So begins...
Dakida entered the bar and took a look around. His red eyes taking in every sight, noting the changes and battle scars or more recent battles since the last time he had been here. Shaking his head as he went up to the counter and looked at the Holo-menu. Ordering a glass of blood wine, dragon's blood. A dark red wine made for those of Drow kind, for it was poisoned. However, being a vampire, he could ignore that as well. Playing for the drink he took the wine glass full of the dark red liquid and sat down at a table, kicking his feet up and relaxing. Leaning back in his chair and giving a smirk.
Oh, how he wished he didn't have to come this far for a drink. Not like it mattered.
Manik Chakor was here to deliver a letter. He lay low in the corner of the bar, near the doorway, seething at the putrid smells of the other patrons. Deliver the letter, and leave. It didn't take him long to spot his target, the one drinking blood from a wineglass.
Manik almost smiled, as he approached him through the shadows.
Hallo there.
Dakida tilted his head as he turned to face the one who had spoken to him."Hello there, whom might you be?" An eyebrow raised as he took a drink of his blood wine."Can I get you something to drink?" His red eyes watched the other man carefully. Unsure of who this stranger was or what his purpose was his free left hand was at the ready to grab his gun.
"No," Manik said, without removing his dark eyes from the stranger.
Silently, quickly, he removed something from his robe-like garment. It was a letter, neatly folded, sealed with blood red wax. A giant V blazed off of the back in a generous application of shining ink.
Manik handed it over, the parcel being too thick to contain only one letter.
He took it in one hand and raised an eyebrow."This isn't gonna like...explode with holy fire when I open it or something is it?" He asked curiously.
"No," Manik said again, clearly waiting for him to open the letter.
"You're sure? Cause I'd really hate being lied to." He said carefully to the man. Relaxing just a bit as he moved to slowly begin opening the thick letter. His right eyebrow raised curiously as he took another drink from his glass. Man that was good stuff!
"It won't harm you," Manik said with a hint of impatience.
"Okay okay sheesh, relax. Its not often people come up and just hand me stuff, I gotta cover my bases here." He rolled his eyes before opening it fully and taking a look at what was inside. Taking another drink while he examined the contents.
It was true, but Manik had little time to waste.
Once opened, the letter would reveal itself to be a series of three letters.
The first, handwritten, signed with a looping signature that started with a C. It appeared to be some sort of invitation, friendly.
The second, printed on some sort of press, hand signed and stamped. It read, "The Blood Edict". Farther down the page, on a part you had to unfold to read, was "The Humanity Clause".
The Third, handwritten, but with a lack of formality that indicated it was one of many. It was instructions, half written and half map-esque, on how to get to somewhere presumably. A castle?
"I am to await your response," Manik said, fangs slipping from beneath his lips.
He watched the man. Standing up and finishing his glass."Let us go then." he stated."I accept." His red eyes watching the other man as a smirk began to play itself across his face.
Manik Chakor couldn't help but smirk himself, leading the other from the bar and into the night.
"Welcome to our Domain, as you can see, it is well looked after," Manik would say to the one he had brought.
Dakida chuckled."Clearly." A nod of his head as he looked around the area."Gotta admit...seems kinda classic, like in those old black and white movies kinda thing you know? Dark forest...probably a creepy castle somewhere...." He laughed just a bit."Brings back memories."
"Creepy castle, yes," Manik said, as a random soldier flashed before them.
"Don't mind the hoards of soldiers," He whispered, "Or the blemishes," Manik pointed casually towards a low stone wall, outfitted with a turret. He was never into war aesthetics.
Manik then disappeared deeper into the woods.
Welcome,
Manik flourished towards the Castle, forgetting how grand it truly was. He didn't like it, preferred the dust of the road, but most people were impressed by it's stone oldness.
You may make yourself at home in any room, the upper levels house many. I do believe,
He sniffed, There are bodies in the Kitchen, if you thirst.
Dakida looked around and gave a whistle. Clearly impressed. Before shaking his head."I don't feed on humans. What I feed on I have to hunt, and they are not easy." He continued to look around the castle entry way. Taking in its grand stone oldness and chuckling a bit.
Yes, that is right,
He trailed off, then remembered something.
You must not eat any dragon that roam in the Domain.
Manik whirled on Dakida, growing a few inches, aging a few year, eyes pulsing a bit redder.
We are protected by one, undead, by the name of Mortuus. You are not to harm Mortuus, else harm will come to you. Prey in Valhalla Valley for the care of us!
Manik shrunk, looking warily towards the kitchen.
"I only drink two kinds. Both of which are not undead, both of which are evil. The greedy Red Dragons, and the ever vile and rare Moon dragons." He hissed."Other than that I would not go near most dragons." Dakida wasn't all that intimidated by Manik. But he understood and nodded his head.
Good,
Manik nodded, too distracted by the thought of cooled lady to push Dakida.
Well,
He stepped towards the kitchens, I will be over in here. I'm sure you'll run into someone soon,
Manik stifled a yawn, Some sorta trouble...This is a busy castle...
