Song Ji-Hun

"Of course everyone wants to live here, what's not great about our kingdom?"

0 · 310 views · located in The Capital city,Nevea

a character in “The Masquerade Mystery”, as played by Chappyfan

Description

Appearance:Image

Nickname: 'Avren' [pronounced Ah-ver-en] what he prefers to be called outside of Selestia due to his real name being pronounced incorrectly to many times.

Age:15
Gender: Male
Role: Prince of Selestia
What Kingdom?: Selestia

What your mask looks like:Image
-------------------------
Personality: JiHun, for the most part, is a very serious boy. He has a hard time talking to others that he doesn't have anything in common with, and keeps to himself. He doesn't like confrontation, so he'll agree with others (within reason) to avoid a fight. He is very strong-willed, and it takes him while to open up. He is a bit two-faced, and very indecisive about the simplest of matters. He can also get embarrassed quite easily, but deep down he loves to be complimented. JiHun acts like a spoiled brat sometimes, and requesting things from others without considering their opinion. Sometimes the prince has to be coaxed about talking about his kingdom, and keeps his feelings bottled up. This doesn't mean he doesn't have a temper, when there's to much for him to take he can be very ruthless. On bad days he seals himself away and doens't speak to anyone, but these outbursts don't last for long as he can forgive very easily. But he never forgets who wrongs him.

Likes: Fish, technology, writing, exploring, star-fruit, rain

Dislikes: Loud noises, rude people, snow, bitter food,

Fears: Being left alone, fire
Dreams: To be able to travel without the burden of a kingdom, and to help each kingdom to live in prosperity.

Weakness: He is very protective of little kids, and can be very forgetful. His greatest weakness; though, is he is -very- indecisive at times and this can anger a lot of people around him.
---------------------------

History/Bio: JiHun was born into a wealthy family, of course since he is the prince. He is very protective of his sister, the princess. At an early age, he was separated from his people and was educated by the best teacher in the kingdom. Rarely going out to play, he built up a wall around him and didn't go outside at the age of five. At first he didn't know how to talk to others, so he always had an excuse to leave. As JiHun got older, the boy slowly came out of his shell and talked a little more. Even though he didn't talk a lot, his actions spoke for him. Spending most time outside now, playing with the younger children.

Extra: JiHun's eyes change colour from a light hazel to a dark green when he is mad. Although not instantaneously.
Theme Song: Feel Good Inc. - Gorillaz

Walking the halls of the palace, a servant made her way to the garden. A crisp white letter in her hands marked with the stamp of King Leo himself. Murky hazel eyes stared at the young woman expectantly. JiHun rose a brow as she gave it over to him coyly. All these new servants, he thought taking the letter sending her on her way. Gingerly, his pale hands opened it as he scanned each word. The first question that should have popped into his mind was why they were gather every prince and princess from each kingdom. He wondered instead though if he should go or not. Letting out a sigh, he went into his dad's study.

"JiHun, what do you have there?" The king's gaze going towards the letter. Gripping it harder, his lips turned downward.

"It's a letter from King Leo...about this meeting-" Cutting JiHun off, the king's head nodded vigorously. Cringing inwardly, he listened as the man explained that he and his sister would have to go. Whether they wanted to or not. Bowing, he left the study closing the door quietly. Why do they want to do this now? Groaning, JiHun lazily ran his hand against the corridor wall. He didn't even get a nap in, and now he has to prepare for some gathering? Might as well go to my sisters room, he thought sighing.

Sighing, JiHun couldn't find his sister anywhere so he went back to his room. Biting on his lip thoughtfully he tried to hold in his sigh. It was very unbecoming for a prince to sigh, his teachers would always say chastising him. Looking over to his oak dresser, he picked up a suitcase from underneath the bed. What would he need for the stay? Just the essentials he supposed, putting in some hairbrushes, clothes for both casual and formal occasions. Letting his fingers linger on some of the fabric made from silk. Admiring the oriental design, he packed it away neatly with a couple pair of shoes. Picking up a mirror, he looked at his reflection. He still had a childish looking face, cute is the work most would use. He didn't want to be 'cute' though, trying to rub the sleepiness away from his eyes, he got off the bed. The wooden boards creaking slightly from his weight, he gave one last look at the paper.

"Does it say the time?" Skimming over it, he couldn't find it. Clicking his tongue in irritation, he set the paper down. Running a hand through his messy black locks.

"JiHun," a knock from the door bringing his attention. "When will you be leaving? Have you packed everything yet?"

With a wave of the hand, JiHun replied, "Yes, but it seems I don't know when to go. I guess now...." getting off the bed he rubbed the back of his neck. Maybe he should eat something first then go the the capital? That sounded like a better idea.

Looking around, JiHun sighed as the carrige finally stopped. Fixing his clothes, he stared at the gateway where some of the guests were already arriving. Stepping off, he gave one last glance to his horses before the rider tipped his hat and speed off. Looking at the luggage, he fixed the mask already on his face. When he was done eating, his father informed him to put it on before he arrived, so he did. Tapping the side of the ceramic, he started to carry his luggage. You'd think someone would offer to carry it, he thought frowning. Heavy lifting wasn't his thing. Not being outside of his kingdom, the small interactions everyone made seemed scary. He couldn't lie though that it was an exciting experience, and he hoped to get out more often.

Now, where do I go? He thought looking around. Making way as others pushed passed him, it would probably especially hard to identify the prince and princesses of other kingdoms. Feeling a little inferior since his height didn't quite match up to the other guys around. Being one of the youngest princes, and short stunted ones self-esteem. "Better get moving," he murmured going with the flow.

Annoyance written all over his face, JiHun chose to stay in place as others rushed by. You'd think that they found the cure for death by the way they look, like chickens with their heads cut off. Social situations weren't his forte, especially from those he would consider outsiders. Letting out a indignant sigh, he lifted his suitcase before someone ran up to him. An apologetic look in there eyes.

"Sorry sir, may I get that for you?" Without replying, JiHun nodded shyly before passing over his belongings. That's what these people were there for, right? So he shouldn't have to worry about his things, he was sure the servants were competent enough on handling a prince's luggage. Wait, hitting his face, JiHun realized no one probably knew who the princes and princesses were. Right? Just his luck, shaking his head in dismay he looked out of the castle gates. He would wait here for his sister till everything settled down, the lush green trees intruiging him. He's never been in a forest, of course who would want to, but he's never experienced traveling.
Perhaps that could be one thing to look forward to with this stay, getting to know others and just....socialize. Even if he wasn't the most social person, no, he left the talking to his older sister. She seemed to be better at it than him.

Shifting around, JiHun heard his sister's familiar cry of 'Jiji' as she stumbled out of the carriage. The young woman was always good for a laugh, he thought hugging his sister. Probably the only one he could identify with the mask on. "Lien, I'm glad you're here." A smile lighting up his face as he asked for a servant to come and carry her things.
Even the man seemed to have some trouble with it, which he had to wonder what Chaolin had put in them. Probably a lot of books, he thought sighing. Looking around for a place to rest, he gestured Lien to sit down next to him. He didn't want his sister to wander off, especially in a place so big. Well, actually he was the one with the bad sense of direction, but that was the smaller details.

"What made you come so late? It doesn't matter," he said dismissively, "they don't seem to be do anything yet. So why don't we wait here for a while? Maybe we can see who the other prince and princesses are." Although he doubted it, with the masks on. Who knows who these people were?

Lien embraced her younger brother happily. She watched the servant carry her things, and giggled when even he did not have the muscles to do so "I am stronger than I think!" she laughed, and sat with her brother, nodding vigorously. "Ah yes, the other prince's and princesess' " she smiled and pulled her head closer to her brothers ears "I bet they are all pompus snobs," Li laughed again "Oh but I shouldn't say that, should I? Haha, I don't want to be the cause of a war because I am having a joke!"
The trees felt a gush of wind and blew loudly in the wind. She watched a few people conversing up the road a bit, but doubted that they were royalty "I personally cant wait to see who these other kids are, as long as they're not rude." her silk dress felt light on her skin "But how are you, my dear brother? I'm sorry I was so late, I hope you didn't get lost without me."

As Lien talked, JiHun nodded happily; although having a weird suspicion that someone was watching them. Looking around a little cautiously, he couldn't help but think that the others would be snobs. He was being a little to hypocritical though, but that's how he saw it.

"I hope you didn't get lost without me." Lien said jokingly, blushing fiercely JiHun looked away. His sense of direction was terrible, and his attention span wasn't the best. Then again he was fifteen, but that was no excuse.

"Don't worry, I don't plan on getting lost," but he knew that he probably would. Holding in a laugh he waved his hand, "It's fine you were late. Nothing really important has happened yet. Let's try to pick out who the other royalties are." Eyes hooking on some random people, JiHun decided that the others couldn't have been any older than nineteen. Maybe twenty at best, so they wouldn't look very old, and their voices wouldn't be deep deep. "Man, this is hard....."

"The best way to find out is to be social!" she stood up "We'll probably figure it out pretty quickly anyway, if they're supposed to be like us, brother and sister, they will most likely be together, both male and female." Lien held out her hand to JiHun, "But we must not give too much away, it's better if less people know we are royalty, don't you agree?"
Li looked around at the groups of people making their way into the castle. She wondered what would happen, if the children would meet officially or if it would be a mystery the whole time. Part of Lien was excited about this whole thing, but for the first time in years she felt nervous and uneasy and....shy, but she certainly did not want these feelings to pass onto her brother, as who knows how he would react to the first time Lien had ever been shy.
"I don't think Ive ever been to a party as big as this" she added, just to hint that she wasn't completely sure of things.

Taking his sisters hand, JiHun looked at the crowd of people, stifling a yawn. He wasn't tired, just bored right now. "Yeah, I agree. No one needs to know anything," JiHun said agreeing with his sister before shifting around. Being the youngest had it's ups and downs, one of them being when standing next to Lien was that he was a few inches shorter. His self-esteem low partially due to being small for his age. "So, if anyone asks I'm Avren okay?"
Once when tourists went to their kingdom....before their mother passed, JiHun greeted them expectantly. However, it seemed no one could pronounce his name correctly, and every time they tried they ended up murdering his name.

Fixing his mask, his doe-eyes wandered around, "Who should we talk to first?"

Without replying Lien made her way to the entrance of the castle where a huge crowd of people were chatting, dancing and having a good time. No one noticed her. She felt rather...odd, and small. She wasn't a very tall person, and rather skinny for someone her age, so people easily ignored her while they were enjoying themselves. She then thought of her little brother, younger and smaller than herself, and her arm instinctively went to JiHuns shoulder, making sure that he stood close to her.
"I'm not sure what to do," she admitted. Li saw people drinking alcohol and cringed, she was not used to that vile stuff...the only alcohol Lien had ever drunk was some strange liquid called...ah...what was it called? Wine, she thought, for special occassions. Chaolin always did say that her tastebuds were particular.
"I think...let us explore a bit. Perhaps someone will spark a conversation? And if not, then I don't mind so much...I do not understand why we are here in the first place, our kingdom is in peace," Lien was getting frustrated with the people pushing and shoving past her "We do not have much of an impression to go by, perhaps it is better if we leave without one aswell.".

Smoothing out the creases from the silk clothes, JiHun felt his sister wrap an arm around him protectively. He'd hate to ever admit this, but he felt a little powerless due to his appearance. Sure, his sister looked much more fragile, but if something bad happened. He shook his head wearily, nose sniffing the air, the smell of alcohol lingering around.

"Yeah,it would be best if didn't leave any impression," standing close, sent a glare towards the rude guests that pushed by them. Oh, if only they knew who the two were. They'd have everyone groveling at their feet. That wasn't the type of ing he wanted though, mouth drawn taut, he begN to lead Lien across the floor to a less crowded area.

She felt better when they reached a less crowded area. The room was hot but somehow comforting, it reminded her of something but she wasn't sure what, and that is when she decided that she wouldn't let the rudeness get to her. The castle must've been huge, there was bound to be something interesting she could explore, perhaps there was a music room somewhere...
To lighten up the mood between her and her brother, Lien decided to bring up a topic she had been musing about ever since she heard about this gathering, "Hm...I don't suppose my little Jiji will find a lady he likes while we are here?" she stiffled a laugh "Especially when they find out you are a young prince from Selestia! Oh how you will be such a ladies man, and to think...married so young!" Lien couldn't help but laugh, she knew her brother wouldn't be pleased by her words.

Hearing someone announce that every royal child was to report to the dinning hall, JiHun lead Lien out of the crowded room. Barely able to walk a few feet before someone bumped into him, which in return he'd give a small glare before he could break away from everyone. "Come on Lien, I think everyone is already there," trailing off he looked around. Spotting a servant, he grabbed the man's arm. Paling a little because of the height difference, he quickly looked away. A blush spreading over his face.

"Um, can you please tell us where the dinning hall is?" Smiling, he pointed towards a room at the end of the hallway. Thanking him, he quickly lead his sister to the area. It wasn't like he was afraid that she would get lost, it was more of support because she was better at talking than him. Opening the door, he found a long mahogany table at the center of the room. Spotting his father, the man smiled over and waved for his children to take a seat. Spotting a girl standing alone, he stared at his sister. She was one to always offer help, one thing he silently hated.

"Does anyone know what we're eating," his question more or less directed to everyone in the room. If they could even hear him or not.

Eyes darting across the table, JiHun's eyes visibly darkened at the sarcastic comment. It was just a simple question, someone should really teach that boy some manners, he thought holding a poker face. Rolling his eyes, he grew a little defensive. Before a comment could leave his lips, he saw his father frown from the corner of his eye. It probably would be best to just sit still and be quite. Not really caring for the man in white, his gaze averted to the plates and various utensils placed in front of them.

"Must be lowly if they are catering for your needs." Hearing his sister's tone, JiHun felt his heart rate quicken. Almost enough for him to hear it ram against his rib-cage, he stared at her trying not to smile. The man had it coming, you had to admit. Blinking a few times, Lien quickly apologized for her rude remark. Which was probably the best thing to do right now, wouldn't want to start a war. Rolling his eyes once again, only this time in exasperation he shook his head. Brown locks falling in front of his line of sight.

"Smooth Lien, very smooth," he murmured so only she and his father could hear. She really does have mom's personality, he thought kicking his foot idly.

JiHun tried not to show any more distaste at the young woman, presumably his sister, stood up for the man dressed in white. He usually didn't take things like this to heart, but it seemed like they just wished to further continue the petty argument. Or what sounded like it, and to think it all started by him asking what they were going to eat? It wasn't like he was asking when the servants will start doing their jobs, and....serve? That was just to mean, although he has been mean to some of his servants. But he quickly got a scolding afterwards. His mother before the....incident, teaching them manners.
Feeling Lien trap his leg, he tried not to smile, visibly wiggling a little in his seat to try and get out of the trap. She always had the upper advantage though since her legs were a bit longer. Just wait till I get my growth spurt, he thought still smiling. His sister making another comment, he just wished for the two of them to go back to their kingdom. Father in tow, but he knew that wouldn't happen.

For what reason they're here was beyond him, and he wasn't to keen on some of the royals already. Maybe they were just cranky, in need of a nap time perhaps? It wasn't that ridiculous, he still took naps in the afternoon. Only because he stays up so late at night though. Looking around the room, he started to count. There were still a few people AWOL, so it could take a while. Glad it wasn't him or he'd still be searching.

As JiHun finally freed his leg, he grinned in victory. Head bowed so the others wouldn't see him grinning. He'd probably look like a crazy person. Shaking his head, he sent a pointed stare to the girl Lien was talking to. He really didn't like it when someone called his sister arrogant, or anything to that affect really. Sending a glance to his sister, he saw that she wasn't to happy about the arrangements either. Most likely wanting to go back to Selestia already. Finally as the man dressed in white, which is what JiHun will call him, started to talk.

"Well, I am the stuff of nightmares. The people call me the Light, other, the Dark." JiHun wanted to scoff, what kind of explanation was that? Was he just doing that to annoy his parents, if he was, bravo. Looking towards the young man's parents, he cocked his head studying them. He's never seen the kings or queens of the other kingdoms so it would be hard for him to distinguish who came from where. Shifting a bit, JiHun frowned, "I like the name Mr. Sarcasm better," he mumbled softly. Fingers tensing on the chair.

Looking as the young woman, Abia frowned at him, JiHun could only look away. He was a little embarrassed to have commented something like that, no doubt his father was giving him a steely eyed glare. Maybe the young man shouldn't have been so...ugh, he didn't know how to put it; however, he had enough common sense to know not to argue any further. Not like anyone argued, just maybe a little heated talking? Looking towards the woman Ana, he blinked a few times. Raven Valley wasn't a place he'd want to go to, or so his teachers taught him. It was one of the most dangerous kingdoms they had.

Fidgeting a bit, he raised his head looking at all the faces in the room. "I'm JiHun," the pronunciation wasn't that hard, "and of course my sister already introduced herself. We're from Selestia." He ended taking in a deep breath. There wasn't a lot to know about his Kingdom, but it's not like he knew anything about the others as well.
