Introduction

Please read completely to fully understand the rp.

The planet Oba, who's time comes far slower than that of earth, was once inhabited by an un-renowned creature, who referred to themselves as Ladire. Ladire were peaceful creatures, who lived in the confines of giant trees. Over hundreds of years, they began to channel magic, though usually an item was needed to spark the energy. Most wore traditional uniforms made from the bark and leaves of extravagant trees. Their skin varied in color, and gave off a bright tone, and more often than not, Ladire had developed trates from their animal brethren, such as cat eyes, or a lion's tail. The creatures became one with the wilderness, taking in wounded animals, and creating a peaceful world. When humans traveled to Oba thousands of years ago, to escape the wretches of Earth, the Ladire welcomed them with open arms, but began to die out from diseases that the humans had carried. Having no form of medicinal treatment for the Ladire, humans took shame upon themselves, and attempted to help by mixing herbs and bandaging infected areas.

To preserve the race, shaman from across the world came together at the holy ground known as Mete. The shaman preformed a ritual, sacrificing a pregnant human woman. She was laid upon a stone table, and pierced with a sacred blade. Ancient writing, the shamans engraved on her enormous stomach. It's said that her blood began to turn blue, the same color as Ladire's blood. The woman stayed alive just long enough to hold her baby in her arms for the first, and final time. The child appeared normal, that is, aside from sharp tips on his ears, pointy canines, and a hint of light blue in his skin-tone. The child, later named Exolar, was raised by the shamans, until the day that, they too, died out like the other Ladire.

Exolar knew that his destiny was to revive the Ladire race, but after searching for 20 years, he failed to find another living Ladire. His only choice was to create a hybrid race. He fell in love with a human, whom birthed three of Exolar's children. The children went on to create more hybrids, and the process continued. Eventually, Exolar took the kingdom under his wing, as the new king of Oba.

The Ladire gene happened to be dominant, but not every child turned out to be a hybrid, but merely human. Those who did receive the gene didn't always have the same appearance as other hybrids. Some had human ears, some had beastly ears, while some had pointy elven-like ears. Some had horns, and some had tails. And occasionally, some looked almost identical to humans, in other words, the lucky ones. The hybrids because known as Ladren.

Generations later, human life and Ladren life began to separate once more. Humans built cities, and Ladren took to the wilderness. When the two races began to mix once again, some humans began to revolt against the odd creatures, spreading lies that they can't be trusted. That they steal children, and kill livestock. Most importantly, humans began to hate Ladren because of the way they were brought into the world, using the corpse of a pregnant human. Because most Ladren had an odd skin color, pointy ears and were often shorter than humans, they were easily spotted, and often discriminated against.

Life was difficult for Ladren, but no more than the day that the faithful king Exolar passed away, and the throne was taken by a vicious human, King Harak. Ladren became prisoners to the king. They were owned as slaves, and trained to savagely rip their brothers apart in entertainment for the king and his followers. Many Ladren fled to the tropics of the East, but those who were unlucky enough to stay, were separated from their families and sold as working slaves or fighters.

As for humans, they have abilities far more intense than they had on Earth. Due to the drastic change in atmosphere, humans found weapon mastery far easier, and often took it up as sport. Many humans followed the king, capturing civilian Ladren, and training them to fight at a chance to win in the king's arena. Some, however, rebelled against the king, helping many Ladren families escape onto ships and head away from the kingdom.

In this world, there are no restraints. Ladrens become slaves to work, sex, and torture. They're killed for entertainment, and owned in high-class populated areas all over the kingdom.

Professions:

Ladren:(you may choose one set of weapons, and one magic attribute)

Ranger: Often uses a bow and arrow, with a dagger off-hand, the ranger is the child of nature. They have been seen living in the wilderness, dashing up hills and flying over rivers, running as fast as a wolf in nothing but bare feet. Often, however, they stay close to markets and populated areas. The ranger also controls a friendly pet of their choice, a companion who follows them on their adventures.
Weapon choices: Bow&arrow with dagger offhand, or dual daggers.
Magic Choices: Fire, water, or animal manipulation.

Mage: The mage closely focuses on their magic abilities. Though they have less of a physical attack, their magical properties far surpass others. They can lift a ball of fire, whom any other fire-manipulator could create at the size of a football, and extend it to a large boulder before tossing it at their target. They can summon a storm of lightening, or create a whirlpool of dust and rocks.
Weapon choices: Staff, wand & focus, or spell book (spell book allows a wider variety of skills)
Magic Choices: Fire, water, earth, air, dark, light

Guardian: The guardian manipulates the earth around them to protect entire clans from human attack. This involves the manipulation of plants and animals. They've been taught by their surroundings, read to by the wind, trained by the trees, and taken as mother earth's child. Their job is to stand ground, to create a wall of vines, to summon the trees, with their long arms of branches, that can reach towards the enemy and crush them in an instant.
Weapon Choices: Staff, wand&shield
Magic Choices: plant and animal manipulation, or earth magic

Chronosin: The Chronosin can slow down and speed up time, though the ability still limits the user, it gives them time to think. Future's messengers, Chronosin can also receive pictures of what's happening in the future, just in time to change it. They use their gift to become the fastest thinkers, talented fighters, and challenging prey.
Weapon Choice : Sword, dagger, or staff.
Magic Choice: Time manipulation

Human: (Choose one set of weapons)

Warrior: The warrior fights for justice and honor. They protect those they love. Their sword is their best friend, as they can be defensive, cruel fighters. Quickly, warriors can switch weapons in the center of a battle, becoming a difficult wall to pass. They have a unique ability to command steam-powered golems to fight at their side, and can take on multiple opponents at once, bringing them to the ground with a cocky displace of malice.
Weapon choices: Sword, greatsword, pole-arm, axe, hammer, or spear

Rogue: The rogue is a thief, quick on their feet, who can get in and out of a scene un-noticed. The quickest of fighters, they follow the law of the daggers, spinning, slicing, dodging, and stabbing. With in seconds, the rogue has triumphed over their enemy, and disappeared into the night. They're thought to have no honor, and too much pride. The rogue often favors animals over people. They differ from rangers in the way that scouts aren't able to control animals, though they do often make companions with them.
Weapons choices: Bow&arrow dagger offhand, sword

Vanguard: Heavily armed and armoured soldiers charged with a simple task; the protection of the king, and mankind first and foremost. No matter what the cost. True children of the War Theatre, they upholding their duty in a variety of ways. Leading troups in battle, traversing the harsh world in search of escaped Lardren slaves, or brining the Order to the enemy in the form of annihilation.
Weapon Choices: Sword and gun, dual axes

Engineer: The master of metal, engineers use their own creations to fight. They can vary from flame-throwers, to steam-powered turrets. The engineer is a vicious fighter. Their creations are proven to work, when they destroy an enemy in fight. Artists in their own, Engineers are far more intelligent than they act, and often go without thinking. Uniquely, engineers have infinite weapon choices.
Weapon Choices: Any. (nothing OP).

Races can mix with other races classes, but you MUST have a back story to it. And remember, humans can't preform magic, and Ladren are not as talented with weaponry skills.

Note:

ATTENTION: This roleplay takes place in an early setting. Steam engineering has just been created, and is usually only used by blacksmiths.

Animals on Oba are similar to those on earth, but range in different features. Such features can consist of a giant version of the beast, or a third eye, ect ect.

Main Idea:

You are either Ladren or Human, trying to free, or stop the freeing of the Ladren race.

As Ladren: Your job is to free yourself from the reins of King Harak. To do so, you much travel across the sea to the tropics of the East.
As a Human: Your job is to either join the Ladren on their journey to the East, or try to stop them from reaching their destination.

Characteristics

-Ladren may have magical power. Create your own low-power skill, and a high-power skill. Ie. Low power skill: Throws fireball at foe. -Ladren may have SOME weaponry skills, but they are not nearly as powerful as human's physical attacks.
-Ladren's blood is a bright blue color

-Humans may not have magical powers
-Humans may NOT have animal characteristics
-Humans may have physical attacks, and weaponry skills. Choose your weapon wisely. WEAPON MUST CORRESPOND WITH PROFESSION
-Humans may own Ladren

Cherry

Drums pounding, crowds cheering, and the thick stench of freshly brewed ale, filled the air of the fire-lit collosseum. Dust settled, thick in the evening sun, consequence of the pounding boots and shuffling of thousands of bodies, eager for the event to start. Jesters danced, music played, and men guzzled down buckets of the warm brew. The air was hot, but the lighting was almost magnificent. Candles hung from rope atop the stone walls, and made for a magical display as the sun settled low behind the mountains of Legimli, and the first of two moons rose, casting faint shadows over the land.

Cherry slipped through the crowd, leaning over the balcony to see the dust-covered floor of the arena below. At each end stood a small iron gate, but not much else. This was where Ladren were brought, to fight, and kill, but mostly, to die. A man at each gate quickly began to pry the bars open, just as the sun waved it's last goodbye to the kingdom, and disappeared for the night. The fighters came out timidly, and shaken. A pathetic thing to watch, or at least gain a source of entertainment from. Aside from the rapid income for the trainers. People quickly began making bets, based on the size and strength of each fighter. For Cherry, this was something to pass the time. She didn't mind the brutality of it all, and it was a good place to pick up bounties.

However, she had been frustrated by the lack of gold coming her way, and a quick slap of the ass had Cherry on her last straw. She quickly spun around and held a knife to the stranger who had touched her precious rear. Satisfied with the terrified look on his face, she lowered the knife and slipped into the back to drink her worries away.

β€œWe march for Cirdore...'And we shall know no fear!'..”

The war-cry echoed all throughout Ophelia’s body, reverberating off each and every bone, renewing it's vigor with each droning step she took. All around her the twisted trees of Eganthill loomed, stretched arms risen towards the heavens, boney bark fingers gnarled towards each other, thick skin-like leaves nestled amongst one-another, creating a maleficent canopy that only the most stalwart rays of light dared pierce. Mighty trunks of IronWood surrounded on all sides, standing shoulder to shoulder like soldiers, providing only tiny crevasses to slip through, and swaths of ample shadow for those with fowl intend to hide, while mighty, jagged roots jutted from the ground at obscure angles, making the terrain a nightmare to traverse. The animals had long fell silent, and the ghoulish breath of chilled air howled mournfully, like a Revenant looking for her former love, drowning out the heavy footfall the Vanguard and her soldiers.

The trees had been softly declining for days now, and the company of soldiers had finally pushed themselves into seemed like a small clearing. β€œHalt...” Ophelia’s icy hiss shattered the silence she and her men had been entrenched in for days, and for sureties sake she rose her hand to formally signal the order which her troops obeyed without hesitation, falling into a line behind her.
β€œI don't like this..” A gruff and ragged voice clawed itself from the owner's throat, drenched in unease. β€œI don't like this at all, Captain..Why would we stop here? This clearing doesn't seem safe in the lea-” Before the man could finish his descending sentence, Ophelia had spun around on the heel of her thick plate boots, and backhanded him with a mighty iron gauntlet, before grabbing his throat. β€œWhat exactly are you implying solider?” Her voice was a cascade of fury. β€œThat my judgment is unsound, or that you're afraid? Tell me, which one do you want your death to be for?”Tensions had been running high for the last week, and the normally firm, but reserved Captain was far beyond her last nerve, and fully intend to kill at this stage, but before she could continue her irate barking a single, soft, metallic β€œclick” rang out from the ring of trees around them.

β€œCaptain,” The rear soldier spoke up now, but in vain due to Ophelia’s mood. β€œI can hear it, soldier.” She hissed. β€œThat means the scouts were right, they have heretics with them...Form up, now! Sound off, ascending, now!” The command and urgency in her voice was more than enough to instill raw fear into the soldiers, who took position in a circle around her, kneeling and with rifles drawn.
β€œPhrax, Aye.” β€œKalin, Aye.” β€œFerras, Aye.” β€œJarris, aye.”
The soldier's droning barely registered with their Captain as her steely green eyes darted between each and every tree, noting the gun barrels behind most, and adrenaline-floodgates opening with each. Her raised hand slowly clenched into a white-knuckled fist. β€œHold steady, men. Fire on my mark..” Time itself seemed to pause for the warriors, every moment they took, precise, every muscle twitch, calculated, and every finger rested heavily on a trigger.

β€œFor Harak's honour, ATTACK!”

The forest erupted with the sound of MarkVIII rifles, trees groaned and splintered as high caliber rounds tore their bark like flesh apart, while screams and heavy thuds swelled amidst the cascade of bullets., and Ophelia’s howling voice rose above the chaos. β€œLet these degenerates know who comes to claim their lives today!” β€œFOR THE GLOURY OF THE HONOUR GUARD!”
Each man stood fast as bullets sailed past them by fractions of inches, each man pressed the assault when bullets dared hit them, and each man roared in a bloody fever when their bullets bit flesh, but it was quickly realized that the were making no true headway. Frustration as wave after way of heretic shattered on the Honour Guard's defense finally broke loose. β€œForm tighter, men! Supportive fire only, rain Harak's fury upon them!” The Captain's hoarse shout was issued as the formidable woman broke into a full sprint, right into a river of bullets.

Blinding fury consumed her without remorse. Judgment and self awareness were lost in the frantic fury of her deafening heartbeat, and the thundering of her grieves. The human and Ladren forces had no clue as to what hit them. Ophelia had managed a fifty yard dash in full plate in record time, and leaped with all her might, crashing down on a Human gunner, crushing his ribs with a sickening crash. Like a savage she whirled around to her next victim, grabbing him by the throat with such extreme force not only did his neck break, but when she flung his corpse it's head tore clean off. Grabbing the axe that rested on her left hip, and issuing a roar of raw blood-lust as she wildly launched herself at the gawking Ladren. Harsh steel bite through iron, steel, boiled leather, flesh, and bone, as horrific cracks and scream flooded from the treeline as a virtual river of blood began to flow.

The four Warriors, still in the clearing, long out of ammo at this stage merely stood, and waited for their Captain, or the Ladren to show themselves. Seconds turned to minutes, and minutes ticked on, and on, and on, until a soldier finally spoke up. β€œDo you think she got herself killed..?” The highest ranked of them opened his mouth to answer, but a completely naked, and blood-soaked woman beat him to it. β€œAnd what kind of idiotic question is that?” Shock and awe hit the men, who stuttered and bulked for words. β€œCaptain..Wh...What happened? Where are they? Are we..Safe?” In response, a devilish grin fell upon the blooded captain. β€œAny warriors they had are dead, check corpses, collect ammo, and arms, find my armour in there somewhere, then burn it. All of it. Start a fire, and let it eat away at this good forsaken pit of a forest. Someone'll put it out eventually..And call for a goddamn evac..I've got some bullet wounds just dying to meet a doctor..”

Torin Criss
Torin was beginning to worry. He and his small team had been searching for several hours for a rather large force of Human guerilla fighters dubbed by the Crown as "Heretics". The fighters were part of a large network of human's aiding the Ladren, and he was suppose to meet them in this area to take the freed Ladren slaves to the shore line, about two weeks away on foot, and from there the Ladren would take a boat supplied by the network to the Tropics. But the freed slaves and their escorts were late, and it was beginning to grind on Torin's nerves
"Sir! Come quick!".
Torin looked up from his map as the young but uncanny scout, Frederick came sprinting towards the vanguard and his small group of fighters.
Torin stood up resting his hand on his battle-hammer.
"What is it, Frederick?", the Vanguard asked in his baritone voice as he looked down at his scout.
"T-the Ladren and their escort, I've found them", the young man sputtered out, his eyes wide.
Torin raised an eyebrow, waiting for Frederick to go on.
Frederick continued to stutter, his mind going faster than his mouth could keep up.
"D-dead!", he finally spat out.
The eight men around the pair immediately looked to their leader.
"Show me", he responded, his voice dropped another octave.
Frederick spun and took off at a sprint, Torin and the other eight warriors on his heels. Within a few minutes, Torin began to smell smoke, and moments after that, charred wood and..something worse.
When he saw the burned clearing, Torin began to hear his pulse in his ears and quickened his pace, outrunning the soldiers and even the scout.
As soon as his feet hit the ashy ground, he whipped the battle-hammer out of its sling, preparing to meet any enemies that were still around, but all he and his elite group found were bodies, about half of them were charred, the source of the terrible smell from earlier.
He let his gaze roam around the carnage, both humans and Ladren covered the ground, some with bullet wounds, others had been butchered by sharp and blunt weapons.
"What happened?". Someone from the group behind Torin asked.
"What do you think happened, idiot?", someone else said bitterly.
"It's a massacre", said yet another voice.
"You think they took any prisoners?".
"No". Torin stated, causing all the banter to silence."If this is the doing of who I think it is, we won't have to worry about any survivors giving away our names". Torin had a good idea of who did this, only one person would leave this much carnage...especially when the Ladren were involved.
"Whys that?", Frederick asked quietly.
"Because there won't be any",Torin muttered, tapping a clump of ash with his boot.
After a few moments of silence, Torin cleared his throat.
"Gather the bodies, we will not leave them to be ravaged by animals". He said "We'll make a mass funeral pyre".
"What if we find the attackers?", asked Frederick
Torin stopped walking.
"Show no mercy, for they deserve none", he said coldy.

Jaedon

Jaedon's eyes were locked onto a flickering flame as it attempted to illuminate the Colosseum. Candles were hung and the two moons made the place light up, casting shadows he couldn't help but admire. A shadow. That's what Jaedon was considered. A shadow slipping in and out of places, going unnoticed unless you were really looking for him. The thought made him smirk from his perch on the balcony. Shadows belonged to someone or something. Jaedon answered to no one. And that's how he liked it, honestly. He took a sip of his drink and looked around. He was never really the kind of person to drink a lot without reason. Maybe if he had completed a huge job or someone else was buying the drink for him. But considering what he did for a living, it helped to have your senses on full alert and you're body ready to fight, or flee, if it came down to that. Jaedon watched the men around him laughing and chugging their ale, making bets on Ladren.

Scared. Shaken. They were like rodents thrown into a bright light. He never understood how creatures so shaken could fight, especially each other. But it wasn't of any benefit to him to understand why things worked the way they did. The system worked quite well for him, actually. Jaedon was more a thief than anything, but he could also track down a few Ladren on the side. Those seemed to be the highest paying jobs anyway. And the people at these fights couldn't get enough of the tiny beings. So he was happy to rat a few of them out, collecting them personally if it was needed. Jaedon, not interested in waiting for the fight to start below, was lost in his thoughts, zoning out, when someone bumped into him. He quickly reached out with one hand to steady himself, while the other made sure not to waste his drink. His teeth clenched together and he turned around, only to see everyone behind him walking around. Bumping into people was normal. The Colosseum was a popular place, after all. No need to get worked up. Jaedon ran a hand through his red hair and took a long drink. Something more interesting caught his eye.

He didn't quite catch what the man did to upset the girl, but it must have been offensive for her to pull a knife on him so fast. He raised an eyebrow when the man's face twisted into one of terror. The man backed off while the girl slipped away. Jaedon tilted his head. He normally didn't go out of his way to talk just for the sake of it, but she seemed like something that would be fun to mess with. It was far more entertaining than what was going on below him. The fights hadn't even started yet, and if no one was dying, no one was looking for more Ladren to replace them. Meaning Jaedon could leave his spot and wander around for a bit. Just a little while. After all, business hadn't completely stopped, it was just stalled for the time being.

Jaedon slid off the balcony and sat his drink down. More than likely someone would swing by and take it away, but he was fine with that. He made his way through the crowd, looking around for the black haired girl. Then he found her. Probably about to drink herself stupid, no doubt. He stiffled a laugh as he got closer to her, taking a mental note of where his daggers were hidden in his clothes. "Damn, girl. Why so serious?" he grinned, poking fun at her almost stabbing the man. Was that really necessary? Probably. But if you couldn't take a joke, you really didn't need to be around all these men, now did you?

Cherry

Cherry's long hair stretched down her back, almost touching the wooden bar stool that she sat on. Hey eyes scanned the wall of bounties, her ears muffled from the loud cheering all around her. She took a drink from her mug, scanning, scanning. Numbers, age, weight, numbers, age, weight. The key was to find the weakest, youngest Ladren with the least fight and the highest bounty, but today's market faced a humble quantity. Biting her iron ring between her teeth, Cherry set the sweet liquid down, and pointed to the best deal she could see. "24." She ordered to the brewery man behind the table. The husky man quickly snapped the paper from the wall behind him, and brought it down with a thump on the table in front of Cherry. She quickly folded the bounty and slipped it into her satchel.

Taking another drink from her mug, she crossed her long legs under the bar table. The sound of clinging metal, and an uproarious crowd, gave way that the fight had begun.

"Damn, girl. Why so serious?" The voice came from her side. She slowly took another drink from her mug, and set the almost-empty cup down. She turned, legs still crossed in an elegant, yet intimidating manner. The bartender quickly replaced her mug with a full one, as she eyed the thin man from head to toe. He seemed bland. Like every other wanna-be rebel in the kingdom. However, she was intrigued by the scar above his eye. She had seen the scar before. Maybe she had passed by the boy before, or met him long ago. His existence, how ever, was none of her business. If it wasn't for the scar, she probably would have gotten up, and walked away to find her bounty. Instead, she leaned forward with her mug in her lap, curious of the boy's intent.

"It's pathetic, isn't it?" She brought the mug to her lips and sipped the sweet alcoholic beverage once again. The taste lightened her mood, and extracted more curiosity.

"They find it so entertaining. Watching things die. If they, themselves had killed, they'd realize it's quite a redundant source of enjoyment." She smirked wryly, continuing before the boy could reply. "But not you, oh you've killed before." She wasn't quite drunk, but her words carried on in an unnecessarily stretched and melancholy manner, almost slurred, but not quite.

"So what is it you want, kid?"

Rina

"Come now, Eeko, we haven't time to waste." She gripped the glowing green tree-like branches protruding out of the beast's head, and struggled to hold on, as the elk-looking steed pranced through the night air.

The beast's appearance was a mixture of a horse, elk, and wolf, with plant-like features, and a glowing green aura. Ranook spirits, as they were known. There were very few in existence, in fact only one for each element could live at a time. Eeko just so happened to be the earth Ranook. Like all Ranooks, he never quite touched the ground, and instead, hovered on a platform of air, 3 inches above the surface. Ranooks were guardians in themselves, with the abilities to walk on water, and bring back the death of their element. Rina had only seen this once, when Eeko had mourned the loss of a forest, do to human logging. He had acted odd at the time, nudging Rina towards the woods every chance he got. When she allowed him to go, he had taken her to a flat area, where trees had been cut down, and the forest floor had been crushed by human machines. He nudged the dead plants with his nose, and they came to life once more, lighting up the forest with an enchanting display of colors.

Not all Ranooks have the same appearance, however. From stories and descriptions, the Fire Ranook has the appearance of a flaming steed, with a main of fire, and hoofs that burn the grass below them. The Water Ranook guards the waves of the ocean, and is discribed as a giant wolf, with white eyes, and a pale blue-grey color for fur, with a tail that tapers off into tears of water. Lastly, the air Ranook, which takes the form of a golden bear, with decorative charms hanging from his back.

Only Rina knows that the Ranook have two forms. Their real forms are much.. cuter than anyone would expect. Though she can't be sure what the other Ranooks look like in their original form, Eeko had trusted her enough to show her his, many times. After all, walking into a market while riding a giant animal god would catch quite a bit of attention.

As Eeko neared a light in the distance, Rina pulled back on his horn-like branches, alerting him to stop. "We'll run from here. It's lively tonight." She climbed off of the spirit's back and gave him the okay to transform. A quick flash came from the beast, and he was enveloped in a big ball of leaf like structures, which slowly got smaller and closer to the ground, until suddenly disappearing, leaving a small forest cat in it's wake. Forest cats were similar to the cats on earth, aside from the color and patterns on their fur, which result in a tribal style. This one was a timid green color, with black tribal stripes lining it's face.

"Come, now, Eeko." The cat quickly jumped into Rina's arms, and the two headed in the direction of the lights.

The came to a large stone road, where on the side, stands were set up to sell items and assistance. Candles flickered in the wind, while children ran hand in hand, and a fountain in the middle sprayed water from the center of a ceramic flower.

"Wow, these are lovely." Rina had spotted what she had came for. Striped mushrooms from the mountains of Legimli. "I'll take a dozen!" She smiled joyfully, dropping a handful of gold coins onto the stand.

As usual, Rina was in disguise, her hair pinned up to hide her bulky horns. That meant that she had to get out quickly before the guards became suspicious. She already had a bounty on her head, for a foolish mistake of a drunken night at the pub. Luckily for her, however, the picture was a tad bit off on the bounty, plus she had Eeko to fight by her side.

David

Despite the fact the the Colosseum was one of the many places he would want to see one day burning, it was still a place of opportunity, where you could walk out with a well paid job almost every time, and where the drunk would reveal their deepest secrets so he walked right in and headed for the upper levels. The cheers of the crowd enjoying the show made David express his disgust and started kicking around random people, causing unrest. When a pool of dropped ale reached his feet, David knew that the little incident caused some trouble and continued walking towards the stairs while letting a small stream of joyous laughing escape his mouth. Near the stairs he noticed probably the only place left empty in the whole Colosseum, and his curiosity forced him to take a look over the balcony.

It wasn't anything different from what he had seen before. Only savage beasts fighting for the entertainment of some miserable humans that should deserve no pity when killed by Ladren. A bearded man approached David and offered him a mug of ale, which was refused. The stranger sounded really surprised after the refusal and insisted as refusing ale from a fellow human was considered by many an insult.
"Back off! Go ahead. Say it.", shouted David while swiftly placing his dagger at the man's throat.
"What's the problem?"
"You keep offering me that mug. And I know what kind of people do that. The sword you hid under the cape and the vials hanging from your belt don't make you look like a friendly commoner, offering drinks to random people. I've done that before. And I know what happens after I drink it. Get lost or you'll taste the blade."
"Fine! I'll just go away if you keep having that attitude."
An insult slipped through David's lips, but luckily, the man didn't hear it, or at least ignored it and kept going. The people around him were confused and wondered what just happened, but after receiving a mean look from one of the protagonists, they returned to their previous doings and acted like nothing happened.

David climbed up the stairs and finally reached the upper levels, where most of the action outside the arena happens. A tiny, ugly man approached him and offered him a chance to bet, even if the fight was almost over.
"I'm more interested in keeping one rather than betting on one."replied David to the little man's continuous attempts to strike a deal.
"Oh! I see! A slave! You must have...money. Loads of it. Is that right?" After hearing the word slave coming out of the little weakling's mouth, a wild feel of repulsion rushed through his veins, but the purpose of the deal made him keep his calm.
"Yes..that's right."
"Well you seem like a nice one indeed. Meet me at night in front of the Colosseum. We'll discuss further details there. Just bring your coin."
'Well this one was easy.' thought David after managing just like that to make a slaver listen to his offers. Usually they don't let their precious slaves go away even for a price, as their performance in battle can provide them much more profit. This one seemed rather desperate.

The job board was still on the other side of the crowd, so David rushed towards it, kicking his way through the crowd.

Jaedon

Jaedon pulled up a bar stool and sat down, turning in the seat so that his back was against the bar. He could hear the bartender set a drink down behind him, and absentmindedly reached back to get it. He wasn't really interested in the ale, but there's no use in completely wasting it. As he took a drink he examined the thin girl sitting before him. Leg's crossed, she seemed like she had some home training, but you could never be sure. He'd already seen her pull a knife on a guy. Probably some poor girl who want's to be bad. Then he noticed the piece of iron stuck in her mouth. If they weren't one of those well off, fancy women, most of the girls he saw with jewelry in any place other than their ears were selling themselves on the street. Did that make her a whore? It was rather unappealing, that thing in her face. Jaedon decided to stop trying to figure out the motive behind the ring and looked around.

"It's pathetic, isn't it?" Shit, what? Jaedon listened to her go on about killing, and quite honestly, he wasn't expecting that. He actually thought the chick would say something angry and get all riled up. He could use the entertainment. Jaedon hardly ever came to the Colosseum to watch the Ladren beat each other, but when he did catch a glimpse, it wasn't exactly boring. Jaedon leaned back and took a sip of his drink, looking at the men who came to bet and get drunk. They probably didn't think it was boring. Though, money was probably more of a motivating factor. Either way, they were irrelevant. Just another way for Jaedon to get some extra money.

It's funny how he wasn't interested in an intense conversation and now he was thinking over why people came to watch the Ladren kill each other. "Don't act so noble," he rolled his eyes. His characteristic grin came back as he cleared his mind of his mental assessment. "I'm sure you've killed something and didn't loose a minute of sleep over it. Watching is no different." The girl couldn't have been over twenty, but age didn't mean much in this day and time. He shrugged off her argument.

Jaedon finished his drink and sat the mug down only to find another, full and inviting, waiting for him. Not today. Jaedon let the drink sit there while he popped his knuckles and thought over her last question. What did he want? Nothing really. Was there something wrong with just coming up and talking to someone? The girl needed to loosen up. Or maybe that's what the ale was for. "There's nothing I want from you now, after all, you're helping me kill some time."

Ophelia arrived in Cirdore boarders, half draped over a horse in the dead of night, naked, blood spattered, smelling like burnt flesh, and bleeding profusely from bullet wounds as was her custom, she was immediately rushed to a doctor in service to her family, much as the rest of her custom dictated. After having three bullet wounds, two stab wounds, and a hearty lecture from an old woman she was given an hour to gather whatever belongings she felt like carrying, and was told to be outside and sober to greet a waiting carriage. Typical of her father, get a little too bloodied and suddenly the king himself requests you take some time for R&R in the middle of nowhere, and this time nowhere meant Adas. Grabbing attire she felt was casual for a noble, and a spare pistol she'd given in to the silly demand, begrudgingly though, and under some heavy sedatives she'd climbed into the carriage and promptly fallen asleep. The driver was very kind to wake her before kicking her out once they arrived in a little market place.

From there, she'd staggered into a near by tavern, gotten piss drunk, started a brawl with every man there, and ended up leaving them all picking teeth from the floor at the cost of a busted lip, torn stitches on all her wounds, a collection of new bruises, and a hefty tab. As per usual, she'd blown all her money on drink and passed out in the market square as if it were common place for a lady to do, and between the smell, clobbered men from last night, and the big pistols slung on her hips, the villagers had been more than happy to leave her there in a pool of her own blood.

Cherry

The gory sound of ripping skin filled the arena, followed by the laughter and cheering of men, and the cussing of others. At that moment, a Ladren had died, and all she was doing was helping a stranger "kill time". Cherry saw the boy as no harm. If she had felt insulted, or offended, her ego would have taken control long ago. She slipped a different bounty from her bag and unfolded it, flat on the table. The picture was of a Ladren, a female. A flower sat in her long, curly hair, and her ear was pierced at the tip, like most female Ladren's were. Her teeth pointed just at the canines, giving off a playful smirk. Under the picture, in ink, it stated that she was 13 years old, with a weak build, and a high bounty.

"Beautiful, isn't she?" Cherry spoke, assuming that the man had taken a glance at the paper. The bounty was the biggest Cherry had ever seen, but she had given up looking for the girl long ago. Reaching into her bag, she grasped a handful of coins, and dropped a thicker one onto the wooden table, next to her drink.

Without another word, Cherry stood. "Perhaps someone else can kill your time." She seemed mature. Cool and collected. Of course she did. It was her front. In reality, she wasn't sure what to think. Was he trying to get under her skin, or simply start a conversation?

Her cool was quickly interrupted, when she was shoved into the bar by a group of rowdy men. Her previously damaged ribs hit the edge of the wood, sending her spiraling into a fit of anger and frustration.

"Screw off!" She screamed at the top of her lungs. Once the area around her was quiet, and she had gotten the attention of the man who had shoved her, she approached him.

"I should kill you for that!" Her face was red with embarrassment and rage, but the man simply chuckled to his drunken self, and turned back to his friends.

"Hey!" She growled, snatching the large man by the shoulder and spinning him to face her, before quickly, and furiously, lodging her knee into his crotch. The man fell over and crumpled to the ground. The group of men around him stared directly at Cherry, who quickly leaped onto the bar table, snatching up her bounty, and glancing back at Jaedon as she disappeared into the crowd.

It had been a mistake to come on such an awful day in the first place. Now, was time for Cherry to find a place to cool her branded ego, and attempt to forget all about making an ass of herself, as she did every day.

Voices roared like violent ocean waves from the massive crowds that sprawled out in a full three-sixty from the Arena's mighty stands. Shout after shout for the next fight, cheers, drunken revelry, unbridled human blood lust split over the steel railings and onto the sand of the Pitt, while excitement and euphoria danced through the air, baked in the bitter-sweet stench of ale. For some reason, the crowds were bigger today, and almost every named fighters had been pulled in to please the masses, along with the most exotic or deadly adversaries the Pitt Masters could find. Tension was reaching stellar peaks as the ever-so-cocky announcer finally gripped his mic between his pudgy little fingers, and gathered the Arena's undivided attention.

β€œLadies and gentlemen, and the rest of you savage little gits..Our next fighters have been secured, and let me assure you, it's a helluva match up!” A unanimous cheer resounded from the mass of people, reverberating off of every surface, and rocking every soul caught in it's typhoon. β€œFor your pleasure today, my lovelies, I bring you Rorick The Bloodedge, our resident wild-man, and berserk destroyer of lives!” More cheers resounded as the famed Ladren warrior stepped onto the hot sands of the Pitt. Tall, muscular, green haired, and swathed in scars, the furious Reaver thrust his axe skywards, a bid for more cheers that was quickly fulfilled. β€œAnd to face him..?” The announcer couldn't help but chuckle, as the young, purple haired girl stepped forth on the field, bouncing on the heels of her feet, and grinning ear to ear. β€œOur very own vixen from Cirdore, Nyxos! The mad-mage. Give it up for her brave suicide, folks!” Leers and jeers descended from the crowds, but did nothing to detour the girl's happy smile, as she waved up at them, ignoring her formidable opponent. β€œLet the slaughter....Begin!”

Chuckling to herself, Nyxos waved at the Ladren man, who raised an eyebrow while spitting in her direction. β€œYou're dead you little bitch, 'ere me? I'll gut you!” When all she did was shrug, the furious man launched himself at her in a warriors-frenzy. Underestimating his prey, he swung his axe in a slow, but powerful crescent, hoping to cleave her in half, but the cheery little girl merely twirled out of the way. β€œThat it, Mr.Warrior?” She teased, goading him into another fierce, but clumsy attack. The crowd roared with anger as he missed again, hungry for action. β€œAwh..Mr.Rodrick..They aren't happy with your show...I guess this means it's my turn..”

Twisting as she dodged another harsh blow, the little girl put her full momentum behind a kick aimed at his lungs, which impacted with both a heavy thud, and gasp from the crowd as Rodrick fell to the ground. The true power behind the kick was her magic, the second the man gasped she'd began pumping in waves of air she'd stored up from his poorly thought out assaults. He writhed on the sand, clutching his stomach while pained, and desperately sickening sounds escaped his throat, and sent a shiver of pleasure down Nyxos' back. β€œCome on now, Mr.Warrior, shows not over yet..” She cooed, while grabbing his arms and forcing him up on his feet. The crowd watched in silence as the disturbing events unfolded. The girl turned around and leaned in, gently kissing the man on his cheek, and the second her lips made contact with his skin, he exploded with a gory β€œpop” sound, leaving just the blood drenched girl standing under a slick rain of blood and fragmented body parts.

Brushing a bit of spleen from her hair, Nyxos curtsied, and blew a kiss at the now uproariously cheering crowd.

β€œWho's up next, to challenge our little maiden now, hm?”

Re: [OOC] The Law of Ladire

Between the mechanics of machine guns, and even a glance at Jasper's frame, I'm going to have to disagree. Normally, machine guns fire mid-caliber bullets at a chick rate, quicker rate normally means lower powered, so any with sufficient armour wouldn't be to concerned. Now, put in high caliber bullets AND a quick fire speed, I can't see a little girl maintaining it without serious arm, or serious inaccuracy, unless mounted. And then again, we have to look at the fact that technology isn't at our modern standards. Oh, and that other people have guns too.

I have no intention of trying to godmode or overpower people with Ophie just 'cause she's a bloody vanguard. I fully intend for her to get killed. XD But not by some little 18 year old strumpet swinging around guns bigger than her like a B-rate anime.

Re: [OOC] The Law of Ladire

QueLights wrote:Alright, alright. Keep it in character, guys. No one's more over powering than someone else. It all depends on what you do and how you do it, so stop being cocky sonsuhbitches, and post. xD

Re: [OOC] The Law of Ladire

Haze, Jasper has been firing heavy recoil guns since she was a kid. She's broken her arms a few times, but she won't really anymore. She has more that enough strength to fire her guns. And CuCu, don't underestimate Jasper. She has both the power and the means you kick your little ass.

Edit: Que, I can't and won't post until I get my slave.

Edit#2: Also, Cucu, Jasper has no rusty weapons. All of them are shiny, clean, and good to shoot at you.

Re: [OOC] The Law of Ladire

Alright, alright. Keep it in character, guys. No one's more over powering than someone else. It all depends on what you do and how you do it, so stop being cocky sonsuhbitches, and post. xD

Re: [OOC] The Law of Ladire

Mess with her all you want. xD She' not a bawlz out murderer out side the open conflict/warzones. More of a bar brawler, really.

Re: [OOC] The Law of Ladire

Ophie seems kinda badass so I wouldn't mess around her too much.
But Jasper? Bah! Death machines? What about a well placed shot right in their rusty a**es. They would clog immediately and fail miserably. Technology isn't that advanced so I suppose they don't have the agility necessary to follow a target that might stick their steel sword right in their vital spot(or right in Jesper's defenseless head if they have the opportunity :) ).

Re: [OOC] The Law of Ladire

You know what I'll find fun? The first time the little girl that is Jasper fires a high powered machine gun for more than a second. Hello, recoil, you just broke your arms!

Re: [OOC] The Law of Ladire

When you're based on shit like this..

You slaughter whatever you want, with whatever attitude you want.
Several of the high attitude characters(Like Ophie, and Jasper) have, in my view, earned their attitude(Through warfare, and building death machines respectively.).

Re: [OOC] The Law of Ladire

Wait til you see Rina xD she's a sweetie.
