Meanwhile, two Guardians made their way to the Elven Realm, in search of him so they could protect ensure his safety. One of them was David Gideon's distant cousin, Benjamin Legard, merely age 20. This was his first assignment, one which he volunteered for.
"Alright, Myra. It may be beh..." Benjamin would always stutter or struggled with words whenever he spoke. It was just how he was with speech. "It may be best if we set up camp, here. We're next to a river, so water won't be a problem." He knew the Guardian he was working with was much older than him, yet he saw her as a peer, considering she appeared to be in his age group.
The war had ended generations ago but the elven part of her had kept her strong. She was thankful for the mix of her parents as she traveled to her mother's home; racism wasn't too big of an ordeal these days, but being of both worlds certainly helped. Glancing over to Benjamin she felt her heart squeeze with sympathy. Even he seemed worn out from the strenuous debates. Age wasn't something Myra doted on, but not even Benjamin could escape the fatigue of their duties.
Nodding her head in agreement, Myra stretched her arms into the air and started unpacking various items needs for the stay. "I'll go fetch some water for us then." She retrieved the large buckskin carrier and started on the path to the river, feeling her knife attached to her side.
"Seventy-seven miles? What a precise number Benjamin." Smiling to show her lightheartedness, Myra never planned on making the trip a terribly serious one, and thought he should have known that by now.

As if on queue, one of the elves arrived so quickly, Benjamin reacted by leaping into the air while rapidly backflipping. Once he landed, his eyes came into contact with those of a lion, which made him react with three backflips away from the creature. He finally could see where one of the elven DNA strands came from. Standing upright, the Guardian recruit cleared his throat. "Sorry. I was a little... startled there for a bit."
"Joseph Isaiah to to Benjamin Legard." the call came from the communications radio on Benjamin's helmet. "Private Legard, do you copy?"
Benjamin sighed before piking up his helmet from his backpack. "Hold on..." Putting the helmet on, he pulled the mic close enough to his mouth to speak through it. "Loud and clear, Arch-Nephilim Isaiah."
"We've been receiving numerous reports from the Nephilim Blades of Rage Nephilim Remnant activity all across Earth. One of the Remnant's veterans from the Nephilim Civil War has recently disappeared, but I doubt he is dead. This Remnant Rage Nephilim in particular was personally trained by Calcifer to be an assassin. It is common knowledge that any Rage Nephilim who received combat instructions from him are not a force to be underestimated. The one in question, Antony Pyro, could be following you, right now. Keep your eyes open for him."
The recruit nodded. "Affirmitive. Over and out." Removing his helmet from his head, he said to the female elf. "Unfortunately, that comes with being one of the Modern Nephilim Guardians: trouble finds you wherever you go." He was inwardly surprised that he was not stuttering. "Well, as you just found out, I'm Benjamin Legard. The Nephilim who came here with me is Myra Faye. Anyway..." Taking a step closing, he posed a query: "You wouldn't happen to know David Gideon, would you? Tanned skin, brown eyes, two scars on his face, brown wings that he makes appear when he needs to fly, sound familiar?"

Glancing over to Lady Ae, Myra sympathetically smiled and stepped closer to her. Bowing her head low again, she started to feel for the young girl. "I apologize for Benjamin, his skills are lacking in the emotional department." Myra kept her voice quiet and calm, hoping to soothe Ae.

Benjamin looked back at the male elf. "Yeah, it may have been something I said that upset her."

(Sorry so short >_<)
Benjamin was curious as to what she meant. "What is the Surge?"

(My bad)
He did not listen to what Myra said. Benjamin just kept looking in the direction Ae'Naria went. Unless... the Surge is an indicator of who an elve would spend the rest of their life with. At this point, he was angry at himself. walking up to the nearest tree, he let out a roar of rage as he punched it hard enough that it fell sideways. Thankfully, nobody was hurt.
"Why didn't I realize it, earlier? How could I have been so stupid?" Whenever Benjamin got angry to the point of rage or insanity, he would revert to his Leviathan Form, where his skin hardens and subtle fire comes out of his mouth with every breath. "All I seem to do is make a mess of things!" He scoffed. "Some Guardian I am!" He kept at his rants, some of them in French, for a moment before taking a deep breath to calm down. "Sorry. I had to get that off my chest." This is quite a predicament. How am I going to clean up this mess I've made?

Benjamin nodded, not at all intimidated by the High Elf Lord's display. "I'll keep that warning about destroying trees in mind. Anyway, You know of David Gideon? Well, I volunteered for the task of protecting him. Myra was chosen for the task, as well. We were instructed to find him and be on the watch for a Remnant Rage Nephilim called Antony Pyro. The Remnant wants David dead because of the Guardians' victory in the Nephilim Civil War. As for the reason David is here, I don't know. Arch-Nephilim Isaiah won't say." Scratching his neck, he added, "You never told us your name."
Benjamin figured he had to make this conversation quick. Antony could be anywhere, and he wanted to find Ae'Naria and clean up the mess he made involving the Surge. Am I really meant to be with her?
