Anarchy sat atop the buildings surrounding the gardens. His eyes always watching for humans. For prey. The blades on his gloves tapped the metal gutters of the buildings. He grinned beneath his mask. People in the gardens. His favorite hunting ground. The recent murders, his work, had been spooking most people but these lovelies must not have heard the news.

Oh joyous of days. The killer edged his way along the building, until he could see who it was that had spoken. A girl. Cute one to. He ventured to guess she had soft skin. He liked women's skin. He could cut through it like a hot knife through butter, and the organs, oh the organs. He grinned beneath the red mask he wore.

He couldn't hold back, he had to meet here. He had to cut her. He stopped himself. "No, too bright." He shuddered. He crept back slowly, and took a deep breath. There would always be more in the gardens. Always more. Slowly, the murdered crept back and away from the gardens. Another time, perhaps. Another time.

A young man placed his hands on the cold cement wall at the end of the alley. He was trapped. He turned around to see the red masked man walking towards him. The boy's breath came in stutters as he stuck his arms out in a futile attempt to stop the killer.

Anarchy was grinning beneath his mask, and his heavy breaths spiked with the occasional joyed grunt. He muttered to himself, "Soft skin'll cut good. I'll split it, and then I'll take his ticker." The blades on his gloves clinking lightly together. He was excited. Oh so very excited.

The young man opened his mouth to let out a cry, but Anarchy caught him by his throat and reduced his cry to a strained gurgle. The blades slowly crossed the man's throat, and his eyes rolled back into his skull as he died. "Shshsh, my friend. It'll be over soon." Anarchy whispered into his ear. The young man collapsed on the ground, and Anarchy set about cutting him open until finally. Finally, the moment arrived when Anarchy felt the heart in his hands. It was perfectly soft. He laughed quietly, and rolled the body onto his stomach before sliding the heart into his long cape. It was perfect. So very perfect.

Anarchy froze, and turned slowly. His yellowed eyes were visible through the dingy red holes in his mask, "Good afternoon." He muttered to himself. He stood, and opened his arms and began running as fast as he could towards Duncan. He didn't make any noises except for the occasional grunt of joy.

A second kill. Two in one day. That's two more than yesterday. Two entire lives would be Anarchy's. He held out his hand and gritted the metal blades against the wall. It made a loud scratching noise, and sparks struck from the stone and metal.

As Anarchy neared the man, he would ready his blades to pierce the man's chest. Directly on target with the heart. Anarchy had already gotten his heart for today, maybe now he'd take a lung. Or two.

Anarchy drew close, and plunged his knives towards the man's chest only to be met by the shards of a beer bottle. It smashed easily off of his mask, and Anarchy growled loudly as the man turned and fled.

A angered howl filled the evening air, and Anarchy pursued. "Let's slow down and take a breath. Or at least I'll take yours." He laughed, pushing a young woman off of the sidewalk. She careened into the street, and landed in the mud, "Hey, watch where you're going, psycho!" She shouted at him. She was entirely right. He was a psycho.

Anarchy was fast. Mostly because of his chasing his targets. He didn't normally need to chase him because he liked to trap them in places. The idea of them having no way of escape normally made them bite back, and he loved breaking their teeth.

Anarchy had a feeling of exactly where the man was going. He'd need to circle around. As he approached the old woman, he kicked off of the wall and past her. Even though he could easily sail past her, he slashed her chest and neck as he jumped. She fell lifelessly to the ground.

Then as Duncan turned and ran, Anarchy went his own way and cut through a side alley. He grabbed on to a pipe, pulled himself up, and then leaped to the roof. When he landed he rolled, and jumped to another roof. He was fallowing Duncan from the rooftops now.

"Trying to run to safety." He muttered, grinding his teeth together beneath his mask.

Anarchy grabbed on to a gutter, and then dropped down to street level behind Duncan. "Looks like you've got no where to go." He said, chuckling lightly. The ever ominous claws clinked together while he began his casual walk towards his new victim. His new kill.

He muttered, "No getting away this time, not a second time." As he neared Duncan, he stopped and looked at the fence. The man was too big to get through there, and if he did, Anarchy would be back on the roof tops in seconds. "Now, why don't you just give up?" He asked, his voice rather raspy.

He noticed the red staining the man's sweater, "Looks like you're doing most of my work for me." He said, chuckling. If Duncan started to make it through the fence, he'd try and put one of his blades through the man's leg. That'd slow him down.

Anarchy stepped up to the fence, and watched as Duncan limped off. "For now. For now you are safe." He muttered kneeling to pick up the pants that Duncan left behind. Within in them was an wallet. He opened the wallet, and slid out a driver's license.

"Duncan Keith." He muttered, closing the wallet again. The murderer turned and left, grinning sickly beneath his mask. He knew who the runner was now. He'd find him again, and when he did there would be blood. More blood. He disappeared into another alleyway just as the morning sun began to light the world.

Anarchy had a feeling that he'd be seeing Duncan again soon enough though. Very soon.

Anarchy watched the woman walk towards the cars. His eyes looking over her. Examining. He muttered to himself, "Looks like soft skin.. pretty hair... hands." He clicked his claws together, and stayed in his hiding spot for now. If only he'd had more time. He would've gotten closer to surprise her. For now, he had to watch from a distance.

His jaw tightened a little, and his eyes went from her and scanned the area. No one around. She was alone. A wicked grin slowly came over his face, and he straightened his mask. he couldn't let anyone see his face, not even the person he was about to kill.

He could almost feel her warm heart in his hands. Anarchy was no regular killer. He wanted more than just the blood on his hands. He always took a little something from them to remember his kill. His keepsake of her would be the heart.

Anarchy kept talking to himself, muttering little details about her body. He shook his head a little, and snapped back to reality. It was time. She'd gotten to where he'd be able to come from behind if he attacked now. He pulled his hood up over his head, and he stood.

He exploded from the bushes and started at a full sprint towards her. He held his arms out by his side and expanded the metallic claws. He laughed under his breath, and kept muttering about how excited he was or how much he wanted to cut her.

He'd spent most of his life chasing his victims, and if Molly ran then he'd most likely be able to catch up. That is, unless she had been training as vigorously as Anarchy did.

Anarchy frowned as she ran, "Damn.. Next time, quieter." It was almost like he was giving himself orders. His frown returned to a wicked grin as Anarchy began to catch up. "Why don't you stop and take a breath, darling?" He said just loud enough for her to hear. His voice was almost like a grinding sound as he spoke. He laughed at the question, and ran even harder than before.

The blades on his fingers clicked together menacingly as he ran. He wanted to see if she looked as pretty on the inside as she did on the outside. He had been wanting a heart for a while, but while he chased her he decided he'd take her eyes instead. Eyes were much more practical.

Anarchy caught up quickly, and went to swipe his blades at her face. He was quick, and all of the speed and strength training he'd undergone would make the slash even worse if it connected. If she dodged, he'd swipe again with the other hand. That had always been his plan. Just keep swiping until they die. At least that's what he'd been told to do.

"You have such pretty eyes." He muttered under his breath. Those eyes would be his, just like all of the parts he'd taken from the others.

Anarchy turned slightly as someone shouted. The stick caught him and threw his mask off, revealing his face. He drew up his hands quickly, and then was hit in the chest by her punch. It knocked him on his back, but he pushed himself up, removing his hands from his face.

It was very scarred, and his eyes were yellowed, but once he had been very handsome. He turned, and began to run away. There were more people, he should've seen them. Why hadn't he seen them? He'd dig another deep wound into his face when he got home as punishment for his own failure. That is, if he got home.

Anarchy paused to catch his breath on a flickering lamp post, and he scanned the area around him. He'd escaped the duo, but now he was sure that they had backup. At least cameras that were tracking him, if not men with guns. Anarchy hated guns.

He stumbled through the bushes, and slid his cape off. He had to get away, he could always get another cape. He stumbled over some bikes, and fell to the ground. Almost as soon as he hit the pavement, he scrambled up and broke into a full sprint away.

Anarchy kept running until he turned down an alleyway and came to a dead end. He placed his hands on the stone wall and let out a quiet sight before departing. Only Anarchy departed, not the body. Austin Daniel Ortiz returned to Wing City. He fell to his knees and looked down at his hands.

"Wh-where am I?" He asked himself quietly. What had happened? Last thing he remembered he was shouting at his brother from the kitchen of his house. The man looked up at the entrance to the alley way. He took a few frightened and confused steps towards the flashing lights.

As he walked he caught his reflection in a window. He slowly placed his hands on his face, and let out a frightened cry that was almost muffled by the sirens.

The man turned around with tears streaming down his face. His eyes had turned a light blue instead of the disgusting yellow that they had been. He held out his hands which he had pried the blades off of. He let out another quiet cry.

"Who are you?! Where am I?!" He shouted, his voice no longer grinding and rough. If any of the MCU agents used to listen to XM98.5 in the morning, they might recognize him as the DJ that went missing several months back.

His eyes fluttered, and he collapsed.

The man laid there silently, even after he came to he kept his eyes closed and played dead. Anarchy had left him, and had lingered around the agents for a moment before embarking off into the city. He'd find a new host soon enough, and then he'd be able to continue until he found what he was looking for.
