Ada shimmered into existence mere inches from the counter, obviously not caring who saw her entrance as she lifted one of the touchscreen menus and scrolled through the program to order her usual- a glass of cognac. As she awaited her order, she turned slightly to one side, laying her right forearm against the edge of the bar and her black eyes travelled from patron to patron. Not many of them appeared to be entertaining, at least not in the way she desired. One woman looked sickly, a soldier emitting pheromones was chatting up a rather leggy looking mage and there was some sort of odd monkey man perched upon the counter itself.

Turning back to fully face the bar, the demoness made a slight face as she pulled herself up onto a barstool to await her drink. She despised boredom even more than she despised clerics and the faint threads of monotony were already starting to invade her senses. Where were the entertaining people?

Ada senses Xvander even before he enters the bar and her eyebrow arches silently. Something is different. Usually he has an almost human-like aura. In fact, the first night she had met him she had simply assumed he was one of those augmented humans, super powered, supernormal, whatever in the world they called themselves nowadays. Though when she had scanned his blood, she knew that he was something quite different from a human. She just hadn't figured out what he was... Yet.

As Xvander sat down beside her, she turned her head, glancing over him for a moment without showing any surprise at his drink of choice tonight. He did, indeed, seem.. dangerous. Different. And it made her pause before making a teasing comment. "Cognac isn't to your taste anymore?" She asked with a hint of a smirk, reaching over to pluck her own drink from the server's tray as it rolled towards her.

Narrowing her gaze at the man, Ada tenses briefly as she senses his aura expanding from his own body to encompass her and she remains still until she feels it retract once more. Her piercing black eyes try to meet his, though his gaze is hidden by his sunglasses, and when she sees the same blackened veins at the very edge of his eyewear her brow furrows. "What happened?" Is all that she asks, a rather hollow tone affecting her voice. She had come here for excitement, entertainment, but this? She didn't even know what -this- was. Was he dying? He certainly sounded like it.

Ada kept her countenance rather neutral which was surprising given the tidbits of information that he was providing for her. There were very few species that had access to any sort of self-induced evolution and she was honest enough to admit that she had no idea which creatures they were. She didn't have to understand them as foes because those species usually veered away from demons and she didn't have to study them as potential allies because they were so predatory in nature that they rarely worked together.

Lifting her hand slowly, she reached out to lightly touch the corner of his eye that was visible beside the edge of the sunglasses, trying to sense what was happening through touch rather than sight. "What realization and what...." she paused, her fingertip making contact with the papery skin above one of the blackened veins, "Sort of evolution are you trying to induce?"

Ada laughed. A sudden, abrupt sound that held no actual joy or amusement but something more along the lines of incredulity. The sudden, vice-like grip on her wrist didn't phase her, she had died a hundred or more times before and though the pain was always present, she knew that should anything happen to her she would just reappear in hell. Time and time again she had battled clerics, holy men or simple do-gooders looking to rid the world of demons and after the first dozen times she had stopped trying to waste her breath explaining to them that their attempts were in vain.

But Xvander? What possible reason would he have to harm her? "So you foresee us battling in the future, hmmm?" Her eyes scanned his face and though her tone held a slight teasing tone her jaw was set as she clenched her teeth.

Ada tilted her head slightly, pondering his explanation before explaining her own mindset. "My people fight out of sheer boredom as well. We fight for political position, power, out of anger or distrust or betrayal or simply because we dislike the way you look. But it is always sprung from a negative emotion." She mulled over the possibilities for another brief moment before continuing. "My kind cannot die. What then?" her eyebrow raised with faint curiousity, "Does your kind actually accept a draw? Or, if we were to come to blows, would the battle rage on for eternity?"

Sadly, it wasn't even the idea of prolonged violence that was off putting. She was simply worried that the only creature even slightly entertaining in this City seemed to be from a race even more violent than her own.

Ada repeated her question from before, rephrasing it to see if she could get him to answer this time. Or even just provide a bit more detail. "So what evolutionary track have you taken since yesterday?" Once more her gaze swept over Xvander, slowly, obviously moving from his face down along his neck and torso, awaiting his reply. "What do you think you need to gain in order to best me?" The slightest twitch of her lips appeared, indicating that the conversation itself isn't a deterrent and neither is the thought of violence, just the manner in which the violence begins.

Ada laughs, enjoying the verbal games but her curiosity was getting the best of her. Lifting a hand, she caressed a hand over his aura as it projected from his body, able to feel the fluctuations of energy surrounding him. "You should be a politician," she said, having had plenty of experience with the human politicians due to her ability to reap souls in exchange for favors with the mortals, "Your lips move and you speak quite fluently but you tell me very little of actual use." She winks at him, distracting him visually while she uses her own aura to test his. Is it defensive? Sensory? Offensive?

Ada laughed again, obviously unfazed by the counter attack. Instead, she is amused and her curiosity is at least partially sated, for now. Her own aura is like a pliable mass surrounding her own thin frame, absorbing loose energy as it feeds itself. Unshielded or untrained mages are some of her favorite people to be around simply because they have an excess amount of energy and if they don't know how to properly contain that energy, Ada will drain it from them without question.

She leans onto the bar, crossing her arms over her midsection and leaning against them as her eyes continue to study him. "Not bad, if that is your newest... power?" she turns it into a question, unsure of how else to phrase the change in his aura. "I would ask if you wished to conduct further tests but I will play nice for now..." Another melodic laugh escapes her lips as she reaches up, letting the pad of her thumb trace over the same path that the drop of acid had taken down his chin. She was intrigued at his regeneration rate and wondered if it was another 'power' that he had acquired in the past.

Ada laughs once more, asking rather bluntly. "And where is your home?" Her eyes meet his, twinkling with amusement as she raises her cognac for the first time since their conversation started. She takes a deep, slow sip, finishing about half of the glass and when the server stops by with Xvander's drink, she gestures to the robot to top off her own glass as well. "You tease and you taunt, never full explaining. I admire that since I am the same way but you're proving quite frustrating." An almost feral grin creeps over her lips as she continues, "You're almost as bad as a d...." she stops herself, smoothly changing what she would have said into something new, "Damn sphinx. Nothing but riddles." She dropped her hand away from his face, settling it onto her thigh instead.

Ada felt her own eyes widen slightly as Xvander lowered his glasses, showing her that his eyes matched her own at the moment. Deep, bottomless black pits with no color to them at all. Intriguing, indeed. That sadistic portion of her soul was trying to coerce her into testing his aura again, sensing his momentary weakness but for some reason she held her desires at bay. Yet, as he asks her his question she feels the pull at her throat, immediately sending that he is somehow trying to entice the answer whether she would wish to share it or not.

Another interesting occurrence.

So, she plays along, giving him the smallest bit of information to nibble on, phrased in the form of the riddles she loves so dearly. "Ahh, well you know my name but you don't know my [i]name[/b]. Once you do, however, you would have absolute power over me." That was actually quite a large hint, not a mere tidbit, but she wasn't afraid to let the fact be known since demon names were particularly well guarded for exactly that reason. She had heard of a succubi that had somehow had her name discovered by a cop and Ada was thankful that she had never been so frivolous with her true name.

Ada grinned as the tables were turned and he demanded more of her than she was currently willing to give. She leaned back a bit, crossing her legs one over the other and tilted her head as she pondered him openly. "What level of information would entice the level of information that I wish in return? I don't know how closely you value your homeland so I don't want to disrespect you by offering something frivolous in exchange." She was still toying with him, that much was obvious, but few (if any) really knew anything more of Ada than she had already shared so this was new territory for her. What was she willing to pay to extract information that would sate her curiosity?

Ada pondered his offer for a few moments before shaking her head, a playful grin upon her lips. "What do I care for the location of your planet? I wish to know more of your people, they sound more entertaining. What are you? What can you do? Why is your blood toxic and you drink acid like water? Those bits of information would elicit most any question of your own to be answered in return, except of course my true name."

Ada mused at his foolhardy blood pact but she was intrigued enough to do the same. Pressing the thumb from her right hand against her left palm, she extended her nail, slicing easily through the thin flesh to draw blood which welled up crimson red against lily white skin. "Then I swear to you on my true name that I will never reveal what you tell me," she chose to swear upon her true name since the penalty of eternal undeath was more of a trifle to her people. They relished death, pain, etc so the fear that someone may have control over them was far greater than anything else in her existence.

She extended her hand towards him to shake on it, allowing a thin rivulet to begin its course down her palm, following gravity. "Is that a promise enough to suit you, Xvander?" She asked as she awaited his response.

Ada looked down at her palm as she drew it away from his own, barely registering the sting of pain as their bond was acknowledged by the Fates. Her own wound seemed to suddenly sizzle and a light smoke arose from her flesh as her body absorbed the man's oddly toxic blood. Waste not, want not.

When her deep black eyes found Xvander's once more, she arched a brow, surprised at his heritage. The Uradu? A ferocious race of creatures known for the repeated genocide of every race on their planet. She knew that his body was a 'host' but she hadn't linked him to the vicious species until he had actually said something since what little information she knew about the race likened them more to alien-like forms than human ones.

Returning the favor of true introductions, she inclined her head slightly in respect before delivering her own story. Though, truly, it wasn't as entertaining as his own. "The name you will know me by remains the same, Ada. I am a Demon Queen and currently rule over the second level of Hell though currently my General is ruling in my stead, obviously plotting a rebellion since it is what I would do in his shoes." She smirked slightly, amused. "I came here first on a whim, after having heard a lower level demoness was foolish enough to have a mortal, a cop no less, learn her true name. I have stayed on simply out of amusement."

Ada laughed at his reaction, pleased that he wasn't quite so willing to drop to one knee at her feet upon learning her title as so many other men seemed to do. Being a Queen meant power in more than one sense of the word and most men, especially mortals, desired power. "You are, indeed, entertaining. No one else has made me return three nights in a row to seek them out." She said quite honestly with a slight tilt of her head as she studied his features. "Your people, the Uradu...." she began, about to lead into her next question when she heard a loud hiss issue from Xvander's lips, causing her to turn quickly in her seat to see what had his defenses kick into action. Instead of helping or interfering, however, she simply watched to see how the situation played out. In her culture, one's worth was set upon one's power and she was interested to see how he would handle this if it turned into a battle.

Ada arched both brows simultaneously, suddenly intrigued by the otherwise unentertaining human that had somehow caught Xvander's attentions. Death? Disease? Both of these things were near and dear to her heart and she glanced at Xvander questioningly before standing up and moving towards the human.

"Ahhh, you know, there are ways to cheat death...." she offered, circling Pariah with an almost predatory gaze. "But you probably aren't interested in such things....." The demoness trailed off, looking towards the young blonde that was trying oh-so-desperately not to pay attention. A smirk crossed her lips as she circled closer, leaning so that her lips neared the man's ear, "If you lived longer, were healthier, you could regain everything you have lost. You could go after everything that you couldn't go after before." The demoness continued her trail around the man then until she stood to Xvander's side.

Ada tsked softly as the parasitic infection began to rapidly expand in the man and as a tendril whipped out at her, she couldn't help but utter a ragged laugh. Catching the tentacle with her hand, she engulfed her hand in flame. Being a Demon Queen she could hurl fireballs and catch just about anything on fire and this creature was trying to fight her? How utterly quaint.

Extending her nails, she curled her fingertips, spearing her talons into the flesh of the parasitic organism so that it couldn't retract itself from her grip and she turned the intensity of her heated grip up a notch so that the creature was more likely to disinitegrate in her hand rather than pull away.

Ada arched a brow. Being a demoness, she had no soul of her own and thus, cared not for the human being consumed by the parasite. Once the creature had fled across the room, her own interest waned significantly and she walked back over to her stool, perching delicately on its seat as she looked over at Xvander. "Let him be consumed. I offered him a deal and he didn't take it. I am not joining the fray."

Propping her left elbow onto the counter, she leaned her hand against her temple, propping her head up as she watched over the scene before her. Silly humans. If the mage died or failed, perhaps then the human male would run back and beg for her offer once more. So many mortals deemed souls a fairly easy trade when mortality was so close at hand.

Ada kept her chin propped on her upturned hand, still not moving a muscle otherwise. "I can't take their souls, I can't sense evil in any of the three here..." Her black eyes followed the woman in red as she ran across the bar, momentarily amused by her antics. "So murdering them won't be any fun. Can you use any of them to evolve?" She asked, suddenly curious at the idea since she had no clue as to what was required or what specs needed to be met for him to do so.

The demoness eyed Xvander once more, admittedly drawn to his form whether it was the slimmer, tightly muscled one that he held now or the one he had held before when they first met.
