Camp Half Blood... The place for young demigods to go to train so they may live to an older age. We are the best, safest, and only place for demigods to learn to defend themselves and to learn who they are while making friends. The camp is located on Long Island Sound and has been doing rather well for the past, hundred, two hundred years or so.

The camp is run by the greek god Dionysus, or "Mr. D", as you campers will be calling him. Chiron the centaur is the camp activities director and a rather good one at that as a good old game of Capture the flag commences every Friday night.

Demiods, in case you've never known, are the offspring of Gods or goddesses and a human on earth. These demigods can posses strange and amazing talents that range from controlling water all the way to being extremely charismatic to the point of controlling one's every thought. At camp, campers can learn how to control these talents and put them to use in better ways as the storm on the horizon grows larger and larger with each passing day.

Hone your skills at the archery range being taught by the best of the best, Practice your sword fighting so you don't get eaten by a monster, or even relax on the beach of long island sound and play or chat with the mermaids. Here you can do and have everything a half blood would need to survive in a world where they are hunted down by monsters, and usually, if not always, killed by them.

Trouble is brewing on Long Island Sound and Chiron the centaur is not the only one who can tell. Kronos, the father of time and the gods, is rising yet again and is after the gods children. If he can destroy the children of the gods, their arms and legs so to speak, he can watch as Mount Olympus crumbles from the inside out.

Little does the camp know, they are about the face an attack of which they have never faced before. Half bloods from around the world attack them as well as monsters and giants. The gods, having been busy on the summer solstice at their meeting, didn't know until it was too late. Camp Half blood was reduced to ashes and with this, majority of the half blood population.

The Big House was nothing but ash, all the cabins destroyed, the beaches littered with bodies and blood of fallen heroes and heroes that didn't understand their mistake until it was too late. Kronos was pleased and could not wait for his army to crush the rest of the Half Bloods around the world. Only when he realized that he made a mistake did Kronos become furious.

He had killed the great heroes of Olympus including Percy Jackson and Annabeth Chase as well as all their friends, or so he thought. Percy Jackson and Annabeth Chase were missing when the dead bodies were searched. The two half bloods Kronos truly wanted dead, weren't quite as dead as he had hoped.

Furious, Kronos sent his minions out to search for them until he heard of even worse news...

Image

ImageThose Kronos overlooked have not and will not give up until they can make their efforts and understand why they survived clear. They feel guilt that they should have lived and their friends died, but they are ready to go out into the world to save it after uncovering a long lost secret.

Kronos will begin destroying towns should the Half Bloods not turn themselves in. Half of Maine is already destroyed as the Half Bloods know they are the worlds last hope. With the Gods unable to help and their numbers reduced to nearly nothing, the half bloods discover that the combined power of the Big Three's only children left might be enough to reduce Kronos back to nothing.

With this however, the half bloods realize there is only one hope. With every other child of Poseidon child dead, the group realizes they need to find Percy Jackson, lest the world is doomed and everyone they know and love that isn't yet gone, will perish. They have less than a month before Kronos destroys the entire United States leaving the group without a chance to find the son of Poseidon allowing Kronos to destroy the Gods and the world.

The groups task is simple, save the world, but when you have an army run by the titan of time and have no supplies as well as nobody there to help you with any guidance whatsoever, how will they handle it? After all, the have nothing left to lose.

A once thriving haven of a camp that any demigod could go to to be safe from monsters and those in the world that wished them harm. Beautiful rolling green hills with borders that would protect them all for ages. The volleyball courts, sing a long area, and beautiful big house was enough to make some half bloods cry in their relief to arrive at the haven. That is, until these past few hours have come.

It's been twenty-four hours since the attack began. It's been twelve hours since the gods have cut off contact with their children. It's been six hours since Percy Jackson went missing. It's been three hours since the remainder of the camps campers took up residence in the Big House. It's been one hour since the world as they knew it ended.

Everyone was dead. Everyone that had survived, only survived out of what must have been luck. All had been buried under rubble, half dead, or with broken bones. Nobody was spared an injury and everyone will be haunted forever more.

Chiron is missing, they have no oracle anymore, and the one guy that knew the most about this world was gone. They had the titan of time coming to kill them and they had only one chance to stay alive and save the world, that is if they don't mess it up.

The half bloods rise from the ashes, bloodied and lucky to be alive, as well as hurt physically and mentally after witnessing their friends, siblings, girlfriends/boyfriends, and idols, dead.

How will they survive and cope with this loss that ripped their hearts out? Will they have enough of one to be compassionate to the rest of the world? Or will they just give up on it like their parents have given up on them?

Jordan & Jason

Jason lay in the ashes that had drifted to the beach. He felt sick, ready to vomit. He felt something on his stomach and upon looking down to see it, found himself turning away to vomit. One of the Athena children's armored hand lay where Jason had pushed it off. He managed to look around, trying hard to breath in the smoky and ashy air. The death around him made him sick all over again and he looked down, shaking his head. Where was Jordan? Where was his brother?

Jason managed to stand, the water near him red with blood and bodies as well as body pieces lay floating slightly, but not getting pulled out to sea. Jason struggled as he walked forward, searching for the familiar form of his brother. He carried his broken arm in his other hand, the compound fracture a great deal of pain though he didn't really feel it so much right now in his worry.

Jason heard a soft whisper of his name and searched the area for the source. Laying half in the water not ten feet away was Jordan, his back slashed from what must have been a hellhound. His shirt was just gone, the ribbons of what it was now, scattered near Jordan's body. Jason stumbled and tripped over fallen bodies, not bothering to look now in his sickness.

Jason fell beside Jordan, landing on his knees as he looked down at his brother. He couldn't see the rest of camp from where he was, but he was certain it wouldn't be much better. Here on the beach at least not many people had made it here when the monsters came by sea.

Jordan smiled weakly up at his brother. "You're alive," He whispered, somewhat awed by his brother being alive. He hated to cry, especially now after what just happened, but tears streamed down his face in relief and sorrow for what was around them. Jason just looked down at his brother, not believing it either. "You're not supposed to cry, I am," Jason manages to croak out, his throat filling with the smoke and ash around them.

Jordan just shakes his head and allows himself to be assisted in standing by Jason. Jordan held Jason up while Jason, searching the sky, found the light he needed to at least put his bone back under a layer of flesh. He whispered a blessing over Jordan, physically not capable to do more.

The two, leaning heavily on each other, began to climb the hill, slipping in the blood and ashes of the dead disintegrated monsters. They were both coated in blood as if they had taken a bath in it, and both knew it was mostly others though a lot was their own too.

They stumbled to the crest of the hill and looked down to the valley in horror. It was a watershed with blood. Bodies pooled at the bottom of the hill and blood ran everywhere, including on the sand that used to be part of the volleyball court. The cabins and the big house? Ashes and rubble. The amphitheater, nothing but cracked stone and rubble of what might have been. It looked like the ruins of pompeii though only after the volcano had exploded another couple hundred times. The once green land was gray, red, and black. There was no beauty there anymore, and it only reinforced the idea that they would probably die soon in the next few days if not because of their injuries, because of the Titan that is bound on the idea to kill them.

Both now had tears in their eyes. Their haven, their family, their friends, they were all gone. Jason began to crumble, not being able to hold himself up after having to try and keep infection from getting to Jordan's gaping wound. Normally it wouldn't drain him, but after such a fight and having to fix a broken bone from coming out of the skin, but still having the broken bone? Most halfbloods would pass out.

"No, no Jason wait," Jordan manages as he tries to hold up hi brother but can't. He feared that if Jason fell asleep, he wouldn't wake up. "Hey, hey is anyone out there? Please, help us," Jordan called out, trying to hold his brother close and keep him awake. He wondered if someone else would be alive, or how or what they were going to do, to live, or even just stay alive after such a scene as they had faced today.

Michelle's unconscious body lay in what used to be grass outside her old cabin. What was grass, was now burnt ashes, and bodies of dead or critically wounded monsters lay scattered around. She awoke, pain all over her body, she moved each arm, head, torso, right leg... left? No.. she couldn't move it. In fact, when she tried to do so, it caused her more pain. Groggily, she lifted her top half up on her arms, and half-turned to find her leg, about mid-thigh, was trapped by a post from her cabin. She moaned in pain. "Gods, help me!" She cried out in anger, but then remembered they'd left their children, helpless.

All she could feel was pain. She'd never felt like this in any way or form for any reason. Some type of torture she was going through for no reason at all. It'd all suddenly just crashed and burned before her eyes. It was like some torture Hades, her own father, was putting her through, for some reason she didn't know of. At first, she thought this was some type of test the gods were putting their children through, to "Prove their rights". Michelle laid her head on her arms when she heard breathing nearby. A little too nearby.

A creature was still alive next to her. It looked like a black-colored hyena, with it's torso in embers. A long tongue lay on the ground next to it, and seemed to still be wet, and twitched every so often. When Michelle moved, it's eyes opened, showing a bright, shining red color to them, and it beared it's teeth, each as sharp as knives, and stained with blood from it's previous victims. Although, the creature then whimpered in pain, as she had, and it had tried to get up, but was missing half of it's back leg, making it lay on it's stomach.

The creature, which Michelle guessed was some type of hell hound, started to crawl it's way towards her, fear cringing in her. She quickly looked around, and just out of reach, was a sharp end of wood. She reached, stretching her arm as far as it'd allow her, quite sorely, and just managed to get it in her palm as the fingertip of her middle finger brushed it. The hound came closer and was just about to bite a juicy bite into her torso, when she whirled around, and stabbed the hound in it's head, making it fall over limply. After catching her breath, she heard what sounded like a human.

"Hey, hey is anyone out there? Please, help us."

Michelle started to weigh her options in her damaged skull, but then realized they, if they were like her, could possibly help her. She lifted herself up on her arms to see a distant figure holding another, and weakly walking.

"Hey, over here!"

She tried to flail her arm, but it quickly bent back in pain. "Agh.." She groaned. "Over here, please! I can help if you get me free!" She exclaimed, with a small ribbon of hope. Michelle looked down at her leg. It was bleeding, and she could feel small pieces of rotten wood in her flesh, seeping in deeper as they were pushed in by the large piece trapping her.

"This... This is hell. Is this a punishment?"

Silence broken stirred the young woman from her unconsciousness. Her body was floating on the water, leaving her in a position to easily go under and make her way back to shore. When she came up in the shallow beach, she did not gasp for breath. She simply started walking to the sands. Luckily for her, her belongings were still in the place that she left them far on the beach near some rocks. She lifted up her light backpack by one strap and carried it at her side rather than putting it on her back. She took only a few steps before the full ruins of the once-beautiful camp was fully in sight.

She was paralyzed for a few moments as images flashed across her mind. Her in the full monstrous form she rarely took. Knocking away wreckage and helping people. Being met with insults, being called a "monster" and other harsh words. For a moment, she swore she could even feel the burning embers around her as she was drawn into this flashback. A slightly louder sound in her mind broke her from this trance, that of a low growl. Two more chimed in before all fell silent. "Yes... You're right. Sorry." She whispered in response before she began making her way towards the camp. Or rather, what was left of it.

The ground was littered in corpses, some recognizable as some of the ones she tried to save. Others were her friends, or at least people that she had them believing that she was their friend. It made her feel sick to her stomach, it made her feel powerless and filled with regret. There really was nothing she could do now. The silence in the air really did not help that. Left her with her own thoughts for far too long. Luckily, the call of another woman broke her from entering another flashback state. There were survivors apart from her. This was a good start...

She began making her way over to where she had heard the voice. Soon enough, a rather frightening sight came into view. A girl being attacked, rotten wood visibly stuck in her. Her blood was staining the burnt wood as well. There was no way that she could have helped her without changing to her other form again, her true form. She was about ready to, despite the consequences, when she noticed two other figures coming down the way. She had hidden herself behind a fallen cabin and watched as they came closer. One of them was one of her friends from before, Jason Brooks. With him must have been his brother. She no longer had the guise of that girl. Now she looked like herself... provided she had full humanity. So acting all buddy-buddy and familiar would probably get her nowhere, raise some confusion, if not, suspicion. But changing to look like her felt pointless at this point. The camp was gone. It would provide a reasonable excuse for her disappearance and death. A false reason, but an easy one to mention should it ever come up. She waited for them to get closer before taking any actions.

It was safe to say that she was scared. She would now look like a stranger to anyone that had not seen her transform the night before. Anyone who was once her friend would have no idea who she was. She only hoped to herself that nobody would think her an enemy or some evil person just for not being known. That was the exact opposite of what she wanted by even coming to Camp Half Blood. But it was now that she had a chance to start over, prove her real self's willingness to help and be... to be the opposite of her mother. That was important here. Hiding out would not help this at all.

"I'm here." Her voice would come from behind the building before she showed herself. Making a brisk walk over to the downed girl, she dropped her bag down a little way's off and crouched beside her. "You are going to be okay. I promise." No matter what it took, she would make sure that she was okay. She did not yet know how she was going to do that, but she would. She decided to start by trying to move the large piece of wood that trapped her. It had budged a little bit, but not enough to completely free her. She had no strength in this form, at least not enough. That did not stop her from persisting, slowly making progress in small increments. By the time it would take for the two boys to reach her, the larger piece would have been mostly off of the girl. She did not know if her trying to help would have hurt her any more but she seriously hoped that it did not. She repeated many times, "I'm sorry," as she was doing this. Just in case it was hurting her.

The tired girl would crawl back to the front of the wounded one and grab her bag. "I'm sorry. I'm sorry... I think I have a little bandaging in here. I'm sorry." Unzipping it in a quick motion, she began sifting through and trying to find any medical equipment. She had managed to steal a couple of things from the medical cabin as she tried helping others there last night. What it came down to was a nearly-depleted roll of bandaging and a half-bottle of alcohol. "Do you... know how to apply these things?" It sounded like a stupid question, but whenever she needed to heal a wound, she'd spend a day or so in the water. There was rarely a need for these things. She gave one final "I'm sorry," after speaking and held out the bottle and wrap to her. More feelings of uselessness would start to creep in. A bark in her head would make her sharply sit up straight, attempt to keep those feelings at bay. And for now, it worked. Her focus was set on helping however she could.

It was a funny feeling. When Theseus opened his eyes, he thought he was still having a nightmare. When heh ad woken up, he half-expected to find himself in his own bed, but the desolate landscape before him confirmed that the events from the night before had been no dream. Thanks to the overuse of his powers the night before, his clothes were half-charred off. The attack had been so sudden and Camp Half-Blood had always felt so safe. Sure, there were a couple close calls back during the First Titan War when Luke poisoned Thalia's tree and when the monsters attacked through the Labrynthe, but Camp Half-Blood always stood. Until now.

Theseus pushed a dead body off himself, a son of Hermes he noted idly. He did kept himself from thinking of the boy's face. There would be time to reflect later. He reached into the pockets of his charred shorts and with some relief found some ambrosia and an eagle feather. With practice, he thought of a sword and a moment later, he was holding a leaf-shaped sword. With a resigned sigh, he began to make his way through the wreckage, looking for survivors and supplies. Camp Half-Blood was dead, but the monsters didn't destroy everything. In the armory, he found a set of armor and a shield and in his old cabin, he even found a set of clothes that hadn't been destroyed or stolen as battle trophies.

Then, he heard something.

"Over here, please! I can help if you get me free!"

Michelle!, he thought. Quickly, he ran in her direction and with some relief, he found her already being tended to by a girl he did not recognize. Normally, he'd take a moment to admire both girls' forms, but this wasn't the time to play around. Instead, he arrived to help her push the wood the rest of the way off Michelle.

"New camper, huh?" he asked the new girl with a gentle grin as he took out a bit of ambrosia out of his pocket to offer Michelle, "You're doing well enough. Don't worry."

"Be careful not to use too much, Theseus," came a voice from afar. Looking up, Theseus saw a stern-looking boy approach from the distance. Like him, he was in full armor and carried a spear and shield, but Theseus could tell he was tired.

"Cy, good to see you!" he greeted with a grin, only to get a nod in return as the son of Athena examined the two girls stoically. He frowned slightly at the new girl.

"Interesting," the boy mused, "She is familiar, but I haven't seen her before..."

"She must be new," Theseus guessed with a shrug. Cyrus gave the girl a knowing look.

"You are so easily deceived by a a pretty face, Theseus."

"Oh, come on Cy. Don't go all paranoid on me now. She was helping Michelle," Theseus told him before turning to grin at the new girl,"Don't mind Cyrus... Er, what's your name, beautiful?"

The last thing Laura saw before the building knocked her unconscious were the lives of her siblings crushed by monsters. The last thing she heard was one of the younger members calling out her name before she was brutally murdered. Calling out for someone to help. Why didn't she help them? It was all her fault they were gone now. She was responsible for them, and she failed. It was the only thing Laura had to do. But she screwed up. Their blood was on her hands (literally and metaphorically).

Laura woke up to flames lapping at her face. She tried to simply swat them away, but she couldn't move underneath the stone and rubble. She used all of her strength and couldn't move an inch. Not being able to do anything else, she conjured fire from her hands to burn through what she could. The wood and other burnables turned to ash and she could finally move the other stuff off of her. Her head was pounding and her left wrist seemed to be out of place. She didn't feel the pain yet, but she would in time. How did she survive?

Vaguely, she heard voices from outside the remnants of the building she was in. Laura was actually afraid to go out. She must of looked like a monster herself, with blood pouring down her face and her clothes were stained crimson with the fluids of others. She stumbled out, taking in the gray view that struck her eyes. It took a few moments to locate the small group. They were about 50 feet away from her. Laura tried calling out, but her lungs couldn't take the sudden air. After a coughing fit, she decided to physically approach the group. She recognized Thesus and Cyrus at first. Then, the Apollo twins came into view. Michelle was there and...some girl trying to heal her wounds.

"At least some of you guys survived." Laura tried to keep her gentle tone, but it probably sounded unemotional to the others. As she tried to process what was going on, Laura was remembering what she was doing before the attack. She kept remembering the lives she couldn't save. Those poor children, their lives hadn't even begun. "But first off, we need to get everyone patched up. Who's up after Michelle?" Laura's vision started to spin, but she was determined to help the others first.

Jordan & Jason

Jordan looks down at his brother, then over to where he had seen the girl. Bending over, he sucked in a breath as his back moved, then pulled his brother onto his shoulders, off his back though it strained it.

As Jordan stumbled over bodies towards the girl, he looked up to see others and smiled. He listened to Cyrus making fun of Theseus and felt slightly better that they were at least bringing something normal to their ruined lives. "Good, we aren't alone," Jordan manages as he gently lays his brother on a patch of grass that wasn't too bloodied.

"At least some of you guys survived," Jordan heard Laura, daughter of Hephaestus, say out loud, "But first off, we need to get everyone patched up. Who's up after Michelle?" Jordan pointed at Jason.

"Jason, definitely Jason. When he's patched up, he can get everyone healed faster. Theseus, got any nectar?" Jordan asks as he walks towards Michelle, kneeling beside her as he took up the alcohol and bandages. "And he's so much better at all this stuff than me," Jordan says as he sets them down.

He had nothing. He had been one of the people defending the medical tent for the few two, three hours it was standing. Jason had been inside helping people. Jordan didn't even have his bow, any arrows, or anything that could help him.

"I can do it," Jordan says as he groans, sitting down, then looks at Michelle. "This is gonna hurt like Ha... like hell," Jordan says. He almost said Hades, what they sometimes called the underworld.

Jordan grits his own teeth as he pours the alcohol onto her leg. He then begins to wrap it with the bandage the way Jason would have. Ambrosia would help with pain and speed up the healing, but it would still take time.

"Gods, what do we do now? We don't... we don't have anyth-," Jordan begins before his vision turns green around the edges and a series of images flashes across his vision. Them running, then a fiery explosion, and a figure, smiling over all the destruction. He knew who it was, and he hated nobody more.

His vision came back to normal and he saw the world almost differently as he realized what was happening. "Everyone, into the forest," He yelled as he scooped up Michelle knowing someone would grab Jason who was closer to Cyrus than anyone else.

"Someone's coming," He yells as he races towards the ruined woods, hiding behind a fallen tree trunk. As the others followed suit, the last of them ducked down just as the place where they had been exploded in flame.

Through the ash, Jordan saw what he had just seen. There stood Kronos, the titan of time. Beside him, Hyperion stood. On the other side, Oceanus, the one who was responsible for the massacre on the beach. They laughed with each other, savoring the destruction.

"Where's the Jackson boy?" Oceanus asked as he looked in the wreckage. The titans looked with him a moment more before frowning. "The Miller girl isn't here either..." Hyperion whispered loudly, angry and letting of a puff of smoke.

Kronos shook his head, his fists clenching then relaxing. "More importantly, where is Nox?" Kronos yelled, hurting Jordan's ears as it echoed louder than the other titans' anger. The group in the woods stayed silent as the titans viewed the area around them.

"Find those demigods, and kill anyone who gets in your way," Kronos declares, then disappears. The other titans look at each other, then follow suit.

"What do we do? Should we look for stuff we can scrounge? If we can get to Manhattan, Jason and I know someone that can help us... He's a demigod," Jordan offers, sitting back, careful for his back, a pit in his stomach. The titans were looking for the children of the big three... Why were the looking for the children of the big three? Each was focused on their own kid. Each seemed like they wanted to kill them.

Jordan, unsure who else to look to, looked at Theseus. "What do we do?" He asked Theseus, looking to the guy that was reasonably, their best bet on a leader.

"Jason, definitely Jason. When he's patched up, he can get everyone healed faster. Theseus, got any nectar?"

"No, just ambrosia," Theseus replied with a shrug as he watched Jordan wrap the bandages around Michelle's wounds. He wish that he had some. Ambrosia and nectar always worked the best together. However, a little bit of ambrosia went a long way, he knew. He broke a little bit off the chunk he had and offered it to Michelle.

"Come on, let's get you up to your lovely, scary self," he told her with a slight grin. He winced in sympathy as Jordan cleaned her leg. He couldn't tell how many times he had to have his wounds dipped in alcohol. He was soon distracted from his thoughts by his brain doing a somersault in his head. Soon, he and the others hid in the forest. He frowned slightly as he watched the Titans.

Great. Evil gloating and shouting an order to find the heroes. Why are villains never original?

"It isn't advisable that we stick around for long. Doubtless, the Titans are watching the Camp," Cyrus noted with a frown. Theseus nodded in agreement.

"We need to get to Manhattan as quick as possible. We should either hide among other mortals or find some secret way. Do you think the Stolls smuggling passages were discovered? They and the Hermes kids always used to sneak stuff from Manhattan through them."

He felt his heart clench as he mentioned the Stolls. They were probably dead along with the others. Cyrus nodded in agreement.

"Those tunnels can work. Or we could find a car, though I don't know where we'd find one," he noted. Cyrus frowned slightly as he looked over at Laura, "Are you okay? You look disoriented."

"New camper... Good cover. But this one suspects something..."

The girl who was addressed as a new camper stayed silent as people went through the motions, tending to the injured and getting re-acquainted. She was met with different reactions. One distinctly, the one from the boy known as Cyrus, was burned into her memory. He did not trust her. And his expression was almost offensive, like he knew. What took her mind off of that for a moment was the boy who called her beautiful and asked her name. Pink ever so subtly touched at her cheeks as he did so. Someone could think she was beautiful like this. If only he would think so about her true form... That would make her comfortable. But not even she could find that the least bit pretty. "Yeah, I'm a new camper. Or was, I guess... I was only around for a couple of weeks. But I'm Kim. Kim Song. I'm sorry we couldn't meet under better conditions." It all came out easily. This statement was both a truth and a lie. It was a bit easier telling this lie since it had some honesty to it. She chose to say nothing to Cyrus, however. In the back of her mind though, there were three low growls that certainly did not trust the boy.

Soon enough, more people joined. There was no sign of anyone else in the camp, unfortunately. These small numbers were all that survived of that attack. That sunk quickly to the pit of her stomach. There were so many demigods here the day before, all smiling and being around people like them. They were enjoying themselves, training to be the best that they could be. And then nothing. They all died. All of them, save for this small group, and one of them was technically not even a demigod. And one or two of these demigods felt like they were pointing their crosshairs right at her. It made her feel uneasy and in response she hugged her arms around her sides.

She remained silent as she listened to their now-Leader talk about a tunnel system to get to Manhattan from the camp. "Out of curiosity, how long do you think it will take to get through the tunnel?" In truth, she was asking because of her condition. However, her smooth way of talking would fail to give that off. "If it is more than a day or so, we should at least hang around long enough to scavenge some supplies we can find. Food and things like that." Her bag had little more than a spare hoodie and her handheld system. There was room for at least a couple more items should there be a need.

She was attempting to make herself as useful as possible. The closer she got to everyone, the better it would all end. At least, that is how she thought it through. If she proved her usefulness and overall goodness, then it shouldn't matter if she is the child of Scylla, provided anyone specifically found that out. It was best to think things like this out in advance. She could not quite gauge who would be easiest to get along with thus far, save for the one called Theseus. The leader, who had called her beautiful. This was good. If she could earn the trust of the leader, a group would naturally follow suit. "Either way, I agree... If we get attacked again, there is no way that we will be able to defend ourselves. We should leave as soon as possible."

Suddenly, there were all of her old friends, around her, and helping her. A girl she didn't recognize right off tried to lift the wooden bar off of her. She seemed nice, and cute as she tried to fumble around with some medical equipment. Theseus came as well, which gave her the most crazy butterflies in her stomach. "Come on, let's get you up to your lovely, scary self." He looked so strong-willed as he tried to help her. Then, Jordan came and literally poured alcohol on her raw leg, making her frown, and grit her teeth hard, letting out a whimper, "Jordan!" She pounded the ground, and went to say something about him catching himself in his sentence earlier, but was lifted into his arms.

Michelle couldn't exactly tell where they were going, but there were a bunch of trees and brush, then she heard them. Kronos, Hyperion, and Oceanus. "The Miller girl isn't here either..." Why were they looking for her? Did Hades, her father, send them? Why would they be looking for her or the others? Michelle never honestly understood the whole relationships between the gods, and demi-gods.

Michelle slightly shook her head, tuning into their conversation. "Either way, I agree... If we get attacked again, there is no way that we will be able to defend ourselves. We should leave as soon as possible." Michelle shook her head tiredly, and rubbed her forehead, sitting on a large rock nearby. "Yeah... what she said?" Michelle chuckled slightly, feeling as if she was hungover, from all the blood loss. Her leg looked like she took an ice cream scoop and scooped out her calf. Resting her hands on her knees, she made sure her hurt, and now bandaged, leg didn't touch anything. Michelle couldn't really walk right, and wouldn't be of much use for a bit, like Jason. But Jason could heal himself, she couldn't. Just simply bring back a zombie form of a dead person. Michelle sighed at the thought of her power. It seemed useless.

Michelle didn't, and wasn't really listening to the others. Something about Manhattan? Shrugging, she decided it wasn't her fault. Half of her leg was gone, and she couldn't really do anything on her own right now. Nothing good, at least. Her clothes were pretty much gone, her pants came down to about midcalf, and had burn stains on them as well as small holes on her thighs, a few holes revealing burns on her legs. Her shirt had no sleeves now, and was mostly a grayish color, as it was pure white. There were tears in the seams, and in the torso area, with a burn or two.

β€œCome on!” His voice rang throughout the din in the Ares cabin as the others looked up at him with doubt in their eyes- the first time he had ever seen any form of diffidence in the eyes of Ares children. β€œWe are the children of Ares, the sons and daughters of the god of war! What makes you think we should fear these monsters that bite away at our walls? No! We should welcome them with open arms that wield deadly weapons, lure them in into a dangerous pit of teeth and claws! I say we do not shy away from this opportunity- our blood boils to fight, and this is an instance that we must protect others as well.” Giving them all a once over, Corin let go of the bunk he had been using to hang himself from, landing on the ground with a dull thunk as he turned once more to look at all of his half-siblings. β€œIt’s time to fight.” As Corin turned once again, the door burst open as a snarling monster lunged directly at the throng of Ares children that had frozen momentarily- but one war cry turned into many as Corin charged out of the room, his dual glaive flashing cold and murderous in the air. He would not succumb to anything today- it did not matter that he did not know the dangers that he faced off with. All that mattered was that he would get his cabin mates out alive.
But it seemed as if everything was against his will. β€œCorin!” Corin whirled around as he saw Adelaid rush to his side, taking a knife in place of him taking the slash from the humanoid monster that cackled, reveling in the flesh blood that had made contact with the air. His heartbeat pounded in his ears. It took Corin a split second to recover as he shoved his glaive into the head of the monster, tears streaming down his face as he quickly grabbed Adelaid and made his way back into the cabin. Placing her down, Corin muttered words of assurance as he quickly grabbed a younger child and ordered them to heal her before rushing back out into the mass of fighting bodies once more. An explosion went off to his right as Corin allowed his glaive to twirl around his body, slashing monsters away from himself as he closed the Ares cabin door, hearing a lock sound from the inside as a child immediately tried to ensure their own safety. The lock made him feel worried- but Corin immediately allowed the thought to slip away as he doubled over to avoid a blade, his hand snaking down to his torso to grab a knife which he shoved into the body of the monster.
But it was obvious that they were outnumbered. Another scream sounded to a side as Corin watched another half-sibling go down, the monsters cackling as they dove into her outspread innards as if diving into a feast. He fought back the bile that rose in his throat until a thought caught Corin off guard, causing his glaive to come to a second long stop- Amelia. β€œOh, gods.” Corin’s glaive resumed it’s actions as he twirled around again and again, eyes wide as he looked on at the large explosion that had come from the Hephaestus cabin.
The cabin where Amelia was in- and no matter where Corin looked he could not see one of the ingenious inventions that the Hephaestus children were so proud of. His heart sunk. Everything was not going as he had hoped it would. More screams filled the air as more Ares children fell, but Corin allowed his body to move on until he noticed that his arm was not following his mental orders anymore. Then, it was his chest. His right eye. His grip on his glaive became weaker and weaker as he watched monster after monster fall- yet more came up to challenge the Ares child as his muscles started to fail. No, he would not die this way. He could not- but by now his right arm hung in the wrong angle. Tears streamed down Corin’s face as he looked at the Hephaestus cabin as a large flame caught his eyes. An explosion? Corin thought as he was flung back through the air, his body flung against something that he could not discern. A new wetness came in contact to his skin as his eyes slowly blacked out, lids falling ever so slowly as the sounds of screaming demons passed to him.

Where am I? Shifting around, Corin let a small groan leave him as he tried to ignore the horrid feeling of his clothes and armor plastered to his body. He felt weak- his arm felt almost nonexistent. A tiny shrieking noise played from his left ear, blocking out all noise- he was half-deaf. Forcing open his eyes, Corin turned his head left and right as best as he could, the searing sun blazing down on his head with a vengeance that he could not cope with. He closed his eyes again as he tried to move the fingers on his left hand. No response. His right- he could hear some scuffling from that side of a hand scratching into dirt. Then the sound stopped as Corin kept his eyes closed, a small sigh leaving him before he finally peeked through a small slit as his right eye adjusted to the light before opening the other- or, well, attempting to open it. He could feel a swell that spread throughout most of the left side of his face. But it wasn’t like he ached at all over his body. It was only times like these that Corin could thank his pain disorder, which allowed him to skip over the human sensation of pain.
He knew that he did, however, need to get to the infirmary as soon as possible. But as his good eye roved around the scene in front of him, Corin could only know that it was impossible. Everything was burnt down; all that entered his line of sight were the ruined cabins, burning forest. A grey, dirty sky, as littered and clustered as the ground below. Ignoring the weird creaks in his body that sounded in protest, Corin fumbled to get up on his legs, blood oozing out of the multiple wounds on his leg as he did so. Nothing felt wrong though- but a stabbing pain in his ankle made him wonder of a bone fracture. He needed help. Coughing out the phlegm in his throat, Corin gulped down his bloody saliva, licking his cracked lips repeatedly as he looked around, hobbling from tree to tree as he tried to regain his voice. β€œHello?” His voice cracking from the small whisper he was using. He coughed again, his chest heaving from the exertion he was pushing on his body. β€œAmelia? Anyone?” But something was eerily wrong. There seemed to be barely anyone there- and as he staggered in the direction of the main camp, the reason as to the silence became clearer and clearer with every staggering step. A small sob left Corin as he turned left and right, spotting demigod after demigod laying in the ashes and debris that had once been their homes. Their homes- shelter from the outside world that had wished to crush their very existences. It had seemed that fate had won this time around. β€œAmelia!” More names spewed forth from Corin’s lips as he pushed himself into a run, feeling more blood leave him as his mind grew woozy, his eyes blacking out second to second as he stumbled around on his feet, frantic to find the faces of friends. He did find them. One with an abject look of horror; another with a look of surprise. Dead. Dead. Dead.
All of them were gone. The Ares cabin’s door lay ajar with blood- Corin could not go in there. Lurching backwards, Corin stumbled in the direction of the destroyed Hephaestus cabin, hoping that Amelia would be there. But scavenging through the debris brought him nothing. β€œNo…” A small sob left him as he tried to ply the debris away, but his hand gave away as a grotesque crack sounded throughout the clearing. β€œNO!” His yell echoed throughout the deserted cabin areas as an angered cry left Corin, tears streaming down his reddened face as he knelt there. Hopeless. It was useless. Everything was.
This is my end.

After they had fled and heard Kronos's little rant, Laura heard a familiar voice boom through the desolate landscape. "Oh Gods. I think I need to go talk to him alone for a moment. And also, Cyrus, thank you for your concern. I'm fine." She had left before the discussions of escape had started, more worried about Corin's mental state. She was going to ruin it further with the news she had. It made Laura feel awful, but he had a right to know of their sister's passing. This would be one of the hardest things both Laura and Corin would have to deal with for a while. Slowly making her way across the field of death, Laura approached the child of Ares.

She didn't have to say anything. Corin was staring blankly at her, waiting for answers. Laura already knew that he couldn't find Amelia. "She....she died quickly and painlessly, Corin. I tried protecting her, but they got a jump on us. On all of us." Her voice quavered as she lied. Laura was also visibly shaking as she recounted Amelia's death in her head. Laura was the oldest, she should have been more alert. Her other siblings weren't old enough to defend themselves. "I do have something that I managed to salvage. It's not finished, but I can touch it up at some point later." She brought out the black dagger. It had Corin's and Amelia's name engraved on both sides of the blade. She handed it to him. "It's not much, but she didn't have my help with it this time, so she was proud." A glint from the Hephaestus cabin caught her eye. It seemed Helena was still intact. It came through the air and into her hand. Master and sword were together again. Pulling the sheath over her shoulder, she helped Corin up. She also gave him a brief hug.

"We need to get moving. The others are waiting for us." She noticed his twisted arm. He wasn't in pain, but she made him pull it back into place so it wouldn't get worse. She burned his smaller cuts shut, as she has done multiple times before. It was as if Corin were her own brother, instead of them sharing a sibling. He still had not said a word to her, but Laura understood. "Come on. Can you walk without me?"

Jordan & Jason

Jordan nodded. The Stoll brothers... They were some of Jason and Jordan's best of friends. They knew there was an entrance in each of the cabins, though those would be all destroyed, except maybe the Hermes cabin entrance. They made it disguised so Chiron wouldn't find it and it was clever.

Jordan looked up to see Corin in the distance. Great. They had children of Zeus, Hades, Apollo, Hermes, Hephaestus, and Ares... They would need to make do with their small numbers, lest they join their friends and family on the ground in a pool of their own blood.

Jordan shivered. "I need to get bandages. If we're going to make sure we're okay, we'll need more," Jordan says, waving vaguely in the direction of the destroyed healing tent. They also needed weapons, but their adoptive father had enough. Jordan's bow had broken at the fight on the beach. Jason's had gone up in flame with the rest of the healing tent.

Jordan stood, looking at his brother laying in the ash. "I'll be right back," Jordan whispered, watching his brother with concern before turning to leave. He refused to acknowledge the girl, Kim. He had seen what she had done at the beach. He knew something was wrong with her.

Jordan looked through the wreckage, pushing away a large beam of wood to find blonde hair beneath. Moving a piece of what remained of a tarp, Jordan saw a girl he faintly recognized. Her eyes were closed and she was rather beautiful. She was a daughter of Aphrodite if he remembered correctly, though he was pretty certain.

He looked down at her and was about to hide her face again when he caught sight of her chest. She was breathing. He reached down, scooping her up and groaning slightly at the weight he was too tired to want to carry. He set her down outside of the wreckage, looking down at her. He saw a large gash down the side of her leg, the reason she had been in the healing tent when it went down. Jordan picked her up, holding her carefully when he spotted a small bag. He moved to it to find a bag half filled with clean bandages.

Jordan didn't feel like smiling, didn't think he should when there was so much death around them. Jordan walked back to the group, wondering if Laura would be back with Corin yet. "Look who I found buried under some rubble," He says setting teh girl next to a now conscious Jason.

Jason looked over at her, then rested his head on the log behind him. "What do you think Theseus? Your call," Jason says, looking up at his friend. "I can get everyone okay when I get some ambrosia," Jason says softly, knowing he would probably pass out, or die if he tried to heal something more than a scrape right now.

"I suppose we can look around camp one more time before we go," Theseus relented. He handed Michelle the rest of his ambrosia, eying her leg with concern. She looked worse off than he first thought when he saw her being tended to by the new girl, Kim. He nodded in thanks for her name.

"It's nice to meet you, Kim. I'm Theseus, the cynical one is Cyrus, the twins are Jason and Jordan, and..." he paused fora moment as Laura arrived with a new person, Corin. He smiled in relief and even Cyrus looked grateful that the son of Ares still lived. Corin may be hard to get along with, but Theseus was glad he was still alive. He continued, "The mother hen there is Laura and that is Corin."

"We could use a meat shield," Cyrus clipped lightly, but they could all tell he was relieved to see Corin. He nodded at the son of the war god, "You fought well, Corin. Surviving this attack was no small feat."

"Cy, can you go gather some supplies while we look after the wounded?" Theseus asked.

"Perhaps I will not be the best person to do so," Cy mused before turning to Kim, "You have a gift for evasion. Enough to fool anyone watching the camp at the moment. You can find some supplies in the Big House."

Cy looked at her, as though he was communicating something. Cy's words would be clear to her. He was asking her to use her powers to disguise herself and he would cover for her for now.

"He certainly knows something... But I'm not here to work against him. I will do as he asks."

"Yes, of course. You are right... Everyone please stay here. I will go scrounge up what I can." This boy, Cy, definitely knew. It was something in his eyes and tone that gave it away. But he was right. Whoever was watching the camp would not expect to see a monster. And even if they did, they would not expect that the monster was a camper. She grabbed hold of her bag and slung it onto each arm before running off into the distance.

There was plenty of wreckage to hide behind as she would obey his command. Rather naturally, her two legs split into three scaled tentacles, thick in size and blue in color. At the end of each tentacle was the head of a wolf, rather fuzzy like the land beast and un-scaled like the tentacle it stemmed from. Rather than growling and letting loose the howl they wanted to, Kim shushed them with a pressed index finger to her lips. The beasts obeyed and pressed against her as they sought attention. She smiled softly and patted each of their heads a few times. "Lilly, Bernard, Maxwell. We're going to help them, okay? If you find anything of interest or use, bring it to me so mommy can put it in her bag." With another ruffle of their heads, they spread out along the nearest building and began looking through the wreckage.

The whole while, her heart raced. What if someone had seen them, had seen her? It was nerve-racking, made her anxious and scared. She had changed her hair color to a more gingery-appearance and taken on a more caucasian guise just for safety's sake. But they would still see her as a monster if they saw her. They would not see Kim Song, but they would still see the monster... Luckily a soft bark would distract her before she descended into negative thoughts. "Lilly? Find something?" One of the heads would return to her with a small metal box. It was burnt and already oxidyzing, but the image of the red plus mark was still vaguely visible. Kim cracked it open only to reveal that the contents inside of it were mostly intact. The box was a tough one for sure. Bandages, cleaning alcohols, gauze, ointments, plastic bags and several other key medical kit products. The wolf head received a good pet and a kiss on the nose before the other two heads began searching more furiously, seeming to growl at one another in jealousy. Luckily, they were none too loud.

Each of the remaining two heads returned with some half-melted bottles of pills. Labels were recognizable enough to realize there were a few antibiotics and some tylenol. "You three are the greatest little babies I could ask for!" She would praise these wolves, though they were just separate parts of her own being. They seemed to think for themselves enough that she treated them like their own beings. Even she did not completely understand what they were. But they earned some praise before Kim got to putting the pills into bags from the box and labelling them with a marker. Putting everything into the box, the box made its way into her bag and wrapped around the spare hoodie.

Each of the wolf heads received another pet before they would rescind and turn back to normal human legs. Kim had changed from her caucasian appearance back to her normal self before she left. Ducking out behind another building, she returned to the group within a few minutes' time. Holding up her backpack, she patted it firmly a couple times with a large, triumphant smile. The sound of metal being tapped came from her bag, accompanied with the sound of other contents shifting around. "I found a mostly-intact medical kit and some medicines. Not a lot, but it should be more than enough to get us around. There were some food bits, but they were mostly burnt to a crisp and really inedible... I'm sorry I couldn't find more." Hopefully this would somewhat win the favor of Cyrus. He knew. And he was an obstacle keeping her from fitting in completely. She feared him for a good many reasons. "But we should probably leave soon. If you say that they are coming here for us, we need to go." With a couple of swift nods, she bit her lip and put her arms through the backpack's straps, awaiting the next course of action.

Corin did not respond as the Hephaestus girl made her way over. He knew her- obviously, he did. He knew almost everyonne whom resided in the camp by face, especially the Hephaestus children (along side the Ares children) due to Amelia- but she was gone, and Laura's voice only affirmed his worst nightmare. Amelia was gone. "She....she died quickly and painlessly, Corin. I tried protecting her, but they got a jump on us. On all of us." A sob left Corin as he held his head in his hands, a lone tear rolling down his cheek as he denied the information. "No." He muttered into his palms, denial filling him though Laura continued. "I do have something that I managed to salvage. It's not finished, but I can touch it up at some point later. It's not much, but she didn't have my help with it this time, so she was proud." But Corin only huddled down into himself even further, not willing to listen as she spoke. He knew that he could not blame Amelia's death on Laura- and though he tried to direct his anger at someone else, it was spilling out with a vehemence that he could not control. Closing his eyes, Corin took in deep breaths as he leaned away from Laura, unwilling to let his hands fall down, for him to get on his legs as he kneeled rooted to the ground. And yet the girl still forced the blade in his direction. Corin picked it up from her hands, looking down at it as another tear dropped from his eyes onto the dark blade that lay in his eyesight. Amelia. I won't leave you. I won't. Another voice resounded in his head, much like Amelia's whenever he told her off. No, you must.
As if compelled by the second voice, Corin allowed the Hephaestus girl to pull him up and give him a small hug- but Corin flinched from her touch, a small snarl forming on his face as he backed away a step. "We need to get moving. The others are waiting for us." Looking at Laura with a dumb expression, Corin shook his head as he pointed at the ground beneath his feet. "I am staying here." He stated, an anger flaring in his eyes as he glared at the girl. "I will not leave because I failed my mission- my obligation- to keep everyone safe. As punishment I shall never leave." Immediately, Corin turned away and clambered through the destruction that was once the Hephaestus cabin, his good hand- the one he could control- shovelling itself into the scorched dirt, flinging it aside as he dug a tiny hole.
Laura wasn't surprised by Corin's hostile reaction. She was also not surprised when Corin refused to leave with her. She didn't know, however, what he was looking for, exactly. There was nothing to find. No supplies, no bodies, no belongings. All were either dragged off or destroyed by the demons that invaded Camp Half Blood. She hadn't the heart to tell him that, however. It was simply to protect him. But, if he wanted to live, they had to leave. There was someone watching, and it unnerved her. If they stayed much longer, the group would leave them behind and Corin as well as Laura would have to brave the clean up crew that would be passing through soon. "Corin. Amelia wouldn't want you to do this and you know it. Please, just come with me. We'll find those that did everyone harm and give them what they deserve. Don't you want to do your father and Amelia proud?" This was all her fault. If she had been better... When the blade vanished from sight underneath the turned up scorched earth, Corin stopped and let out a long sigh, his eyes looking up to where he knew his father was. Corin knew that Ares had blessed him during the fight- that he had been the only one to survive because Ares had, for some reason, allowed the blessing of Ares to befall on Corin. Not any one else. Just Corin. The only survivor from the Ares cabin.
Anger flared in his eyes as he stood up suddenly, turning to Laura with his lips pursed and movable hand tightened into a fist. "Let's go, then. I have a few words to say to my dearest father." He snarled out as he walked over, ignoring the tiny flow of blood that streamed out of his large stomach wound. "Are there any Hermes or Demeter children alive? I need this healed."
Laura shrugged. "Jason Brooks is alive, however. He should be able to patch that up soon. I can stop the bleeding, but I can't actually heal the wound." She was taken aback a slight bit as he raised his fist towards her, but quickly dismissed it. He was mourning. It was understandable. She faced the general direction of the group. "Follow me." She started walking slowly, making sure Corin was following her, like a mother with a small child. And he did, though his slight limp caused him to fall behind a bit. "How many are alive?" With the wreckage that surrounded them left and right, Corin could barely allow his mind to guess at how many demigods had survived. It is my fault. He thought, closing his eyes as grief swept through him, the memories that he had spent with his half-siblings speeding through his mind as he tried to catch up with Laura. "At least a half of the camp? A quarter?" Hope tinted his voice as Corin looked at Laura, hoping that at least most of the other campers had not suffered the same fate as Amelia.
Laura matched Corin's pace, grimacing at the number of campers. "There are only 8 of us...including you and I. Two Apollo children, 1 Athena, 1 Zeus, 1 Hades, us, and then one unknown. She's new. I don't know how they are holding up, really. Everyone is pretty banged up. Neither of us look too good, either." She laughed slightly- a laugh that was only answered by a hollow laugh from Corin. Disbelief filled his eyes as he trudged along, but it felt as if his legs were not his anymore. Nothing seemed real- not even the dirt that he stirred underneath his burnt and tattered sneakers. They weren't too far from the group now. They seemed to be intently discussing something, and Kim was just returning as well. She must have found supplies from somewhere. "Look who I found. Kim, this is Corin. Corin, this is Kim. The new girl I was just talking about." Laura looked at the rest of the group. They were all losing hope. Laura vowed to herself that she wouldn't let them go under. No matter what.

The Tunnels

Once the group came together, those that could walk, walked while those that couldn't were assisted. The rag tag group made their way through the rubble and bodies as they searched for any sign of where the Hermes cabin may have once been. The rubble of the cabins was so similar that it was only because of one of the nearby bodies that they could identify the camper's cabin.

The group moved into the ruins, moving the rubble where they needed to as they searched for the wooden door that led to the tunnels which led to New York City. The group, upon finding the rubble, found themselves facing a darkness of which they had never seen before. There were various insects and arachnids below in the tunnels, enough that the Athena children couldn't even use it as a place to attack their recent foe from behind.

ImageThe group descended one by one, assisting those who needed help until they all found themselves in the dark. The ground was moist and the soil under their feet was bloody from the drippings of above. Their only light source as they made their way down the tunnel was Theseus's hands.

It took hours and frequent stops. There were many twists and turns that could only be known by a seasoned child of Hermes... Or Jordan and Jason who both knew the tunnels just as well as the Stoll brothers. Occasionally, they came across wrappers, dead animals, and or weird objects such as licence plates, bent or dented weapons, and once, a daughter of Aphrodite's shoe. Occasionally, the group had to get on their hands and knees to crawl leaving the group wet sometimes because of dripping from above. At one point, the group happened upon a small pool with stalactites hanging over it. The beauty almost took away the horror that the group had just seen, as if this one area was pure of the world's newest evil.

Eventually, they emerged from a ragged looking hole in what appeared to be the stone walls of the subway at first. The walls were curved overhead with stone that appeared to be laid in place by human hands. There was a slope on either side going down until it leveled off though it couldn't be seen under the bad water laid running over it. Various rats and cockroaches skittered about as they searched for food.

Jordan & Jason

Image
Jordan and Jason led the way for the most part, both knowing it better because of their closeness with the other twins of camp. Jordan helped Jason through the smaller parts. Pulling on his good arm while Jason managed to not make any noise when his broken arm bumped something.

"You okay man?" Jordan asked and Jason just nods. "Tired..." He muttered as they continued on.

As the group continued, they came across things that Jordan and Jason both remember gathering. They smiled faintly at the old memories but didn't touch the objects. It felt like it was from a different world now after everyone died and all.

When they emerged from the tunnels, they recognized the aqueducts beneath Manhattan and both smiled to each other. "We're under the city. There's an exit this way," Jason says, pointing with his good arm towards the exit.

ImageWhen everyone had emerged into the city, nobody looked twice at the nine demigods, one being carried by another, all bloodied and sporting wounds that they had never imagined.

However, as they limped towards Jordan and Jason's home, a man was also going in that direction. He stopped upon seeing the demigods and smiled wickedly. This was that... that guy... It was the manticore that Percy Jackson had faced... And it wasn't in a good mood it appeared. Or maybe it was because it had nine easy snacks.

When it flew towards the demigods, transformed in seconds, there was a twang of a bow and the manticore made a face before it became dust as monsters usually did.

There, in the doorway of an apartment complex, stood a man who was six feet tall, black clothed, and had a shaved head. His eyes were hidden with black sunglasses though his mouth held a smile before he saw the kids. In his hand was a bow which he dropped and rushed forward towards the group. He took the daughter of Aphrodite from the kid holding her and carried her in as if she was nothing, motioning quickly for them to come in. He ushered them all into the elevator and pushed the button for the penthouse apartment.

When everyone was inside, they noticed the house wasn't a normal house. On the walls were racks and racks of weapons while the ground held a pelt that looked faintly like Hercules's nemean lion pelt. Pristine white couches were pushed against the wall and it looked like a regular rich guys penthouse apartment, except that it had weapons and what looked like a few monster spoils in various jars.

"You guys are alive, thank the gods," The man says as he ushers the group out of the sitting room and into the, if possible, more weaponized kitchen and living room. "Annabeth Chase sent out a message to all living demigods that the camp was attacked. Camp Jupiter was almost entirely destroyed too. Jason Grace made it I think, but he's now a prisoner of Kronos. Some girl, the Hades girl, she made it too, but she is also unfortunate. I thought I'd lost you two," The man says as he brings Jason and Jordan into a hug which causes both to wince.

Image"Oops, you guys are pretty banged up. I'll make some food, Jason, go eat some ambrosia then get to work on them. Eat it like I told you to. I'm Luke by the way," The guys says. Though he was extremely scary looking at first glance, he was probably one of the friendliest demigods around, if you knew him that is.

Jason motioned for them to follow with his head as he walked into yet another room that looked like an infirmary with pristine white walls. "Sit down everyone, just give me a sec," Jason managed as he sat on a bed of his own and grabbed a square of ambrosia off a plate they kept in the infirmary.

"That's our adoptive dad... He's a son of Ares," Jordan explains as he walks in a minute later with a bow in hand, examining the string.

"Hey, so he's going to go shopping tonight, to get us clothing and all, because, I mean, we need new clothes. So don't worry about that. Bathroom's upstairs second door on the right," Jordan explains as he takes a seat as well.

"Who's first?" Jason asks, not too excited though he didn't show it. They knew what he could do, he thought at least. Maybe the new girl didn't. Jordan thought about what his dad had said. Annabeth Chase was alive, Jason and Hazel were alive but held captive... What were they going to do?

Theseus said nothing as they walked through the tunnel. After the initial relief of finding other people alive and the panic in trying to evade the Titans, most of them just fell back into their own thoughts. He held up his hands and produced light with them, one of his favorite tricks. Still, though his hands crackled with power, Theseus felt helpless. Most of the people he knew and loved were dead, but he survived. It was a sobering thought.

He almost sighed in relief when they found themselves in the city and talked to an actual adult. Still, the news he gave them wasn't good. Hazel and Jason were captured and Camp Jupiter was destroyed. How had this happened? Where were their parents? He felt a familiar ache in his chest. Most kids could depend on their parents, but demigods couldn't. They could barely see them and now, their parents couldn't save them from the Titans?

"We need to do something," Theseus announced, anger and determination coloring his voice, "Kronos and the Titans want to destroy the world. We can't just let them."

"Caution, Theseus. We need rest and food and, more importantly, a plan," Cyrus noted, "The odds are astronomical."
