it up because it makes her feel as though that side of her body is weak when it's exposed when she is, in reality, strong all over. She stands at 5'8" with long limbs, and is very skinny. Her strength surprises many in battles because she's classified as an "easy target" and then uses their underestimation to her advantage. Her long blonde hair gains a reddish looking glaze in the right sunlight, or when wet. Her attire changes often between dark colored sundresses, and formal dress slacks and nice blouses. She doesn't wear jewelry, and nothing on her body is pierced.
Personality
A rather complicated woman, with lots of mood swings. She can be completely independent one moment, but then need someone at her side the next. She can be calm, and then furious about something. Her emotions are always on the extreme side, but she works to keep them under control because she's aware of her mood problems. She's somewhat self-critical, but doesn't obsess over being perfect. She's a terrible liar, it's better that she doesn't even try and she knows it. But she does know when to keep her mouth shut. She's quick to anger when it comes to attacks on the people she's fond of. She's somewhat eccentric when it comes to her favorite things, but is also easily knocked down. Simply tell her that you don't like the thing that she's excited about and she'll suddenly feel very down. Again, very moody.
A sense of love is the most important thing you can give her, right next to family. She's been doing things on her own and keeping secrets for years now, so having a lover she can tell everything to would make her life pretty darn perfect in her eyes. However, she doesn't go out looking for someone to love. You'd need to make a good impression.
Skill(s)/Abilities
She's as excellent with daggers as she is with guns, specifically handguns. She's nearly proficient in these, but when it comes to long-range gun or melee fighting, she falters often. She prefers not to use her teeth if she doesn't have to. She's very flexible and knows some gymnastic skills, though she's no acrobat. She's good at sneaking around--spying, eavesdropping, etc. It's a skill of hers well-practiced, and she's pretty good about getting information out of people...one way or the other.
Likes
Gymnastics; it makes her feel like she's floating on air.
Blood; she's not a freak, but something about it fascinates her... besides the fact that she needs it to live.
The sun; she misses being able to spend long days in a sunny landscape.
Horror movies; she feels they make her smarter in reality, knowing what not to do in cases of killers or zombies or being trapped.
Hand-written letters; you won't see her send an e-mail. It's either a phone call or letter. No texting either. She also enjoys newspapers over TV or internet.
Sundresses; perfect for her favorite sunny days, and it makes her feel feminine again after murdering a victim.
Drama; but not being a part of it, she just enjoys watching it unfold.
Dislikes
*The dark; though she loves the moon and stars, she hates compromised eyesight, especially because she can only see out of one eye.
Chocolate; she prefers sour to sweet.
Werewolves; she believes vampires are superior because the wolves are merely animals, whereas vampires retain some of their "humanity" by never changing form.
Techno music; it changes its sound too often. Give her a classical or soft rock song with a steady beat.
Leather anything; belts, jackets, pants... she's no dominatrix-style vampire. She likes to keep it real.
Being outnumbered, whether it be in a fight or a verbal argument.
Video games; such a waste of time!
Fears
To a degree, the dark. Read above*.
Losing her other eye.
Being rejected by her coven.
That she might have a sibling somewhere, but they passed away.
She's highly claustrophobic.
History
Kathrine was adopted at the age of 4, and she's yet to learn why her parents abandoned her. Her adoptive parents knew next to nothing about them, and they got out of contact as soon as was possible. She lived a normal human life, and when things like gymnastics and weapon handling just came naturally to her later on, she figured it was just talent in her genes. At 14, she encountered her first vampire by accident. She didn't know how or why they existed, but after she was attacked and miraculously survived, she had a desire to have that same power. She began sneaking out and seeking them, and found that it wasn't hard to eye one out on the streets to spy on one. She got better at spying on them, and eventually began to pick out their weaknesses. This spying went on for two years, without her parents ever knowing. At 21, she grew the balls to actually approach one in an alleyway. She was attacked but was confident that she would destroy. This confidence lost her her left eye, and her life as a mortal.
An adventurous child at best, it's amazing she survived on her own growing up. Eventually she left her adoptive parents to start a life of her own, and shortly after moving out found that she wasn't the only one who didn't want to hide in the shadows for her entire life. She's never felt more powerful.
The View From Here
We strived so hard for this,
You can't imagine what it takes.
You haven't walked in my shoes,
You'd rather stand in my way.
And all I know...
Is what I see before my eyes,
I'll learn this on my own,
So follow me or move aside.
We stand at the edge of what's to come,
It's who we are.
It's what we love.
Now that we're standing tall,
I see the light in our view,
Do what it takes,
It's what we're born to do,
For those who live.
For something that they believe.
We live and die for you to
break the mold and follow your dreams.
We stand, at the edge of what's, to come.
It's who we are, It's what we love.
It's who we are, It's what we love.
These are the paths and the roads we take.
How dare you try take this thing away?
These are the paths and the roads we take.
How dare you try to take this thing from me?
