Introduction

In the lion king 2 Kiara and Kovu fell in love after he was trained to kill Simba and all that but now after having a cub Kovu starts to change back into what he was before, a monster, outsider.

I jumped off pride rock bouncing down off each rock until I reached the bottom. I smiled walking of carrying my cub in my mouth waiting for Kovu to catch up I stopped. Looking around at the pride and all the other animals I smiled yawning slowly. Doing that as well as keeping a firm grip on the cub was difficult so I stood still trying to resit the temptation to run around and play. I may be a full grown lioness but I was still a bit hyper.

"Mommy, let go of me I can walk on my own you know" Mina said with a low growl....she truly hated when her mother always carried her "Let me go, let me go, let me go" Mina continued and she started to thrash around, in hopes her mother would just let go of her, at any point in time "Daddy" Mina shouted, hoping her father could help her out.

"Teran, for the last time, no leaving the pridelands without an escort! Now, go be like a normal cub and find someone to play with." Vitani said, dropping Teran on the ground.
Teran brushed himself off and smirked at his mother. "Of course, mother." he said, walking back towards Pride Rock.
He noted there was some sort of activity atop the rock, and, being the curious cub he was, went to investigate. Laughing at what he saw, he watched as Princess Mina was being carried around by Kiara. Vitani had stopped doing that a long time a go, only picking him up when she forced him to go places against his will. Like returning from an escape to the Outlands. He sat down towards the end of the rock and watched.
"What's wrong Mina, does being a princess mean you are too good for walking?" Teran laughed, forgeting all hopes that he could have a fight with her. If her mother dosn't let her walk, why would she let her fight?

"Shut up Teran" Mina said with a low growl "My mom just enjoys, thinking I'm a small baby" Mina finished with a low growl as she came up with an idea "Mommy, can I please play with Teran" Mina asked in her most innocent little voice "I promise I won't run off, and I won't get to dirty, and I won't hurt Teran to much, pretty please, with a dead zebra on top" Mina begged with a soft whimper, to add special effects to her plea.

After taking a few hours of streatching his big body, Kovu finally came out shaking his body. He smiled at his mate and nuzzled her head for a bit before looking over at his little cub. This was one of the rare times that Kovu wanted to protect his little one. But then again he also wanted to protect his own nephew. "You two brats better not run off to the elephant graveyard, you hear?!" He said calling out at the two as they ran off to play. He sighed resting his bum on the stone ground. "You know those two were like us." He said smirking at Kiara. He turned to Vitani and grinned. "You're son on the other hand is nothing like you, a boring and strict lioness." He chuckled teasing her.

Soon enough, he was on the border of the outlands and the pridelands, like so many cubs before him. Though he would be the first to succeed in not being caught.

Kovu growled a little noticing that the two were reaching the outside lands. His claws dug into the dirt angrily as he recoiled his body back. He counted quietly to him self trying to calm himself down. "One....two...three...four...." He closed his eyes and took deeper breaths. "...five...six..." He sighed finally relaxing a little and hiding back into the grass. He couldn't help but chuckle alittle watching the two play. He couldn't help but remeber him and his mate. But his short calm moment was broken hearing Teran ask if Mina was "in or out." He couldn't handle the anger when his cub said she was going to leave the pride lands. He raced towards them letting out a powerful roar. "Mina! Teran!" He yelled jumping in front of them. "How many times do I have to tell you not to leave the pride lands! it's dangerous!" He said his anger causing the animals around them to run and hide.

Teran stepped back a few paces when Kovu jumped out. Of course he was a little nervous, Kovu did appear out of no where after all. But he was almost expecting someone to stop them, whether he liked it or not. "We wern't going to play in the outlands...uhhh...I was just asking Mina if she wanted to fight...we just happened to get close to the border when we were playing tag..." Teran said, trying to sound confident, and putting a smile in for extra effect. Of course a Lion's roar in your race can shake your confidence a little. Teran tried to think of what Kovu could of heard, he didn't think he said anything specifically about going to the Outlands...
